Psych One: Rebellion

Story:
The year was 2012. For the previous five years, government scientist have been studying ways to make better warriors, and creating new abilities. After many trial-and-error situations, they succeeded. Not knowing what to call these new powers, they simply named the gifted 'Psychics'. Unable to keep decent control on test subjects has made it so they cannot add these new abilities to the military. Dozens of projects and test subjects exist, and are organized into classes by thier powers and strength. The subjects, however, could not be given specific powers, but awaken their own, their powers created by the soul.

Four of the subjects dissapeared one year previous, and the government could not keep accurate reads on their strengths. The Classes of these four are unknown to all but themselves. Three of the four stayed together, and one is missing from them, Marcus Echo.

Soon after the dissaperances of the four, the government was suprised when what is known as Class Zeros, wild and natural born, psychics began to emerge, not knowing the power they held.

They reached out, capturing many class zeros, but more continue to emerge. Now, the government is giving all who are found with psychic powers two options: Surrender or Die. The same goes for any found associating with the Four Missing, who are now called the Deserters.

Finally tired of the trouble that Marcus, Zagroy, Xelt, and Anlei, the four Deserters, were causing for them, they sent their top agent, Xairin, to find and capture them. After his failure, Xairin returned to HQ, and was confronted by Nexus, the leader of the Psychic Division. Here, Xairin was beleived to kill Nexus, and become that much more powerful.

Marcus, too, had grown considerably in power, movinf from fire to heat to time. Watching this, Xelt had learned that powers were not stable, but an ever changing thing. More growths began to happen within their small group, which now held two new members, Zeth, a master of sound, and Jace, a master of disguise.

Another titanic battle sounded between Marcus and Xairin, which ended in the final growth of Marcus, control on time. Miles of desert became even more of a desolate wasteland in this battle, and both combatants dropped in exaustion... until Xairin pulled his trump.

He was a result of a governmental experiment, that amplified psionic powers hundreds fold by inserting another Ai being inside them. Xelt distracted the new 'Demon' Xairin, and ended up in the capture of Xelt. Marcus lay unconscious in the wasteland...

After learning of the battle with Marcus and capture of Xelt, Zagroy set out, leaving Anlei in the care of Zeth and Jace. Although he did break Xelt out of his holding, the terrable truth was revieled: One of the Ai beings had been inserted with Xelt.

All seemed to come to a spiraling fall, until Marek, the brother of Xairin showed, pulling Zagroy and Xelt out of a certain catastrophy. Marcus, whose body was unknown, had learned another power, Astral projection. Soon, Marek recovered Marcus's body, and he was able to return to himself.

When Drakon, the Ai within Xelt emerged, another battle took place, both mentally, and physically, which ended in the seperation of Xelt and Drakon, who obtained his own body.

They tried the same stratigy with Xairin at the next battle with him, but Xairin had bonded with his Ai to the point where sereation was impossable... and Marek told the small group of the only way that Xairin could die. They were brothers, and their lifeforces were connected. Neither could die alone.

Knowing with the Ai, Xairin could not be defeated, Xelt and Marcus combined powers, traveling back in time, Marcus's astral form within Xelt, their powers allowing them to come to the point where Xairin was to recieve his Ai. Zagroy and Zeth fought with Xairin, to distract him from the final plan.

Xairin of the current time followed them there, and there was a battle greater than any other between Xelt/Marcus and Xairin. It seemed hopeless until Xelt from another time period brought Marek from the time of the 'demon' xairin, where as only with the sacrifice of Marek, was Xairin finally defeated.

Weeks passed, before Xelt/Marcus returned to Anlei and Zagroy, Zeth and Jace.

Still, a familiar voice called out to Xelt and Marcus...

Marek was still alive.

Ten years later, Xelt and Marcus stand at the head of an anti-government organization known as Angel Fall, dedicated to freeing wildborn psychics fromt eh opression the government has caused. Now leading the Governmental forces is Zagroy, who has been taken into a power-hungry mode and possessed by Nexus, the same ghost who had taken over Xairin. Marik readily fights alongside Angel Fall.

Now, there are only two choices for the people in the psychic world: Fight or serve?

High in the sky, above the rest of the world, a single man looked down. At the top of the Goverment's top headquarters, that man laughed. "Blood Type: O. The perfect blood. All I need now..."

Xelt growled, "C'mon..." Marcus scoffed, and folded his arms. "C'mon! C'mon!" Marcus just sighed, and stared at Xelt.

The boots lace up in the front and are completed with side straps. Underneath his jacket, he sports a green t-shirt overtop a long sleeved black and white shirt.

Speech: Jace has a low, deepened voice that is usually kept at a soft, serious level.
Likes: He enjoys spending his free time experimenting with electronics and riding his hoverboard. Whilst silently dreaming of another life…
Dislikes: If there is one thing that Jace is livid about, it’s the fact that he is held a prisoner in his own confined life.
Strengths: When it comes to mind tricks and agility, Jace is quicker than you’d expect.
Weaknesses: His honesty and pure sense of the world often finds him in strange predicaments.
History: Being raised into a government-droid was not Jaceqix’s idea of an ideal life. However, ever since his estranged family had abandoned him, it became the young man’s only choice.
It had been a long time since Jace last came upon that group of them...the people who changed his life forever and gave him a new perspective on the world. Now, having traveled city to city he hears about a strange group forming. One that sounds oddly familiar...

"Xelt, Anlei. Relax. This is him, and he is on our side. We have been in contact for a few months now." The pyro man stood and grabbed a bag of chocolates from the now-broken vending machine. Poping one of the pieces into his mouth, he chewed it slowly. "Marek, could you not make such a scene? We are in a mall. Security is going to be here soon. Now, let us go."

Xelt rolled his eyes, "Yeah, whatever." He lowered his guard, and turned away. "Where to next?"

"Well since you lot completely ruined the vending machine, I suggest out of the mall". Anlei said sighing stepping away from the wall and took a couple of sweet bags from the broken vending machine throwing one at Xelt. "These will at least keep you quiet for a few minutes". She smirked stuffing the other packets into her jacket for when he got hungry again. "Come on grumpy". She teased smiling at Marcus and started walking away from where they was stood.

Marek shook his head. Then he was gone. a thin mist of water followed them, completely invisible in the mall.
Marcus, we must talk. alone. the voice in marcus's head spoke tensely and seriously.

The old dojo. I'll be there in an hour. Marcus responded, then set off after Anlei. "Where do you get off with calling me grumpy, Kid?"

"Your too boring, its like there is always a black cloud over you". Anlei said slowing down for him to catch up and looked over her shoulder at him removing the eye phone out of her ear. "Why didn’t you tell us about Marek...".

The mist slowly thickened into a human form, walking beside anlei. "Because I told him not to tell you." Marek said. "There was..." He stopped, searching for the right words. "I just had to keep you all safe."

Xelt rolled his eyes, "Haven't you learned that we can proterct ourselves?" He sighed, "Whatever." He opened the bag and started eating more food. Xelt forze in mid-chomp. "Security...seven'o clock."

Marek shook his head. "Those aren't security. But they are looking for us." The men in security uniforms pointed to the group and started running. Mareks face went white. "Run." He whispered to xelt. "Run and don't look back."

Xelt and Marcus turned towards the group, speaking at the same time, "Not a chance!" The two took up their stances, ready to fight to the bitter end.

suddenly a strange energy pulsed through the area. The air rippled around them, swirling as they were teleported to a far off place... a desolate ice field. They couldn't move. they couldn't speak. they couldn't breathe. they could barely think. they were trapped, trapped in a psychic attack so powerful even the legendary Xelt and marcus couldn't resist it. The "security gaurds" began to walk toward them, now being revealed as mysterious warrior wearing white cloaks. They strode forward, not in a hurry, knowing they had all the time in the world, and more.

Xelt growled...or tried to. Marcus felt the heat rise around him, but it seemed to falter at freezing point.

Marcus's mind whorled. There must be an escape, must be a way out. His body was stoped, but his mind.... Suddenly, his body stopped standing of his own free will, and his mind broke free, floating to Xelt. He hopped in Xelt's head.

The dark figure went between them. "Dont do it." He whispered into Xelts ear. "They'll catch you." then he was gone. The three men in white cloaks kept walking lazily toward them, they hadnt seen the dark hooded figure. Marek cringed, struggling to get the strength to send a psychic message.

Suddenly the area around them began to shimmer. "Guys, i've figured out why we cant move or use our powers here... we're inside their minds. They control everything here. we need to get out."

Xelt roared, feeling the area around him shutter. He broke free easily, channeling powerful flames and lightning around his body. "That wasn't so hard, now was it?" He smirked, his eyes flashing between Xelt's and Marcus' eyes.

They were back in the mall, the security gaurds were gone. "Whew..." Marek said. "Who were those guys?"

Xelt picked up Marcus with his mind, "Time Burst, NOW!" Everything stopped ion an explosion of heat, and Xelt rushed out. Marek, I know you can hold your own in this.

Marcus coughed, "Oh yeah, and...we raised an army of psychics, started a huge underground movement, and we're planning to overthrow the government."

Marek smiled. "Well, that is EXACTLY what I have been doing. My men are on the other side of the nation, fighting them from there. I left them under the command of a... trusted warrior. ever heard of Tiger's eye?"

"The thing Tiger's use to see, yeah of course". Anlei replied sarcasticly sitting down on the floor with her legs and arms crossed in a mood.
They couldnt even go to the mall without getting into trouble, she didnt like the usual at all. "Tell us what it is then". She snapped looking up at Marek.

"Eye of the Tiger. A gemstone, orange and black in color. It's said to look like a tiger's eye. Also, it's the name of a song." Xelt closed his eyes. "Can't remember the band name. Never liked it. It was on one of those ancient Rocky films, no?" He opened his eyes to see everyone staring at him. "What?"

"You all talk to much." Marcus said, shaking his head and walking out of the room. He stopped at the door. "You guys can handle it from here, for a bit, right? I got somewhere I have to be." Marcus did not bother to wait for an answer, but teleported off.

Deep in the forest, Marcus re-appeared, and gave a shrill whistle. A cloaked man came out of the brushes, and Marcus smirked. "Well, what is it? What have you found out?"

The cloaked man threw back his hood. It was Zeth, who had been gone for a year or so, infiltrating the government.

"I'll tell you later. Right now, I need some food..."

"Tigers eye is in fact a gem. It is a legendary gemstone said to dramatically highten the psychic abilities and powers of whoever holds it.... up to just a few months ago it was just a legend. But now..." Marek smiled. "I think I know where it is."

"So...it makes you stronger?". Anlei asked suddenly becoming very interested about the Tiger eye and quickly jumped up standing in front of Marek her hands crossed be hind her back rocking on her heels. "And where could we find this Gem?".

"Your talking now, bro." Marcus said, his face going into a frown. Zeth only laughed, and shook his head.

"Always so stubborn."

"You know it."

Zeth heaved a great sigh, then scratched the back of his head. "Zagroy found some Tiger's Eye, or that is what they are saying. For some reason, he has also been collecting his powers like crazy. He is at three hundred different of kinds of powers, your own fire included. I was not sure that your Time has been reached yet, but I doubt it. Anyways, one of themm recognized me after all my time in there, and I had to get out."

"Tiger's eye? Marek was talking about that."

"Some shiney rock that amplifies the output of psionic energies within the wealder."

"Careful, Zeth, you are begining to sound like Xelt with your words. C'mon, lets go get you something to eat. The city is only about a five mile walk. No teleporting, we might have trace-hunters all over us."

Techno beats blasted from the dark-haired kid’s purple headphones. His sharp blue eyes scanned the premises as he walked down the street, hoverboard tucked under his arm.
He was almost there, just about a block and a half to go. The construction site was in view down the way now.
The place was absolutely perfect for boarding: long slopes of steel, misplaced pipelines, and a tall, unfinished building outline. Sure, it was illegal. But it was a heck of a lot of fun.
“Hey, you!”
He froze, hearing the assaulter perfectly through his throbbing music. There was a decent pack of them around the corner bend.
“With the hoverboard, freeze!”
He looked down at the sleek, black board under his arm. Oh, great. It must’ve given away his intentions. Seeing as they didn’t quite catch him last time, the authorities were out for revenge.
Immediately, the kid’s appearance began to melt into a different identity. His dark hair changed to a rough, dark reddish tone; it was as if someone has poured a vat of coloring on his hair. And his piercing blue eyes flicked to a tawny, light brown. He was running now - aimlessly, he realized – and laughing at the uniformed men as they attempted to keep up with him.
“I knew it!”
”He is one of them!”
“Hurry!”
The voices were fading now as trees began to appear all around him. He now had to watch his step over various rocks and fallen tree branches.
Finally, feeling safe, he slowed to a stop. The now scarlet-haired kid looked around with his suddenly brown eyes as he caught his breath. The fresh air was deep, and the sound of the wind filled the air. He’d managed to run farther than he though, and was now deep into the forest.
Suddenly, his head snapped up. The sound of faint voices startled him – someone else was close by.

"Why does he always vanish...she much for always staying together".Anlei muttered under her breath folding her arms again and walked to the back of a tree leaning against it so she was out of sight from Xelt and Marek. The fact Marcus kept disappearing without a word to them hurt her a lot. Since Zagory was now against them she wanted no one to leave there side. But she couldn’t blame Zag for being a traitor, she would do the same if someone offered her power.

The sound of movement made her suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts and become alert and with her eyes wide open she crept silently through the threes crouching down behind a large oak her eyes focused on the back of the head of the figure.

With a quick burst of energy Anlei jumped out at the man crashing down onto the floor .

Marcus walked with an angry aura about him, it was how he kept things mostly so people left him alone. Only Xelt, Anlei, Zagroy, and Zeth had ever been immune to his grumpy attitude. Zeth bounced about Marcus randomly, his step quickened by the thought of food. One person caught his eye, but Marcus kept moving. Zeth stopped and took a good, long look at her before following Marcus.

While still searching around, a person passed by her that caught her eye. She was about to ask where a place to eat was, but he just walked right past her. Another person was with him though, and stopped. I'll just ask this guy. "Um...hi. I'm looking for a place to eat around here...do you know anywhere thats decent?" She asked the man. Her stomach rumbled. Gosh, I'm starving....

Meanwhile, Xelt was doing some scouting of his own. High above the city, Xelt was looking down. He scanned the world carefully. Someone jumped up from the ledge behind him.

"Yo, Dyce." Xelt called back.

The blonde haired man nodded, "Xelt."

Xelt turned around. "Glad you could make it. I need you to do something." He handed Dyce a peice of paper.

Dysidia Wyvern's eyes widened. "You...want me to do what!?"

"Just do it." Xelt looked back. "I'm dying anyway. The Gene Splicing they did on me is unraveling, My headaches are getting worse, and I can feel myself shutting down at times."

"Alright then...I'll...try. It'll take me afew days to gather materials." Xelt nodded to this, "Alright then. I'll contact you."

Xelt nodded again. "Thanks." He closed his eyes, and jumped off the building.

Before Jace could even react he was flat on his back, down against the damp forest floor. He could clearly feel the force of a figure on top of him and was struggling to fight it off.
He grunted as he managed to shove a pair of hands out of his eyes and looked up.
When he saw her face, however, he stoped completely. Jace's hair and eye color morphed instantly back to it's natural formation; his hair became darker and more brown toned while his eyes became more clear and bright.
He stared up at the familiar figure with his sharp features, simply too stunned to do anything else.

Anlei stared down at the figure under her and blinked a couple of times surprised to see someone she thought she would never see again. It took her what seemed hours to come to terms to who she was under her, but soon a large grin appeared onto her face.
"Jace!". The blonde shouted over excited and clapped her hands hugging him tightly like she never wanted to let go.

"An -oof!" Her clasp around him was full of a surprising strength that Jace hadn't quite remembered. She beamed at him as he struggled up to a sitting position. With a short laugh of disbelief, he continued to look at her.
"Anlei."
Her name came to him instantly, like they had never spent any time apart.

"So you remember after all these years". She said sounding very pleased and smiled at him and pushed her blonde hair behind her ears.
She smiled and hugged him again this time not as hard, "Where have you been all this time, you have missed so much". Anlei said quietly almost like a whisper since her head was on his shoulder. Her eyes began to water with tears of joy as she held on tighter.

Xelt appeared behind Anlei, smiling. "Well, well..." He couldn't resist a laugh, "Anlei, I'd let him go. You're going to pop his head of if you squeeze any tighter." The man's hand moved a whisp of hair from his face, and he smirked. "Besides, Marcus should be back soon, and Jace needs to be alive to see him again."

"Actually, Marcus and I were just heading to get some food! Why don't you come with us?" The brown haired man said, then held out a hand. "Zeth Yukimora."

With sudden shock, zeth looked around and sighed. "Now where did he go? He never waits... geez..."


Marcus was far ahead, he had seen Zeth stop, but decided to let his friend relax. Marcus did not need him as was. A quick flicker and Marcus was gone, standing high upon a sky scrapper, overlooking the city down below.

So much had changed since Angel Fall was made. Anlei and Xelt were happy with each other, Zagroy had abandoned them, and Zeth was always doing something. Marcus felt so alone. He had always been the strongest one in the group emotionally, but after nearly twenty years since he had met everyone, it all added up inside him. The ebon-haired man felt as if he were to burst... almost as if he was...

Sheepishly, Anlei pulled away, giving Jace just enough room to get up.
Jace laughed, struggling to his feet as he managed to shake Zeth's hand in reply.
"Hello," he notioned, nodding politely. As he turned to face Xelt a smile broke out on his face, "Good to see you."

Xelt nodded, "And you." He coughed slightly, "So...how have you been all these years?" He probably knew the answer.

"Hi...im kinda new around here.....sure i'll join you! Well...if its not a problem...Your friend over there was a bit...well....I don't know...um...angry at something. Is it my fault?" Shaking hands with this man called Zeth, Misuzu replied, "Oh, almost forgot. My name is Misuzu Kamio, and I'm trying to figure out my past!" She grinned. "Wit a second, she asked, where did he just go? I thought I just saw him.."

Anlei dusted herself off getting the marks off her pants that she got when jumping out on Jace.
She looked over to Zeth and smiled and within a few minutes she had her arms around him greeting him as she normally did with anyone she was close to.
Through all the years she had been with them that’s how she had always greeted her friends never willing to give up this tradition.

"Anlei, let's show Jace Angel Fall." Xelt leaned against one of the trees, and smiled, "He might want to join. Maybe he could help in spying and such."

After ten years, Xelt hadn't changed much, other than his height and weight. He wasn't much smarter (he was a brilliant to begin with), and he was still quick to act and not so quick to think. It was just who he was.

Marek walked into the restaurant. "I'll have TWO of everything on the menu." He sat down across the table from Xelt. "And I can pay for it." He eyed xelt playfully. "Think you can eat more than that xelt?"

Misuzu watched the two in confusion. "Wow...I never knew how much a guy can eat." She said with a giggle in her tone. "Ummm, telling the waiter, I'll have the BLT, no tomato or mayo please." Asking Zeth, misuzu said, "Whats wrong with the soup? Is it poisonous?" She smirked. Misuzu knew this guy was hiding something...besides the soup factor.

Xelt smirked, "Triple my order..." He grinned, "My metabolism has sped up three times as much over the years. Think I ate a lot back then? Heh..."

Xelt rolled his eyes, "Whatever." The food was set in front of them. Xelt grabbed his fork, and grinned. "On the count of three?"

"...umm...I think i'm going to be sick... how can you eat so much you guys? Gosh, it's like you have tapeworms or something." Misuzu stared at them both in disgust. "And what do you mean by you were dead for three years, Marek..?" Asked Misuzu in confusion.

Anlei had her head on the table her hands over her ears and sighed in annoyance.
“We are never going to be normal are we…”. She moaned glancing up to look at the waiter who seemed to be as annoyed as her with the constant righting then scribbling out on his note book. "I hope you both chock".

Marek dug his fork into a huge chunk of beef. "THREE!!!"

Misuzu flinched as a piece of meat flew into her hair. "Ewww....you guys are so gross!" Misuzu crossed her arms and got up from her chair. "Im going outside you guys. Good luck with your pigfest." Eww I still smell it... Suddenly, the usual pain in her heart started. Well isn't this just perfect timing.. She leaned against the wall in pain as she clutched her chest because the pains in her weak heart started. Sliding down to the floor, she tried to calm herself down.

Xelt belched. Loudly. All of the food was gone, as was Marek's. "Wow...we're about even." He licked his figners, and grabbed a drink, downing it in a split second. "That was pretty good."

He checked his wallet,a nd paid the man. "Here..."

The pain started getting worse and worse. I'm used to this every day...what's going on?? She started shaking all over her body and had no choice but to lay down on the concrete floor in front of the restuarnt where the hogs were. Clutching on to where the pain was, it got worse and worse.

Xelt looked up, "Hm?" He got up, and walked over to the girl, crouching down. "Are you okay?"

"I see why Misuzu didnt want to stop to watch you both, that was the worse thing Iv ever seen". Anlei laughed and looked over to where Xelt was going and looked to the others to see if they had any answers. Grabbing a napkin she threw one at Marek pointing the corner off his mouth where some remains where and sat back in her seat waiting for them both.

Marek wiped his mouth and got up, pulling money out of his wallet and giving it to a awestruck waiter. "Keep the change." He said, walking over to anlei. "So what have you been up to while i was gone?"

"The usual. Fighting, hiding, Angel Fall". Anlei said looking up at him not bothering to stand up though it made her feel exstreamly small.
"So ten years, where has Mr Marek been doing to keep himself busy?".

"The usual. Fighting, hiding, resistance, romancing random pretty women. Nothing special."

Looking up, Misuzu blushed. Oh great he saw me Studdering slightly while trying to control herself throughout the harsh pain Misuzu replied, "I-I'm sorry...This happens all the time with m-me.." A sudden burst of sharp pain found its way into her weak heart. Hunching over while grabbing her chest, Misuzu started tearing up.

Anlei couldnt help but laugh at the last thing but managed to hide her laughter by taking a drink of water. "I didnt see you as the type of person to go around flirting with young girls. I thought you was married?".

Xelt closed his eyes, I know your pain... "You'll be fine. Here..." He took a few of his pain pills, and gave them to her. "Take these."

Misuzu looked up at Xelt. "I-It's not that type of pain...I've had it since, like, forever...I dont t-think you'd under--" Before she could finish her sentence, another burst of pain shot through her heart.

Xelt looked back to Aneli and Marek, "Help? Please?"

Anlei got out of her seat not realising the pain the girl was in until she got closer and quickly knelt down beside her. "What's wrong with her?". She asked looking to Xelt and back down to the girl.
She didnt know much about medical stuff but she had been in a hospital enough times to know how to take something as simple as a pulse.

Misuzu glanced up and saw that at least two people were kneeling down beside her. "It's my heart...I-It's weak...It's always been--been..." Not being able to talk anymore because of the pain that was getting worse and worse by the second, Misuzu collapsed on the ground.

Marek laughed. "Married? Hardly. still haven't found the right one... i had one for a while, but then she ran off with my second in command. good riddance to both of them, i suspected my right hand man was a spy anyway." He ran over to the girl. "What happened?"

Marek read through her memories, a very bad and intrusive habit, but something he usually did unconsciously when he met someone. "You are very beautiful." He said, smiling.

She stopped rocking. Oh my gosh, he's so sweet! She blushed and tucked her long golden hair behind her ear. She replied, "Thanks, you're really sweet to say that." She smiled at him.

Xelt pulsed energy into his hand. "Lovely, now if you don't mind..." He spun around, smirking. "We have a visitor."

Standing in ront of him were two men, both in suit and ties. "Xelt Avira, you are herby-"

"Shutup!" He blasted one of them back, and looked back. "You guys know the drill. Marek, take the new girl outta here and protect her. There are more outside."

Zeth stood up. "So, since marcus isn't around, I am not on guard duty for once?" he asked, using the excuse for a hidden attack. As his voiced reached the speaker, it suddenly increased to supersonic levels.

"Zeth Yukimora, Echo Finder." He said, smiling, and snapped his fingers, a barrage of sound assaulting the speaker.

Marek grabbed misuzu. "I'm sorry I have to do this." Then they were moving, faster than sound, faster than misuzus eyes could follow. "If you have trouble breathing, just tell me and I'll slow down. And please tell me if you feel nautious, the last person i carried puked all over me. It's not pleasant."

"I'm starting to have deja vu...". Anlei sighed and ran back inside the restaurant.
It was the same every time, the boy's would deal with the fighting and Anlei would get any innocent people as far away as she could from the scene.

Woman and children first, elderly, and the rest off them. She may of improved over the years but it still made her tired.

"Can someone please tell me what's going on??" Misuzu shouted. Then all of the sudden, Misuzu felt dizzy, everything was spinning, and she stumbled. "M-marek...what's g-going on....?" Her eyes started to shut. She couldn't keep them open. "M-mar-..." She fainted out of all the dizziness.

Marek set her down. "Open your eyes." He said, putting energy into her temples to wake her up as he had done before. "You're safe. A good thousand miles away from anything that can hurt you." He stood over her, like a gaurdian, like a father watching over his child. "Are you alright?"

Misuzu opened her eyes again. "What's going on around here..?" She sat up slowly. "Can you explain to me who they were and what's going on?" She was a tad frustrated at this point.

"Government agents, same old, same old. They try to kill us psychics." He sat down next to her. He touched her temple gently. "Do you mind if I merge our energies? I need to make sure you are okay..."

..."Sure. Go ahead...but....psychics?" She wore a confused and tired look on her face.

And then she felt... different. As if the two had become one. It was as if they had merged, body, mind, and soul. She was struck suddenly by his memories and his thoughts, whirring seamlessly alongside hers. She felt his emotions, his feelings. They were one. And then they were apart again. "Interesting..." Marek said, smiling. "You are a psychic."

..."I'm a..what? Whoa.." All of the sudden she felt one with him and saw both memories. Then the memory of her finding out her heart was weak came. She clutched her chest in slight pain. "Wow....that was....wierd.." Then, a lightning storm started.

He touched her cheek gently. "Your heart is not the problem. It is electricity. Your psychic energy is not being controlled, and when you get excited you accidentally put energy into your heart, making it overload. I can fix that for you."

.."Wow, really? I always thought it was a heart condition...they said it was like, just weaker then most hearts.. I thought i'd be like this forever.." She replied looking at the flashing lightning.

He smiled. "A lot of people don't know they are psychic until someone tells them." He then surprised her by putting his hand on her chest and pressing hard. She felt a strange energy going into her, and felt the oneness once again. But this time something was different. Instead of just scanning her, he was changing something. Changing her. Then they were seperate again.

"Ow, that hurts.." She winced at the strange pain going throughout her body.

"It's alright..." Marek said, putting his hand on her shoulder. "I've stabilized your psychic energy. You should't experience heart problems anymore." He smiled, looking into her eyes. "Would you like me to train you?"

"Envision lightning, envision energy. Power coursing through your veins, it lives inside you. You need to coax it out." He crossed his arms. "I'm just gonna step back."

"...okay..." She replied. "So...what now?" She rocked back and forth on her heels.

"Just keep visualizing it, dont imagine it happening, SEE it happening. Know it is happening. Don't think you can shoot lightning, KNOW you can shoot lightning." He stepped back another few steps. "Just go ahead and try it."

Misuzu closed her eyes. Concentrate...c'mon...do it.. All of the sudden a huge branch of lightning shot out from her fingers to the sky. "Whoa...who knew I could do that!" She gazed at the sky admiring whagt she just created.

Marek smiled. "Yeah, try it again. This time I'm gonna just... go to the other side of the area." And then he was gone, ran off to someplace far away.

Misuzu concentrated even more this time. Just like the last one, Misuzu... All of the sudden, Flashes of huge branches of lighting appeared...so much that the earth she was standing on shook. "Whoa!" She fell to the ground. "..Did I overdo it Marek?" She looked at him with a worried look.

He laughed. "You did wonderful." He put his hand out to help her up. "My first time i tried using energy powers I blew up my house."

Xelt was thrown back by a powerful blast, slamming into one of the walls of a building. He managed to stay on his feet, but coughed heavily, blood trickling from his mouth. He spat it out, wiping his mouth quickly. "Is that all?"

Standing in front of him were two men, both laughing. "Well, well...I haven't seen you in awhile."

Xelt cocked his head to the side, "What?"

The man who spoke stepped forward, and his form shifted. "What? You don't remember me?"

"D-Drakon?" Xelt growled, "So...explains the powers. How are you still alive?"

Drakon laughed, "The magic of Science." His hands channeled energy, and shoved Xelt through the wall.

Xelt gasped in pain as Drakon threw him through several more wall, and then slammed him to the ground.

"Weak..." Drakon laughed, and turned around. "Finish hi-"

Xelt leapt up, grabing Drakon in a powerful choke hold. "Not down yet..."

Marek rammed into Drakon. "Didn't we already kill you once, demon?" He screamed, slamming him into the ground. He channeled energy into his hand and rammed it into drakons face. Xelt grinned, "It seems he's been re-created..." Probably by overlapping genes across another human's genetic structure... "The other man, he's using some ability...it's boosting Drakon's strength." Take out the other guy, and Drakon loses strength... "Possibly even form...." Xelt whispered. Interesting...what if the other man can make... "No...his ability isn't power...it's a variation of Astral Projection..." Xelt smirked. Brilliant.

Another man dropped in behind Xelt and Marek. "Hey Xelt, I got the supplies. And I think you might need a hand."

"Dysidia...nice timing." Xelt called back.

Dyce nodded, and took a stance, "Ready!"

"Xelt!!" Misuzu ran over to him. "What's happening??"

Zeth looked about and nodded. He saw that this was taken care of. "I'll get marcus." He called, then vanished with a new teleportation ability. Once Marcus arrived, there was no way they could lose.

"Alright, take this guy back to base, put him in the energy chamber, so whatever powers he has are useless."

With a flash of fire and lightning, Marcus appeared at the diner.

Marek hit the one who was powerin up drakon. The mist sizzled and burned against the mans skin. He held the empty shell, just a skin without a body or soul. "Xelt, he got away..." He held out the flopping skin. "God, what kind of psychic technique is this?" He dropped it on the ground. "erg, thats so gross."

Anlei teleported to the restaurant, to the park, then back to the restaurant too many times for her to count.
On her last teleport she almost crashed into the wall that she had not sensed before, but with a quick reaction used her power to dodge the wall so fast it seemed almost like she had gone through it. "Nice going...". She growled at the person near Xelt rubbing her head feeling slightly light headed now and once again disappeared.

Xelet sighed, releasing his stance. "Long story..." He turned around, and walked up to Dyce. "So, can you do it?"

Dyce nodded, "Yeah, but I need a sample of the subject first."

Xelt cursed, I hadn't thought of that... "Will the materials keep?"

Dyce nodded, "Yeah, no problem. I have them on me now." He opened his suit-jacket, and showed three viles with items in them. "All you need is the last sample."

Misuzu sighed in confusion. This is all so wierd.. She looked over at Marek noticing he was out of breath. Wow...he was really powerful...wish I could be that good someday..

With a casual snap of the fingers, a livign flame appeared before Xelt.

"Angel Fall is assembling, Xelt, shouldn't we be there? Let us finish this here and now, you can talk to your friends later. Drakon over there annoys me." The black-haired man said irritably, looking over his shoulder at the now angry Drakon.

"What, you run into a wall and you get all angry? You are as weak as you look."

"Hey, I can help you know!" She told Marcus and Xelt. "Iv'e been practicing, and I think I can do something! Please let me at least try," she pleaded.

Stupid drakon... She watched him slowly get up. "GO AWAY!!!! LEAVE EVERYONE ALONE YOU-" With all that anger, bursts of thunder and lightning made a tornado of lights surrounding the drakon, which made Misuzu weaker from using all that power. Who knows what was going on in there. Whoa..who knew I could do that.. She mumbled as she watched what she did in amazment.

Marcus shruged and snapped his fingers, his entire form becoming a wreathing, living lightning elemental. "Xelt, hurry whatever you are doing, I follow this outside take this outside...." Marcus said, rushing forwards to tackle Drakon as he rose laughing. THe two vanish, and re-appeared a few blocks down, all the arcs of electricity jolting from Marcus to Drakon. After a grimince, Drakon began to speed up.

"So, slowpoke, bring it."

"You have been gone too long." Marcus grunted, and felt his core body tempurature rising.

Marcus side-stepped and lept up, teleporting to the same location so rapidly that it looked like he was hovering.

he smirked and put his wrists together, feeling the energy pulse in his hands, the palms aimed at Drakon. Temporal flames lurched forward.

"You are nothing compared to what Xairin was. And we took him down. You went down once, you will agian." Marcus called down through the roaring inferno now pouring from his form.

"F***in drakon...." she mumbled. Lets see whats left of me.....energy rose within her, and she again struck drakon with powerful lightning bolts. As she kept doing that she grew weaker and weaker. Damn, hope i can keep going....

Drakon surged forward, moving at blistering speeds. "We'll see if you can take me down.." He teleported behind Marcus. "Energy signature analyzed." He smiled. "Come on then."

(GM) Reaching back, he placed a hand on Drakon, releasing Stasis Temporal energy into the body. Now he and Drakon were frozen in time. Only they could move, it would make it easier for Marcus to keep innocents from dying.

"C'mon old fossil."

"Fossil? Do you not understand?" He teleported behind Marcus, draining energy from him. "I am not human. I Am outside your human ages. I am outside TIME!"

Misuzu was suddenly frozen in time. Whats going on...?Why cant i move?? She watched as drakon appeared behind marcus. "Marcus, behind you!!!" she yelled

"You too huh?" He laughed, feeling his temperature rising once more. 3000.

"Tiem is not a master, but a wall. Once I passed it, all was possable. So, are you going to talk or fight fossil?"


With a snap, Marcus's arms burst into flame, and his heart rate sped up, raising his speed even more.


"You, there, focus enough and you can get back to the others, help them there. Tell Xelt Time is ready to call."

Drakon blurred, and there were thousands of him. "Oh, thats an easy answer." They all moved faster than a normal human eye could follow, weaving and ducking all around marcus. "Come on, marcus echo, attack."

.......so bored.... Misuzu heaved a big sigh as she still waited....but as she sat there, she felt energy being drained from her. As if things couldnt get any better She kept getting weaker, and weaker by the moment.

Marcus dodged every fist flying at him, his temperature rising by the moment. higher temp, higher speed. Reaching out, the air molocules about Drakon and his copies imploded, filling the air with thousands of small explosions.

Drakon moved forward, a strange glow coming from his fist. "Reverse energy..." He swung out at marcus.

Misuzu thought, maybe if i focus hard enough...I could escape.. She closed her eyes and focused as hard as she could..You need to get out of this...come on... Finally when she opened her eyes, she fell to the floor, "Finally.." she mumbled. But getting up from the ground was hard. She was still very weak from using all that power from before. She got on her knees and hunched over, strangely out of breath. When she tried to stand, she wobbled and just fell back down again. Another problem...just perfect...

Marcus popped away from the attack, appearing a few feet away. Charging up, lighting shot from his fingers, and he charged in with a fist, appearing behind Drakon.

Misuzu decided the best thing to do now was to get out of their way. She tried the best she could to run over to a safe spot, then collapsed on the ground. Why do I feel so weak...? She pushed herself up and leaned against the wall. All she could do now was watch.

Drakon teleported away, standing about 15 yards away from marcus. "No." A blast of dark energy rippled through the air toward marcus. "You see, I have grown in power through these long years."

As the dis-embodied energy came near marcus, a temporal gurgle rippled along it's surface, efficiently swallowing the dark matter.

"Your not the only one. I have made myself immune to energy attacks not attached to a body when my tempurature is past a specific temperature. Try again fossil."

Thi shsould get intresting. Misuzu thought. She looked around. Energy waves were flashing all over. Marcus was in battle with Drakon, and-wait..where is Marek....?

Drakon flew toward marcus. "Very well..." His energy rippled in a field around him as he shot toward marcus.

Misuzu sighed...I feel so wierd...this sucks. I cant even help. Im so useless right now.. She slid down lower to the floor with only her back propped up against the wall. Crud, I hope they cant hear my thoughts..

Marcus kept his eyes closed until the last moment, vaulting over Drakon and a wave of heat residue was left in his wake, melting the blacktop benieth him, and leavign an eerie wavy pattern in the air.

Sparking flames shot from the wound in the earth, rushign to engulf Drakon.

Drakon let the flames hit him and smiled, growing in size as well as power. now he towered over marcus, an easy 15 feet tall. "Don't you get it? your powers are useless against me. They only make me stronger."

Drakon smiled. "So you think." He flashed behind marcus. "Die." He punched forward, his hand pulsating with dark energy.

Marcus snapped a finger, and suddenly the core tempurature in Drakon's body escalated to 6000 degrees, successfully dropping the man.

"To bad you were born before Xelt learned to copy the heat." Marcus muttered, time returning to normal as he walked away.

Drakon coughed up some steam and smirked.

"I'll be back, just you wait, Echo, you will lose next time." The man said, vanishing.

Marcus scoffed and made his way back to the restauraunt.

"Finally...." Misuzu said weakly as she struggled to stand up. "I think I might have used too much power..." she said as she breathed deeply. "How come it takes out so much energy out of you?" she asked the guys. "Oh...wait...forget about me....are you two okay?" she said as she leaned against the wall with her arm.

"Isn't that just fun..." she laughed and smiled at Marek. "Well, at least I got you to cheer me up throughout this whole....nonsense.." she slid down to the floor. "Geez, I feel so weak since that battle...is that something to get used to?" She asked with a slight grin.

Just wait, pretty soon you'll get more powerful and it wont hurt so much... or you won't get more powerful and you'll drain the entire life force out of yourself and die a slow, miserable death... or you might go insane from the pure psychic strain on your mind... i knew someone who went insane from that once..." Marek paused, lost in thought.

"Oh...wow...I hope im not the last two....what do you think, Marek?" she asked with a sly grin. She layed her head on his shoulder.

He smiled when she rested on his shoulder. "I think you are going to get stronger and stronger, until nothing will be able to beat you." He tried to focus on his thoughts, but for some reason all he could think about was her, leaning on him like that.
