The basic fundamental cornerstone of racism is that one person of a certain majority (race, group, clique) puts themselves above another.

In one sentence, that's basically it.

So yes it will always be there because of pride. Take away pride and ignorance and racism will almost completely disappear

Yeah Racism is gonna be here for a well, but i learn to just look past it.

But Racism is somtimes in your own race. Example..see i'm a young black 18 year old boy and i live in detroit..on one of the bad sides of detroit and most people see young black man as thungs, gangters, theifs and just plain bad teens...and when your own race sees how bad there race is at times, it's crazy. Like when i walk down the street to the store policeman be lookin at me...old woman give me the mean look, and when i walk into stores like..beauty supply stores..the employees stare me down or follow me..in a sneaky way. So yeah i see Racism everyday.

I live in the mid south (pretty close to where the tornadoes hit last night. One touched literally down one of the major roads. I got pissed that my school still had power today)

I see black people all the time and sometimes it's hard not to think of some of them as gangsters when I walk through the halls and hear a lot of them talk/act/rape each other like gangsters (ok so maybe the rape is a little too far but if you've seen what I've seen, I'm just glad that they were wearing clothes)

I do have a few black friends though. They're cool.

Axizol's right, Racism is everywhere you go and I'm pretty sure everyone has it in their minds whether they know it or not. It's one of those positive and negative things to have in life that you can't live without. Racism makes up a person by personality and how they make their decisions. It changes the way a person thinks completely so no one is the same.

No that just means people are so worried about people blowing up a part of a popular transportation area. Not to mention that people have gotten extremely low in pretty much all views when they try to do something like a bomb, or gas, etc.
I'm sure you get the point I'm making though. Security guards mainly look at skin color and age. They think just because people look arab,jap,chinese,korean,etc it gives them more advantage on how to catch them and all they are doing is making a mistake at least 99% of the time. I mean that 1% might be correct but it's usually WHITE people doing the crime.

Well I am not racists and I don't mind having friends that are not white. But I hate to say it there always seems to be a little part of me that still thinks like a racist. It is like a involuntary response.

I am sure you know what I am talking about and I believe even some of you experience the same thing.

Now I don't like feeling this feeling and I try my best to cover it up but their seems to be a part of brain that still thinks it.

This is not saying I don't have friends of different color. I think it ties into the way the person acts that triggers the feeling. Even though I am White there are things people of my own race do that I can't stand either.

So I believe all we can do is our very best to get along with everyone since racism will always be around.

Truthfully, racism is stupid and I wish we could evolve it out of our lives. That would help lead to more peace I believe.

True that. In my area, it's the white people that get the most racial abuse. Nobody says anything to other races because of all the uproar it causes. But it's okay for white people to be abused. Well that's the impression I get as nothing is done to tackle it. It's becoming a big problem. I'm not a racist, but I've experienced it. College is as bad as it can get. White people are the minority where I live, but every other month there's fighting due to racist behaviour between the white boys and the Asian boys. I just wonder how worse it can get.

No offenses to races or anything but if you seem to notice in school the most is in the cafeteria where what else, you see all the different races of people seem to cluster together and sit with each other.

I mean yea you see whites, blacks, etc... sit with each other two but you see more of them sitting within their own group. I wonder if it is something that just makes people feel comfortable?

Racism is something that I've experienced many times, not only because I'm white, and I live in a very multi-cultured place (the majority of people who live in Croydon are black and arab/asian, and the white people are complete imbeciles who try and act gangster/ghetto/whatever) but because of my brothers (who are mixed race, black father and my mum, who's also white). o___o

Thats not Racism that is a Stereotype...And Stereotype's are there for a reason. I mean ya that guy walking down the street might be a nice man but he might now be. I mean its known that people who dress like that tend to be Trouble Makers(and don't go off about how you know someone who dresses like that and is nice).
