Long ago, in a time when the world seemed to be on the brink of destruction. A war was raged between to dominant kingdoms. Each one had a mysterious and powerful force, which they only unleashed when it was absolutely dire. Unfortunately, that day was today. The war was fueled by half truths and conspiracies, and after awhile both of the kingdoms endurance ran out.
King Bernard ruled the West kingdom, while King Saul ruled the east. These two where strong allies until that dark day. When King Bernard’s son, Dominic, was found murdered, along with one peice of evidence - a dagger-only found within the east palace walls pointed to the east kingdom being at fault. Furious and brokenhearted for his loss, Bernard believed Saul was attempting to overthrow his kingdom .He immediately cut all ties to the east once he was informed of the origin of the evidence and began scheming his revenge. Once word got out in the kingdoms that Saul was suspected of murder, and that Bernard was going mad with paranoia. He he had no choice but to prepare his kingdom incase of an attack, which gave Bernard another reason to resent him even more. Saul tried to clear his name on numerous occasions but Bernard refused to budge, his mind was made up and the fact that there wasn’t enough accurate evidence to support his decision didn’t seem to change his mind.
A year later, when a squadron of King Saul’s knights were on there usual patrol on the outskirts of his kingdom. Bernard made the first move and sent a small army to attack the first soldiers they come in contact with, and destroy them. Saul came with a brutal comeback destroying the knights who murdered the squadron,sparking the most destructive war in history. After a week of relentless destruction nothing was left of the two kingdoms except for ruin's, and a scarce amount of survivors. Centuries pass, and this history was slowly becoming forgotten. People tell this story only as a fairytale. But others believe it as accurate history after finding historic remains, remnants of books, and ancient letters supporting it as true. These people spend their lives searching for the two legendary powers that almost destroyed the world; in hopes of finding a better use for them than destruction. Also for the reason that if some one find's it and use's it for there own intentions. Now its a race for power, for whoever finds the powers first, will be the most powerful being alive. There’s no description on what form these power’s come in, they would have to go into a lost history to find out.
In Crosway, a quaint little town settled in the mountain ranges of the east. Natalia was traversing through only to find she may be staying here a little longer than she expected.[/COLOR]

Weapons:Two Pistols with electric and poisoned-saw bullets, and energy gauntlets
History:Born into a broken family, Natalya was raised by her mother and as an only child. Her mother was a renowned researcher of the powers, and strived to be the most exceptional, and the most informed. When Natalya was young, she would tell the stories of the powers and interest her with stories of her journeys to the ruins of the east and the west's castle’s, and of its treasures. She would also, tell humorous stories of how she’d fought thieves with her colleagues and of the troubles they had along the way. Natalya admired her, wanted to be like her, they were also really close. When Natalya was thirteen, she enjoyed working along side her mother, studying about what was found about the power’s, and the possibilities of where they may be hidden, or what they were like.
Being thirteen, in her opinion, was the most important time of her life. She was about to embark on journeys she has dreamed of. She had finally reached the age she could join her mother on her trips. However, tragedy struck before she could go on those wonderful trips. A mysterious illness inflicted her mother, and there was no cure for it at the time. She passed away two days later. Lost and alone, Natalya ran away from her home and tried to begin her own life. She took her mothers research along with her and fled from the area. There was something ominous about the way her mother died; something didn’t feel right and for some reason she feared staying there. For the next couple of years, she lived as a runaway.
Five years later she joined another research team, unrelated to her mothers, and took the role as treasure hunter instead of researcher. Sitting at a desk didn’t seem as much fun to her anymore. However, she still wanted to be informed. Now back into her old profession she’ll strive to find the powers, and fulfill her mothers dream, as well as her own.

History: After being abandoned at the age of 10 Mark survived by stealing food from the nearest villages. One day after breaking in to the palace treasury he accidentally tripped over a misplaced pile of wood while running from the palace security. He was caught and taken before the king who had sent an order of silent execution. A kind priest who was coming from a ritual had overheard the king and pleaded him spare the boy in the name of God. The priest took the small child i who he saw was an orphan. He raised the boy in accordance to God's word. Though Mark's ambition was not to begun a priest, his real ambition was to rid the world, of a greater evil. The priest who made frequent visits to the castle would take Mark along and Mark would study the knights in training. After 6 years the Priest had let Mark to pursue his real dream, he had handed him a Bible which he held closely. He then became a bounty hunter, known to hunt the vilest criminals, to the most dangerous creatures and even otherworldly beings.

After buying some new weaponry and potions, Natalya was eager to leave and head to the next town on her mind, Bersheba, where she might be able to find more information about the powers. The morning air was crisp and inviting, and the town’s people were getting started with their day. Most of them worked in shops consisting of an endless verity of weaponry, potions, magic’s and even armor. This was a great place to stock up. Sitting down at the edge of a fountain in the towns square, Natalya ate a small breakfast while reading a letter that was sent to her last night by a messenger Falcon one of her colleagues owned...But not literally for the purpose. With her traveling all over the place, she guessed that was the reason it came down to that. “ Apparently this was too big to text.” She said to herself. The information she received was worrisome.
“Natalya, I hope you get this as soon as possible, there’s been a threat issued out by an unknown group saying they’ll annihilate anyone searching for the power’s. Apparently, their looking for it as well. They attacked us a few days ago, don’t worry only two men in our team where inflicted with minor injures. Thank God we knew something about combat! Otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to sick’em as bad as we did. The members we encountered were not much of a hassle; there were only five of them- thuggish brutes. One of them left me with an impression that there might be stronger members; I’m not sure how many but keep an eye out. We’ve prepared incase of another attack. So don’t worry too much about us. And if you thought sending a falcon was old fashion… let me just tell you, that you need to get in an area where people can get a connection to your dang phone! I called FIVE TIMES and still can’t get a connection! Where the heck are you anyway!? Are you even alive!?

Amused by the letter Natalya took out her cell-phone and turned it back on for the first time since last week and texted him back.
While thinking of what to write she was startled when a large, red rubber ball shot right past her head. “Sorry Miss!” A boy cried as he raced past her after the ball. He's friends looked on impatiantly as they waited for him to return. Natalya looked crossly at him with an irritated look.”Sure, no prob. “After texting, she felt she was being watched and did a quick 180 scan of the area. Seeing nothing unusual, she decided to head to a different location in town to try to escape this ominous feeling.As she walked she peered into alleyways and at the people ahead of her , looking for any abnormal actions that my give a person with ill-intention's away. She gripped the handle of one of her new pistols hoping she wouldn’t have to use it so soon. She dislike using weapon's she hasn’t tested yet. With her white cloak disguising her intent, she played casual, tying not to draw attention to herself.

Eh, what the hay, this seems like it could be a bit of fun.
Name: Zaran Kunick

Occupation: Thief
History: Zaran was born an orphan, since his mother died right after his birth with only enough time to name him. The orphanage he grew up in was very strict and never had very great food, so in the middle of the night he would sneak out and steal bread from the local bakery. As he grew his theiving skills improved, untill he became one of the most well known theives around. Despite his bad childhood he has actually become more of a benevolent thief, stealing from the rich for his own personal gain, and occasionaly giving some of his "earnings" to the poor. He currently has a bounty of 500,000. He has two weapons, Bow and arrow for long distance, and dagger for close combat, which he prefers to stay away from.

By the time Natalya reached the edge of town, the irritating feeling of being followed had finally vanished. After a quick look around and seeing that she was alone, she took her pistols out and decided to do some target practice while she had a chance. She picked out a large oak that was a good distance away for her target. Once she fired, the tip of the gun let off a big bright spark of electricity, making her yelp and jump back. It didnt hurt her, it just suprised her. She didn’t know if that was suppose to happen or not, she winced as she pulled the trigger of the same pistol again . Same result.”Okay?” While replacing the bullets with another type, she fired them and got a different result, no electricity this time. Something was strange about this bullet though, it had tiny saw like blades on four sides. Beside the jagged blades were tiny,barley noticeable holes that released a toxic poison once fired. The others she electric one's were activated the same way, but with a different result. She loaded one of the pistols with the poison bullets and the other with the electric one’s, and tested them out a little more.

Zaran shifts his body into a more comfortable postion amongs the leaves in the tree he is hiding in. He moves a branch aside to get a better view of Natalya, but just slightly enough to not be seen.
To himself, "Hmm, this girl has to be loaded. I saw here leave that shop with a ton of potions and some weapons. I could tell by the way she was walking that she could sense my pressense. Im lucky she didnt spot me on the way here. And all that stuff. Anyone that can afford all that must have some serious gold on their hands. It would be a sinch to get the gold off of her if she didnt have those odd pistols. My arrows really dont stand a chance against them. I just have to wait of the precise moment to make my move."
Natalya took the electric pistol and shot over her shoulder in the direction of the tree where Zaran is." Who's there?!"

The electric bullet flys right by Zaran's head. His hair stands on end due to the static electicity, as he jumps down out of the tree.
"How did you know I was there? I guess you are a bit smarter than I thought. But anyway, hand over that nice sack of gold you go dangling on your belt before I have to take it by force."
Zaran takes out his bow and arrow.
To himself, "This isnt going to be easy. This girl isnt your ordinary gunslinger. Ill have to use all of my cunning abilites to outwit her. And why wont my hair go down, damn static electicity."
Natalya raised a brow and her pistol at the stranger saying "Lucky guess, and squirrels aren’t that big. And if you want my gold your going to have to use more than a toothpick to get it."
"Whats up with his hair?"

"Hehehe, dont underestimate my arrows girly. They were made by a very experienced mage, and have some unique powers."
Zaran takes an arrow out and draws his bow.
"Minteth natio rem ni hai soreth!"
The arrow suddely bursts into black flames, but Zaran is not affected by the strange fire.
"Say goodnight girly, this will take only one shot."
Zaran leaps into the air and shots the flaming arrow straight at Natalya.
Natalya's expresstion turned serious and she quickly darts into the dense foliage evading an accurate attack from the flaming arrow,and leaps out at a different location at Zaran and fire’s her electric bullets.

Zaran dodges the shot and loads another arrow.

He then shoots toward Natalya, but his arrow misses by a good foot and a half.
Realizing this guy was no amateur she took cover behind the oak tree she was firing at earlier.”Hey, your pretty good!” She yelled as she quickly reloaded her pistol.

Zaran draws another black flamed arrow and shots at the tree, causing it to go up in flames.
Naytalya jumpes out of the way to avoid a possible following arrow and begins running and shooting as she spoke".I’m a treasure hunter as well as a part time researcher. I’ve been trained to defend myself against brutes such as you so I can travel alone. How about you, who taught you to shoot like that?”

Zaran runs and doges the bullets. "I taught myself. My mother died when I was born. I had to live in some god forsaken orphanage most of my life. I had tried archery once and I seemed to have a knack for it. Ive been honing my skillz ever since then. And what is this treasure you speak of. It cant possibly be the one in the legends?"
"Duh!" Yelled Natalya as she ran for cover."Sound's like you and me have somthing in common. I had a crapy childhood myself, father abandoned me and my mother before I was born; then she died of an illness they did'nt have a cure for at the time.Since then I've lived on my own for most of my teenaged life, and now here I am!"

Zaran takes cover in a nearby tree. "But I thought the treasure was just a myth. A fairytale of sorts. How can you prove that it exists? And our pasts are similar, except my father is dead. For all I know I have now living family." Zaran loads another arrow onto his bow. "So you say that his arm is artificial

"I'd preferr not to have a family than to know the only family I had was out there abandoned me. As for the treasure...a team I work along with stumbled upon some significant evidince that the stories may contain more truth than we realized. " Natalya rested her back aganst the tree ,anticpating his attack.
"This is the weirdest fight I've ever been in, still its kinda interesting."

Zaran lowers his bow. "I hear the legends say that the treasure is in the land where that great war took place years ago. It is said that land is plagued by some powerful creatures. You cant possibly be going there on your own. It would be pure suicide."
Natalya lowered her gun but kept alert "That’s why I got the guns." She joked." Nah,As you said, it would be pure suicide to go, so that’s why I've ended up going alone. No one's been willing to join me. The main reason I’m going is because other people are looking for the powers as well, and if the powers truly exist and people who dont know the true effects get their hands on it, could be bad. Maybe even catastrophic. I’ve heard reports of people attacking or murdering other hunters to lower the competition. But I’m not backing down that easily."

"What if I were to join you? Would there be any profit in it for me? I cant let such a young and, well, beutiful girl go into that place alone." Zaran feels slightly embarased.
"Really? You'd really want to go dispite the fact you even think its suicidal?" Natalya came out of hidding, looking suprised. Suddenly , a long , large bulky chain with a large iron spiked ball swung over them tearing up and sending chunks of splinters and leaves in the air.Not knowing what was happening Natalya sceamed and ducked trying to avoid the debrie,once it was over she looked a distance behind her, seeing a gaint of a man twirling his weapon in the air, giving them a crazed grin.
"Time to die, hunter's..."

"What the hell."
Zaran jumps our of the tree right before it explodes into splinters. He lands a few feet away from Natalya.
"This a friend of yours? Well, no mater. He tried to kill me. Now I'm gonna kill him."
Zaran draws an arrow.
"Minteth natio rem ni hai soreth!"
Once again the arrow bursts into black flames.
"Now feel the wrath of my cursed fire."
He shoots at the towering man, and scores a direct hit, yet the arrow simply bounces off, leaving a small burn on the man.
"Wha-what kind of sorcery is this?"
“What on earth makes you think that he’s acquainted to me!? DO I give that kind of impression?!”Natalya yelled.
She tired her electric bullets on the charging man, they hit him accurately but didn’t affect him. Panicking, she used the poisoned ones as she jumped out of the way of the oncoming spiked, iron ball. She narrowed her eyes, focusing, looking for any weak point’s .As the man tried to strike Zaran, he unknowingly revealed his weakness, as he swung ,the gust of wind created from his weapon violently recoiled sending some of the debris at him. One of the splinters ripped a gash out of his leather jacket revealing that his shoulder was artificial.
”Hey!” She yelled to Zaran as she ran over to him.”His arm is fake if we can get close enough to him and take it out we might have an advantage. Although, it’s seem's like he’s using and immunity spell, which will probably wear off in about 20 seconds.I think that we can hang on that long.However, once we succeed with the first step,I noticed on his free hand he has iron knuckles and may be a heck of a fighter. Still, it would really undermine him if we take out that fake arm of his. Ya with me?” The man struck the ground creating a sonic shock , throwing them a distance away."Oh, and there is a profit for you if you dicide to join me,I'll explain what it is once we finish this guy off." She struggled to say after she had the breath knocked out of her.

The store doors opened, a breezy cool wind entered the establishment as the doors closed and halted. A cloaked figure had stepped out, tall and slender. He had finished restocking on supplies, they had run dry since he had passed through the ozmone plane full of treachorous beasts of all shapes and sizes. The bag of supplies was tied tightly beneath the robe. Theives ran a mockery through the town lately, as much as they were perseccuted and killed, no one can eliminate evil thouroughly, oh so the world was made to believe.
The man behind the hood was known solely as the "Lone Wolf".. Both a mark hunter and a bounty hunter he worked alone, like a wolf banished from it's pack. He walked through the town, news had reached his ears that a treasure hunter was spotted near Besherba. What truly alarmed the man was the recent turn of treasure hunters on others. Though he did not know the reason for the turn on each other, the cause was definetly tied to the evil in the world. His next mark was the treasure hunter, broad they said he was tall as the woodland trees themselves.
While these thoughts ran through his mind he was already winding out of the city gates, the guard nodded to him as he left. Not too long ago had the hunter, hunted a mark for the man. Now the only problem was there was no way to decide where his bounty lay.

“Who the heck are you man!? What grudge do you have against me?! ” Natalya dogged and maneuvered her way around the spiked weapon, trying to get close enough to this man to damage or amputate his artificial arm. “The name’s Jim, and obviously I’ve been ordered to kill you, and collect all the information you have about the powers. Also, for the cash I'm gonna get on the side!"
"It's always about my freaking money!!!!! Before I know it, this guy is gonna want to work for me too!...If I live long enough!!!!"
He raised his weapon and swung it at Natalya once more.” Stay still and maybe I will get a clean shot and end this quickly!”
“Your part of that group, aren’t you? Well, tell your boss I said hi!”She suddenly charged Jim with a glowing hand and struck between his rib cage, and knocked the breath out of him.”And that I’m going to take him out myself!”She roared. She recoiled back and watched him fall to his to his knees, one hand over his chest. he wheezed and cursed under his breath while he recovered. She could hear his ribs crack as they healed and rearranged themselves in there original frame. Naytalya knew she wasn’t going to cause much damage because the immunity spell Jim cast earlier. Nevertheless, she felt satisfied that he could still feel the injury before it healed, and that she could frustrate him to the point where his attacks would get sloppy .After he recovered, he looked angrier ,and red faced, then he looked as if a thought struck him,he then unexpectedly took a crumbled paper from his pocket and looked at the both of them with a puzzled expression.”They didn’t tell me about another target. “He said referring to Zaran “Who the heck are you?”

"I am but a thief who was trying to steal from this girl, that is until you interfered." Zaran draws another black flamed arrow. "So you say that his arm is fake. Alright, that immunity spell should be wearing off any moment now. Yes, I can sense that it is weakening. So now, I believe that once I hit his arm it should burst into black flames, just like the tree from earlier. The flames should weaken the arm enough for your electric bullets to destroy his arm. Oh, and I'll take you up on that offer." Zaran focuses on the fake arm, concentrating to find out when the immunity spell will wear off. "NOW!" Zaran shoots his arrow at Jim's arm, causing it to go up in flames. "Yes, just as I thought. Now its your turn girl. That reminds me, we havent told each other our names. Mine is Zaran, Zaran Kunick."
“Natalya Wright, nice to meet you. Though, I really wish it we’re under different circumstances. Also, you past your job interview, congrats. ”
She fried four rounds of the electric bullets at his flaming arm and watched it the ground with a thud. Shocked that he was literally disarmed, he quickly calmed down and clinched and unclenched his remaining hand that had the iron knuckles.
“I’m not going down that easily.”Jim gave a menacing grin and charged at them so fast they almost didn’t have time to respond. She shot three rounds of poisoned bullets ,this time Jim jerked back from the shots and fell to the ground infront of them."I guess you are."She said.
She checked Jim for any information about his group.None just that paper he had earlier. She turned to the direction she believed the road was and headed there."We better leave before more members arrive."As they walked she remembered that she had to explain the profit."Oh, about your income. You will be paid as security and as my assistant by the research team I work for. However, try anything foolish like rob me or anyone else I’m acquainted to and I will fire you. Got it? You will also be permitted to own the treasure you find on the expeditions ,but only if you find it. Obviously know there is a risk to this job, but I can tell you'll fair well.” She thought she smelled something funny and took a lock of her hair finding it was scorched from their fight.” I’ll… let this slip.” She said apparently irritated.

"Hmm, you are a powerful one. Ill accept those terms of income, but I'm not to interested in the 'assistance' part. Eh, I'll deal with it though. I expetcted you would only let me have the treasure I find, considering you are a treasure hunter." Zaran puts away his bow and arrows. "And who are these 'member' people you speak of? They seem particularly interested in you."

The ground marked with his footprients as the Hunter stepped on the muddy ground. The marsh had been a recent sight for body depositing. A few young treasure hunters had been spotted, dead stripped of everything and rapped up in sacks. What a gory sight it was. He had placed himself behind a leafy bush weapon in hand, blood shed in his mind.
And as the wind went by a tree branch moved. What the?... Lone Wolf had focused his eyesight a bit more on the target. As his view became clearer, the leaves became less loose and it blended in more, wooving itself together. The leaves had really been a shirt. It's wearer massive in size. It carried a huge club tipped off with some nails. Typical Brute. It had huge bag on it's other hand, it contents unkown. The giant moved deeper into the marsh and Lone Wolf close behind, scurrying when the giant turned around. They had reached a murky swamp when the giant finally stopped. The covering closest was a slim tree with a bushy arbust. An ironic sight, and a perplexing sight the tree was.
The giant had untied the bag, opening it. It grabbed something from withing the bag, the object limped in his hand. A closer view would freeze the blood of any human. Though the Lone Wolf, had lost most of his humanity a long time ago. The limping object was a pale, white human body. It had been soaring in a second from the giant's hand. It landed a few hundred feet away splashing in a pool up ahead.
After three bodies had been pulled from the bag and trashed in the marsh the bounty began moving from the scene. He had picked up the bag and was about to take it with him when the brute had an idea. He picked it up and headed to the tree concealing the hunter. All this time he hid still just staring at the giant. The giant had reached the tree when it spotted a shade of black in the green tree. Thinking it was a raven, the giant swung at it and before it made contact with the tree the hunter was out behind the brute.
Though Lone Wolf acted stealthly the giant sensed him and turning around it wielded its massive spiked club. Swinging it at Lone Wolf like it had done in the past,it smiled a big grin revealing a misshapen mouth and a number of missing teeth. The hunter had gone and the giant's institution had told him he had been crushed in the blow.
A ringing sound, a gash of blood, a scream of pain, and the giant fell down. It had all happened in an instant and the hunter slowly pulled out his mystic gunblade from the giants back. The blood seeped out and Lone Wolf had already pulled out his Bible, saying a few prayers and closing the Holy Book. The hunter sighed, "Peace Rest Within." His eyes hand tuned fully black for a moment and a white wisp rose from the giants mouth. It entered a small diamond shaped red crystal that seemed to be alive as it pulsed. His eyes had turned normal again and he was already vanishing into the shadoes of the deep forest.

“I knew you wouldn’t like the idea of assistant but you’ll get more income if I say you are. About the Group; Well I’m not to sure what they call themselves, or if they go by any name at all. Apparently they have a leader, and seeing that he’s capable of making a man like Jim to do his bidding, I’m curious to find out how powerful this guy really is. If it’s intellect that’s getting him by, instead of strength, then he’s proven himself arrogant, thinking that Jim alone could kill us. As for them having an interest in me. I’m well known in my profession so it wasn’t that surprising that they would try to kill me ,there just eliminating the competition”
After a while of walking, she stumbled across a rural road that looked as if it has been unused for quite while. They followed it out of cuoriosity, hoping it would lead to a familiar road. After enjoying a silent walk in the forest, they come across an old hut, in what looked like a marsh. One that Natalya had visited once before.”Well that saved us some time. Looks like Cathleen‘s home too. Here."She tossed him a pouch containing a resonable amount of gold." You might find some interesting things to buy.” Natalya stepped into the cramped, dimly lit hut, and made her entry clearly known.
”Cathleen! Come out, come out where ever you are!”
Natalya yelped a little when she ran into a wooden sheath that was hanging from the ceiling. While rubbing her sore forhead, Cathleen walked into the room with a heavy box. She was of elf descent, and looked around Natalya’s age if not younger. She glared at Natalya once she realized she was in her hut.
”Oh, no... Last time you came around, my house was almost destroyed; you two better get outa here before I make you get out!”
“Gezz Cathleen, you really know how to welcome your customers."She laughed" And besides, that wasn’t my fault. I thought I’ve explained that already.”
“You did. But every time you come around here, things happen. You’re like my black cat. I swear there's something wrong with you. Have you been cursed by some one? Any one?”
Natalya grinned at Cathleen’s fallacy and walked over to the counter she was behind.
“I won't be here to long. I've heard you had some interesting new's for me?”
“Oh, you’re here for that? Hold on a minute; and don’t touch anything!!!”She yelled as she dissapeared into the room she came out of. Natalya rolled her eyes and turned around, resting her elbows on the counter while she waited for her.
A wolf unexpectedly entered the room while Cathleen was away. Natalya’s eyes widened as it casually walked towards her and then behind the counter.
”Holy crap! What’s that doing in here?”
“Hi, what are you doing here buddy.”Natalya asked, trying to be friendly with it.
“Um okay, hi?”Said the Wolf.
Natalya gaped at the wolf and quickly snapped out of it before he could tell.
“Okay? I can’t say I was expecting that. Neat."
“I get that a lot.”The wolf replied with a smirk.
There was a uneasy silence in the room till Cathleen returned.
” I see you’ve become acquainted to Talon.”
“You could say that.” Said Natalya as she looked crossly at him.
He was silent and still the whole time. If you were to have walked into the room at that moment, you would have assumed he was a prized trophy from a hunt. His stunning blue eyes seemed to be the only thing penetrating the darkness in the corner he was sitting in.
“Okay here’s what I’ve recovered from some thugs I ran into last week. I believe they were members of that murderous Group I've been hearing about.”
“You weren’t hurt, were you?”
“Your kidding right? I’m a lot stronger than you human's and I'm quite capable of defending myself, thank you very much.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Let’s see here… Say’s something about a cavern, yata, yata, yata. The latest findings say this is where the next lead to one of the powers is. Not a lot of people are aware about this area.... It's, actually not far from this place. This is fabulous Cathleen! I’m really glad you’ve found this.”
“Glad you like it. You know, I told Matt about this, but he told me you where in the area and would retrieve it for him. Pfft! He needs to get off his lazy butt and do some things himself. Are you his errand girl or somthing.”
She said as she crossed her arms and seated herself in a crudely built chair.It looked as if it had been made with a verity of tree limes.
“Of course not."She said as she calmly collected the papers off the counter." He's not at all as lazy as you discribe him,infact, thats not him at all. He helps, in his own ways. As of now, he’s got he’s own problems to deal with.”
“Speaking of him, I hope he’s okay. He hasn’t replied to my text yet.”
“From this report this place seems well hidden; I believe Talon will be of some use to you when it comes to locating it."She sat up and leaned close to Natalya to wisper to her"But he's a little sarcastic pain in the butt" Natalya grinned"We can take him."She replied."Hey! Are you up for it Talon? It’ll be fuuun.” Said Cathleen.
“Sure, I‘ve got nothing to do here as it is.”He said snidely.
"Apparently a whisper is'nt quiet enough to escape his hearing range."
“Despite the fact that I don’t like you. I feel entitled to tell you about the hazard’s I've heard about this particular cavern."She told Naytalya as she sat back down." I’ve heard it’s full of innumerable tunnels, that traverse through each other constantly. And no one has ever come out after entering it. Another rumor is that this cavern is loaded with trip wires and deadly traps .The strangest rumor I’ve recently heard about it, is that it does something to you mentally; it brings your worst fears into reality. I think? Or ether it just has a lot bugs…one or the other.”
“ Thanks for the heads up, Cathleen. And thanks alot for the info too.”
“Welcome, anything else?” She asked, sounding uninterested.
“We might need some things from here, just be patient with us a little while longer. Sine you sell extremely unique items, we might need them for the cavern.”
Natalya bought a couple of Phoenix downs, for revival purposes and some more effective potions and defence trinkets.

As Natalya talked to Cathleen, Zaran walked around the rest of the shop, looking at the various trinkets. As he passed an old shelf something glitering caught his eye. He looks up at the mysterious object which turns out to be a golden ring encrusted with two rather large rubies.
"No, it cant possibly be..." Zaran muttered under his breath. "Excusee me mam but how much is it for this ring."
Zaran grabs the ring and brings it over to Cathleen.
"Oh that. I have had that old thing for years now. Well, lets see. Ill sell it to you for 100 silver pieces."
"Excellent" Zaran hands over the silver. "Hmmm, and this cavern you plan on taking me to dosent seem like itll be a nice little picnic, and Im running low on supplies." Along with the ring Zaran buys some Ethers, Potions, and a couple tufts of pheonix down.
"Alright, whenever you two are ready Ill be waiting outside."
Zaran steps outside.
"I cant believe that woman sold it to me for so cheap. It was practically a steal for such a highly magical object. Now, I only need to locate the other two to complete the set, yet those two are rumored to be in that cursed land that we are headed off to. Hmmm, this could work out better than I though."
Talon trotted out of the hut first, followed Natalya. Her attention was focused on her cell- phone as she sent another text. “He's probably getting back at me after not replying earlier. “She mumbled. Talon was ahead of the two, his head hanging low, making his fur rise on his shoulders and making his size more intimidating. I wonder if Zaran's aware that I know he's got a bounty on his head? No matter,I dont expect to betray a colleague... Still,I need to let him know that I know,so he wont think I'm completely clueless...Natalya caught up with Zaran and noticed the ruby incrested ring.”I didn’t think you where the type that would be interested in rings. What does it do Zaran?” There was something unique about that ring,and she could have sworn she's seen it before. She got a hold of his hand and lifted it to get a closer look.

"Do you mind?" Zaran pulled his hand out of Natalya's. "If you wanted to look at the ring you cold have just asked. And if you must know its a magical ring that can enhance the powers of my arrows. This one in particular increases the black flame that I can create. There are two others I am searching or, one is incrusted with a sapphire and the other with yellow quartz. The other two will give my arrows the powers to freeze and to produce lightning, kind of like those bullets you have. The mage that taught me the incantation for the black flame told me of them. This red one is the only one I have found. I was really surprised to find it in that shoody little shop." Zaran then realizes that Talon has been watching him out of the corner of his eye. "Whats with you wolf? Why are you staring at me? You know, having you join us has made me somewhat uneasy."
“Why’s that archer… is it because I have the ability to speak or is it my presence?” Said Talon.
“Actually, it is kind of odd Talon. You don’t see many talking animals running around.”Replied Natalya, after a pause she switched over to Zaran."You'know, Zaran...I,uh-nevermind.I'm not even sure if what Im about to say is acurate or not,nevermind."

Zaran looks at Talon "It's pretty much what Natalya just said. Im not that used to seeing talking animals. Also, I havent met many tame wolves in my lifetime."
Zaran then turns his attention to Natalya. "What were you about to say? I dont think that it is wise for you to keep secrets from people you hire."
"Secrets? Well, speaking of secrets...I'd rather talk to you about that later."She tole Zaran.Talon interrupted "Don’t trust me yet I see."
"Nope! You’re only here to help us to find the Cavern, not an official a part of this team …Besides that type of information is not necessary for you to overhear.”
Talon unexpectedly stopped and scanned his surrounding’s.
“Where being followed…By, one. No Two.”His voice was lower than usual, Natalya wondered how close the enemy really was, for him to be almost down to a whisper...” If we expect to make it to the Cavern without any delays we need to pick up the pace, now!”
He took off leaving only tossed leaves in the air. Natalya quickly followed after him, and then felt the presence of the two he mentioned.
"These guys seem as strong as Jim.Still we should'nt take a chance finding that out."

"So this is the grand plan to handle people coming after us, running away. You realize that no matter what these guys will probably catch up to us. So why not take care of them now and not have to deal with them latte? If all three of us work together we could probably handle these to punks no problem. Plus, I kinda want to know how much damage this ring can do."
The group then heard crashing of in the distance behind them.
"I hope that shop owner is alright. She said that something bad always happens when you show up Natalya. Hopefully those two brutes havent done anything."
And whats with Natalya being so hush hush about whatever she wanted to tell me? Maybe something will slip out later.
Previously at Cathleen’s hut…..
One hour has past since Zaran and Natalya left .And Cathleen continued working on restocking the selves behind the counter. She was all alone, and didn’t have any company; just the way she liked it. “So far, so good. Maybe last time was a fluke after all.” Just as she said that; her ears twitched from an alarming sound before the door of her hut burst wide open. Two intruders entered the room, a male, and a smaller female. The male had a devilish smile, and spiky brown hair, the rest of his features where concealed under his heavy wardrobe, and a pair of shades. ”Cathleen the merchant…”He said in a smug tone as he walked towards her.”We’ve heard you have something of interest, and decided we would like to take it off your hands.”
The female that cme along with him,was a blonde headed girl who was too busy examining the huts contents to care about the situation at hand; she remained quite while her comrade did his part.
Cathleen looked like she was going to explode. How could she have thought that she would survive today without incident, after Natalya’s little visit. She could sence the intruders real power levels. As much as she dreaded it, she was going to have to use extreme measures to get them out of here, even if that meant taking the house down with it. “Oh, you want that do ya? Well sorry bud some one beat ya to it.” She replied with a cocky grin, too amuse about what she had planned for them.”Mind telling me who? Or do we have to force it out of you.”From his expression, he seemed like he would’ve resorted to violence ether way. She jerked a hand held missal launcher from under the counter, startling the two. And wanting to get some payback on Natalya for what was about to happen, Cathleen told them who took the new info.”A Treasure Hunter, an Archer, and a mutt! Now… get the %$#@ Outa my house!!!?”She roared. The male smiled, assuming who the hunter was, and quickly cast defense spell before Cathleen pulled the trigger.
”Sayonara!!!!” She set off an explosion and sent the two, literally flying out the door despite the defense spell he cast. Cathleen quickly jumped over the counter and raced outside to fire another round before they could recover.”Where ya going?! Don’t ya wanna play?!?!”She yelled as she fired another round.
The two looked at each other almost in a panic as they dogged the brutal explosion.”It’s not here!” The male informed seeming a irritated; the two disappeared from Cathleen sight before another round of her wrath was unleashed. She used the scope to track them, but ended up losing them in the density of the forest .However they didn’t leave without leaving a present. The male, though as far away as he was, shot a flaming bomb at Cathleen. Before it could reach her, she dogged it in the nick of time, only for it to demolish her hut. She watched in disgust as her hut burst into flames.”Ah, $%^@....”
Meanwhile in the forest….
After Zaran mentioned that; Natalya glanced over her shoulder towards the direction where Cathleen’s hut was located, and spotted a tiny pillar of smoke in the distance. Without a word, she gently slapped her hand over her face and groaned.”Talon! Were going to take these guys out! You go… find that place!”
She said, not wanting to release anymore info for there pursuers to over hear . Talon nodded and disappeared into the forest.
“Your right Zaran, if we keep on running we might just lead them to our next clue. Let go have some fun!“
The next step she took she twisted on her heel and darted right at her oncoming enemy, striking him in smack dab the face with a glowing fist. Her cleverly designed gauntlets are almost unnoticeable, they heighten the force of power in the users blow by ten times. Once they were at a point they had an opportunity could talk, she was stunned and outraged when she got a good look at his face."You...you've got lot of guts chasing after me. Do you have a death wish or somthin', cause I'll be glad to grant it."Said Natalya, as she pointed her pistol at him. He was on the ground rubbing his sore jaw."Owch,didnt see that comin'." Natalya appearently was'nt a threat in his perspective, he grinned as he looked the blood on his wrist from his busted lip. Barley squeezing the trigger,and fighting the urge to want blow his head off.She felt a gust of wind ,then in mere second a blade was to her throat.This partner was behind Natalya and spotted her actions.She realesed her finger from the trigger and was fore to drop it."Well, now.I've heard you have somthing of our's."
She grinned."Maybe,maybe not."
"Cathleen said otherwise,now give it here, or Mina will get impatient."
Stunned that Cathleen sent these killers to inflect revenge on her was a new low.
"Not happen'n!!!"
She darted away from Mina slaming her fist into her side, then she attacked Xavier when he came at her but he attacked her first and tossed her to the ground with a blast of flames .She recovered quickly to face another round but it didnt come. She didnt escape Mina without injuri, she was wounded with a non leathal cut on the side of her neck from one of her swords, and then a gash to her shoulder from the other sword she had.
He's gotten a lot faster since the last time I've seen him.

"$#!@, these guys aren't gonna be easy. Natalya, how about we divide these two up. Ill take the big guy, you take the girl."
Draws up his bow.
"Hehe, Ive been waiting to see what this ring can do. Minteth natio rem ni hai soreth!"
The arrow suddenly burst into a golden flame, rather than the black flame from before.
"Nice, now lets see what kind of damage it can do."
Taking careful aim, Zaran shot at Xavier, but he was to quick and dodged the arrow. Despite the fact that the arrow missed there was still something else. At the spot where the arrow hit the ground a massive explosion erupted, causing all 4 of the fighters to be sent flying in seperate directions.
"$#!@, sorry Natalya. I had no clue it would create a massive explosion like that. I think it was because I put to much magic into my arrow."
Zaran drew up another arrow, but this time he put half of the magic he did last time into the arrow. He shot directly at Xavier again, missing by a foot, but this time the explosion wasn't as large.
[I"Hmmm, so thats how this ring works.[/I]
Although the explosion was near a tree which caused shards of wood to go flying. One cut Xavier along his arm, causing a short spurt of blood to come out.
"You little punk!" Xavier yelled at Zaran "Ill kill you for that."
Zaran sniggered at Xavier "I'd like to see you try you big ugly brute."
This absolutely infuiated Xavier, and he started running straight toward Zaran with his fist clenced. When he got close he swung at Zaran, but he doged and jumped swiftly into a tree.
"You coward! Come down and face me, man to man."
"Eh, close quarters combat really isnt my style."
Zaran shot another gold arrow down at Xavier, missing yet again. The explosion this time sent up a cloud of dust from the forest floor.
"Damn it. Now I cant see him."
Xavier then came out of the dust right toward the tree Zaran was in. He slammed his fist into the side of the tree, causing it to crash to the floor. Zaran attempted to jump, but his traveling cloak got caught on a branch and he went down hard into the ground with the tree.

Yet Again I'm not here, -_-" Oh and Xavier is my brother's name XD, it pains me to se ehim get hurt like that lol.
Lone Wolf was already out of the marsh heading towards his new mark. He had recovered a bit of information from the big brute's bag. His goal was to eliminate a couple of novice treasure hunters who had gotten an edge on some hidden power. Apparently the power was a main goal for a group of select elite hunters. To his extent of knowledge the competition for the power would grow feirce, leading to more sin, leading to more evil. That power, was a menace to the hunter's lifelong goal. I must... Destroy it. Those where his only thoughts, driven on by something coming from inside him. SOmething he had felt since that day he was trapped in the cave with no way out.
It was a cold December day he had been a Mark hunter for two years now. Not the best of the best, but a quick learner. He had heard from a nearby pub that a priest, had been carried off by a group of beings, said to be demons from hell. They were to sacrifice the priest to the highest of all demons, the king demon. After the novice hunter had located the place where the demons where heading to he had followed after... hoping that the priest... wasn't his rabbi. He reached a lakeside cave. The cave seemed to go into the lake, though fearing he would never get out he walked in deeper as the cave became more humid and the surroundings became darker, till the point the hunter had pulled out a flashlight shining round and round. He had lost the sense of time, it seemed like hours since he had entered, and about to lose his determination he began to hear chanting. A dim light also became visible till he reached the end of the cave. There was the sight that no one in the world could bare. A sight so horrible, a camera could not capture the moment, nor words describe it. The hunter's eyes began to water, only a heartless beast could hold in the sorrow that the Hunter tried so hard to do so. But it was too late the demons were aware of his presence and without giving him a chance to escape a thousand eyes peared at him from behind pushing him deeper into the cave where he tripped and fell on his bottom. The priest... that had raised him up levitated over a pool of blood, where his soul etched away as it left his body. The hunter was prepared to die. At that precise moment not all hope was lost, from within the portal came out a demon fully cloaked and plated in black armor. It resembled a human, but what it looked like he would never find out, for it was hidden behind the armor. What happened next the hunter did not know, except one thing was clear his most loved being's life had ended in the rumble. After the black figure had emerged everything was blank, but when he awoke he found lying beside him a pair of gloves etched and carved with numerous signs and symbols.
Since then his attitude never the same, the lips of the man that were never to smile again were born. His love for the world had ended, and all he could do now was hope, hope that the world might be rid of all of it.
This all done he had recently heard an explosion. Nearing the source he had found someone, her facial features hinting an elven decent. A hut completely demolished layed beside her.
At Cathleens hut....
Cathleen was cursing like crazy. She had never been this furious in her life.”Well that’s just great! Just flippin’ great! How am I gonna repair this kind of damage, crap!” Suddenly a thought crossed her mind.She laughed at the brillant idea.”I’ll just go find Natalya again.... then that way, I’ll find those brutes that did this ,and then kick all there sorry butt’s.”
Hearing some one behind her, she quickly twisted around to see a darkened figure in the marsh.
“Who ‘er you?”She said snidly.
Back at the fight...
"Zaran!" Natalya Yelled, after wittnessing his fall. Before she could help she
sensed Mina's oncoming attack, and quickly darted out of the way .Mina’s blades struck the ground with enormous force leaving only two deep gashes and sent grass flying everywhere. As Mina jumped towards Natalya she shot with at her with her electric gun and struck her sword, sending a fearsome electric current into the handle. With a sream she fell to the ground. Mina gasped for air after having the breath knocked out of her, and felt a unbearible pain in her hands; they were badly burned from the shock.”Huh, looks like you’ve got some new toys.”
Natalya stood silent not knowing why Mina seemed so calm.
Without warning, Mina’s hands began to heal before Natalya had time to react and disappeared from her sight. Natalya was slashed 5 times in 2 seconds. She barley had any time, but she managed to block a couple with the shields her gauntlets created. Though she didn’t avoid all of them. Down on her knee’s she could tell Mina wore a mechanical devise on her legs that increased her speed. She would have to use her poisoned bullets to have the slightest chance of winning.”Why on earth are you working for Xavier? Why him?”
Mina looked a little confused about why Natalya would ask that, but explained herself anyway; seeing she had the upper hand in this fight.”He pay’s well… plus, he’s after the power’s… something I’m after as well.” She walked closer to Natalya swinging one of her blades in the air, the one she planned to end this fight with.”You’ll die if you join him. I know this because he was my colleague once....He left me to die on one of our missions.”
Mina’s face changed to a look of disgust.”If you’re trying to turn me against my own partner, it’s not workin’.”
Natalya cautiously unclipped the latch of her blood stained cloak as Mina talked, revealing a normal attire. She lifted up the right side of her dark grey T-shirt a little, showing Mina a laceration scar, that started from her abdomen and seemed to continue to the middle of her upper back. With a solemn look, Natalya said, “He didn’t inflect this, but he left me to die of it… You could suffer the same fate.”
Mina appeared frightened but defended her partner despite Natalya’s efforts.
“You can’t prove any of that! That scar could’ve been inflicted by anyone! You’re just trying to manipulate me!”
Natalya stared at the ground then suddenly pointed her poisoned bullet straight at Mina and shot her shoulder.Mina was off guard.”I might…and I might not. It’s your life.” Mina lay on the ground, stuggeling and cursing Natalya. She could feel the poison rushing through her system and was begining to lose consciousness. Ignoring Mina's rant, Natalya left her to aid Zaran soon after she use a potion to heal herself. Mina was alone and enraged at herself for falling for such an obvious trap. Still a thought kept running through her head, over and over again. "Was she telling the truth, about Xaviar? Or was all of that a lie to lure her off guard? She despised the haunting thought.
When she reached where Xavier and Zaran where. She caught a glimpse of Xaviar about to deal a final blow on Zaran while he was down.“Xavier!”She roared. He stopped and turned his head towards her direction and grinned.”Huh, so Mina wasn’t strong enough to handle you after all.” He abruptly disappeared and reappeared from her sight as he charged her .He clashed he’s flaming hand with her shield and recoiled.” Didn’t know you had those, this might be a little interesting.” He said with a fanged like smirk.”I also have these!” She took out her poisoned gun and fired at him; he caught the bullets in his hand and melted them before her eye’s. Unaffected by this display of power, she held her hand out to the side and formed a lance out of her own energy. The one thing she suspected that wouldn’t be destroyed as easily as her bullets. She swung at him and ran over to Zaran while Xavier was in mid-air. She tossed a potion next to his hand and blocked another attack from Xavier.” Zaran! Are you okay!?”

Zaran gets up out of a pile of broken branches and twigs. He sees the potion Natalya threw to him and used it. "Im doing bettter now, thanks." After the fall Zarans cloak was in shreds. "Damn it, and that was my favorite traveling cloak too." Zaran took of the cloak and threw it aside. He was wearing a black longsleeve T underneath with a brown vest over it. "Well, now. What is this guy's weakness. He has to have some vulnerability. I mean that shard of wood cut right through him." Thats when he noticed it. Xavier's arm was no longer cut, in fact it was completely healed. "Wait, when did he heal himself? I never saw nor sensed anything."
Xavier laughed. "Havent you ever heard of the ability regen. It's a rather complicated spell that when cast on someone will slowly heal them overtime. I cast it upon myself before this battle even began. So now, which one of you should I kill first. How about both of you at the same time." Xavier lunged at Natalya and Zaran, coming down upon the two with tremendous force. Both Natalya and Zaran jumped swiftly away.
"Natalya, I cant locate any weak spots on this guy. I overheard in your conversation with that girl that you worked with this guy. I dont really know if you were telling the truth or not, but if you were you should know something about him. Hopefully some weaknesses?"
Natalya hit an epiphany; she remembered something she saved for Xavier if she were to ever meet him again. She grinned at her plan.”Distract him Zaran.” She said as she reached for something in the small bag that danged from her hip.” Then I’ll make my move.”
Xavier cocked his head to the side.”What’re you gonna do Natalya? You know there’s no way you can beat me,… why bother. I’ll give you one last chance…Hand me those notes!”
“Heck No. We're just begining to have fun”
“Suite yourself.” Then he created two flaming bombs in his hands and threw them at Natalya and Zaran, they dogged them but not without suffering the aftershock of the explosions. She got up in time to block one of Xaviers attack's and kicked him off balance. He laughed as he quickly got up."Even after that incident, you still haven’t lost your touch."
"Shutup!" She struck him in the chest with the lance ,yet he stared at it calmly and gripped it."Shish-cabobbing me now?"Natalya clenched her teeth ,as she watched him pull the lance out without wincing. Zaran attacked him before Xavier could make another move.
As she watched the fight Natalya was crouched down close to the ground. She had two finger’s pressed to the ground and her eyes closed. When Xavier was finally distracted enough she yelled”Endless Void!” A black and purple electric current shot across the ground after him. Zaran spotted Natalya’s attack and backed away, he shot an arrow at Xavier as a black mass consumed him. Xavier was struck by his arrow but something odd happened to it before it reached him; It extinguished before it hit it’s target. A black large, human sized orb lingered a foot off the ground, Natalya remained in her position.” This attack I don’t use often. In fact, this is the fist time I’ve ever used it on an opponent. This void has the same effect as space does. It will dilute his oxygen making his flame based attacks useless…once all of the oxygen around him is gone, then the dilution with quicken, forcing the air out of his lungs. Right about now he’s panicking because he has no way of escape unless I allow it. Unfortunately for him, I’m going to let him live and watch him get imprisoned for life.”
A couple of seconds later, she realeased Xavier, he was out cold and dropped to the ground with a tud.

o-o, again ang again and again
"No one," was the hunter first instinct. "I am no one, a drifter if you please." He was looking at the wreckage trying to possibly figure out what was the cause of all the damage. His face was still hidden beneath the hood of the cloak his eyes were barely visible between the glints of light. His gloves were also surrounded by a dark purple mist hiding them from view from any wily thief. Before she could ask anything he asked her, "I am looking for some friends... perhaps you could help me or not." He recited the description of the bandits he was searching for, and at that end telling Cathleen thye were a couple of friends he had not seen in some time. Of course the Hunter spoke solely of Xavier who was his next mark, the last one before he would hunt and destroy the power. WHile speaking to Cathleen he was noving his hands around while the dark purple mist followed, when he had ended a red ring of fire floated in mid air, and engraved in it was a flaming P. He was summoning... the wise pheonix from the heavens.
Cathleen gripped the handle of her missal launcher as she watched the summoned Phoenix lingering over head. She was'nt sure why he summoned the creature but she didnt want to attack him if it was'nt nessesary. “Impressive! Haven’t seen one of those in awhile. Anyway’s this Xavier guy you’re talkin about. Did he have a kid running around with him? A blond headed girl?" She asked. She contenued to eye the phiniox, wondering it's purpose.
This guy intentions are strange. He's story dosent match his appearance. He looks more like he's out to kill . Im havin' one bad day...

Zaran looked down at Xavier has he gasped for air. "Wow, Natalya. Will you ever cease to amaze me?" Natalya smiled weakly up at Zaran. Aparantly the spell took a bit out of her. "Here, its for when you gave me that potion earlier." Zaran hands Natalya a Remedy. "And just so he dosent go anywhere." Zaran threw a level 3 binding tag at Xavier, which automatically bound him in chains. "Heh heh, what kind of people am I getting myself mixed into?"

Natalya laughed a little after she took the potion Zaran gave her.”Ya 'know, I’m just about out of tricks…Hope I wont be usen’ that one again anytime soon.” She stood up after a moment and took in a deep breath of relief now that it was finally over. As she walked over to Zaran, Mina shot past between them and grabbed Xavier’s chains and swiftly hauled him on her back and retreated into the forest.”No, no, no!” Cried Natalya as she made an effort to chase them. She couldn’t believe this kid had managed to escape the effect of the poison. On second thought, she happened to catch a glimpse of Mina as she past them. She looked strained, and a little ill. Even in her retreat her sprints where a little off balance.
“She didn’t completely avoid it, but she escaped. She most likely used healing spell while she was still conscious. Tough kid...”
Before Natalya even really began to pursue them she suddenly stopped after she heard Talons abrupt howl break through the silence.
“He must’ve found it already.”
Natalya stared petulantly the direction the two escaped one last time, then caught up with Zaran who had already begun searching for where Talon's howl came from.
When she caught up to him she eventually said. “Do you have any questions on your mind? If you do, you need to ask them now or wait till later…I don’t feel like I can trust Talon just yet. Besides, I know something about you that I think would undermined us if Talon were to overhear it. Especially, if he turns out to be a snitch. Would like to start first?”

At first glance the pheonix looked like a weak defenless bird perched on the hunter's arm. It listened carefully as Lone Wolf transmitted the message and without the least warning the bird burst up in flames, it was consumed by it till a majestic fiend flew overhead swirling around as it rised up and took off. "That last manuever wasn't necessary..." Now turning to Cathleen he directed his next words to her. He caught a little almost unoticible frown on her face, seemed she didn't believe him. "Hmmm a blonde?..." he thought for a moment. I don't remember two people in my bounty... That blonde... He caught Cathleen looking at him. "Oh um... either he has a new girlfriend or thats his errr... cousin." He stopped for a moment to breathe slowly. "If that answers your question, may you direct me in their location?"
Why's that? Did you have trouble getting online? It’s been slowing me down =/
Happy to see the phoenix was'nt summoned to abruptly attack her, she relaxed and said. “If your friends turn out to be the one’s that killed my house, you may not want me tag along with you… Ether way, I’m goin after’ em and the people their chasin’ seeing as they owe me a new house. He arched an eyebrow at the question and his reponse was, "A name..." The hunter hadn't heard his name since he became Lone Wolf, but he knew it was buried deep inside him. He looked into Cathleen's eyes intently trying to find any evil that might turn him away from his cause. Here eyes gleamed and while he continued staring he daw her heart through her eyes... she was truthsworthy. 'Names Mark..." he said hesitantly and drew his attention to the forest. "Shall we move on?"
“We shall” Said Cathleen. The fire that consumed her house was now beginning to die down. She wondered around the sounding area for any items she could use that may have avoided destruction. Once she picked up the last remaining item, she left towards the forest with Mark following behind her.
“Somthin’ doesn’t feel right. And it’s not as much about this guy anymore..... it’s somethin’ else.”

“Dang it!!! I can’t disable this freakin spell!” Complained Mina. She had tried everything in her power to release Xavier from Zaran’s bind spell. As she tried another release spell, she took a fleeting look at Xavier’s face. Nothing had improved since they’ve escaped. He was still unconscious and she was still ill from the poison. Luckily the bullet passed right through her shoulder instead of remaining there. If that’ve been case she would be dead by now. Her hands glowed in bright light once the spell was cast and watched it trying to see if it had the slightest effect. Nothing…” What the heck is this?”She yelled
Suddenly feeling exhausted, she sat down where she was and stared at Xavier, regretting the fact that she couldn’t release him sooner. Concern changed to suspicion before she realized it. Those haunting words and the scar Natalya revealed. That scene played over and over in her head.
“Was she telling the truth? Am I really at risk if I stay with you, Xavier? Would you abandon me...Even after the way we met?”
Mina viewed him as an older brother more than a colleague. It was in the way’s he would treat her that lead her to think of him that way. But those nice little gestures where extremely rare. He wasn’t the type who easily expresses himself in any kind way. She didn’t know any different. Before she met him, she lived a difficult life on the streets; to her it seemed like the lowest form of living and she wanted out, it was an ambition she desired. And that day came when Xavier traversed her town and gave her of all people, an opportunity to get out of it. She was grateful to him for that, no matter how callous he was. Maybe the knowledge that he’s tried to be kind was enough to keep her around. However, if he really were that low of a person to do that…
"Go or stay?"
Her thoughts where abruptly interrupted when a powerful force entered the area. A huge cloaked figure approached her from out of the shadows of the trees. Startled, she took one of her swords by a hidden chain and swung at the man, he disappeared before it even reached him. Her eyes quickly scanned the area.”Where’d he go!?”His hand on her shoulder quickly answered that question. She awkwardly jumped away from the stranger with Xavier in hand. She dropped him beside her then got in a fighting stance.
“I can’t go on like this. I can’t fight him. I’m not strong enough!”
“Mina, its okay I know’ em.”Said Xavier in a sleepy tone.
Mina immediately kneeled next to his side.
“Xavier, are you okay?” She asked.
“Yeah.” He coughed, “Mind helping me or are you just here to watch?” He snidely asked the cloaked man.
A grin was barley visible from the shadow of his hood. He casually walked over and touched a link of the several chains that bound Xavier, and they instantly shattered to peices. Awe struck, Mina couldn’t manage to speak; she didn’t know what to say. Should she apologize to this unknown ally for attacking him? No! She wouldn’t dare apologize to a person who announced the presence like that, even if he was an ally. He scared her to death, why bother. He should be the one apologizing from her opinion. Silently, she watched and listened to their conversation.
”Long time no see, Seth.”Xavier started
“Same here. Look’s like you’ve had it rough.” Said Seth. Xavier frowned in obvious disgust and changed the subject.
“What do you want?”Said Xavier in an impatient tone.
“I have a proposal I thought you would be interested in. You’re still hunting for the powers... am I correct?”
“Have I been known for anything else?”
Seth exhaled a small laugh.
“Good to hear. So, are you interested or not?”
“Yeah I’m interested , What’cha got in mind?”

Zaran looked at Natalya. "Well, I'm still curious about what it was you were holding back on me before we got attacked." Zaran then looked around the trees and saw some ripe red apples on a nearby tree. H jumped up into the tree and grabed two, thrwing one to Natalya. "Also, is what you said to that girl true? You really used to be with that Xavier dude? And more importantly, whats his organization all about? I mean what does he plan to do with the powers? He must have told you when you were his partner, that is if you were his partner." Zaran jumped down out of the tree and took a bite out of his apple, only to find that a worm had already claimed it. "Ick, vile little creature." Zaran threw the apple away and grabed another one, only he inspected this one more carfully and fond no indications there was a worm inside this one. He then started eating the apple.
Yeah seriously, lol Im suprised thanksgiving comin so soon.
Natalya grimaced at the wormed apple on the ground and examined hers finding no holes in it and took a bite.”Okay, about Xavier. Yes he was my partner; no he didn’t leave me to die of that injury I showed Mina. That was a surgery I had when I was, well to little to remember. I did that to sike her out and distract her, mainly to make her reconsider her decision of joining Xavier because he did leave me for dead from a bullet wound….Also; I know you’ve got a hefty bounty on your head.”She took another bite, not even looking to see Zaran’s expression."I didnt want to tell you I knew that infront of the wolf, since he can talk and all, didnt want to risk it."

"So you have heard of my bounty. I dont see how anyone wouldnt know about it considering I have wanted posters with my head on it in almost every city and large town in this land. I tend to avoid any of those cities since people may recognize me. Usually I go about towns at night. I've spent a good portion of my time at the local tavern. Actually it was in one of those taverns that I heard of the powers, though I didnt really believe a word that drunken man said." Zaran contiued to eat his apple. "Why was I in Crosway? Well it isnt a very big town. I was planning to lie low there for a while. None of the people there seemed to notice I was a wanted thief so it was perfect. Like I said, its usually only in the cities and large towns where people know who I am. And why havent I quit? Well, a thief seeks profit, and this venture obviously holds some. Plus, im like any ohter 25 year old dude. I like a bit of adventure every now and then." Zaran chuckles.
"Sounds like you've been kept on the alert for awhile, must be a drag being like that all the time." She smiled.
Suddenly ,Talon burst through some foliage that surrounded the area, looking pretty annoyed.

"Wow, the dog is back. Thats just great. I guess we have to get serious now." Zaran rolls his eyes. "So, we were heading west." Zaran points down a row of trees. "So I guess we should get going. Especially if we want to get to those powers before some of those other organization members." Zaran gets up. "But before we go, we need some food." He picks a dozen of the biggest, worm free, apples from the tree and puts them in his pack. "Well then, shall we be on our way?"
OOC Im done for tonight. Its almost 2am here and I need to be up by 8. Night Thias. ^_^
Talon said nothing as he trotted ahead of them, Natalya followed after the two, feeling a sense of contentment. Something she hasn’t had for along time.
“Nice to know I wont be doing this stuff alone anymore.”
An hour had past since they'd left. Zaran and Natalya were becomimg impatient and tired from the hike seeing as they havent come across any sign of the alusive cavern ."This way." Said Talon as he easily raced up the steep slope.
'Show off." Mumbled Natalya,she suddenly slipped on some lose leaves after she said that.Zaran glanced over his shoulder when he heard a small yelp from her, then continued on after he found she was fine. Once they reached the top, they found Talon sitting patiantly on top of a boulder, over to his right was the barely noticable entrance of the cavern, hidden by the thick folage that in cased it."Are you sure ya'll want to continue? I took a look inside, it's picth black in there."
"That wont be a problem for long."
She ripped some of the vines away from the entrance and peered into it.She then looked up at Talon with a satisfide smile.
"Thanks for helping us out, Talon. Could'nt have done it without ya." She tossed a small pouch up to him,he caught it in his fags then dropped it infront of his paws. He stared down at the two. His blue eyes penetrating like knives in the afternoon sky.
"Actually, I have no intention of returning to Cathleen. I would...if it's fine with the two of you, join you till I fine a more sutible place. It would benifit us both. I would be accompanied, and you would have more assistance with your search till then."
"Why do you not want go back"
" She get's on my last nerve and there's nothing for me to go back to."
She raised a brow.
"Okay, well. Maybe he could join...I guess."
"Good point. I guess you can join us... However there's rules. If we stummble across anything, treasure for example. You can only claim what you find. Aso, do somthing stupid and you will be fired...Last but not least, chill out. Your uptight and snappy all the time, relax some will ya."
Talon jumped down from the boulder to the smaller ones till he reached the ground."Habit..."
Natalya crouched down and entered the cavern first.Once in, she found she was able to stand uprught.What little twilight was left lit up a portion of the tunnel.She could'nt see to far in beacuse of the darkness."It is dark in here." When she siad that her voice seemed to endlessly echco though the maze tunnels that made up this cavern. Even the tapping of Talons claws on the stone floor echoed."Told ya." He said.
"So, who wants to pick out the first tunnel we go in?"Asked Natalya.

"Ugh, its to dark in here. I can barley see my hand in front of my face." Zaran then gets an idea. He grabs an arrow and lights it in the golden flames. The light floods the dark cavern and he sees Talon up ahead of him and Natalya is next to him. In front of Talon is a fork within the cavern, one going left, the other right. "Who knows how big and deep this cavern is. If we take a wrong turn in here we could get lost down here for days, maybe even months. I know we dont have enought food to last us that long." Zaran and Natalya aproach Talon the the split path. He looks down both passages, not knowing which way would be the correct path.
"Dont get any idea's of splitting up the group." Talon fussed
"That would be suicide right there." Natalya looked at the tunnels.
"Lets go to the right...If we find that is'nt the way to go well follow this for a way out."
She took a glowing medium sized crystal from her pocket and scraped the side of the wall with it, leaving a bright visable mark.
"Kinda old fasioned, but' it will do for now."
They walked into the tunnle they chose, still keeping an eye out for any snares or trip wires."Nothing so far. Natalya was begining to consider Cathleen was way off in her warning, or ether trying to sike her out one. She exhaled a barly noticable laugh."Dang it!"
Growled Talon."What, what did you do." asked Natalya in a hesitant tone.
"I stepped on a panel on the floor, I didnt see it till it was to late."
Everyone went silent and refused to move any further.
"Nothings happened yet, why?" Asked Natalya
She stepped forward first, slowly making her way along. She examined the wall before she made another mark, then stopped.
"What are you doing?" Asked Talon.
An assult of arrows form oth sides of the walls where set off, Talon took of in a mad dash with the others behind him doing the same

He followed silently behind Cathleen leaving no trace that anyone had passed through their trail. It had been some time since Mark had let out the pheonix so he drew his hand to his mouth, the mist vanishing for a moment and he whistled, though the whistle seemed smooth rather than peircing, almost songlike. The pheonix had appeared immediatly and Mark raised his right hand where the pheonix crashed and disappeared. His eyes burned bright red for a moment as the information was inscribed in his head. "Hmm no sign of them"...

"Hmm..." he was observing his surroundings closely but it still seemed he was not familiar with the place. "I think I can stick a little longer, I'm not very familiar with this part of the country. "And I have a grwat desire to reunite with my 'friends," Mark added. He knew the bounty on their heads was great, but the satisfaction of eliminating more evil was just as pleasent.
Without warning, the both of them fell through a weak spot in the ground. Coughing from the dust Cathleen looked up at the newly added skylight and then at Mark who seemed just as unpleased with this as she was."Found it!" She coughed as she got up examined where there location might have been ."Looks like we fell halfway into the cavern." After they began walking they could hear somthing extremely faint in the distance."What is that?"Asked Cathleen. Ears pirked,and a small flame leading the way , they hoped the sound was'nt an enemy.

Natalya, Zaran, and Talon kept running. After going about 100 yards the arrows stoped. Breathing heavily "Damn it wolf, you almost got us killed! How could you be so wreckless as to not notice that tile." All of a sudden the trio heard a crash further up the cavern. "Great, another trap you set off?!" Zaran spun around to see what awaited them only to find that a large amount of light coming in throught the ceiling and two figures getting up off the ground in the middle of the light. "How could those people be? Probably more people from that organization."
OCC- Now if only all three of us could be here at the same time. :P

Natalya looked over were Zaran was staring. Terrified she tryed(without Zaran noticing) to hide herself behind Zaran in an attempt to avoid being seen by Cathleen."What the- Natalya! You owe me a new freakin house!"
Found out she stepped aside and revealed herself."Ya,ha. And you need a reality check, I didnt destroy it."
"Everytime you come around somthing out of the blue happens, so in other word's YES it is! You came- Somthing stupid happend- your fault!"

"No! Not untill a house, is sitting in that marsh."

From the moment he saw Zaran his photographic memory started working. Images flashing here and there until a poster with Zaran's face on it appeared. He understood who he was and what Mark had to do so pulling back into the shadow he unsheathed his weapon. A gunblade at least three feet long glinted with the smallest possible light that reached him. The point of the blade menaced him as he pointed it directly at his heart as he held it like a gun.
"Oh crap!" Yelled Natalya. She quickly took her guns and aimed them at Mark.
Cathleen and Talon just stared wondering who this guy really was.
"Cathleen who's this?"
"Mark..."She said with no expresion

"Oh, $!#@." Zaran says as he looks at the gunblade pointed straight at him.
"Hmmm, I dont fight well in closed quarters like this."
Zaran then takes the flaming arrow he has been holding and draws his bow.
"Maybe I can cause an explosion large enough to separate us with a cave in."
"Natalya, Talon start running in the opposite dirction. This guy is going to be no pushover. Some of the best theives out there, some better than me, have been baged by this guy. Im not gonna join the list."
Zaran then fires his arrow at the ceiling, hoping his plan would work. The arrow exploded, causing boulders to fall. Once the dust cleared Zaran saw that the boulders only covered half the passage.
"Crap, he can still get through."
Natalya ran a distance but not far enought to lose sight of Zaran. She hid behind a boulder for cover and watched for anything to go wrong.
"Stupid, stupid ,stuipd!" She whispered ,she was furious with Cathleen's actions, still she seemed unaware of what was his intentions were ether."Why are you talking to yourself?" Asked Talon. "Shutup." She said quickly
"I'm guessing that was one of your friends,eh? Your not looking for friends are ya? What exacly are ya anyway." Cathleen asked,as she dusted herself off once more.

"Hmph, Zaran, prince of thieves," mark quoted the poster. "I've been known for bounty hunting, and this is a bounty I don't plan on losing."
The tip of the gunblade lit up, a ball of light soar through the cave blasting the cave in and disintegrating it. He sheated his gunblade as it would not be mcuh help in close quarter combat in such a small place. He pulled out two daggers running to Zaran with murder on his eyes. "One less thief, less evil in the world."
"Hold it!!!" Yelled Natalya as she fired two rounds of electric bullets at him. Talon jummped back when he heard the shots and Cathleen took cover.

The electric bullets came towards him while he used his daggers to block them. THe force knocked them out of his hands and stuck to the rock wall. Mark wasn't about to give up yet and rising his hands up he began an incantation, summoning a fiery bow with three arows on it. He fired one at Zaran, the other at Nathalya and the other he aimed at Talon.

Zaran doged the arrow that Mark shot at him. He put away his bow and took out his dagger and charged at Mark. "No way am I going down without a fight!"
Natalya barely missed the flaming arrow, but Talon was scorched a bit."He burnt my fur!"
Natalya ran towards him and fired some more rounds, one hit him grazing his shoulder.. Talon ran and used the darkness to his advantage, he jumped at Mark, pinning himto the ground ,and dug his pearly fangs into his arm.

The bow disengrated into thin air and Mark anticipated the thief's attack. He used the blunt side of his gunblade to knock talon off and then he shrowded the area with dark purple mist and he stood in the center of it. Bending his knees and touching the ground feeling for the vibration of the t hieves foot.
Talon yelped when he hit the ground and stuggeled to get up, Natalya activated her gauntlet.He was'nt in the light anymore ,he took advantage of the darkness around him.As she tryed to stike him, she only could assume that where she heard Talon's yelp was where Mark was.

Zaran started moving slowly through the mist, trying to sense any movement at all. When he got near, Mark attacked. Zaran only just sensed Marak but wasnt quick enought to dodge or block his attack. A large cut was put into Zarans abdominal area. He imediatly colapesed onto all fours.
"Damn." Zaran then coughed up a bit of blood. "Those arent ordinary daggers."

He grasped his arm and breathed slowly. He sensed it would be impossible to beat the trio in such close quarters withough the use of his Gunblade. He ran for his daggerspushing himself up out of the hole with them and taking them along with him. "I will come back Zaran... and your life will be... mine" Mark said reachign the top and fleeing.

"Here...I smell blood." Said Talon.
Natalya brought out the crystal again and found him.
"Oh, $#@t , Zaran!" The scene scared her, the ground beneath him was covered in blood.

"Damn it, where did he go. I heard him take off." Zarans talking didnt help his wounds as he coughed up more blood. "Damn him. He could have had me. Why'd he leave? Natalya, a potion isnt gonna cure this." Zaran slowly reaches into his pack and takes out some bandages, but he faints due to the amount of blood lost.
"Zaran?!"
Talon finaly reached where they were , Natalya could see his head wound.The right side of his face was covered in blood."Hurry."
Snapping out of her panic, she took the bandages and dressed Zaran's wound. While she was busy she with this, she thought over the battle. She was angry at herself, and at Cathleen. Who had abandoned them some time during the fight.
"Why didnt she help?! And look at me! Not one scratch! Even the Wolf took a blow. What was I doin, where was I in the fight!?!?! Wait...is this my fear? Is this cavern having an effect on me now? Is being unusefull and losing my allyes a fear of mine?... We need to get out. If we do that we'll miss might miss our chance on getting the next clue. On the other hand, we might lose Zaran. ...Get out now, get back in later."
"Talon, I need you to jump through that skylight and help me haul Zaran to the surface."
"Are we abandoning the mission?"
"No, just stalling it."
Talon jumped out with some help from Natalya. Afterwards she grabbed Zaran by his arm, placing it over her shoulders ,and dragged him over to the skylight."Ready!" she asked, squinting up to see him."Yeah!" She threw a rope up at him that was tied to Zaran's quvier . Talon tugged on it enough to get Zaran off the ground. After a quick check to see Zaran was secure ,she joined Talon and swiftly got Zaran to the surface.Later they found a spot nearby and rested.Nightfall had arrived , Natalya had already dressed Talon's head and now the both of them were concerned for Zaran.
Her cell phone rang in a melodey telling her she had received a text message.
"About time, Matt."
She flipped it open.
"Hello"It read.
"Hello R U OK?"She wrote back.
"Who is this?" Annoyed, she quickly texted back."Quit playin around, Matt. I know it's U"She waited a moment for the next text.
"This is'nt Matt, he's dead." Alarmed, she hesitated to reply.
"He dosent play prank's, whats wrong with him? Is he drunk?"
"R U sober?"She wrote back.There had only been one time Matt had gotten drunk.However, in his drunken state he was'nt known for this type of behavior. Nether where his friends. She was'nt sure if a drunk could text a readible sentence.
She heard the ring,flipped the cell phone open, and made a horrible discovery.It was a picture of Matt's dead corpse on the ground, killed from a gun shot wound and a couple of leathal gashes.The chaotic scene contained two other well-known collegues of her's that were slain.Underneath the pic it read "Get it now"Natalya almost screamed.. Talon noticed her terror and lifted his head in alarm."Whats wrong."He asked
"...Nothing..."
With shaking hands, she typed one last thing.
"Who is this"
"No need to know now,we'll meet very soon."
"There tracking us!"
She immediantly dropped phone to the ground and shot it with her electric pistol.Talon who was just falling back to sleep, jummped to his feet.His black fur stood on end,his eyes as wide as they could be." D@m/l/ it, Natalya!" Natalya blankly stared at the small smoking pile of metal, almost as if intranced by the smoke coming off of it. She could'nt make herself speak,she could only manage,
"My team...is dead...all of them."

Zaran suddenly stirred and opened his eyes. He turned his head and saw Natalya with her gun pointing at the smoldering phone. "Whats going on?" Zaran said. He tried to sit up but his wound sent a shock of pain through his body. "Arg." Zaran withstood the pain adn was able to sit up and lean against a tree that was behind him. "I hope this darn wound will heal soon." Zaran then turned to Natalya and saw the horror that was in her face. "What happened? Whats this about your team being dead?" Natalya remained silent as she looked down at what had once been her phone. Another jolt of pain went through Zaran's body again. Zaran grabed at his wound and cursed rather loudly. After composing himself he looked at Talon. "You know whats up with her? She's acting rather strange."
"Im just as confused as you are." Said Talon. Natalya sat back and placed the pistol back in its holder."Sorry, Talon." She looked over at Zaran who was still in pain,"Glad to see your awake, I was worried there for a sec....We might have some unwelcome company soon. I might have been tracked by my phone.I dont know how much time we have untill they get here." She silently did a 108 scan of the area seeing nothing unusuall ,then hugged her knees close to her and buried her face half way into her arm's to where only here eyes where visible." Need anything?" She asked Zaran.

"I just need to know if you are gonna be alright. What happened? Who has died? " Zaran tried to stand but was unable to. "If these people come soon I dont know how much help I can be. Wounds like these dont heal quickly. It'll take me at least half a day to a full day to be well enough to travel. Unless....there is a herb I have heard of that can quicken the healing process. I think its called Red Hastem. It grows in marshes, and we were in one the other day, there has to be some there. If I could get some Id be able to make a remedy to help these wounds. Pretty obvious what color that they are. To be more specific they are a deep red, kind of like blood."
"I'll...be fine." She cleard her throat, and tried to get over it" I've just recived a text with a pic of my slain collegues on it, and the same prson that did it sent it,so im really freaked right now." She paused a momet and changed the subject.Now this herb, it's called Red Hastem?"
Talon stared at her."Who the heck sent you that picture?"
"He would'nt say,he just said he would meet us soon...the final blow in all this is, whoever attacked my team knows everything weve collected over the years. Urgh! Cathleen might have a point , maybe I am cursed or somthing"

Zaran looks over at Natalya. "You are not cursed. I've seen people who have been cursed before. It's not a pretty sight. Well, Im sorry about your team, and now since your the last one everyone that was after your whole team is now focusing all their attention on you, on us. And yeah, that is the name of the herb."
Her countenance turned grim “Well that’s a nice thought.” She took the leather pouch she had around her waist off and dug in it , pulling out the red Hastem.” This looks about right. If I had known this was a cure for this type of injury I swear I would’ve done something about it. I just bought it because it was with the other unique healing stuff.” She extended her arm to him and handed him the herb.

"Hmmm, I didn't expect that you had already have some, but well it beats waiting to get some from that marsh." Zaran takes the herbs and starts making the medicine. After about 10mins the herbs were ready to be applied. "Okay, now this is the hard part, applying the solution." Zaran starts undoing the bandages and actually sees the wound for the first time since it was made. "Here we go." He quickly applied the medicine to the wound, holding back the pain. Once all the medicine was applied did Zaran stop. He redressed the wounds again and sighed in relief. "That hurt like no ohter, but now that its been applied the wound should be fully healed within the next hour or two. I should be able to walk within the next half an hour." Zaran glanced up at Natalya "Thanks for your help." He then looked over at Talon. "I'm sorry I misjudged you. I know you had to have helped Natalya to get me out of that cavern. I guess you arnt that bad after all." Zaran smiled at both of them.
“Your welcome” They unintentionally said in unison. Whe everyone began to relax, Talons ears twitched and he got to his feet and stared into the darkness. Natalya slowly got up staring in the same direction. A black figure was approaching them , Natalya took her poisoned pistol out and aimed at it.”Stay where you are! Who are you?”
“Whoa lady! Gezz I didn’t mean to alarm ya, I just noticed a fire on my dads land and wondered what was burning.”
It was a boy who looked around 13 in age.” This is your property? Excuse us ,we didn’t know, we won’t be staying here long.”
“ It’s fine a lot of people trespass through here. What’s up with that guy?”
“He’s injured.” Said Talon.
“Whoa sweet! It can talk!”The boy said pointing at Talon.
“Great, I’m an It now?”
“This It is named Talon, Zaran and I’m Natalya.”She reached out to shake his hand as he said,
“Joseph the name. Hey, are you trespassing because of the Cavern.”
Yeah, how’d you know?”
“Because that’s the only thing of interest here. “
“Well duh Natalya”
“Anyway I have a little something that will make the Cavern a piece of cake to get through. But, you have to win it from me.”
“How do I know this isn’t a scam?”
“You just have to trust me. Think about it, why would I even offer something everyone would want if it wasn’t the real deal? It there was anything like it I’m sure people would buy it else where then to gamble with a kid for it. So… ya wanna play?”
Natalya looked over to her partners for their opinion.

"Well, we need to know the way through the caverns and if this kid knows the way through, then we really have no choice. If it is anything physical though Im out, obviously." Zaran looked at Joseph. "We will accept this challenge."
"Cool."Smiled Joseph
“Alright Joseph what’s the game?”Asked Natalya.
Joseph stood up and a bright orb formed in his hand.
“I will disperse thousands of these in the air. Only on of them will contain what you need to get through the cavern. The catch is…only one of you can play and you must bet half your belongings. If you lose you get nothing, zip, nada. And do over’s not permitted. Furthermore, attack me and you’ll face the consequences. So, are ya ready?”
Natalya stepped forward.”Yeah.”
In the blink of an eye the orb split innumerable, hand sized orbs that weaved in several directions in a quick speed. They twinkled in the darkness like stars. Uncertain about how to approach this, Natalya tried to grab some with her gauntlets. She caught two, the orbs vanished into thin air as soon as they where touched.”That wasn’t it. Umm, uh, maybe that one!” She missed it and caught another one; it vanished to.”Crap! What do I- I got it!”
She created her lance and swung like crazy at the orbs. One, by one they vanished, and still nothing.”Rahh! Where is it?”
The boy jumped in to a tree for a better view.” You’ll never find it! If you do you’ll be the first out of 106!”He yelled from his perch.
Natalya growled at him and continued swing again and again, watching for anything to fall to the ground. This lasted for an hour, dawn was breaking and she was exhausted to the point her swings where randomly aimed. She stopped and rested a moment, leaning over with her hands on her knees. The number of orbs seemed around the amount she started with.
“Give up yet? I’m getting bored.” Yawned Joseph.
“I’m not losing this bet…I’m not!”She said between breaths.
“Suite yourself.” Replied Joseph.
Natalya gripped her lance harder than ever , putting more of her energy into it and making it larger and more powerful than usuall. She made a 130 degree circle, annihilating a large amount of the orbs. Distracted buy the urge to destroy all the orbs, she forgot to look for anything that may have dropped from them. She jumped in the air and slashed rapidly at the orbs, she did a combination of attacks that were almost invisible to the eye. She had destroyed so many in this desperate attempt; she was leaving behind clouds of light particles in the air after she’d attack. The destroyed orbs didn’t have enough time to disappear individually . “Dang…” Said Talon, as he watched her race to in one direction to another, he was seated beside Zaran who looked the same way. Joseph watched silently, seeing he’s chances of winning flying out the door. Now down to the last cluster, she raced after thee and struck them down and darted to her right after a pair. The last was behind her for anymore she may have missed and saw nothing was left.”Talon! …Look for anything that might have dropped!” She yelled. She then collapsed to the ground wiped out from using her lance. It was made of her own energy through her gauntlets and by now she was completely drained. Talon ran to her to assist. By the time he was half way to her, she raised a hand high enough above the tall grass, telling him she was fine . After a moment of searching, he announced his find.”Nothing! Nothings here!” Natalya narrowed her eyes at what Talon had said and struggled to sit up but it was useless.”What!” She yelled weakly, no one acknowledged her quiet voice.
“There’s nothing there because there never was.” Said Joseph as he walked over to where Natalya collapsed. Hands in his pockets he looked over Natalya. She stared back up at him, disgusted that this had all been a trick for his amusement. He sighed a laugh at her countenance.” It was never in one of those orb’s…I had it right here in my pocket the whole time. I told you you would'nt find it.” He pulled out a necklace with a medium sized, golden locket hanging from it.” If I didn’t have this I wouldn’t have been able to stay in bussiness for so long. Although, after seeing that, you really do deserve this. I’ve never seen a single person take out that many orbs, if not all of them.”
He placed the necklace next to her and began walking away.”Later Natalya.”
“Wait, hold on a sec.”
Joseph stopped and walked back to her. She handed him a multi-colored jewel.
“This cost over one hundred grand. Use it wisely, okay?”
“Dang! oh -I mean, thanks.” He then shoved the jewel in his pocket and took off, disappearing from their sight.
Talon over heard what she said the jewel cost and looked down at her disapprovingly.” Why did you give that to a kid?”
“I have more…and he needed it to be able to gamble” She joked. She grasped the golden necklace and dangled it in front of her, admiring her hard earned prize. After she got the locket open,she found a small ,uniquely designed compass inside.

Zaran yawned and woke up from the sleep he had been in while Natalya had been attacking the orbs. "Oh, so you are finally done? Bout time too. So, did you realize that the thing was in the boys pocket or did you actually destoy all those orbs?" Zaran let out another big yawn. "Well, seeing as it took you this long you must not have noticed. Seeing as you were going wild before I fell asleep you probably didnt notice. You shoulda calmed down and you probably would have sensed the energy coming from him. Ehhh, at least you burned some time for my wound to heal." Zaran stood up without grimmacing in pain. "Yup, those herbs and a bit of rest did me some good." Zaran undid his bandaging. All that was left of the wound was a large, slightly swollen scar. "Eh, it still stings a little but Im good to go. Whenever you are ready I suppose. You know how to use that thing anyways?"
“I’m sure will find out” She took a potion and recovered some. “Actually I didn’t know the kid had what we needed, I just lost patience with that challange. Plus, I really didn’t want to lose our stuff.” After searching for the hole they came out of, they eventually found it and dropped back into the cavern.”Are ya sure your okay, Zaran?”
Talon walked up ahead and did his usual sniff in the air. By doing this he was able to find out if any other persons that may have entered the cavern while they were absent.”There’s stirred dust in the air, some one other than us has dropped in.”

"I'll be fine Natalya. It just stings a little." Zaran jumps down in the cavern after the other two. When he lands he dosent grimmace at all. "Yeah, I'll be alright. And we should get moving unless we want whoever else is in here to get to that clue before us. Which way is that strange compass pointing. Maybe it points towards the item we most desire at the momnet."

Natalya looked at the compass, finding the needle spinning uncontrollably. Her eyes widened at the sight, lessons from the past said this was a faulty compass. Suddenly the compass stopped. Then slowly spin to the right, pointing to a wall.
Natalya walked over to the wall and knocked on it. It was just an ordinary wall. She continued knocking till she found a spot of interest. Next to it was a small panel. She slowly reached over and pressed it.
Natalya flinched when she heard a loud click, but nothing happened. Zaran and Talon stared at her with alarmed expressions when they spotted she’d pressed a panel purposely.
Natalya opened her mouth to speak but instead she screamed when the cavern floor crumbled underneath them.
Complete darkness engulfed them, the echo of there voices seemed to last forever and deafened her. She unexpectedly hit what she believed were underground rapids; she was tossed from one side to another, dragged down from the powerful current, only to find the surface every so often only to inhale a breath or two. Darkness was all she could see, and the violently raging water and the faint yells of her comrades was all that was heard.

Zaran thrashed around in the rapids, trying desperatly to keep his head above the water so he could breath. The water was also frigid, making it even more difficult to breath. All of a sudden a dim light appeared farther downriver. The river was starting to slow down and all of a sudden it burst into a large cavern. There were crystals all over the cavern ceiling and walls, each giving off an errie blue glow. Zaran grabed a rock that was near the shore of the river and pulled himself out. He looked around the cavern, shivering due to the cold. "Natalya! Talon! Can you hear me?" Zaran looked around but couldnt see either of the other tow. "Was there a fork in that river that separated us. God I hope not. It could take days to find the others" All of a sudden Zaran heard a faint howl coming from the right. He looked over but could still see no one. "Even though these crystals give off a faint glow I sill cant see that well." Zaran then took out an arrow an lite it into its golden flames. The light bounced off the crysyals and Zaran saw Talon getting out of the water a little farther upstream.
"Talon, are you alright? Wheres Natalya?"
"I don't know. I couldnt see a thing utill I entered this cavern. Hope she didnt get swept farther downstream."
"Well I guess we best go search for her then."
The two started following the river downstream, leting the golden light be their guide. Eventually the came across an underground lake. "Natalya! Natalya!" All of a sudden the golden light shone on a person who was washed up on the shores of the lake. Talon and Zaran ran up to the person to find Natalya. Zaran grabed her and shook her gently. "Natalya, are you alright? Wake-up."

Disoriented, Natalya woke up and coughed a little. She found Zaran and Talon around her looking concerned. “I don’t know what’s worse, following the compass or going though trap ridden tunnels.”
“I don’t think well have it better ether way.” Talon said.
She stood up and shook of the water on her hands.
“Never again am I pressing anything in here.”
They noticed up ahead was a light, and voices of delight chattering ahead. They all seemed to have heard and seen it, and walked towards the light.
“What the heck!?”
“Whats sup? Oh and this pile of treasure will be enough to replace my house and all the stock.”
“Cathleen?!” Natalya yelled in astonishment.
Cathleen was actually happy, (for the first time they've meet her) and contently sitting ontop of a pile of treasure, one of many piles that filled the small cave. A magic flare of fire hovered at the top of the cave reflecting the glittering gold. “Huh, no wonder I couldn’t catch her sent, she fell through- wait? If you fell through why did the floor look the same as before you fell through?”
“It’s a magic based trap. It repairs itself once it has been broken.

OOC: Its good to have you back. I guess I can give you a quick recape on what has happened.
You were last here when Mark was fighting Zaran, and we left it off as Mark giving Zaran a nice slash acrost the chest. So we left the cave so Zaran could heal up, using some special herbs to increase the rate of recovery. A boy named Joseph (or something similar) comes along makes a bet with Natalya, which she wins, and we get a special compass. We go back into the cave and Natalya uses the compass to locate a switch which caused the floor underneath the trio to fall, plunging them into an underground river. At first the three were separated but they found each other and have run into Cathleen once again in a large cavern filled with with gold and treasures located next to an underground lake.
So thats where we are. I hope I explained everything. The bad part is that Blaire and I probably wont be on that often in the coming weeks. Shes attending a cousin or brothers play, and I have to study and prepare for finals. But yeah, thats where we are currently, not much farther.
@ Blaire, if you wanna add anything to my summarry when you make it back you can.

Natalya entered the small cave and weaved her way past the piles of gold and ancient statues. Peering around at the room one statue caught her interest. It was a large statue of seraphim, its stone wings reached from one side of the wall to the other and its face was serene. She also seemed to be holding something close to her. As she slid down the pile of coins she stumbled to the stone angel’s feet and looked at the object in her hands.”What is that?”
Talon found a leather sack filled with jewels coins, and ancient map. He dragged that sucker to the exit and left it there in search of another one.
Cathleen, who was a lot stronger than she looked, hoisted a large sack of the goods and leaned down to pick up a glowing shard of the ground.”Huh, a teleportation stone. Hey I found us a way out!”
“Good well need it.”Natalya replied.
She reached into the Angels hands for the dimly glowing object but it was firmly placed in between the angel’s elegant fingers.
“Tisk, tisk, tisk. Stealin’ from an Angel. “
Natalya and Co. immediately turn to face the new threat. A boy around sixteen in years was standing in the shadows of the entrance.
“And you would be?”
“Name’s Cain….about time you found it. I was beginning to think you’ve given up on this little venture.’
He walked into the flame lit room, his hair was black, thick and spiked up, his skin was grey, and his eyes were just plain white which made Natalya uneasy. Most of all was the huge bat like wings that were folded in on his back. His attire was mainly black with some chains dangling here and there.
“So, were you gonna go now? I mean-- you’re in a freakin hole.”
“As for where we go from here, it’s none of your business.”
“Oh, but it is—you see, I’ve been spying on you for awhile, collecting info on the powers for the Boss. You can relate to that---and if he doesn’t get informed--- I get an ear full and another death threat. ”
“Are you through?” Cathleen interrupted. Talon let out a low growl that hummed through the room, his eyes always Cain.
“Actually no, I wasn’t.”
“Wait who this Boss you’re talking about?”Natalya asked.
Cain snickered a little.
“You haven’t heard of Seth? No matter, you’ll figure out who he is later. Anyways I just got here… and from the looks of that Angel, it seems she holdin’ the next clue. “
“Humph! Don’t even look at it! Take one more step forward and we’ll take you out before you realized it!”
Her pistols were already aimed at Cain, he seemed undeterred by them and almost excited about the though of battle.
“Gonna fight for it? Oh well, your funeral.”

Here I go
"Huff...hufff...hufff," he breathed heavily. "Just shake it off," Mark kept repeating to himself. Finally he stood laid back against a tree. He had been running for some time. Apparently evading any attempt of being followed. He pulled it off. "Three against one... I don't thinks so." He pulled a potion out of his pouch, it was designed to take away fatigue at a faster rate. Soon he was breathing normally. "I have to pick him off alone, or else I might not be able to escape as easily next time." He began a walk back to the spot he last fled. Carefully wathcing if he was being followed or if by any chance he might see them again too not fall into their sight first. He found the hole which he had fled through and jumping down he landed lightly. He searched in his pouch and out of it a pair of plain sunglasses. He put them on and the dark room seem to ignite. He continued walking, small areas emitting heat where either living organisms or something else. He paid no attention. He kept walking...
