Over 10 Million Kingdom Hearts Series Units Sold

The latest news on all of the Kingdom Hearts related sites is that there's been a Press Release about the fact that over 10 Million units have now been sold. I'll make this site no exception:

Square-Enix with Buena Vista announced today that the Kingdom Hearts series has shipped a combined total of more than 10 million units worldwide. This has boosted its status as one of the top game series in the world.

"When we first started developing KINGDOM HEARTS, we never imagined we would pass the 10 million mark so quickly. We are delighted and extremely grateful for the support from our fans around the globe. We hope to continue to provide games which fulfill your anticipation in the future." - Shinji Hashimoto, Kingdom Hearts Series Producer.

Kingdom Hearts
Japan: 1.5 million
North America: 3.0 million
Europe: 1.1 million

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Japan: 0.4 million
North America: 0.9 million
Europe: 0.2 million

Kingdom Hearts II
Japan: 1.1 million
North America: 1.7 million
Europe: 0.7 million

The numbers sold of Kingdom Hearts 2 doesn't surprise me. It was that good of a game.

The Press Release was originally made with the rest of the world in mind. If I remember correctly, it was about 400,000 units in total around the rest of the world.
