S-CRY-ED: road to oblivion

[Rex]

this is an RPG by me an BA.

Set several years after "The Great Uprising", a future geological phenomenon near Tokyo, people have developed a power granting them the ability to deconstruct, reshape, and crystalize matter at a molecular level using only thought and willpower. These people have come to be known as "Alter" users, and with only 1% of the newborn generations receiving such special power (though later in the series it is stated that the number has increased to 5% and steadily continuing to rise), some feel a superiority over normal humans.

There are two opposing forces of alters: the Native Alters, a group of Alter users who live outside the central city and avoid any relationships with the government; and HOLY, an organization of Alter users that are a subgroup of an organization called HOLD. HOLD functions as the Mainland government's super police force of the Lost Ground, while HOLY, composed exclusively of Alter users, serves as the 'special operations' group, aiding HOLD in performing dangerous missions that might require the help of an Alter user.

Rox excited the Holy training room, after trying to practice the a more rapid transmutation of matter into energy to release his alter faster, in the fights between Alter users, the one who could draw his weapon faster always won, and that was the first rule for any battle.

Coming his short blue hair into his trade mark hair-do, Rox Galden changed to his HOLY uniform as he now awaited his next mission.

Rox stared at the writen orders that had been given to him, he was supposed to guard the new Alter investigation terminal outside the city.

Jobs outside the safety of the city did not bother him at all, but it was the mission itself, HOLY specialiced in hunting regenade Alters, so the only logical option that he was setted as an bait to draw some powerful native....

"But a mission is a mission...." Rox took one of the tranport vehicles as he and his unit went to protect the new cargo terminal of the alter research group....

Rox and his team had arrived to the barren desert that the Research Team was located, it basicly tried to help the natives out, and try to analyze their alter while they were unsuspecting.

All of this was part of the plans of the Continent for the Alters, plans that did not bode well with the fire alter user.

Rox was tired of the silent routine of the reaserch team, and hoped for any sign that he could be ready for any sort of mission in his newly assigned place.

And that thing came.

"Are you Rox of HOLY...."The female in front of him was very familar, but he identefied her as an scientist at once...


"Yes what do you need something..." The female nooded as she continued...

"I need you to come with me to help me to collect some samples further, I am receiving several signals form Alter users, so I thought you could help me with them..."

Rox rose from his seat at the couch as he tunred to the petite form of the female scientist, "Well mam, you got yourself a bodyguard, what's your name?"

The silver haired female smiled at the member of HOLY as she moved to the hangar to take an jeep, "Call me Yue.."

And thus both left to the desert

Rox moved silently as he watched the silver haired Yue take a pair of binoculars to observe the two different Alters fighting, they both were not that powerful as he remembered the rumors about some insanely strong Alters users in both the forces of HOLY and the Natives, but thankful to this date he had never fought someone of the level of the Supreme Commander of HOLY.

The young scientist took short notes while she observed the skills of the users of the Alter.. as if they were some sort of test animals. He did not though whether to be disgusted about this behavior or try to find what the young girl was trying to do.

Rox sighed as he clutched the pendent he carried in form of a red feather, the only memento he had of his family, and the reason he continued in HOLY....

Yue continued her analysis of the Alter powers, using a special machine, which resembles some mixture between a camera and a energy caption device, as it analyzed the psychic ability of the alter to transform matter into energy and reform it into their assigned ability.

Rox would have left the red-eyed lady with her machinations, but that instant he felt the change in the psychical space as someone summoned an alter ability. He quickly grabbed the silver haired geneticists as he jumped aback evading the blade of the new alter that formed in front of him.

The Alter he found was some sort of harmonizer as it changed the user's body into some sort of armor with thick blade sprung form the sides of it.

"Let-s fight HOLY scum...".. the treat was clear, Rox summoned his alter the blazing winds of fire appearing on his back as he prepared to defend his charge.

The armored blade arms of the Native alter glowed as the man jumped, his powers augmenting his physical abilities to enabler him to reach him up in the sky.

Rox moved as he threw the girl up in to the air, and quickly side dodged the bladed attack, Rox quickly spun around the descending man as he commanded his wings to activat.

The red metallic limbs came to life as the were engulfed in flames, Rox dived down using his aerial advantage to strike his opponent with the wings, "Wing Saber!" The left wing slinced the armor in half, barely sparing its user, signaling Rox's victory in the fight.

Heard Rox call out and knew instantly he was in another fight with a native. Casually walks over to were he heard the sound and sure enough he finds Rox and another native. Walks over with his hands in his pockets as he says to Rox “Guess I should record this as a point to your score. This will make it 18 I believe.”

Rox flew with Yue in his hands, no there could be enemies at any sigh, he needed to protect the girl, adn thus he was heading for the base, he would have to go for the city, he needed to know for what were the experiments on the Alter Natives and also who the hell was Yue Minasaki.

Sighed as he watches Rox fly off towards the base and walks back to the group. As he walked into the transport he calls out to the team “Round up your gear and get into the transport. We are heading back to base for concern of possible multiple native alter attacks. Now move it!” As he sat down, the research team began packing up and moving into the transport. As soon as everyone got on bored, Pyce signals to move out to base.

As he looks out the window he begins to ponder on why Rox left. Goes over the papers the research team developed but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary from their past trips. Sighs as he heads back to his seat just in time to see the city gates open as the enter.

Rox pased arpound his room as he read several of the key research papers that he had "borrowed" from Yue and the others sicientist in the comotion of his entry to the city, the experiments did not reveil anything that he had not heard about, as it delved into the Alter User's skills to change amtter into energy to form their powers but still it wasn't something that he had not heard before.

He would have to find Yue again but for the momnet Rox Galden went to his bead as he prepared for the much needed sleep, he could worry of this tomorrow

After the trasport stopped, Pyce headed off the transport and towards his assigned room in the holy HQ were he after every mission. Sighed as he muttered "I'll do the report later. I am so tired I can't even see straight..." Wobbly continues to his room in hopes of a good nap.

As he heads to his room, he hears an announcement about a native sighting near the coast. Sighs as he turns around and dashes back to the transport with the though of a good challenge. Makes it to his usual seat orders for the driver to hurry to the coast.

Rox woke up at the alarm in his own room, there was a strange sighting reported by ones of the units on the Coast, the chain of command had asked him to go and give support, probably counting on his abilities to fly to help him reach in time.

Finding no needed to bother with his new mission, Rox jumped out of the window of the tall skyscraper, altering several stray pieces of dust and a clay pot form his room, his flaming red wings appeared as he took off to help the survey what was happening.

Rox landed on the top of the vehicle, as the wings of his fire alter fold, turning into a sort of standby mode, "Ne, so you are taking all the fun, Pyce..."

Rox smirked as he awaited what Pyce would do with the aproching alters.... it would definately be fun to watch.

Xenras sees a hooded man smiling. "Eh, kind of creepy." Xenras wonders what he is smiling about.
