UGH!!!Im in the Hollow Bastion and I need HELP!!!

I dont know why I keep on Dieing in the first riku battle...Im level 38,but that isnt a problem because I already beat riku,I just went into the library and got trapped,so I had to reset the PS2...Im using Cura, giving my friends potions to help me, im trying everything. I try to go back to level up a little,but I cant because I cont get on the GUmmi Ship.Ive tried probably 10 times already.After that LONG cutseen,it get annoying.I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

you can get on the gummi ship and where your going wrong is the weapons. Soras level has to be at 43 and the stength of the weapon as to be 25 or more, give the all team high potions and you will win! from Kisa

I cant get on the gummi ship.Donald And goofy left me to be with the Beast,and Ive beat him before at my level,so that CANT be it...

M'kay, step one: breathe. Kisa, you cannot board the Gummi Ship without Donald and Goofy. That and you have an incompetent weapon, so that option is out. Okay, back to Always a Little Light:

If you are on level 38, you should be fine. Your Keychain isn't too big a deal, but your configurations are. When you lose Donald and Goofy, your configs don't change. So, if you have left them on the regular settings, they are set to give potions/healing objects freely and will go through the potions pretty quickly. That is fine, just don't heal until they stop using as many potions. Also, don't panic when you are halfway down in HP. That is fine and you have plenty of time. When you get down to where you are flashing red, then you heal. Before you go into the battle, set your Cura to X so that all you have to do is hit the button that is closest to you. Everyone has a habit of repeatedly hitting the X button when fighting, so all you have to do is hold down the other button real quick. Last, do a lot of jumping. If you have died a few times, you must know pretty well when he is about to attack. Just jump to the side and attack right away. If you attack when you are about to land on the ground again, it makes it harder for him to hurt you. Other than that, it is mostly instinct and buttons. Good luck and just shout if you need more help!

Well,my strategy is putting as many potions on donal a goofy,wich worked through most of the game.Im using Aero,so im improving.I think I might be fine.I tried going back to my last save (my dad convince me to keep one save for ever world) and I went into neverland,so now im dealing with shadow sora again...lol.But i went back to the Hollow Bastion...

You had it so that you could go back... Then you have no problems!!!! Just stock on potions and switch the configurations and you'll be fine. Try another keychain too. That will help a bit. Good luck!

Well,I couldnt Beat shadow sora.so I wasnt gonna put up with that 3 day battle AGAIN!!!lol.So I beat one of the Gairded Armors,so I leveled up and got better defnse,and I made a deal with my sister she would get TV by 9,and I didnt make it.But anyway,I think im Improving.Its so weird though.I beat riku using nothing but my keyblade,and my friends healed me,and gave me Aero couple times....why it doesnt work anymore,I dont know,but Im hoping to beat him now...and then I went to school and my friend told me all I had to do was pull the book off the shelf.I hate myself.lol.Its just...GRR...you know what its like?lol.Have you ever been stuck on a battle this long?lol...

Im trying the Jumping Technique.Its helping.But not enough.I dont hit it much because i HAVE to be on the ground to do damage to riku, andI never hit it at the right time or anything because im use to slamming my thumb on the X every millisecond...and,I switched from GBA controls CoM to the PS2 controls on the first,and the jump and attack switch places,so I spent the first week getting ticked off at my fingers,and at the person who designed the contrls differently.lol

Hee. Well, actually, if you jump and then just before you hit the floor, hit him, it really does some damage because you're still in the air. This is coming from the person that has way too much time on her hands to study the techniques of game characters, though. XD

Oh.Well,I do notice he doesn't do much damage to me after I land from a jump after striking him,but I never time it right.Maybe I should practice on some Shadows or Darkballs...Even though im using my strongest Keyblade,is there like,a certain keyblade that works best..?

Hehehehehe. You asked me this question. Well, here is your answer: Fairy Harp. I used that in both modes and beat him pretty easily. I only used it because I liked how that Keyblade looked, but it worked! Try that one; hasn't failed me yet!

I already have it equipped...Maybe my game will randomly be nice to me.Thats what it did in the start when I had to find Riku in the Island during the storm...the game SERIOUSLY put me across the bridge from him...after like, 10 trys...

I finnaly took my MP3 player's stopwatch and timed the cutseen before Riku battle...Its 3 minutes and 30 seconds...possibly the longest most annoying one in the game so far...

Then, just follow the lift stops (only use the white switches, unless there is only orange) and balconies until you get to the top. Eventually, you will come to a place overlooking where you were before and just follow that balcony. You will see a door and it will lead you to the castle chapel where Maleficent is. Yeah, I did that all from memory... I'm wierd. :rolleyes: Anyhoo, I hope that helped.

Well good for you, that bit was kind of complicated for me too, I had to make a lot of mistakes before I actually got to her, but anyway she's easy enough to beat. I had more trouble on the Dragon personally. ;) Although it wasn't as hard as some of the other bosses I guess.

So for maleficent you need to just heal and smack. Simple as that. . . Meleficent 2 you want to hide in the vines when ur going to die and heal/wait for donald. Or if have the ability that allows goofy to give you MP wait 4 that.

What I would advise is do what I did.You see if there was a point in the game I couldn't do I would simply head on over to the Coloseum and battle I did that and it got me stronger better equipment and better battle strategys.

well one option is just run around hollow bastion an level that way or just keep trying it......honestly game designers dont make games unbeatable......keep on trying you will get it.....and yes you have th eright idea.......heal heal heal......very shortly after the fight you get a new keyblade.....keep it up

Honestly, the 'necessary' level for Sora and the 'necessary' strength for the weapon do not matter. It's all about strategy. If taking blows from Riku is the problem, Use a defensive strategy to block his attacks and knock him off balance, then nail him with combos, this made the battle extremely easy. Otherwise, you could pack in the ethers and use a magic strategy to avoid Keyblade to Keyblade battle, another possibility is to use an all out offensive and take him out as quickly as possible. Honestly, the defensive strategy works best.
