CLOSED - New Greeting Team Position (and small recruitment)

I have created a new position for the Greeting Team called 'Birthday Messenger', which of course from its name I'm sure you know what its purpose is. This new position will be similar to my Greeters, but will vastly differ as it will apply to members' birthdays and there will be some different "techniques" of which the duties will be performed. Basically, this job will require you to send a PM to whoever has a birthday, but of course...the message itself will not just be "Happy Birthday"..but will contain much, much more.

As well to this new recruitment for the Birthday position, I also have a few spots open for a person who is interested in either being a Greeter or a Counselor. Both having different tasks and responsibilities, but overall...trying to reach the same goal. You can apply for either position, but you cannot obtain both. You will either be a Greeter or a Counselor. If you are interested, and do decide to apply..I want you to really consider if you have the time to dedicate to it. I do not want any long periods of inactivity to occur. So here is what I have available..and I look forward to working with the ones that are interested in joining the team.

Also, you can apply for more than 1 position, if you are interested in 2 or so. BUT in the end you will only get 1 position, you cannot be 2 positions at the same time. For example..you cannot be both a Counselor and a Birthday Messenger..only 1.

I will accept applications until 3/22/08, any after that will be looked at..but the others who applied first will most likely get a better chance.

This being the new position for the team, you can bet that I'll be spending most of my time working with you and ensuring that every step of the way we are running smoothly.

Now. This position is going to be a bit different in the fact that some of you won't be doing the same thing as another person might be doing. If you look above, you will see that I have "three" different areas of which all make up the whole lot of the Birthday Messengers.

Meaning..I'll need 2 people who are moderately fair at making signatures (and who are not on the DT perferably), 2 people who are good at literature/poetry, and then the other 2 spots open will just be sending b-day messages (pretty easy part). If you feel like you can fulfill any of these requirements, please Private Message (PM) me your application. You can only be in 1 of the 3 areas! You cannot be both a sig. designer and a poet!

ALL applications must include:
1. A well thought out reason as why you should obtain this position. In here you should also tell me which area you are applying for (sig. designer, poet, or just a plain messenger).
2. Tell me a little about yourself.
3. Act like today is my birthday, and give me what your version of what your B-day message will look like. HINT!! Messages should be substantial in size, like..4-5 sentences!
4. If you are interested in the sig. designer, please create for me a 'Happy Birthday' signature, and put it into your application.
5. If you are interested in the poet side of the position, create a "Happy Birthday" poem for me (sort of like a Hallmark type of card).

Any member who is interested in this position must have a friendly and positive attitude! You will be greeting new members, so having a caring and trusting way about you will greatly help your chances! There is a system of which all Greeters follow when dealing with new members, that you will be expected to follow. But don't worry, it really isn't that difficult...you get to have fun with colors! If you think you are one of the best candidates, please PM me your application.

Now this is the position that seems to be overseen by those who have it. I am becoming more stern about those who are to be a Counselor. The system I created is not meant to be ignored, YOU WILL have to follow it in order for me to determine that you are indeed helping members out as you should be. You will aswell follow a color system that has been placed, do not take advantage of it.

To obtain a Counselor position you must be friendly, trustworthy, very mature, responsible, and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone here on the forum. Your history here on the forum will be looked at, so..if you've gotten into trouble numerous times before..you can almost guarantee that you won't get the position.

This will not be a position in which you can converse with your friends about what you've done, every member who you've dealt with has a confidentiality factor or which I do not want you to share with anyone else! If I see you in anyway abusing your position by either making fun of, or creating rumors about the person who've you helped..You'll be kicked off the team with no warnings and no second chances. You will also recieve an infraction, so be sure that if you're interested in this position..that you know what you're getting yourself into!

EVERY application for a Counselor position must be sent to myself and Twilight Dragon

3. Tell me of how you've helped someone (or a group) of members here on the forum (you do not have to use names..just tell me the situation and how you handled it).

Ermm even if it is your job you can't apply because your already a Greeter.

I would kind of think that whoever is leading the Greeting Team as a whole is probably going to lead the Birthday Messengers as well... You don't want to bog down a team with tons of beaurocracy by having tons of leaders for every little thing I don't think.

There is no "co-leader" of the Greeting Team, the only one that I consider to be closest to being one is Twilight Dragon for he is the Leader of the Counselors.

There is not a Leader of the Greeters, and as things are looking..there will never be one for everything is running smoothly.

There will be no "Head/Leader" of the Birthday Messengers, I will be leading it and that of the Greeters, as well as still remain a key role with the Counselors.

I will not be choosing a co-leader or appointing someone to be a leader of a certain position.

Also! I stressed in my first post that if you currently have a position on the GT (if you are a Greeter/Counselor) that you will have to give up that position if you desire the Birthday Messengers one. BUT! Just because you applied to be a BM, doesn't necessarily mean that you will get it.
