Okay, so in school, we are talking about global warming.
I just wanted to see what everybody else thinks.
One side says that it IS happening and humans are the cause of it.
The other says that it is a natural process and humans did little to affect it.
Perconaly, I am in-between.
I think that we do have some part in making it happen, but we are making too big of a deal out of it, and nothing bad will happen because of it.
Thoughts?

Alright, another Global Warming thread thats all we need. There's already like 4 debates about that hidden in other threads. Anyways, Global Warming is caused by Nature and Humanity. So anything that happens because of humanity will also have a positive or negative effect on the universe. Anything in the universe or the O-Zone will also have another effect on any other planet. So the usual or unusual effects of Global Warming has to do with what decisions we make on our day to day life.

A topic like this usually ends up bad... Trust me I made an exact thread about it lol.
Anyways... I believe in it, then again I don't. :/
I can't really make heads or tails of it, to tell you the truth.

Yeah it usually does, so I'm not arguing with you. Anyways stick to the topic. Thanks.
I believe Global warming is a financial scam. When you think about it A couple of years back, the global threat then was another Ice Age. Even a meteorologist (Forgot his name but he established the weather channel) He even said this.

Well thats a new theory. Since when was this a financial scam exactly?. I know I was talking about it in another Global Warming thread but I wasn't being completely serious about it actually happening.
New products. Forcing companies to create these products which increses the price. New housing restrictions, fuel restrictions. All this costs us a lot of money. Im not saying these things don’t benefit us, its just not a nessesary benefit if its all taken to extremes and based on a lie.

Alright but money increase doesn't really have anything to do with a scam for weather. The only it causes is a negative effect on how healthy our air is.
However as time wears on, there might be a real Global Warming not a fraud nor a scam.
Its the fear of global warming that makes people go to the extremes to prevent it. And yes, we do have to improve on some things to keep things in a resonable condition. However it should'nt be provoked by a scare

However that's just my opinion.
True, that fear leads to chaos and back to the movie "Resident Evil : Extinction" can't really sat apocolypse because the earth is still spinning on it's axis. As long as we keep the earth safe from exploding we'll be fine and live much longer. Yes we also have to have reasonable condition's to live as well as asking ourselves what has to be done first to improve on them. They also had that commercial about planting tree's during Heroes. Thats the other thing we need more trees as well as stop the fires from destroying them. Not to mention the kids starting the fires and destroying houses. The other thing I'm mostly concerned about is not only the space in prisons and jails but the cleanliness of them so there's no virus's being spread amongst the USA.
People's perspective of morality is another fact this generation needs to work on as well.

My beliefs happen to be, that humans are the main cause of Global Warming. Our pollution and continuous destruction of trees and land, etc. Are the main cause.

Well thats pretty much Humanity for you. Morality is just another part of humanistic instincts. The pollution is just a negative/ positive decision that we act upon.

Exactly.
Humanity doesnt know any better than to live it's normal life. Being blind of the fact that most everyday tasks harm the enviorment in SOME way.

well first of all gobal warming may one day destroy the earth and yes i think that humans are the cause of it and that why the polar caps are melting and polar bear and other artic animals are dieing because they can't find land and are drowing.but if humans stpooed to think of what will happen they would stop this buy a hybrid use solar power just like I did a report in sixth grade with my friend vince and in math we watched that algore movie it said that when we are 50 gobal warming will be to high to stop

O_o .......*Beats everyone in the topic over the head with a snow shovel!*
Right then, I suppose I will get started. Firstly, you do know that the southern pole is expanding, right. Well, that is beside the point, although it does right there prove one of the falsehoods of Al Gore's movie. -_- Stupid fraud of a scientist is probably the greatest enemy to any real scientist who have evidence of global warming or a real theory. Well, I digress. The point I wanted to make to everyone is this, I have heard arguments from both sides and often, I have had people say it was one of the warmest winters in history while I was freezing while shoveling up snow, and overall I tend to find that in my life I have seen no actual evidence of it getting progressively warmer in my area.
In fact this last winter was pretty cold. Overall point being that yeah, I am a bit skeptical about global warming, however I am also a bit skeptical when somebody tells me that 2 + 2 = 5. o_o So no, I am not driving a hybrid car, I am not using alternative fuel, and I am not going to stop wearing my coat in the middle of winter when it is snowing out, no matter how much you try and tell me that it is frying outside. I trust what I can see the whole of and is in front of me, whether it be facts or temperatures. Likewise I tend to find that most global warming researched that is published is either false or lacks some important details, like showing two pictures of an iceberg at different time periods but forgetting to say one is in the middle of the winter and the other is during August. O_o
So yeah......I disagree.
Although things like the prevention of deforestation in Africa and South America, the protection of the coral reefs in Australia and the prevention on the extinction of species due to chemicals used for farming are still viable efforts which should be taken....instead of all this global warming trash.

if we let global warmining continue ( which everyone in the world will do cause ppl do not care) it will destroy what we call earth today
if we do no try to do whats good because we are not suffering from it
our children or our children's children will suffer from our mistakes..

I was just reading this topic and thought about radio active objects. It may sound random but some things are bad for us when we use some things too long. Then it has a bad effect on us. It could be the same for Global Warming if thought in the right state of mind I believe.

Personally i think we have to save our planet man (smokes a stick). But then again if our planet dies and we die the only thing that happens is that the aliens lose one test subject

We were doing research and I found...
It was this warm 2000 years ago, and nothing big happend.
We were even in a little ice age as much as 150 years ago.
Of the 186 billion tons of CO2 (carbon dioxide) that enters the Earth's atmosphere, only 6 billion comes from humans.
