The Lost Civilization: Atlantis

Dear Jorunal,
Entry 1

In that city so deep below, where the old civilization is lost. Where only men dream of going to. Where the deep sea seems so down below, where life seems impossible. That lost city of Atlantis. I have tried many times to reach into the hearts of those fortunate men whose wealth grows more still, but I have failed and turning to my grandfather the only soul that longed for me, who pushed me further who told me the story of Atlantis.

Dear Journal,
Entry 63
Three years have gone past that I have abandoned my dreams and two since my dear old grandfather died. I’ve been lost in agony and on the streets reduce to that of a beggar. If this poor mans heart can be broken any further let it happen, I can take no more…

Later that day…
“Henry D. Oswald, grandson of the great scientist Rutherford Oswald, welcome to my humble home,” announced the man. Henry had no clue on what was happening, but one thing was sure… his grandfather had something to do with it. “Excuse me… you must have me confused, my grandfather was named Mark, sir,” Henry insisted. “Nonsense, young man… let me tell you the story of your grandfather’s travels.”

A few hours later there were a few thing circling Henry’s mind… His grandfather had been a great scientist and had left him his will… That rich life of his Henry had not known. His will contained a letter that went like this:

Dear Henry,

It was not my intention to let you know of what I really was in life. That way you would have grown as spoiled as your father. I leave you everything I own…
Follow your heart, trust in the light.

With much love,
Your Grandfather

With all this in mind Henry knew what to do, search for Atlantis. Fulfill his dream, no not his dream. His grandfathers dream.

There love of the ocean brought them similar jobs, though he an oceanographer and Henry a researcher. His love adventured pushed him on, and to satisfy his thirst he has joined the crew.

Bio: She grew up with her two brothers, and four cousins, she loved to fix the bikes they rode, and even helped her uncle fix his motorcycle, and when she was old enough, she learned to remake an entire car, she worked at her father's shop, and when she decided to quit to do experience a bit more, he threw a fit and disowned her.

Bio: Britt has been interested in medical stuff since she was little. she used to always go on journeys with her two brothers and helped them if they got injured. One day one of her brothers went on a journey by himself and got injured really bad.No one was there to help him and he died from serious wounds. her whole family blamed her for not being their for him and they all resented her. So she ran away and now she wanders around town looking to help people and stuff.

Bio: Grown up in the streets, raised by a father, picking cardboard in the alleys. He used to explore every corner of his hometown. He could memorize every spot perfectly, which made it easier for him to parkour his way everywhere. When his father died, he found a job as tourist guider throughout nearby tows, which got him into Navy Armies, as he spent most of the time guiding near the Ocean. When he found out about this big Atlantis Discovery Journey, he knew and was determined about joining. He just had to experience something like this. With the age of 16, all he wants is to travel around.

Having no one else to turn to for help, she went to her friends, who gladly took her under their wing. She has been living with them ever since.
Appearance:Lily has fair skin, dark brown hair, and jade green eyes. Around her neck is a jade pendant, given to her at birth. She wears tattered jeans, ripped shoes, and a thin, patched shirt.

Reason for Joining Crew: The crew needed a mechanic.
Bio: Second Lieutenant discharged from the military days before joining the crew. A mechanical genius, and is slightly superstitious of the Atlantians.
Appearance:
Head: A messy mop of blonde hair often tied back in a rough braid. When possible, he shaves. Other times he has a light blonde moustache. Blue eyes. A slightly pointed nose and ears.

Torso: Skinny, yet well-muscled and adecquately powerful for everyday tasks aboard the crew's submarine. Wears a blue t-shirt and a leather tool vest. There is also a small holster sewn to the right side of his chest, into which is inserted a derringer pistol.

He became quite and he never wanted to talk or be friends with anyone. But, one day he found out that there was a chance that his lost family memebers did not die but were transported to Atlantis. Now Ryan wants to find the mystical land of Atlantis and find out what happened.

Chapter 1: The meet at the harbor
The sun is blazing and the sea reflecting the harsh beams of light. It's a half hour past lunchtime and there is a crowd surrounding the harbor. A huge mechanical structure towered over the people as it hovered in the water. The verification booth stood and as every man passed his ticket they got on board the S.S. Anne. Every sailor, man and woman had the faintest idea of what was to come and as they borded the ship the line shortened slowly coming to a halt and the few that had trouble getting in were left behind.

Aaran walked down the entrance hall stairs and out onto the streets of Atlantis, she looked around in search of her sister as she had been requested by her father. She looked over the people in the city street, not being able to pick her sister out, "Where is that girl..." Aaran quickly walked through the people, them looking at her, some looking strangely, a woman bumped into her and apologized a million times, "I am sorry, I should watch where I place my footsteps." she smiled shyly, Aaran smirked, "I am looking for Naida, have you seen her?" The woman nodded slowly, Aaran let out an irritated breath, "thank you." she continued on to look for her.

Naida walked around the streets of Atlantis....she looked around and sighed.."what to do today.." she said to herself as she looked around..

Aaran cramped together squeezing through the people, she fell out and turned looking at the crowd and fixed herself. She looked up where she saw Naida up at the market ahead, she nodded her head and walked towards her.

Mark feeling neither irratated or pleased sat down next to the booth, hed been there for an hour already because he had lost his ticket yet no one seemed to recognize him and therfore he was let back. 'Can you let me in now, the sun is blazing hot," Mark argued as he sweated staring at the man under the shade. The shady character responded,"No pass, no passing." Mark just sat back and waited a couple more minutes before spotting his mate on the sub. "Hello there Henry," Mark yelled. Henry looking down from the submarine spotted his friend. "What are you doing there Mark, you'll get fried," he laughed. "Very Funny Henry, just tell the guard to let me in." Signaling to the guard that it was O.K. for Mark to pass he headed past the guards into the submarine and met his old friend. "Mark Silvermoon, here to find Atlantis?" Henry inquired. "If you say so Henry, you know I'm always up for an adventure, and besides at that depth I'll be sure to map the ocean floor." Henry walked Mark into his cabin, "This will be your quarters for the meantime, the meeting room is at the 5th level right next to the navigation center." Mark mumbled, "I came here to graph the ocean, not your sub." And they both had a good laugh. "Well, see you later old chap I must check up on the main crew.

Aaran put her head down and crossed her arms, soon staring at Naida, "father wished to speak to you, but you were nowhere to be found, you know he does not like you straying around when the streets are so busy, if we hurry to the temple, maybe he will not be so angered." Aaran grabbed Naida's arm pushing her forward, she let go then looked at the people they shoved through.

"what is it?" Naida asked..

[Sora]

Jared rosed a water tank with his gloved hand, sprinting as fast as he could towards the enormous line of people willing to board the majestic ship. Adventure awaited, that was a fact. A stirr of excitement spinned inside his stomach. He had sailed the seas before, but never been underwater. He had once saved a little girl from swimming too far over the shore, but that didn't count, of course. This was the real deal. And the outcome...that was going to be even better, he thought.
"Hey, kid, why the rush?", he heard from behind, as he stopped ferociously and turned quickly. He saw a big-bearded man smoking a cigarette, dressed up in a Navy suit. "The ship ain't going nowhere, yanno," he smirked.
Jared raised an eyebrow, and just dared to awkardly grin back at him. He slowed down, and started walking towards the crowd of people, trying to spot the end of the line.

"what is it?" Naida asked..

Aaran continued on, "He did not tell me, the guards just told me that we were requested at the temple, I go to your room you are not there, I think he just wants to give us the speech of our responsibilties and things such as that." Aaran had her eye sight focused on the street.

Dom got out of the car and waved to her mother, her mother stared as she walked down the dock where she saw the crowd of people, she bounced her shoulder to keep her bag up, she looked around at all the kinds of people, the men stared at her as she walked by and she looked at them ignorantly, she put her head up and shoved throught the crowd, she saw the tip of the sub, and jumped to try and see it, "This ain't no place to be princess." Dom looked at the man and her lip perked up, her eyebrow rose, and she looked at the man, she stepped on his toe and he howled in pain, she shoved throught the people running from him. "Where the heck do I board?" she strolled looking for the captain.

Mark headed out the sub, he had received permission to go buy a few things before embarking on the difficult journey that lay ahead. He passed the booth and gave an awkward look to the man taht wouldn't let him through earlier. It seemed he was about to apologize, but Mark was faster, "Don't worry about it," he sighed and kept walking by. Taking a moments breath he saw someone shoving through the crowd and arched an eyebrow. "Wheres the rush?," he questioned.

Jared once again turned. Had he been still all rushed up in that moment? He thought he had slowed down, but... maybe it was just him. He looked back at the dude who had murmured those words. He seemed to be dressed in a suitable outfit to board the ship. He stretched, trying not to push too much within the crowd of people. He dared to ask, for his own security and assurance:
"Hey, um, this is the S.S Anne, right?".

Dom pushed the little man out of the way, she was at the end of the dock, she looked around standing tall with a smirk on her face, she put a toothpick in her mouth and squinted her eyes at the ship, "You lost lady?" a little boy said tugging on her bag, "No, I'm apart of the crew little boy." she said in a low tone, she walked on forward.

He turned around and looked at the submarine starring at it for a while. He had dazed off like he usually did and when he heard a truck honk he came back to his senses. "Yes I think so, or I'm on the wrong boat there fellow. Well two people can't be wrong about the same thing, ey chap," he said yawning. "Hmmm, now where was I off to," he murmured indisicevily and when he found he could not remember where he was going he turned back to the S.S. Anne. "Well, I guess I'm going back can;t remember where I was off to." From the submarine a soft female voice echoed, "Exactly 40 minutes till departure. All crew must be inside the submarine by the deadline."

Jared scratched his head, and nodded a little, as the line of people kept advancing inside the S.S Anne. Just four more to go, he thought. And then, in that moment, that stirr of excitement he had been feeling inside him for a while now, increased greatly. Searching inside his leather bagpack, he managed to retrieve his little, square ticket from one of the inner pockets. Smirking, he turned once again into the big ship gates. Just three more to go...

[Roxas 1994]

"How the heck am I going to find away to get to Atlantis, even if it is real?" Ryan thought as he ran down the street. His black hair moved with his increasing speed. He thought of when the note he found just an hour ago and he knew he had to find out. He wouldn't rest until he acually knew what happened to his family. But the big problem was finding something that would have a chance of finding Atlantis. "It might be impossable, but I have to try." Ryan thought as he ran faster.

Dom walked over to the submarine, all the men seemed big, tall, strong, and she was just a girl, that thought had never crossed her mind before, I am just a girl, she stood before the gates, and she got onto the submarine, men bumped into her, nearly knocking her far off. She pushed the man back, "Watch it." she grunted. He snarled, she took a deep breath as he walked away. "Sheez, to think they'd be happy, YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS YA KNOW!" she hollered at him, she waved him off, and stood there alone.

"15 minutes till submarine is in motion," came the female voice once again. "Well see you on board, names Mark by the way. Don't tell anyone I told you that," and MArk headed for the submarine once away. The men looked at Mark as though he would jump them, "Hmm odd, whats wrong?" and a the little man Dom had pushed while entering mutterred, "n..n...nouthin sir." He looked at them with an awkward face and kept walking looking for his old friend Henry.

Britt walked up the dock and towards the S.S Anne..."i guess this is it." she said looking at the submarine....she continued walking towards the sub until she saw a big crowd surrounding the sub. "great this better not take long." she said as she rolled her eyes.

Ryan ran so fast that he past the S.S Anne. He looked back and saw the submarine and he had a big smile on his face. "Quess this is my ride. I'm going to need a discise." Ryan thought. He loooked around for a momment and then he had an idea. He picked up a box of supplies and he walked towards the sub. He had a straight face as he walked to the submarine. Two men looked at him with a cold look in their eyes, but finally let him through and he walked into the submarine. "I did it!" Ryan thought as he walked aound the sub with the box.

Dom walked slowly to the little man, he sniffed a couple times, "Sorry, I pushed you." She kneeled down, Dom began to crack up, "I'm sorry, I'm not laughing...at you, I'm.." the little man pushed Dom, she fell on her back, she got up still laughing, the little man wobbled away, Dom turned to Mark, "Hi, Dom." she said reaching her arm out for a shake.

Britt pushed and shoved through the crowd and finally got into the sub.."finally.." she said wiping her forehead...she then looked around.."hmm..this isn't half bad.." she said smiling and started walking again.

Dom watched as Britt walked by, she tapped her on the shoulder, "Britt?" she said unsure, she laughed, "Britt? Is that you?" she turned to Mark and smiled, then back to Britt, "I haven't seen you in like, forever! Didn't think I'd find you here."

Mark shook her hand hesotantly, he needed to solve some matters with Henry. It can wait he thought. "I'm Mark, nice to meet you. I'm guessing that why hes so worked up," Mark sighed looking at the small man that was absorbed in his chores. "Last warning, 5 minutes before departure, 5 minutes before departure," echoed the sound again. "Look at that almost time for take-off."

"Dom..hi....yea i know but when ur whole family resents you....you don't want to stay there and deal with it.." she said as she sighed.

"Yeah, my dad kicked me out just because I didn't want to work at his stupid shop anymore, so, my mom suggested I come on crew, it would make sense to have a mechanic..." she smiled, and looked around, "Looks like we're the only chicks..." she sucked her teeth and giggled, "so what do you do?"

"i am a doctor...you know me..i love to help people with their injuries.." she said as she laughed.

"Looks like nobody found out that I am not supossed to be on the sub. I hope they don't find out that there is one extra person on the submerine." Ryan thought as he put the box of supplies away and he started to explore the submerine. he wanted to know where everything was just incase he a to make "the great excape" if anyone found out that he was a stoaway.

Dom nodded her head, "Yeah, half of these guys are gonna end up killing each other anyway, so I think that's what we'll need..." Dom looked down at her pocket, she took out a piece of paper, a letter from her mom, she smiled, her mother hoped more than anything Atlantis was real, she folded it back up and placed it back in her pocket, "so you believe in Atlantis?" she asked Britt.

Mark thought she looked very familiar, but remembering who she was he passed his hand through his hair. "Now I remember..." he said without hesitating to smile. "Guess it has been a while." He looked out the submarine entrance as they were boarding the last of the supplies. "Almost time to sink, and I don't really feel like mapping," he sighed. "Anyway, howd you get on the crew?"

"yea i do..i imagine it as a beautiful place with a good view.." she said smiling.

[Roxas 1994]

Ryan searched through his jacket pocket and he took out a folded up note. He carefully undid his folding and he read over the note agian. "My mom wrote this. It says the place Atlantis like 15 times. It's my only lead so I have to take it." Ryan thought as he folded the note agian and he put the note back into his pocket.

[Darkness Falls]

"Britt... Atlantis is underwater if you havn't heard." he sighed. "Not much of a view of anything, but water really." Mark looked around and finding nowhere to sit he said, "So you've got a room yet? If you don't we can head down to mine to talk for a bit then I can escort you to Henry." and walking off he beckoned them to follow him.

"i know but still.." she said then looked back at Dom.."so Dom what room are you in?" she asked her.

Dom felt her pockets staring at Britt, she snapped and pulled her bag over to her front, she dug in and looked through the papers, she ripped it out and flipped it over right side, "room.....16b." she looked at Britt, "you?"

"the same.." she said smiling.."guess we're roomates.." she said laughing.

Capter 2: Sunken Dreams
The ship began it's drift heading further into sea. Farther and farther it traveled until it was only a speck in the distance when it finally came to a halt. According to Henry they would begin their decent at this spot. His grandfather had spent much of his life pinpointing Atlantis, but could not. He had left a few drawing of places where he thought it might be and Henry had narrowed it to here. The ship began it's decent a slow pace careful not to usher and make a mistake. Slowly the water became darker and fish became fewer and more bizzare.

Ryan loooked out a window in the submerine. He had nothing to do and no room to sleep in so he would just have to wait until he saw something. While he looked out the window he was lost in thought. "What could it all mean? Why Atlantis?" Ryan thought. He didn't understnad how his mom could be in Atlantis,if Atlantis was real, and he wasn't even sure she was there if it was real.

Dom smiled and put the paper back in her bad, she looked over to the boy staring anxious at the window, she looked at Britt then back to the boy, she looked out the small window with him, "You look lost, what are you here for?" Dom asked softly.

[Roxas 1994]

"I'm here to find the two people that are dear to me. It might be impossable, but I have to try." Ryan answered in a sad tone. He felt sad inside and he could fell a tear making its way through, but he held it back. He wanted to find his mom and brother so bad and he did not want to be empty handed.

[K H P]

Dom looked back at the people in the submarine, the boy did not look like the other men. She sucked her teeth then bit the inside of her cheek, "So...you apart of the crew?" her eyebrow rose.

[Roxas 1994]

"Uh-Oh. I can't let her know that I'm not supossed to be here." Ryan thought, but he stayed calm and he thought fast. "Yeah, I'm new to the crew." Ryan answered.

[Batosai]

Meanwhile, in Engineering, the derringer-holding figure of former 2nd Lieutenant Elwood H. Steele was taking potshots at the rats scurrying around the room. What he couldn't kill with the gun he hit with his heavy, booted feet, and went on with this until the Engineering room was clear. Several bolts had come loose over time on several of the Anne's steam transfer pipes, and Elwood was left in his seclusion, perfectly happy to repair it.

"So....why are you here?" Ryan asked Dom, he was trying to change the subject so he wouldn't get caught. If he did then he would never find out what really hapened to his mom and brother.

Dom nodded slowly, she squinted her eyes and turned, her back to the wall, she leaned on it, "I got nowhere else to go, I'm good in mechanics, I wanna see Atlantis...if it's real, so I thought, what the heck, why not go?" she smirked, and played with her toothpick.

Britt wandered around the sub.."this place is ok..i guess.." she said to herself as she looked around.

[Roxas 1994]

"I'm not really sure if Atlantis is real, but i have to ry." Ryan said with a smile oh his face. He put his hand in his pocket and he felt the note and the pain it brought to him. "It has to be real." Ryan said as he nodded his head.

Dom closed her eyes as he spoke with such passion, she saw right through him, there was something about Atlantis he wasn't telling, but she didn't really try to punch it out of him, she took a deep breath and clapped her hands, slightly rubbing them together, "So, yeah, my name is Dom, in case I forgot to tell you..." she itched the back of her head and smiled big, "What room ya got?"

[Darkness Falls]

Mark began to bore in his room. He had been mapping for quite a while so he led himself outside his room hopping for some company and almost as if he had yelled for it Henry came to his side. "Good day to you Mark!" Henry said very enthusiastically. "Yes good day to you sir," Mark responded. "Any idea where we are exactly?, since we submerged it's been some time and we are barely aware of our whereabouts," Henry asked a little bit preoccupied. "Relax I'm an expert," Mark chuckled and taking out his drawings so far he made an estimate on where they were. "I figure we're a couple hundred miles off the coast of Africa, if I'm not incorrect that is. So do you think we're close?" Mark asked Henry. "To tell you the truth we've been wandering for hours, but don't let that slip out or the whole crew will rampage." Henry pleaded Mark. "Ai, ai capting," Mark said mimicking a sailor. "Good, now how about we go to the control room, I'd like to show you something." and they were off.

[K H P]

Dom saw Mark and Henry pass through the hall down from the lobby like area of the sub, she turned to Ryan who was dazed, thinking it seemed, she crept down the hall, and turned, following Mark and Henry, not announced.

Britt continued to look around the sub. she enjoyed wandering around.

[Batosai]

In time, Brit wandered through Engineering, the myriad pipes and cramped passages throwing off all but the most diligent travellers. Elwood was at the center of this, and the sound of his socket wrench could be heard even from there.

Henry had lead him right into the control room where the captain and a few other key members of the journey where gathered. "Ladies and gentlemen, Mark Silvermoon," Henry intorduced Mark. "No need for formalities," Mark said sitting down and taking a seat. "So whats up cap?" Mark asked. The captain of the crew lifted an eyebrow at the strange remark, "Well Mr. Silvermoon as Mr. Oswald has probably explained we have been wandering for hours in the depths of the sea and we're getting impatient." "I'm listening," intervened Mark. "Well, just recently we have received a small signal, and not any signal. It seems to be coming from some sort of high tech contraption. Now we're assuming it's coming from Atlantis, but we cannot be too sure since there have been many projects that have been launched in the sea," continued the captain. "And you need me because?" questioned Mark. "We need you to examine the are around to see if you can pick up any clue on what the signal we're receiving might be," said the captain finishing his request. "Allright, now where do I start."

Aaran walked up to the palace with Naida, her father was waiting at the end of the long temple, Aaran waved for Naida to follow, she walked down the long hall slowly, guards spread across, they bowed, Aaran hated when they did this. "Father..." their Father's eyes closed, she stared dumbfounded as she continued forward, she knelt at his seat, he picked up her chin, she stood up, he looked over to Naida, they all stared, the feeling was awkward.

Dom inced around the hall, and into the room, she stood in the back and acted calm and cooly, a man looked down at her, and into her shirt, she slapped him, people turned around, she laughed nervously, she fixed her shirt, and crossed her arms listening.

"umm..what??" Naida said looking at everyone satring at her.she thought something was wrong.

Britt seen the crowd and stayed in the back and listened.

Their father leaned back, he looked to the ceiling, with paintings covering it, Aaran looked around, then followed where her father's eyes were looking, "Why were we requested father?" Her father looked at both of them again, "We have recieved some signs again." Aaran thoght for a moment, "I have told you before, it's just the passing ships..." Her father sighed, "No, not this time, perhaps, they seem far, but closer than the other ships, as far as the signal goes..." Aaran and her father bickered in the native language, a guard coughs and they both simmer down. "We need not worry, not now." Aaran said, her father nodded.

Dom smiled at Britt when she saw her enter, she looked over to Henry, waiting for him to continue on, she was confused about what they were talking about.

"i'm sure were fine father.." Naida sighed.all she really wanted to do was explore atlantis.

Britt looked around at everyone wondering what was goin on..

The captain led Mark to the navigation room where there were many contraptions. Some blinking, others emitting small noises and still others that seemed like a maze to Mark. "Here you are, now can you figure our problem out?" asked the captain. Mark came close to the glass wall observing the rocks and the little marine life that passed by. "Hmmm, no coral, no unidentified animals to my knowledge, the rock formations are not unusual and I can see no volcanic activity," murmured Mark to himself. He kept bickering on until finally he said, "Well captain there is nothing of interest to the world on the surface down here so I doubt any authorized, or unauthorized for that matter projects are going on around here. So I am guessing that whatever signal you picked up may lead us to our prize," said Mark his expression shining.Henry was almost in tears as his hopes rose, he was finally going to finish what his grandfather had begun. "Alright crew, a straight course to Atlantis!" bellowed the captain. With his duty done Mark was excused from the counsel and passed by the comity. He had other matters to attend to, like the unfinished mapping that he had promised. If they were really heading to Atlantis he would provide the map to the surface world.

Britt looked out the window.."it seems we're goin under now.." she said to herself.

Aaran held onto her crystal that emitted a dim light, she nodded her head, she turned to Naida, she walked down the long hall, she put her hands to her side as she left her father and her sister. She walked out of the temple, she climbed to the highest point of Atlantis, and when she reached it, she stared off, her father's words had began to sink in.

Dom's eyes widened, "So, it's real..." she said quietly, she let out a small laugh, she closed her eyes with her arms still crossed, "Well come on! Can't we make this hunk of junk move faster!?" She yelled, she wanted to just be there, in Atlantis.

Naida watched as her sister left then turned to her father.."whats goin on father?" she asked him with a worried look on her face.

Britt jus sat there and watched everyone move from one place to another..

Her father looked at her, he took a long deep breath and stood up, "You do not need to worry about it, neither do I, I am hoping what I sense does not become." He stroked her hair, and then walked to his quarters.

Meanwhile, Aaran had climbed down the point, she sat down at the edge of the building with her feet dangling, "Maybe, they can help us, if they do come, whoever they are..." she whispered, "Father will never approve..."

Naida didn't fully believe her father..instead she left the temple and searched for Aaran. "where could she have gone?" she said to herself..

Aaran picked up the small pebbles beside her, she dropped them from her hand, the sand fell out in a hypnotic way, she extender her arm out and watched the sand drift away with the wind, she dropped more rocks, she couldn't get these things out of her mind.

Chapter 3: A warm welcome, from Atlantis
The S.S. Anne seemed to feel the anxiousness of it's passengers as it edged on to it's goal. It sped through the navy blue sea like a lost pup that has found it's mother. The crew waited patiently and every soul on board could not sleep as a whole new world would be revealed to them. Some of the mechanics took the liberty to prepare the exiting of the great submarine and they headed to the loading chambers.

There it was, and the lights of the submarine seemed to awe as the light grew stronger over there one goal. There was an underwater cave and signal they had picked up earlier grew louder and louder as if it called the ship. Now slowing down as a child would do when approaching something curious.

There was a sudden suspense and the ship was rammed by one side. Not by an animal, but a rock that seemed to have shifted position almost unnaturally. The bottom of the ocean cracked and magma spewed out cooling in contact with the water as it created a spike that headed to the bottom of the ship. The space seemed to have shrunk since there arrival and the whole ship was thrown into mayhem. There was no way out the pitfall trap and what made it worse was a new arrival. A giant creature had appeared and you could hear the wise words of the old man that new the tale of Atlantis all too well whisper. "The leviathan..." The animal twisted and turned it's eyes emitting a glowing red light that sent a crawling chill up the people who witnessed it. Not long after this the creature rammed into the S.S. Anne. It was intent on destroying it, sending it to a grim end.

"RED ALERT, RED ALERT, RED ALERT," came the female voice once again. This time it seemed scared. "ALL CREW EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY, PACK LIGHT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL, I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL," it agonized again. Mark feared this moment, he knew one of his adventures would bring him his doom. "Not now... Not now... I cannot die!," Mark hollered as he ran through the crowds.

[K H P]

Aaran's crystal lit up, she looked down at it almost the instant it began to glow, she looked out, wondering, could it be possible, were people discovering Atlantis?

The ship turned up side down, Dom looked down to her feet as they slowly lifted off the ground, the ceiling was the floor, and the floor the ceiling. She crashed at the top hitting her back, she screamed, men were in panic, shoving each other, she grabbed onto different grabable parts of the top and made her way for the evacuation ships, people were in the way, she climbed with ease, the ship turned again, spinning constantly. Dom let go and grabed her ears when they popped, it was hard for her to breath, her lungs felt crushed, she was drained, she kicked through where she saw space to make it to the safety ship, she hopped in, she was about to close the door when she saw Britt being pushed around, "Come on!!" she hollered out, Britt shoved through and fell in the ship, Dom closed the latch and detatched from the ship, she pulled up, trying to get to a non life threatening point. She let go when the small ship was still, Britt got up and fastened herself in, "Wow." Dom said, it was all she could say.

Naida felt something wasn't right and she started to panic a little.."Aaran where are you?!" she yelled in panic and she franctically looked around for her sister.

Britt stood up.."oww my head.." she said holding her head.."Dom you ok??" she asked.

Henry hit the ceiling hard and fell unconcious on the hard ground. Mark had already packed what he needed and heading for the safety ships he stopped when he caught eye of his old friend, the heart of this mission. He supported him on his shoulder and half walked half staggered to the safety ships. A lot of men lay dead on the ship. They would stay here, in this shipwrecked grave and fearing the same fate as he saw all the safety ships had latched out he began to panic. There was no way out, but he saw a ray of light. That light was his hope, he had found what had seemed to be an abandoned safety ship. Whatever the reason for that was he would find out later and shoving his friend in he sat down closing the latch and kicking the ship into motion.

Aaran heard her sister cry out, Aaran grasped the side of the cliff and dug her feet into them, she slid down the short cliff and landed in front of her sister, "Father felt something, he felt right, the Guardian crossed paths with something, they are close. They are coming Naida!" Aaran explained horribly.

Dom was breathing awkwardly, "It was just the pressure, crushing my lungs, they were about to collapse..." she grabbed her chest, she shook her head, "Do you see any other ships out there?" she said looking around through the large window, "I hope Mark and Henry are alright...otherwise, we'll be dead, I dunno where to go..."

Naida was frightened.."who's coming??" she said as she paniced..

Britt put her hand on Dom's shoulder.."jus calm down Dom..i'm sure everyone is ok.." she said.."are you injured or anything??" she asked.

Now the escaping the S.S. Anne was not the only problem. The leviathan was still at large and as it swam through the sea it made a strong current of water that played around with the small ships. Twisting and turning, Mark fought hard with the controls of the ship trying to drive it to the cave. Mark looked back upon the sinking submarine, he looked back at the poor souls crushed by the leviathans wrath. He whispered a prayer, so that they may all get to safety. The ship twirled to the cave as Mark struggled to keep calm and finally reaching the cave entrance he slowed down. The ship stopped at the bottom of the cave, it was underwater... and the only way out was to swim. Mark kicked at the door. It was hard to open it and when he wedged it a little water came spewing in. Henry was on Marks back right away as he was carried. Finally the door opened and swimming up he feared not what lay ahead of him, but what would lay behind if he did not reach his safety.

Aaran looked passed Naida and to the far other side of Atlantis, across the bridge, she grabbed her arm and ran, taking her, she wanted to get to them before they got here, before they were killed.

Dom stopped the ship when they reached surface, she looked around, she looked at Britt worried, "We can't be the only survivors..."

Naida followed Aran.."i'm scared.." she said..

Ryan ran through the sinking hallways of the submerine. Huge splashes of water foloowed right behind him. "There's only one thing left to do." Ryan thought as he saw the end of the hallway window. He ran by and picked up a piece of fallen matel and he quickly burst open the window. Water gushed out as Ryan tried to fight to current and make it out of the submerine. When his whole body was free he looked around the underwater cave he was in, ting to find a place where he could get some air. "It can't let it end here." Ryan thought as he swam around through the caves. Ryan cold feel his body feeling numb from lack of oxygen.
"No." Ryan thought, his body stopped moving, but he was still alive. His body wasn't moving, but his will kept him alive. "I got to keep moving." Ryan thought as he paddled his arms and legs, swiming around for a spot that had air.

[Batosai]

Engineering was overwhelmed with water the instant the Anne was swamped. Being the only mechanic, Elwood was beaten mercilessly against the myriad pipes in the central room. As the corridor flooded, Elwood managed to get into the crawlspace between the pipes and the deck above. The water was rising quickly. Elwood produced a heavy wrench from his toolbelt and pointed the prongs towards the upper deck, rolled on his back and heaved. The wrench smashed through the relatively light metal, creating a fracture around the dent where he had impacted. Water sprayed through the crack, soaking his face. That could only mean one thing- the upper decks were already flooded.

Holding his breath, Elwood put his heavy wrench through the upper floor and water smashed into his face. He repeatedly smashed holes into the upper deck flooring until he climbed through into the flooded hallway above. Knowing the Anne from stem to stern, Elwood turned to his right and made speed towards the bow, where a few windows were around the crew quarters, and if he recalled properly, Britt's room had a large enough window to slip through. First, however, he needed to find survivors.

After a while of swimming, taking breath where-ever he could, he found no-one. he continued through to the window in Britt's room.

"Come on, buddy, through the door..." He thought, pulling himself through the door into Britt's quarters. The window, large enough for one person, was intact. Elwood crossed himself and pulled himself towards the window, and put all of his force behind a swing of the wrench.

Ryan was fading fast as he knew he would have to do something, it was lucky his will kept him this long but that was also fading. Ryab looked around the cave to see if there was any light, and there was, in the north direction andf couple feet away. He used all of his strength and breath and pushed himself out of the cave. He swam up and reached the surface. He cuaghed up water and then he took a deep breath. "I'm good." Ryan said as he looked around and he noticed Dom's ship a few feet way. "Over here!" Ryan shouted as he waved into the direction of the ship.

Mark stood up from the rocky floor, he had barely made it and he began to cough up the water that had been so keen to drown him. He had taken out some matches he brought along with him, but now.. they were damp so there was no way to dry his clothes. Ge discarted him and turned his head to the side driooubg the water that had found it's way into his ears.
