The graphics for final fantasy VIII were pretty good and still are (considering it was on the PS1).
Its perfect the way it is.

eh, i didn't really like ff8. it's not a bad game, but not my favorite by far. when i heard people saying this 'was the love story for the final fantasy games' i thought that was a lie.. 10's romantic plot was much more subtle and i liked tidus and yuna farrrrr more than squall and rinoa.. the game's whole plot really didn't keep me very interested

Yes, unfortunately you had to wait until you got to partway through Disk 3 before you got to anything that wanted to make you complete the game. They could've stopped the game after Disk 2 if they'd wanted, but they continued it for 2 more disks lol. Loved the card game though.

I agree. It's got to be the best part in the whole game! The card game was really addictive, I had a big collection of them. Since I played it literally non-stop, the music eventually did my head in..And some of the rules annoyed me...like with Edea to get the Seifer(?) card, it was randomly picked, so I had to sell all my rubbish cards to make sure I won the match. But anyway, I don't think there should be a remake. It doesn't need one.

sorry riku i dont remmber the sites exact name but its like final fantasy compendium or something like tht, it tells u the inside story of every character. summon etc..very resourceful.:D

FFVIII was a good game but the junction system took away my excitement, and the main enemy wasnt in my opinion that evil. I wish they would had kept the materia system. but it is a good game like i said, but FF7 was a all around better game.

Really? Squall is one my favorite characters. As for the topic, I'd love one, but onyl if they left everythign the way it was and added only better graphics, and MAYBE voice-acting.

Actually, FF8 suck in my opinion and therefore should not have a remake...

Squall was the only character I'm interested in, Laguna sucks so much I don't know why he was created in the first place.

The rest of the characters are so boring, and FF8 wasn't even a proper FF because no MP gauge and a stupid Junction system.

So I rather have SE make a FF6 remake, FF7 remake or a FF9 remake, them three highly deserve it.

The only 'Final Fantasy' games I want in a re-make are FFIII (American Version), FFVII and FFVIII. All three of those 'Final Fantasies' would have magnificent re-makes.

American Final Fantasy III is Final Fantasy VI for those who don't know. I think there is a remake being done for PSP or DS, can't remember which.

idk...i think that it would be cool in all if they were to make a remake of FFVIII because honestly i think the story in that game competes for one of the best in the series.....but like riku said.......it would be cool in all but there isnt really a big need to.

There's never a big need for a re-make for any game, unless they are money hungry. And apparently they are. Or they would leave them were they're at. They know if they re-make VII it will bring in a pretty hefty sum of money.

One again going off-subject. There was a project called Chrono Trigger Resurrection that was cancelled. The project was to create an entirely 3D version of Chrono Trigger, but the project wasn't by Square-Enix, which is why it was cancelled. I doubt Square-Enix will do remakes of Chrono Cross or Chrono Trigger.

i liked ffv111 even though i couldn't get through the first DAMN disk w/o it freezing up at the dancing scene. Also i sucked badly at the card game lol only time i won was with the cafeteria worker :p

I like FFVIII as it is. I think the game is brilliant in it's original form, so I think a remake would totally ruin the whole thing.
