Theory: The figure in the Haze

My theory is that the figure is Zexion. In COM we never see him die. Nomura has mentioned something about revealing Zexion's weapon sometime in the future. Therefore KH3 has to be in the past. But if you look at Zexion's grave in TWTNW, the tombstone is broken but there is red and blue aura blocking his weapon ID. In deep dive, there was a countdown, on the number 6 it says something like "ID" "Metamorphisis". Meaning he can transform into other things. Number 6 of the Organization is Zexion.

I doubt it is Zexion in Sunset Horizons, but I've been wondering what ID and Metamorphisis in Deep Dive has meant for a long time, and your theory there would make a lot of sense.

Kingdom Hearts III doesn't have to be set in the past. Sunset Horizons could very easily be a flashback, just like Deep Dive was a flashback from Kingdom Hearts II.

but then i think that sora isn't in this one because i wonder how the hell did he go from his island to that 4 way road place...then i think he has to be in it because that would be a drastic change in the story line...!! ugh im tired of guessing, i'll just wait...

Though this is slightly irrelavent but the scene with the three chasers and the Enigmatic figure is what I read in an interview with Nomura a "scene from the past but what is expected in the furture" (not what he said word from word) so what I interpretted it as that whatever will be repeated meaning the figure and those chasers could be dead (probly not) and the words "birth by sleep" in the teaser/trailer could be something Zexion caused since his power is like a Illusion mysterious type.

the interview did say that one of the characters are related to sora or riku,you noe wt i first thought, that maybe those three ppl in armor are Hayner,Pence, and Ollet, but pence is to fat so thats outa the question. Im trying to figure it out though.

The interview said that the three knights are related to currently existing characters (no more specific). Nomura hasn't revealed any information on the shadowy figure yet.

Do you know in the movie after KHII, it shows the first figure standing on top of some kind of giant thing, that later dissapears when he walks away from it. I think thats one of the new types of monsters that will be seen in KHIII.

Honestly all i can come up with for the Knights is that they are the Heartless forms of the keyblade masters. (like how Xehanorts heartless was in a humanoid form), but this only accounts for 2 cuz mickys heartless form wouldn't look anything like those 3 i bet (so a NEW keyblade master would have to be introduced for this theory to fly)

but this theory does explain why soras and rikus keyblades were on that road. (i swear the 3rd looks like mickys keyblade)

(and as a final note cuz it might be brought up later)
it would make sense that a heartless form of a keyblade master could use a keyblade (even tho if was meant to fight heartless) cuz soras nobody (otherwise known as roxas) could use keyblades.

(and also if there are keyblades attuned to light...shouldnt there be ones attuned to dark aswell?)(ex: rikus keyblade from kh1).

I think it was his nobody or Darkside think about it. In KH1 Sora's was the Darkside and Roxas was the Twilight Thorn so it could be his Heartless or Nobody side (based on if he's a human or Nobody)

the figure is zehonort he is the fourth chaser he had a keyblade and he fought in the keyblade war. after the battle he lost his memory and he had ended up in hollow bastion and then ansem the wise helped him. zehonort studied the hearts with ansem but he went further and he thought he was ansem himself this is where kingdom hearts 1 began and after kh 1 ansem remembered who he was and he went back to get his keblade after kh2 and that is wat mickey says in the letter wat kiari gives to sora with the king emblem on in the end of kh2
