KH Movie?

Yo. I'm new and have no idea if this has been posted yet but..... just wondering what does everyone think the chances are that they movies out of both games?? I know even if they did it'll probably be years away but just wanted to see what people think about this....thanks

That would be so awesome if Square Enix would create a movie about the KH series. Except, without as much of the story having to do about friendship and like romance more and alot more action. That would be the envy of all the fans.

In order to make a movie, that would mean no Disney Worlds. Simply because Disney would never allow a movie in which appear 25% of the Disney Characters, and specially, connected to some sort of sci-fi violence. However, they could perfectly make a KH movie in Hollow Bastion and Twilight Town, with badass sci-fi fight (like Advent Children) and a good plot (unlike Advent Children).

Yeah, we have to agree on that subject. Specially now, with Nomura being so busy with Final Fantasy Versus XIII and KH2: Final Mix+. And not counting the possibility of KH3, after FFvsXIII is completed.

They did the same for Final Fantasy X. They released a DVD with the cutscenes of the game, along with some gameplay clips. I think it was more than 5 hours of movies. Boring...

Yeah, the chances of a movie being made are slim. Plus it would be the hardest movie ever to make, and even harder to sell.

Halo has a good setting to make a movie. Kingdom Hearts not as much.

If they ever made a movie for Kingdom Hearts it would more then likly be done maybe like Advent Children.

there is so much roll-playing that you just couldnt base it off the game.

It doesnt have to point in KH3 direction or any of the KH storyline directions. I mean it could be the same cast and what not, but a whole new enemy and plot.

On the other forum, we were talking about what a KH movie would look like if it were a live action movie, and there's no doubt about it that it would be VERY weird. ;) It could work computer generated graphics though, it's just that I don't know anyone who would want to go and see a Kingdom Hearts movie.

I think that it really depends on the effort the creators put into them. If they want to make a good movie that goes to the big screen, they will. But maybe they just wanna make a movie .. just because, and don't put enough effort so ratings get low, and I think that that'll make it go straight to DVD instead. Just my opinion

I said 2013 because based on the amount of projects going on, then they probably wouldn't be able to have created a successful film until around then after Kingdom Hearts III was created. They've mentioned that they're working on non-game project at the moment, but personally I find it hard to believe it's a movie.

making a kingdom hearts movie would just be to hard, to make it more mature and have a good storyline, youd need to get rid of disney worlds, and if you did that , there would be no story so a kingdom hearts movie isnt impossible, just reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard to make.

Well I agree with you when you say that the possibility of a film is highly unlikely, but when you look at the teams they have working on FFXIII, the sheer numbers of the involved could make it possible. Like for instance we all know that the kH team is working on FFXIII as well as the whole AC team, and a lot of people from X-2. I mean a looot of ppl.(they would need a lot to make two....sorry three games at once) And what are all these ppl to do when FFXIII is finished, eh? I don't know....the odds are rising I think...

I hope theyll make a movie. If they ever did it would most likely be like ff7 advent children. They should make it like a regular movie with real actors. They should also make ff movies to have it all explained better. Hell since i wanna be some sort of a director when i grow up (or sports) id make a movie on kingdom hearts and ff. Multiple Projects were anounced for 2007, one at least not being a video game. Nomura said both Disney and Square has made contributions to it. My guess is a movie. I'd love that, or an anime perhaps.

On the contrary, if Disney were to make the movie (which they won't anytime soon, not until Rapunzel and the Frog Princess are released) it would, in fact, be in 2D; since Mike Eisner got booted and Pixar was bought out *coughtookoverdisney* they re-opened all their 2D studios and Rapunzel will be their last in 3D. This makes me incredibly happy :D

I would love an anime series. Disney would have to move on to better graphics to really make this work. Have you seen the pictures in the manga??? Awful. They would barely even resemble the characters in the game we love so much. Look at other manga, example: DearS or Fruits Basket. You can hardly tell the difference between the manga and the anime series characters. This is what they need to do if they are going to do this right. -Sarahphina;)

About what Nikki said, about the graphics... If you play KH, you can notice that the secret ending 'Another side, another story' featuring Roxas had somehow better graphics than the intro and ending of the game. Same happened with KH2 :) So I still think it will be a game.

I look at is as any other anime. Most anime series go 24 episodes. And the thing with voice characters, is that they are hired for the whole anime series, very rarely do they change the voice characters mid anime. So I think it is the way to go. Pfft. After the success of AC? They'll most certainly go ahead and make a Kingdom Hearts movie. Not nessisarially related therein to our young aspiring teenage heros and said heroine but nonetheless no doubt the brilliant writers of the KH plot could fathom some kind of alternate history and make a movie from it. Perhaps play a role into mayhaps KH3? Or Four for that matter. Looking at this developement I can only imagine it'll sprawl itself into it's own gaming empire like Final Fantasy has.

i wouldn't be so sure about a movie just yet.. i mean, i'd love to see one, but square enix has a bunch of crap to focus on right now.. they can't wait to get some of their stuff out for the ps3

What if there was a KH movie with alternate characters. You know, like the previous Keyblade wielders. It could show how a keyblade weilder destoryed the world, or how one saved the world. And because it would be set in the past, Disney characters might be able to be avoided. But more likely (in my opinion) it would be kinda like OVAs (like ANIMATRIX for the Matrix trilogy). Sorry if this idea has been posted before.

Oh I hope it isn't a board game because I never ever play them. I don't know anybody that still DOES, since it's all changed to DVD. Though, I don't play the DVD game things either. And if KH toys came out, I wouldn't buy them lol.

i definatley think that if square to make a honest to god movie about all of the events that have taken place in the 4 games that have been released so far it would be phenomonal. absolutely breathtaking. I mean think about it. you have sora donald and goofy fighting heartless in numerous disney backgrounds. plus you would have amazing gummi ship scenes as you just sealed ??? wourld and are flying to the next world. Overall square should totally do it. and im hoping someday it will come true
