Every year now feels like a second,
There is no tick of a clock that compels him.
He has outrun time,
Proving his existence is superior to all.
400 years is nothing but a memory,
A mere dream to the simple minded.
The greatest power anyone could have,
His history has no boundaries.
Many would consider him to be a god,
But does a god feel pain and agony?
The heart of a god would not break with each death,
The life of a loved one is vital.
He has changed the fate of many,
Saving the lives of people contained by sadness.
But time does not care about such things like fate,
No more happiness can come from love.
This power is but a curse to his soul,
He prays for it to all end..it has to.
Though he is youthful in appearance,
His mind and soul have only kept track of the years.
The eyes of a person show who they are,
If you look close into his..you'll see all his misery.
Immortality is not the act of a god,
It is but a nightmare placed upon the weak.
