Well, I'll just jump into it.
I've found that there are a few sub-forums that we need in this forum. Such as...
-A sub-forum for Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories.
-A Help sub-forum for lost/confused/new members with a few questions about the site. And make sure to keep the Help sub-forum exclusive to questions about the site, and not about the KH games. Make a seperate sub-forum for those if there isn't one already.
((And I wouldn't be surprised if I found a few others that we're lacking. *Nod nod* I'll let everyone know if I do. xP ))
As for other issues, I find this layout on the site to be quite dull and in need of another banner. If any of the moderators would like, I may be able to whip up a new logo upon request. ((Plus, what's up with the Pegasus outline on it?))
Other than that, I say we have a News sub-forum ((Both Kingdom Hearts News and Forum News. Just make sure to seperate the two.)) that would allow the ability to create threads only to Moderators or other select users that are sure not to re-post news, spam, etc. and are sure to be literate and elaborate, and write at least a few clear sentences on whatever the topic is. Not to mention provide a source for the news.
That's all for now. 'Cept for the fact that the smilies on this site are pretty boring. xP I've seen many forums upgrade their emoticons, so, if any moderators know how to do that, that just might be a nice change. *Nod nod*
Just lemme know what you think of the suggestions.
Thanks for reading! ^_^

Riku already has a thread talking about a new banner here: http://www.kingdomhearts3.org/showthread.php?t=1316
We dont have a dedicated thread for Final Mix yet since it is to early to be much point in having one. We do have a Chain of Memories forum area already.
Same goes for Kingdom Heart news and Forum news.

Whew, okay... let's get started...
Final Mix and Chain of Memories subforums... How much can you possibly talk about those such that they would require their own subforums? I could see maybe one or two threads... I'll talk with Riku about this. And by talk I mean I will badger him incessantly about why I should have to add new forums...
A help subforum... I like the idea... since the Suggestions & Comments section seems to be the popular place for that. However... seeing as we aren't really a forum that requires a vast amount of help inquiries, I really would hate to continually clog up the forum will yet more subforums (more on this later).
This skin is terrible. The banner has nothing to do with KH. The layout and color scheme is terrible. In fact, the skin is SO BAD that it actually musses up the forum display so that it's all cluttered. Notice how "News" is a subforum of "Suggestions & Comments"? Notice how News shows up even when you're not inside of Suggestions & Comments? Yep, that's our awful skin doing that. However, Evil Overlord has protested to all of my begging and demanding that the skin be changed. Therefore... we'll just have to make due (until I get a chance to slip that poison in his tea that is...)
A privileged forum eh? Hm... I'll think on that and get back to you. I like the idea. At the same time I really have to watch the number of forums I create because of that stupid skin.
Smilies: I don't care about smilies. They're stupid. If it was up to me, we'd all be using the text smilies like the days of yore.
PS: I love a good argument, so feel free to post a rebuttal on any of those points.

Thanks for acknowledging my suggestions. Anyway, I'm gonna rant on and suggest some things to make this forum more organized. So, here we go...
-Though KH Re:CoM isn't that big, you might be able to create a sub-forum in the CoM section, and it'll keep the main page the same.
- Same goes for Final Mix+, we can put a sub-forum in the KH2 section. Of course, just lemme know if it's not just the main page you're worried about.
-If you don't like the idea of putting them in those sections, you can just put the whole thing in the Square-Enix section. Oh, and that's another thing. The Square-Enix section could be in the General Chat. Doesn't have to be, but it could be.
-The Help sub-forum, I really don't have a solution for that, sorry. >.<
-Now, I've noticed we have a few unnecessary sub-forums, some being...
~~~~~News Articles ((Once again, all the articles could be covered by the News Forum Moderators.))
~~~~~Staff Positions ((You could just make an announcement in the News Forum. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that section should cover announcements of all kinds. Trust me, it works out.))
~~~~~RPG ((This should be in the Forum Games section. Just combine 'em.))
~~~~~Rules ((This should be a sub-forum in the News section.))
~~~~~Personal Forum and Web Family ((These are really unnecessary. there are forums for these kinds of things. And if you wanna keep the Web Family sub-forum, that could also be combined with the Forum Games section.))
Here, check this forum out that I've been on for a while. Really organized, sleek, and really popular. Notice the Announcements/News section, too, and how only certain people can post threads in it.
http://Wiichat.com/
And... Err... >.> I really can't tell if you're being sarcastic about the skin. >.<
And about the text emoticons, I'm with ya' on that. xP
DISABLE THE SMILEYS! D:<
My turn then.
He's not being sarcastic about the skin lol - DK really hates it. The only person who can change the skin is Alex, the owner of the site, (the Evil Overlord,) and he refuses to do so, regardless of my submission of the new banner idea. As Alex designed the banner himself, he stubbornly refuses to change it.
General Chat is currently too cluttered, and we can't clutter it up more with even more sections. There's no reason to move the Square-Enix thread.
If we put a Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ section under Kingdom Hearts II, we would also have to create a Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix section under Kingdom Hearts. Currently people are satisfied with posting Final Mix stuff in Kingdom Hearts, Final Mix+ stuff in Kingdom Hearts II and Re: Chain of Memories stuff in Chain of Memories.
We could create Final Mix subforums, but that would also involve systematically going through every single related thread currently existent and moving it.
Meh, I guess you're right... Well, the Final Mix+ sub-forum is out, hopefully the other suggestions are better. xP
They're all good suggestions :)
~~~~~News Articles ((Once again, all the articles could be covered by the News Forum Moderators.))
We've been discussing what to do with this but we're not sure yet. Originally "News Articles" discussed things that weren't Kingdom Hearts News but News with Kingdom Hearts included, such as the Video Games Awards Results as an example.
~~~~~Staff Positions ((You could just make an announcement in the News Forum. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that section should cover announcements of all kinds. Trust me, it works out.))
There is only one thread in it lol. The thread isn't announcing new members of staff, but is actually attempting to recruit staff members. That never really worked though lol.
~~~~~RPG ((This should be in the Forum Games section. Just combine 'em.))
I originally thought the the Role-Playing Games shouldn't have it's post count go up as it doesn't in Forum Games. I'll discuss this with DragoonKain although I think a lot of people are used to it where it is now.
~~~~~Rules ((This should be a sub-forum in the News section.))
I understand why, but it's not actually News. I'll leave that up to DK lol.
~~~~~Personal Forum and Web Family ((These are really unnecessary. there are forums for these kinds of things. And if you wanna keep the Web Family sub-forum, that could also be combined with the Forum Games section.))
These were brought in fairly recently as a way for people to discuss things, Kingdom Hearts related or not, within both sections. Whenever they get out of hand we just close the threads. The system seems to be working at the moment.
Keep your thoughts coming though ;)

Well, one more thing is that we could sort out the main forums on the main page just like they did on Wiichat.com. But I have no clue how to do that. >.<
Without Alex I'm not sure we can either. Alex doesn't want to change a thing.

You mean like sections where forums go (e.g Site & Forum Talk, Kingdom Hearts & Square Enix Chat, and All Things Non-Kingdom Hearts.)?

Right now that's dictated by the Skins. I've already told everybody how Evil Overlord feels about his skin.
Right now we're using VBulletin 3.6, where as the skin we're using was made for 2.x I believe.

Well, I believe he's tryign to say, "The forum thread I wanna see is always not visible on the homepage when someone posts a new thread. Can that be fixed so the newest topic isn't there?" I also think that it isn't possible to change that, is it?

Er... I don't think so. I'd recommend subscribing to the thread and checking it via the User CP
