Dragon quest 8: The journey of the cursed king

I picked this game up in january of this year to pass the time b4 ffxii and its awesome,also made very well and i think its a great rpg from Square-enix. does anyone feel the same way

I've been wanting to play it for awhile, and after playing Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle I've been really looking forward to doing so. I'll get it soon lol.

god, i love this game i picked up in january too and i haven't been able to stop playing it (well apart from kingdom hearts 2) and i really cannot recomend it highly enough....

Worth playing. Some of it was insane, both in terms of random bursts of difficulty and in, well, sanity. I asked for (and recieved) it because it was an RPG and was designed a lot by by Akira Toriyama. Haven't played it since the stupid game froze every single time I beat it during parts of the final battle or early iun the ending fmv. If your idea of a cool game is freakish enemies and a major twist/twisted ending, this game is highly suggested. Otherwise, just borrow it, it's too long to rent for the most part.

I own DQ8 and thought thru to the end of the MAIN story is pretty good. The sole reason i don't reccomend it iz coz it take FOREVER (And boy do i mean 4eva!) to train. I really can not be bothered training for the last dungeon, even if u train at wateva it's called hill lol.

I've just started to play and I'm happy that it takes awhile to level up because that's the way I like my RPGs. The DQ series is a real RPG series. It has all the elements. You pick what the main character is named and he never talks. It's like you are him.

Ya but it gets REALLY annoying later in the game. lol ironically i like it the other way, where they hve a personality (like in final fantasys).

I love the game and it was left as a turn based RPG because the hardcore fans would revolt. I never had any problems with the game and I loved that the story came first and side quests worked seemlessly into the story. I say buy it, love it, and play the hell out of it.

I loved the cell shaded look the most, it was new and something that made it feel different from the others.

Highly recommended.

The Dragovian Trials are a major challenge too. I still havent completed them yet.
