Favourite Final Fantasy Game

Before all of you say "Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross aren't Final Fantasies", they were part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles.

I'll regret it but I'm making this poll multiple-choice. What're your favourite Final Fantasy games?

the death of aeris, cloud getting sick after giving sephiroth the black materia (yes, that upset me too), Its a very emtional game.

I was really into final fantasy ten. i liked it alot, even though i wasn't even halfway through it. then i made the mistake of letting my bf borrow it. we broke up and i never got it back. :( (and yes i am a girl, btw)

I am debating between 9 and 10 but I think over all I will go with 9. Its graphics may have not matched 10's but I just like the varity of different classes you could fight as.

Final Fantasy X was a good game but i just dont think it had the same feel as 7 or 8. I cant choose 7 over 8 or 8 over 7 since the story's really get you thinking (final fantasy 7 makes you think A LOT!! i only recently found out you dont fight sephiroth at all , you fight his mental projections an the last fight was actually the will of cloud and the will of sephiroth , not there physical bodys. I know a lot about the game XD) OK ill agre with final fantasy 7 then :)

mine have to be FFVII and FFX, i played FFVIII also but it was ok to me but not overwhelming like FFVII to tell you the truth, i can hardly remember FVIII's storyline and scenes,battles,etc.:( i might have ta play it again, but it WAS a good game though. i also started playin' FFIX but i didnt finish, it was good so far, that wouldve been in my top too.

I voted too early... My mind has changed, and now my favourite is FF12. I'm not even that far yet, but I truly think that this game is one of the best I've ever played. Maybe I love it because it reminds me of FF9, but either way, FF12 is slightly edging ahead of FF9. Yeah. I must admit that it took me a while to adjust to the new battle system. It wasn't even hard, but I don't know what happened to me. I just couldn't grasp it. But now, it's kind of easy when I got the hang of it.

of course you do, turn based is just outdated, i can understand maybe likeing it more, but there is a limit that they have reached, to get any better combat, it would probably get so complex and hard to do, you might have to memorize long strings of the different orders of things, or different things would happen if you did stuff in dif orders, and you can have turn based, where you can flip around behind them and slash on the way dow, just to dodge to they're side as they turn around in the other directon and stab them through the side, but it gets very complex, and hard on the brain to do this for long strings of attacking, and not to mention all the overlay code, and complexities of playing, to make the difference betweena jump kick and a kick, in simple terms, for every place/position in time a space you could get into in a fight, and where the enemy is + combo's, its just no worth it, its simpler on the programmers just to let you fight free form, and most ppl like it more, (not all) so all the new games just arent going to be turnbased if they want to cut it in todays demanding gamers, we wont stand for slash, slash, thunder, as three seperate things on the boring scale of 1 out of 10000000000 anymore, its just not gonna happen, the only reason turn based came about was using dice, real time battles are hard, and in the programming of good quality fights, it was easier, but it just aint so anymore, real time is simpler, easier, and largely considered at least as fun. turn based gameing is dying away.

Well, seeing as Ive only played X, X2, and XII i guess that leaves me with little choice on which is my favorite. Since Ive never beaten X2 or XII I'll have to go with X as beign my favorite. I would really like to play VII, seeing as how it is the most popular.

But as much as I like FF7 (Tifa, Yuffie, Cait Sith, Barret, Cid, Reeve, Reno, Rude, Vincent, and a definite Loz ROCK!!!!!!) I vote for FF10 and 10-2. I never got to finish 10 cuz my sister likes the hobby of stepping on discs (I'm just glad it didn't snap in half) but I got far enuff to luv it. And 10-2......rocks. I can't help it, I really relate to Rikku (she's like my twin sister) And if you see the secret endnig (the happy in Besaid one) it makes it sound as though the whole game was a flashback of what she did to get to Tidus.........cool stuffs. So yeah, FF10-2 is cool. And I know I sound lame.

X didn't have too many side quests though. VII has so many, I don't think anyone has compleated 100% of the game. I'm sure there has been, but very few.

Techinically the originals are the classics. When i say orginals i mean the first of the series.

Final Fantasy IX
-I felt that IX had a great story line, I loved all the members-battle system was awesome as well, and the graphics were stunning for the time as well..The music also played a great role in it for me as well...

FFVII and FFX came in a close 2nd as well...FFVII had a good storyline as well, but I don't think it was the best...and FFX at first annoyed me but as I continued through the game I came to love it more and more, and therefore it maked my Top Three-
1. Final Fantasy IX
2. Final Fantasy VII
3. Final Fantasy X
