Do u think we have to fight riku?

i was watching some videos today on youtube and i watched the video in kh2fm with riku and roxas when they fight. and then i thought do u think we need to fight riku in 358/2 days? i mean this between the events of CoM and kh2 and it was when sora was still asleep in the pod and when roxas was still in the organization. im not exactly sure how this would work since roxas and riku both have a win over eachother, but i think it would make sense to have a riku battle in 358/2 days.

Very possible. There is a scene where Riku fought Roxas. But I think that will be near or the final battle already. Of course, there might be earlier battles.

i'd like to fight riku again, but it definitely won't be the same as fighting him when we controlled sora.. their friendship made it a tough battle, and besides you know that roxas has to lose

it would be cool to fight riku, but like it was said, it might be closer to the end of the game seeing that that fight happens before roxas is put it the fake twilight town. so from that that might be the end of the game since we already know what happens after that. or at least most of what happened after that.

yea...either way, it would be a bit of a bitter sweet fight b/c on one hand we get to fight riku with roxas but then on the other hand we already know how its gonna end. I know that's a bit negative but hey, it would still be cool.

well im sure the scene with riku and roxas will have alot to do with 358/2 days, but we wont know until it comes out

I personally think the last fight of the game for Roxas will be against Riku. They could even give him two forms for the final battle, regular wielding the oathkeeper and when he changes to become Ansem (Xehanort's heartless).

yea...they'd probably have you fight the first form and just have the next form as the flash-back we saw in kh2 with ansem-form vs roxas and then some other insight to what happened when roxas was being put into the virtual twilight town.

I think they would have you actually fight and beat the form when Riku changes into Ansem. After the fight it would simply show a cutscene of Roxas losing the battle and then roll credits.

But in FM it shows Riku defeacting Roxas extreamly Fast in his Ansem Xehonart form... so how, if there is a battle it would probably be against Rikus first form, with the second form as an unbeatable boss or something...

Here is a quote I got from another forum but it might anwser some peoples questions. Also feel free to post and ask questions yourself so I can gradually add to this thread making it a real FAQ.

358/2 days doesn't take place after CoM technically, it takes place from Roxas' creation, to his joining of Organization XIII, into during the events of CoM, and then finally up to when he leaves the Organization to find who he is, and eventually being captured by Ansem the Wise and being placed in the digitized Twilight Town.

Multiplayer:

So, a good portion of the game is before Chains of Memories, either way I believe the Multiplayer aspect of the game isn't necessarily supposed to reflect what's going on in the Single Player storyline, so even if they are dead, the Multiplayer aspect may canonically be taking place before they died


2. Characters that can't be used:

Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia and Larxene. Remember I said 358 days took before and through CoM so it would make theses characters not playable and Noruma might have already announced it.

3. Can you play with the other characters:

Yes but only on multiplayer as I'm awhere of. On single player roxas is the only available character to play. Also during multiplayer you can have up 2-4 people playing. Also so far we can only play as Saix, Xigbar, Roxas, and Axel but Noruma wants to incorperate them all.

4. Why is 358/2 called that:

Well we can't understand the true meaning until the end of the game but I have an idea. Ok 358/2=179-28=151 Ok possibly the 28 could have been the days in which sora was in castle oblivion so subtract that it =151. Well roxas new in 151 days he would transform back into sora if you know what I mean. Also there is another 151 days for which sora was in the little memory thing.

Well I also have another theory about this. We know sora went to sleep for a year so 358+7=365. Well you ask me where did I get the 7 well we played with roxas for 7 days. The 358 days could be how long roxas was in the organization.

5. The console:

Well if you didn't know which is surprising 358 days is on a hand held, the DS to be exact. I'm looking forward to the gameplay on this game because it is going to incorperate the touch stick.

6. The 14th member of the Organization:

You can find a picture of her in one of the screenshots. Noruma has confirmed she is a girl. He has also confirmed it is not Namine. Some people might say it is aqua but I think it is a totally new character. Remember to be in the Organization you must be a nobody and you must have a X in your name, Aqua applies to neither of them. I have a pretty good idea that it is a new character and I have plenty of reason to believe so and you should too.

Brief descriptions of the scans and 358 days in general:

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
- The full meaning behind the title can only be understood once you complete the game.
- The first idea that came from this game was to show the daily life of the Organization.
- This is based off of after Roxas entered Organization XIII, this game will also revolve around the one year when Sora is asleep. (A direct sequel to COM basically)
- Roxas has doubt, and begins to believe if it's better to leave the Organization or not.
- The scan says that the 14th member is not Namine, however IS a key character to the story.
- You will still be going through Disney Worlds
- Roxas vs Riku will be in the game!
- There is a system that allows you to see the memories of Sora.
- Multiplayer mode is not related at all to the story.
- ALL XIII MEMBERS can be used in Multiplayer mode.
- Every member has a unique style of gameplay, also once you defeat the boss you can replay the mission again as much as you want to. There are different missions for each character.
- You can draw for fun in the second screen.
- Everytime you complete a mission, one of the Organization chairs raise a bit higher.

You will almost certainly fight Riku as one of the last battles of the game.

Of course, I think in all but KH2 you fight Riku as one of the last battles of the game.

I'd say he is the final boss, first you have to beat him while he still in his own body and then again after he turned in to Xehanort's heartless, but even though you beat him, the cutscreen will carry on with the battle and show Roxas losing then being taken to Twilight Town just before KH2 starts.

I'm absolutley sure that you do have to fight Riku in 358/2 Days. I mean, the game explains Roxas' life in the Organization, and explains what happened to him. They definetley have to have a fight with him versus Riku; it wouldn't make sense to not have it. That's like having a candle with no matches.

Don't any of you remember?? There were two battles between Roxas and Riku. So we probably are going to fight Riku. The first Roxas will win and the second (which is probably at the end of the game) Riku will win

It does make the most sense because 358/2 days is during CoM and Roxas and Riku fight in the secret ending of KH:Final Mix. So yes you will probably have to fight Riku.

I don't think KH'Days will a have a playable battle against Riku
in the Deep Dive event, but Riku did say that he fought Roxas
twice and lost the first battle, so I think since that fight has
yet to be explored, it might be a playable battle in KH'Days,
wherever and whenever it took place.
