i dont think she controled the power of darkness at that time so there wouldnt be any heartless

well she already had dark powers, but maybe being able to control heartless wasnt known to her at that time, or there wasnt really enough heartless around in general.

I would imagine her being present in BBS. Mostly because Disney characters (seemingly) exist forever in the game. And it's *only* ten years. xD

I can imagine her having a big role in BBS. Mostly in the Snow White world, though, of course.

Well first BBS is 10 years in the past, so u would have to really have a disney story in the past to reflect it, as only som worlds do. As far as maleficent goes her role has to do with sleeping beauty not snow white. Snow white had that old wicked queen, not maleficent.

Considering Sleeping Beauty was like the first Disney movie ever made, is it hard to believe that they have a storyline set in the past. And since they have to tie-in Maleficent to the story somehow, of course she is present in the past events. And there are alledgedly no heartless in that time period, even though the first enemies seen look like they would be heartless.
