Here is what Nomura stated on this subject in the interview!

Interviewer: Are there new enemies you can confirm that are not shown in the screens?

Nomura: The new enemy is not a Heartless, or a Nobody, because the story takes place before even they appear. I can only give out more information, little by little, as time passes: an example being like the Shadow enemies that are heartless, and the Dusk enemies that are nobodies.


Sooo..I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some new enemies...but the question is...what??

If you look real close on this picture, you will see this Heartless-looking creature, but instead of the usual glowing yellow eyes, they're red instead. They look familiar though, but something interesting is the mist. It seems to be radiating off them... Maybe it's just Terra's attack, but I don't know. Shadow > Dusk > ?

"Pure" darkness; hmm, good idea. Maybe that is what happened before the process of Heartless and Nobody came about. The embodiment turns into pure darkness... so that would explain the red eyes. lol j/k. Yeah, there's a thread in one of these sections with all the confirmed worlds. Cinderella is going to be the best one to visit. :D I wonder what the name is of these new type of enemy. I hope it isn't the obvious "soul-less" or whatever people have been guessing.

As we all know there are not gonna be any nobodies or heartless since this game
is in the past and non of these are there yet.....

They look a lot like Neo Shadow heartless don't they....?

What are these new monsters and where did they come from, we do not know!
But judging from their appearance and the FM secret ending i made a theory..
I think these new monsters came from inside Kingdom Hearts,
The old man seems to be the bad guy and he seems to be able to summon
Kingdom Hearts with ease, so like heartless he just uses the darkness in
Kingdom Hearts and get these guys...

IIRC, there couldn't be any "Soulless" because if the soul is missing in one of the three components (Heart, Body and Soul), the being ceases to exist (see Ansem Reports), even the Heartless and Nobodies had a soul. It would be more probable that these new enemies being a "combination of Heartless and Nobody" than a "Soulless".

Well what if they are like that weird guy that looked heartless and nobody with Riku's dark clothing. He was seen with the old man in the secret ending of KH2:FM. I think that maybe this old guy can summon these weak versions (like shadows or dusks) and strong versions (like Twilight and Dark thorns) of these heartless/nobody hybrids.

U cannot base a fact but what some eqaution in the reports say. It does not state u need a soul for a nobody. It has always been those 3 elements, a nobody can live without a soul, although im not sure what exactly is the soul suppose to have or what its for really in the world of KH. I mean it says it gives it veseel way to death, but how can we be sure what it really means? It could be interperted as when a person is living and when the soul lives that person dies. However what if the heart leaves first, and then the soul is left afterwards or at the time the body becomes a nobody. Since it does not state that a "nobody" cant live without a soul.

It's not stupid. It isnt even something for people to figure out. The same logic, may not apply to nobodies, it does not say so, so u cannot assume they have souls or not. Nobies are also not supposed to exist either yet they do. Nobodies are only just the shell of a person, in which there only just their bodies.

i am using my head, and i also am understanding , that nowhere does it say it applies to everything. It is not there in sccripture. Nobodies are just the bodies, however it is different from a normal human body, just like heartless, they have bodies that are not the same.

We've never cut gaping holes in a Nobody. We've cut holes in a couple of different Heartless (Darkside comes to mind), and always it's just a Heart that comes out. Nobodies must have normal Bodies, because even you say that they get the leftover Body when the Heart leaves.

yes, but they arent the same as they were, Especially when u take into account the non human form nobodies. Essentially they are no diffferent only stronger and smarter than the lesser nobodies. The nobodies dont havw to have big gaping holes, like the darkside or the invisibles, but you do seem them fading away, you the black essence.
