SSFW - Fifth Battle - "Inferno Field"

[Sora]

Stage 5.

Inferno Field

As the Heroes materialize in a meadow a sudden explosion is heard from behind. A Volcano in the distance erupts without warning, causing large molten rocks to hurdle down at the earth. The Giant meadow begins to burn below the mountain and harsh fires blaze past them. Rocks are seen crashing down around them and the entire field seems to erupt in a magnificent Inferno.


Start point:

Different Team bases located in separated parts of the terrain.

Note board Message (ATTENTION TO THIS):

"Fifteen left. Reach the fiery top, or perish in death."

Apart from battling along, characters will need to try and reach the top of the volcano to prove their worth. But becareful, lava will be flowing, molten rocks will hit hard and cause either an instant death or torn you down to the foot of the volcano once again. And of course, not everyone can win...

Eliminate them.

Fox stood in the field for a second, watching the flames getting closer to him. "Of course. Fist cold, then hot. Why couldn't we just fight in someplace that doesn't burn you or freeze you to death?" He quickly jumped to the side, avoiding a falling rock. "The volcano..."
Fifteen left. Reach the fiery top, or perish in death.
yet another rhyming message. Apparently he had to get to the top of the mountain. Okay, that was fine with him. He began to walk toward the exploding volcano, noticing fires getting closer and closer to his left. He sighed. Of course, there has to be fire...

Toggling climate fluctuation made everything a bit more complicated. Sakura slipped on into a tiny tank top that was banded with hoops of color, taking off her piquant, winter fleece from the previous platform.

"Great! Now fire place! And not only that, need to get on top of volcano...", said Sora and started to look for way up and watched out from enemies at the same time.

[Helix: The True Hero]

The icy surface of the sinking mountain stage gave way to a much more drastic climate, fit to match the vision and reality of Hell itself. Sephiroth could feel the instant change in temperature as he veiled himself with darkness to keep from melting.

He, as always, could not see any of his fellow team members, and would have to embark alone once more. It wouldn't be a terribly difficult feat to stay alive through this level...but he had been wrong before. Sephiroth cricked his neck and began his journey.

A massive boulder, comprised of molten rock and lava, shot out from the peak of the looming volcano, its velocity propelling it toward Sephiroth's general location. It may not land directly on him, but the shock of the collision would be enough to critically alter his chances of staying alive in this game.

But Sephiroth did not flinch, did not run from the incoming boulder. He welcomed it as a challenge.

John was sitting on a rock while the ring made a gadget for his injury, "Well, I guess Fox didn't fall for our little performance, aye Ring." John said to his ring.

"Could've sworn he would have fallen for it."

"It's o.k Ring, but are you done with that injury. I guess i should have taken your advise on keeping the force field up during the battle."

"you should have, as well as fighting sora instead of fox, and just staying in hiding, or-"

"Don't push it Ring, well since your done, lets get to the top of thet volcano."

Fox ran. He ran faster than he had ever ran in his entire life. The fires were catching up to him. He quicky looked over his shoulder, seeing the blaze speeding up toward him. It had happened so suddenly. One second he had been walking toward the volcano, the next second burning rocks were falling from the sky, setting the dry grass ablaze around him. One of them had hit him in the shoulder and burned him. He mentally cursed to himelf. He should have been more careful, should not have been hit. He shouldn't have to run from this fire, he should have never been standing there when the rocks rained down. He should have done so many things differently in his life, but he didnt. And now he was running.

Waking up from her sleep, Ashe notices she is on an island.
Looking for any sign of her remaining team, she suddenly hears an explosion. To the west, she sees a volcano. "Hello!!!", Ashe screams out. "Is anyone there?"

Hearing no reply, Ashe continues on her way, feeling around the creases of the rocks for a good point to start climbing, to get her bearings. As she looks around, she still sees no life whatsoever. As she moved further towards the top, it started to get more humid and the heat intensified.

Finally getting to a flat cliff, Ashe removes her cloak, putting it in her bag. 'No sign of life still', she said sadly. 'Is this the land of the dead? Why am I here still?' Looking for her friends still, she screams out again, "Hey!!! Anyone out there alive?" Alas, only an echo of her voice slightly lower and more prolonged replied back. 'Will anyone find me, or will I die here', she thought. 'Rassler, what do I do?'

Sora started to feel something.. "OH NO!! Fire!!!", said Sora and transformed into Wisdom form to get higher... with speed..

It was Hell literalized. A peppery pulse of heat surfed into the air, flourishing grandiose fire displays. The ruptures of flame appeared to be synchronized into each other, as if they had all choreographed a dance. Smog vapors drafting in Sakura’s direction were guided by the aggressive airstreams.

“Let’s go! Shield card!” Sakura launched into a near sprinting, and a conspicuous, translucent barrier enveloped her.

Fox jumped into the air, grabbing onto the cliff face. He climbed frantically, trying to escape the flames. He had ran to the mountain, and now was trying to climb away from the flames. He hated cliffs. Hated them a lot. Climbing, hand hand, foot foot, rapidly getting higher and higher. Then he was at the top. Relieved, fox collapsed on the ground, safe from the flames. And then he smelled something burning. He got up, looking up the mountain. Lava was flowing down. "Oh COME ON!!!!" He screamed to the heavens. He looked down the cliff. Fire. He looked up the slope. Lava. Decisions, decisions. He ran toward the lava, hoping to somehow figure out a way through it or around it.

"I hear you, but now I should tell you something... RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!", shouted Sora, when he ran past Ashe... flames were closing near... "There!!! That way up!!", tghought Sora and casted Reflega on himself and ran further.. Then he managed to hid behind big Rock... Sora had casted reflega and hoped, that Flames wont hurt him.

John was flying tword the volcano, then metors started falling, he made s hield to protect him but it couldn't withstand constent rocks, so he still had to monover "Ring, power check."

"power levels at 24.535%"

"better charge," he topped at the base of the volcano. His lantern appeared before him.

"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship evils might,
Beware my power, GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT"

"Well that should last me the next 24 hours," then the lava started to come down. "Wow," he flew up "that was close," then the lantern slipped out of his hands, "No!" John shot a hand tword it, but it was to late. He pulled out, the lantern and it was almost completly melted, "if that can melt a lantern, then thats no normal lava."

With all remaining strength, Sephiroth guided the potency of a powerful dark-blizaga strike to his right arm, keeping clear in mind the size, as well as trajectory and speed, of the incoming boulder.

Once all available energy gathered to grow in his arm, Sephiroth turned his full, undivided attention to the boulder. With not a sign of reluctance or detestation, he spiraled himself into the air, utilizing the power of his dark wing to aim himself at the specific point of impact on the boulder.

Not noticing Sora, Ashe simply looked up to the sky.

Getting ready to move on, Ashe grabs some water from her pack and drinks it sparingly. "I must save some of this for later" she said quietly, reassuring herself. 'There will be a later. I must live, and fight on. For Dalmasca. For my friends', she thought, regaing her calm and collected composure.

Noticing the flames getting closer, she stood up from her last position, readying herslef. 'If anything happens here, at least I died fighting', Ashe thought while shuddering. Dying was not an option. Casting blizzard on the now burning ground, she calmly looked for someplace to settle down. Glancing around her, she couldn't find a place not engulfed in flame, except up. "And up it is", she said gently.

Finally finding a cold rock to sit on, far away from the volcano, Ashe set down her heavy sword and shield, and melted more ice into her leather pouch. Feeling a gentle breeze upon her pale face, Ashe decided to rest a while, quietly humming a serene song to herself.

Fox ran toward the flowing lava, teeth clenched. "I have got to be insane to try this..." He threw a concussion grenade forward. It landed in the lava, then exploded, the concussion blast pushin a lot of the lava back. A small channel was cleared for fox to run forward. He ran through it, his fur getting singed by the heat. "Grrr..." He growled. He used fox illusion, shooting forward at blistering speeds. He then threw his reflector down on the lava, jumping on it. His momentum from fox illusion propeled him up the slope, surfing on top of the lava on his reflector. He growled, breathing heavily, trying to make it. He would fall short and stop, his reflector wouldnt last very long, and his would be stuck in the middle of the lava. That is what would happen in just a few seconds. "Damn..." Why did this always happen to him? He jumped in the air, grabbing his reflector, and activated firefox. "KRRRRAAAAAAA!!!!" He screamed, bursting into flam and flying through the air.
That rock...
He managed to lang on a huge boulder, safe above the flowing lava. "Why me? Why is it always me?"

With a specific area pinpointed on the boulder for striking, Sephiroth held out his blizaga-casting arm and let loose.

"Blizaga..."

With each step, the salty quintessence of the liquid magma was thickened. The brackish bulk of it all felt like a spider web in Sakura’s eyes and her sensitive sinuses once she arrived at the foot of the volcano. Intermingling flares of fire all along the mountain appeared to be conspiring against the contest participants. Sakura dawdled along an interval of precious time. A break of stillness hushed her anxiety, and so she gripped her hands into cast-iron fists. Where was Kiro when she needed it? No matter. Sakura embarked on her first step of a marathon, prepared for a feat of mountaineering. The Shield card spirit that swathed her scorching, balmy body guarded her from any potential threat.

Sora was safe... he was flame untouched... He got out from his cover and continued the way up. "YUNA, IF YOU'RE HERE... SHOW YOURSELF!", shouted Sora and continued the way up. Sora saw troble.. rocks started to fall down "No... I won't give up", said Sora with sweating face. He summoned Keyblades. Then ran ahead for fight with faling rocks. As he was near one, he slashed it and continued way foward. "ARRGH....", shouted Sora and ran full speed up.

John was flying to the top of the volcano, avoiding the lava that flew out to catch him in mid-air. "Damn, this thing is huge, I'm not even halfway."

"I'm going to personally kill the guys who brought us here."

Fox stood on top of the rock in the middle of the lava flow. "Well... this is convinient." He had a habit of talking to himself when in a bad situation. No one knew why. "I wonder..." A plan had already began to form itself in his head. "Oh yes, thats a good plan..." He smirked, getting his equipment ready.

Failure...

A feeling of loss. A mis-interpreted action that results in a loss. A sensation that one has lost.

This was what Sephiroth was feeling as his Blizaga was instantaneously overpowered by the combined density and force of the boulder. His arm felt as though it had been crushed, and his dark veil shattered, melting away into nothingness...

His speed and direction was inverted as the boulder caught Sephiroth and jerked him with it, hurtling through the almost maroon sky, and toward the equally maroon earth. Nothing could be done now. No action could be taken. No process could be followed. It would soon be over.

If only I had been stronger...if only I had listened to my...

Seeing a Sephiroth a la flame in the distance Ashe ran over to him, casting cure on his flesh wounds from the rising heat of the fire. "Good to see you again", she said with a smirk. Slashing away the boulder with the deathbringer, she drags him over to the rock and urges him to sit down. "Don't worry it's safe here", she said serenely. "So are you okay now, hotshot?"

John was about a quarter of the way up, and he was breathing heavly, "Jeez, this is going to take me days... but, I got to finish this, who knows what happens when your eliminated... so I gotta win this." And he continued to fly.

Sora dashed to top of the Volcano.. "Damn, this thing is big!!!", thought Sora. He stoped for a moment and thought... "My battle with Yuna will be on top of that Volcano...", said Sora quetly... and continued his way up, before Yna could do it... he needs to be on top before her.

Fox screamed like a madman, jumping down off the rock. He used firefox, shooting into the air, then threw down a concussion grenade, quickly followed by his reflector. The concussion grande exploded and fox shot into the air, shielded from the blast by his reflector. He grabbed the reflector and threw down another grenade, followed by his reflector. Once again the blast threw him into the air and he repeated the process.
So... I'm pogo sticking on my reflector, riding on explosions? cool...
One minute and five grandes later her was out of the lava river. "Whew..." he sighed in relief. "Made it..." He felt the earth tremble and turned to see the volcano peak shoot another spout of molten lava.
I can't believe im actually going TOWARD the source of the lava...
He shook his head. He didn't have a choice. Just like he didn't have a choise whether or not to fight. He would have to do this because whoever brought him here told him to. And so he began walking.

He jerked open his eyes, the intensity of the flames hurting his eyes. When his vision had returned, he saw Ashe, the one he had saved from near-death in the previous round.

"It seems we are even..." Sephiroth breathed, then slipped back into unconsciousness.

((Which means I have to go.))

Perhaps Sakura’s repugnance for combat would proceed as an advantage? With everybody else occupied with each other, Sakura thought she could accomplish admission to the crest of the volcano. But, let’s not let arrogance to be arrogance.

Stahn collapsed, breathing heavily. "This place...it's really hard to breath." It's far too hot. "Dymlos, can you help at all?" He checked himself. "Dymlos?" The blade was gone. Then it came back to him.

Just before he had been transported, Dymlos had slipped from his grasp. Stahn was alone, and weaponless.

Actually... He looked around, I might be able to find a stick or something... He was sweating, and he looked around, noticing rivers of molten lava. "If only Dymlos were here..." He sighed, and moved forward. The mountain is where he would head.

"Sakura! How I'm glad to see you here!", said Sora, "It seems we have to get on top of this... volcano..."

"Sakura! How I'm glad to see you here!", said Sora, "It seems we have to get on top of this... volcano..."

A swift rupture of voice suspended Sakura’s thoughtful meditation. Her eyes coasted along with the nomadic heat, and over to the young boy alongside her. He had been gazing at the high volcano, parallel to her own stare until both their eyes met in between.

“Hello!” Sakura grinned her signature, crooked grin, smiling at Sora. "We're on the same team. Right?"

Fox trudged up the mountain, his teeth bared in open defiance of the heat and flames that spewed from the mountain. He would conquer this mountain as he had conquered every other obstacle that had ever stood in his way. He growled as some embers brushed against his cheek, blown by the wind. Laser plateaus, storm battered islands, sinking glaciers, and now this? He swore that if he ever met whoever had brought him here he would strangle them.

A swift rupture of voice suspended Sakura’s thoughtful meditation. Her eyes coasted along with the nomadic heat, and over to the young boy alongside her. He had been gazing at the high volcano, parallel to her own stare until both their eyes met in between.

Steeping out onto the cliff edge, Ashe closed her eyes, Feeling the wind graze through her hair. Her porcelain skin and plush pink lips were just the right tempature. Noting how the smoke smelled different from here, Ashe sits down and leans back onto the ashened rock, slowly drifting into a slumber, and curls her legs up, relaxing her tensed muscles.

"Yeah... and it looks like we will be together for some time!", said Sora and sat near Sakura. "What are you doing?", asked Sora.

“Uhh…” Sakura wavered in her placement, squared in the heart of a scorched patch of grass. It had made her heartbroken that such a picturesque place would soon be entirely ruined. “Probably the same as you.” She inconspicuously gestured up the volcano, wanting to talk and walk at the same time.

Fox continued trekking up the mountain, going around the occasional lava flow and avoiding the occasional fire that sprang up. The real problem was falling rocks. There was an almost constant rain of rocks from the sky. He shook his head. Yet another thing on his problems list.

For the fourth time, the blue bomber black-out once again. His body felt numb, but he soon regained his body movements. The blue warrior slowly opened his eyes. His other body parts followed as he stood up in a deserted field. MegaMan quickly nodded his head, looked up into the distance, seeing a volcano from afar.

“Another realm,” Omega-Xis said as he scanned the area. “It still looks like we’re still in this game.”

MegaMan couldn’t take his eyes off the volcano. He felt like he had to make it to the top. He felt like he needed to hike up the mountain and defeat any enemies that dared to stop his path. With a small nod, the blue bomber took his first step in the new inferno realm. The two were determined to make their way to the top of the volcano.

Kairi said: "Sora, don't ever change." Sora had broken that promise... he was changed.. not in outlook but... inside... he knew it. "Sorry, Kairi... I let you down...", said Sora quetly and again.... tears. But he knew... if he wouldn't change... he might die... and maybe wouldn't see face of Kairi... or Destiny Islands... "It's the key to everywhere..", thought Sora and stared at his Keyblade... "So, my land is the key...", thought Sora and continued his way up to volcano with Sakura.

Sakura wouldn’t want to adjourn Sora’s reflective cogitation, and so respectfully waited. “What are you…Thinking about?” She asked immediately afterward. Sakura wanted to make at least one friend in this struggle of rivalry.

"About my friends... myself... my land... everything... Now I have to even fight against Riku... Damn... it hurts..", said Sora he was crying... he cried. About everything.. his heart was bleeding once again in these days... then, he felt something... He looked at his leg... "What the...?", shouted Sora and fell down in uncounsiousness.. his leg was bleeding... he didn't even fell that... he had lost much blood...

MegaMan quickly ran to the volcano. In minutes, he had reached the bottom of the volcano. As his gaze worked its way up the mountain, he sighed. It was a long way up, so it would take a lot of time to get up there. But the blue bomber knew he had to make it all the way to the top.

“It’s never easy,” MegaMan said as he took his fist steps up the volcano. “I better keep my guard up while I hike up there.”

MegaMan knew he would need to dodge the molten lava and rocks making its way down the volcano. Plus, the blue bomber would need to scan the area near him for enemies. He didn’t feel like having a battle on a volcano, but he need he would have to.

Zero stared at the peak of the firery mountain... it still seamed so far away.... if only he could just dash away...

That is not so easy......

The fiery eruptions of the volcano made the HUnter have to seek rocer, and even with his Fire Form, Zero doubted he would be able to withstand contanct with the Volcano.....

Thus the hunter coninued his hike... there is still a job to do!

The greasy, slick blood had forced the bandage to frustratingly skid about, bothering Sakura.

Let me help you!” She groped through her extravagant knapsack, being very vigilant not to drop it, and pulling out a scroll of bandages. The greasy, slick blood had forced the bandage to frustratingly skid about, bothering Sakura.

Sora woke up for a moment: "Thank you.... Sakura...." and blacked out again... he saw dream... he was wraped in light.. he was in light room... "N-Namine?", said Sora in dream, "W-What's going on?? Where am I??" "You're in dream... which I created to talk with you. Sora, are you okay?", said Namine. "I'm wounded... Namine, strangly things are happening with me... Strange new power... power of light...", said Sora, "I'm afraid... ", Sora cried in dream... he was feeling warm hand touching him... he was happy... "Namine, I'm happy to see you...", said Sora and let the light flow throught him.

Sora when opened eyes was gliding above the ground... wrapped in bright light... "Thank you, Namine", said Sora.

Wander had suddenly been transported yet again to another playing field. He was shocked when he saw the massive volcano rising from the earth. He then caught sight of the note that was near the exit of the team base. 'So, I must make it to the top....alive.' He thought to himself. He saw none of his fellow teamates anywhere. They must have been teleported before him and were already on their way to the top. 'They might need my help,' he thought to himself. He quickly got ontop of Agro who had gotten used to the transportation and was fairly calm.

"Hyaa!" Wander shouted and he nudged Agro in the sides. The horse reared up and started off into the bleak firey world in a steady gallop. Even though they were quite some ways away from the volcano there were still various rivers of lava flowing through the landscape. They were small and Agro was able to easily jump over them. Eventually though the rivers became wider and more abundant, making it harder for the horse to clear the gaps. When the two were a mere half a mile away from the smoldering mountain when a large flaming boulder crashed just a few feet away. The blast caused Agro and Wander to be thrown back. Agro landed safely a few feet away but Wander had gotten the short end of the stick.

He was thrown several feet farther than Agro and landed on solid ground a few feet away from a crevase flowing with lava. The as he hit the ground momentum kept him going and he was flung out over the flaming river. The crevase was rather deep, the lava was a good 100 feet deep, and Wander was falling into it. Luckily he was able to come to his senses and was able to grab onto a a protruding ledge. He was reminded back when he had been fighting one of the Colossi. He had been on its head when his grip gave out and it flung him off. He had been lucky enough to grab on to the hairy back of the monster and was able to climb back up and vanquish the beast. The situation now was similar yet instead of hard ground beneath him he had a vat of boiling magma to worry about.

Wander slowly started to climb back up, making sure each hand hold was secure before pulling himself up, closer to the edge. The heat was not helping the situation either as was making his entire body sweat, including his hands, which made it all the more important to get out before his hands started dripping in sweat and he was more liable to fall.

Stahn coughed, and continued towards the mountain. It was fairly easy so far. Too easy... He was worried. Something bad was bound to happen. "Any second now..." And he was right.

He heard it first before he saw it, a pillar of flames shooting up into the sky. "A fire spout?" Stahn cocked his head to the side. No...it was lava... "And the pressure..." He looked up, his eye's widening. It's raining down! He leapt back, narrowly dodging the droplets of magma as they fell. Close.

The young swordsman groaned. "If only Dymlos were here..." He sighed, and walked around the lava plume, and headed back towards the mountain. Cautiously...

Now Sora was strong... he knew what to do... He casted Guraga to heal all of his wounds... He was still covered in light... He transformed int Final Foram... Then he charged to the top of volcano... "This is is it!!! I'm gonna make it!!", said Sora and was in brighter light... He now could be seen by everyone on this land... he was almost bright as sun... but not hot, just like sun shiny... and he landed on top of volcano... "I DID IT!!!", said Sora. And then fell asleep... carrying his new powers within himself... he needed to rest... so he went to sleep.. He still was covered in light...

At one point he attepted to grab a protuding rock and withdrew his hand quickly as the sharp rock peirced his skin, causing a small gash to apear on his hands. The sweat running down his arm mixed in with the cut causing it to sting. Salty sweat running into a cut was the least of Wanders worries at the moment. He wanted to get out of this pit alive.

Wander looked down and to his horror he saw the lava in the pit was rising, quickly. Wander started to scramble up the last bit of the pit but he wasn't faster than the lava. He was able to reach the top and pull himself up but not before the heat of the lava licked at the souls of his feet causing his leather boots to catch on fire. Wander quickly turned around a took off his boots before they burned his feet. This came at the price of singing his hands. He threw the smoldering boots away and looked at his now charcoal colored socks. He had no time to waste though as the lava peaked up over the edge and started making its way toward him.

Wander jumped up and quickly mounted his horse. Agro didn't need proding to know what to do. He turned and started running away from the river of lava that was flowing towards them from behind. Wander steered Agro towards the massive volcano determeinded to get up to higher ground before the lava behind them caught up. The plan worked. The base of the volcano wasn't all that steep but it was able to keep the flowing lava at bay. Agro walke up the slight grade onto a flat area that appeared to be safe. Wander stoped his horse and dismounted to survey the damage the fire had left his hands in. They wern't severe burns, 2nd degree at the most. Wander looked in through his sack and took out a piece of cloth that he tore inot a makeshift bandage and wrapped the hand that had been cut in it. When he was done looked up the side of the volcano. The slope became to steep for what Agro could handle, he would have to be left behind. "Well, we part ways for now." Wander said to his horse as he stroked its long brown neck. "We shall meet again in the next world these gods send us to." And at that Wander turned and started his dangerous climb up the side of the mountain.

Was the volcano scolding her? It very much had sounded like it. The bursting sniveling of it was becoming more profuse and noisy with each heated step up.

Where am I? Gohan thought. He was in a new area and terrian. This was getting old. He got tired of how much he can ending up in new areas, but maybe if this kept up, he would reach home, but he would have to stay alive long enough for that. The last thing he remembered was his fight with Riku. He hoped he would meet up with him again, because he was a great rival, and a strong one too. Gohan got up and flew of. It was so hot. He so a volcano and fire everywhere. This place made the ice mountains from before look and feel like heaven. Gohan then flew around to search for his team mates.

Wander heard a loud noise ring out behind him, a sound that was not natural for the suroundings he was in. He turned his head just enough to look back and good thing too. The blazing bullet soared right where his head had been, singing the side of his cheek. Wander quickly put his hand up to the burn and when he removed his hand it was glistening with a small amount of blood. 'Another cut, great,' he thought to himself.

Wander then searched around for the source of the sound and saw him staning there. He was not one of his teammates. This person was one of the players Wander had yet to see. He had been wondering where some of the other participants had been and he now had his answer. He also knew he was no match for any of the other competitors he had seen thus far. He was in fact only a human with nothing more than a sword and a bow. Luckily though, while back in the Forbiden lands of the colossus, Dromin had granted him a few mystical items to use during his quest for the Colossi. These items would now make themselves usefull.

Wander quickly pulled himself onto a nearby ledge and dug thorugh his sack, quickly finding what he was looking for, the Flash Arrows. Dormin had told him that these arrows caused an explosion upon impact, the perfect weapon to counter the mysterious mans flaming shots. He took out his bow and drew one of the arrows an peeked over the ledge, taking careful aim at the man before shooting the explosive arrow at him.

He started to run when he saw the new note. I have to get to the top of that? He thought while looking at the lava still streaming from the top of the mount. He then started to run towards the mount to make it to the top when he saw the boy in red and then he saw a new boy but his aura was red. He ran towards them and pulled some daggers ready to throw them at one of the enemies.

Finally, he grabbed her leg and threw her high in the sky and followed and then teleported then above her and when she came close in contact with him he smacked her away hard, sending her towards the ground and magma.

Wander felt the earth shake right after he fired his arrow. He tumbled backwards but not before he saw the man narrowly dodge the pillar of lava that had erupted from the ground. Once the earth stopped moving he peered over the edge of the cliff face he was on and saw that the man had fallen a very long distance. Although something else caught his eye. He stood out against the black charred rock in his white robes. He could tell he was another enemy. He had also seemed to have been knocked back by the flame but he had avoided the long fall. It seemed like it might take him some time to get up to where he was but he wasn't going stand around and wait.

He turned to continue climbing the mountain. He kept his bow slung around his shoulder just in case he had to get it out again. As he climbed rocks flew out of the top of the volcano, some narrowly missing him. One came inches from his face and he turned to watch it fall down the side of the mountain. Bad idea, for the moment he turned around another large rock, about the size of a softball , connected with his forehead, knocking him back. He landed back down on the ledge he had been at earlier. He felt the warm blood trickle down his face and his vision began to fade. His eyes slowly closed as he drifted into unconsiousness.

All she could do now was wait; the compact surface of the volcano was approaching Sakura quickly. An outburst of powdery earth spewed everywhere upon impact! Sakura’s head was aching with pain, but she couldn’t stop and embrace it. She searched her environment—powder was seen as ever-present, and she got a strange sense of being lost, though Gohan was nowhere to be seen.

MegaMan was slowly making progress up the volcano. He panted heavily as he ran. The hike up the volcano was a long one. He had been running non-stop, but he was almost halfway up the massive volcano. What really slowed him down was the huge rocks and molten lave running down the step volcano. He had spent most of his time dodging these obstacles.

“Keep is up, kid,” Omega-Xis cheered. “We’re almost there.”

MegaMan nodded, knowing Omega-Xis was right. They were halfway up the volcano. If he wasn’t attacked, then he would actually make it to the top. But the blue bomber still kept his guard up though.

Zero recovered from his fall as he spun around and drew his flaming sword, the weapon ready to slice anything that neared him....

If the hunter remembered, he had seen an enemy near, but that could have been a malfuntion... still his sensors did not catch anything or at least there weren't any enemies near....

Gohan asked smirking and then let go of the girl letting her get air and then turned her around and started rapidly punching her in the chest and then jumped up and launched millions of energy blasts at her.

To stop the two from going any further down the volcano, Omega-Xis latched his teeth into the thick soil of the volcano. This smart tactic stopped MegaMan’s tumble in its tracks.

“That was a close one,” MegaMan said as he let out a sigh of relief, “right, Omega-Xis?”

Omega-Xis said nothing. He was too busy holding on to the volcano to speak; his mouth fill of rock and soil. The blue bomber quickly stood up and brushed himself off. But then another noise caught his attention. It sounded like the cries of battle. The blue warrior quickly turned to his right, seeing a battle that was close by. It was between a girl and Gohan.

“It’s that guy from before,” Omega-Xis grunted as he led MegaMan towards the battle. “Take out your Battle Cards!”

MegaMan barely had any time to move. In a swift movement, the blue warrior took out a card from his backpack. This Battle Card was titled ‘Aura’. In an instant, MegaMan inserted the card into Omega-Xis mouth. With a small growl, Omega-Xis analyzed the card. Then, a yellow aura formed around the blue warrior.

In a quick sprint, MegaMan stepped in front of the girl, taking the full force of the blast. But the warrior was unharmed. That was the card’s effect. A yellow barrier formed around the user, protecting him from all attacks for a short amount of time.

With a scoff, MegaMan stood up proud, and then the aura faded away.

“Look’s like we are going to settle this thing here and now,” Omega-Xis said as his voice echoed inside MegaMan’s head. “Let’s show him who the real warrior is!”

Wander's eyes slowly fluttered open as he was brought back into consiousness. He raised himself up, flinching as pain soared across his head. He lifted his hand to the gash, which had now clotted up with blood. "How long have I been out?" He muttered to himself. Wander was suprised he was even alive. While he had been unconsious he could have been found by a rival team member and killed, or the volcano could have erupted again, burying him under a pile of rocks or a flow of lava. For his life he was grateful.

Wander looked back up the flaming mountain. He was still only about halfway to the top. He looked around, trying to spot any enemies. He saw nothing, nothing but large pillars of flame every now and then and smoke billowing out of exhaust points in the side of the mountain. As he stood up he realized he was covered in ash. Wander gently brushed himself off, getting as much ash as he could before he coninued his climb up the mountain. "At least this mountain doesn't move." Wander joked to himself.

Zero grinned with a wide pride in his skills... this was not another maverick or an enmey in his way.... but now the crimson hunter just considered the Megaman before him a comarade in arms...

... part of him believed that Geo Stellar would have made a great Maverick Hunter....

But that was quickly buried...

Zero twisted mid air, using the locked swords as a pivot poit to outstreach his right leg, the fancy meneuver would allow the hunter to hopefuly connect with the bluw fake, and then create some space.

The blue warrior saw swift leg kick coming, but he wanted to get some distance between Zero. He quickly raised his free hand in-between Zero's kick and MegaMan's body. His arm softened the blow, and created some distance between the two warriors.

"This is actually fun," MegaMan said out loud as he preformed a back flip, landing on his feet. "I hope that though about us becoming friends is still in your mind, Zero."

The blue bomber did want to become friends with this Zero hunter. He hoped that he could maybe perform a ‘Brother Band’ with this robot. In his world, a Brother Band showed a bond of friendship between people.

"We'll have to see that.... but you are not that bad!" Zero grinned the normaly stoic reploid betraying emotion.

BUt the times for funs were not now, the fire mountaitn exploded at that instant, rain of fire falling onto the field. In that instant Zero flashed... his dash system at its max, as the green shinning Z-Saber was twisted and used to try to deliber another blow at the Megaman from the stars...

Altair was close to making it halfway and then decided to sit and rest for a while on a ledge he found. He sat down and tried to catch his breath while still looking around seeing if any enemies were around. He then got up and started up the mountain again. Altair thought that his eyes were fooling him when he saw an area the was lighter than the ground around it. He looked and it showed that the same amount of ash didn't fall there than the area around it. He didn't think much of it as he contiued to climb so that he would survive.

"A volcano." Riku spoke outloud as he continued his ascend towards the fiery top. "Not sure how high it is, but climbing it fast and quick is the best solution... Always the best solution."

It has been three hours ago since he had been transported to this place. The first impression he got was, "Ah, sanctuary!" A second look on the landscape around him changed his good impression on this place to utter horror, "Volcanic eruption! RUNNNN!" Just as he was about to leap down the fiery mountain, he noticed that... that he cannot go down! The noteboard that once materialised in front on him said, "Fifteen left. Reach the fiery top, or perish in death." before crashing into his face and nearly took him down the mountain.

And so here he is. Half way up the mountain and STILL a long way to go, but hey! At least he didn't need to face an enemy. He had been lucky for the past three hour.

Secretly, his desire to use the LD Form was burning as molten rocks crash on top of him without warning and unexpected lava singed his clothes and his body. The molten rocks are easy to deflect, but the he cannot see the lava coming. After a few tortured moments, he finally found a place he could stand and concentrate and yelled the magic words that would protect him, "Wind!". However, it doesn't seemed that the Wind Barrier is as powerful as the two battleground he had been before. The hot air does not seem to work well to form the Wind Barrier. He must be ready.

Up ahead, he so another person like him trying his hard to climb up the monstro mountain. His mind became tensed, but soon he became relaxed when he saw it was an ally, the guy from before. But he still does not know his name, and so he quickly leaped towards his direction and yelled, "Hey there pal! Mind if I join you in this... climb to the top of hell?"

Altair looked behind and pulled out some daggers when he heard the person behind him. He then put them away when he saw that it was that boy from the last two areas. "Sure," Altair said to him as he continued walking. "Your arua is blue so I can only assume you as a friend." He then turned his head to look at the boy. "What is your name?" he asked the boy. Altair then jumped to the side when a rock landed where he was walking. He regained his footing and continued to walk to the top.

"Riku." That was all he get to say when he saw spurting lava came crashing down on them. While he was protected, his friend isn't.

FREEZE! A blast of ice energy froze all the lava that threatened to engulf them.

"It's unwise for us to stay much longer, let's go!" And so Riku began to climb again, this time with a friend beside him.

Friend.

Waking up to a rumble, Ashe steps over to the cliff again, examining her surroundings. 'Where did everyone go to', she thought quizically. Sephiroth was gone too, which only meant one thing. She had missed a bunch of events. "Now how do I get home", she shouted.

Altair looked at the frozen lava and then looked at the boy. "Yes that would be what we should do." He then began walking again. "My name is Altair," He started to say to Riku, "Thanks for back there." He continued to walk and pulled out some daggers in case some enemies decided to attack them. Altair thought to himself while he walked. This is the only person that is a friend that I actually met then just watch battle. Altair looked up and saw how far the top was. "We have a long, dangerous walk ahead of us don't we?" Altair stared straight up to the top of the mountain while he spoke. He watched as rocks still fell free and lava still flowed from the top.

[Xuan]

"Well... Not exactly, I could just fly ourselves up to the summit, but that might come with some risks..." Riku was reluctant to use the easiest way provided to him: LD Form. With that, he could reach the summit with five elephants on his back in a minute without breaking a sweat. However, the Light and Darkness Form is growing curiously - potentially dangerous - unstable for the past few battles.

"Then again, it ain't that much of a risk... It's your call." Riku stared at his new pal, waiting.

Wander continued to climb up the side of the volcano. He was growing very tired as the slope of the volcano became steeper as he ascended the mountain. He eventually reached another ledge. It seemed to be relatively safe so he decided to rest there. He still had a ways to go. He hoped that Agro was doing well at the base of the volcano, it felt ages since he left his faithful companion alone. The earth shook as more lava spurtted out from the nearby crevices. It was unwise to stay in one area for too long but he was to tired to tread any further.

As he rested he heard voices over the booming of eruptions all around him. Wander tensed when he heard the voices were so close. He peered around the corner and and saw the man in the white robe from earlier, but he was not alone this time. There was a boy with him. Wander could tell that they were not from his team and hopped to avoid any conflict with them. It would be hard for him to fight one of them, let alone two.

"We're facing risk from both sides. We should just keep to walking." Altair wondered what Riku meant that he could fly them up there in a flash. For a while he listened to the sound of his breathing as a grew shallow once again. He knew he should rest but he didn't want to show weakness infront of Riku. So Altair kept his head up while staring at their final destionation at the top of the mountain. He felt like he was being watched and turned and looked at a boy watching them. "Lets take this path to our left it looks a bit safer then the one we're on." He didn't want to have any conflict because traveling up this mountain was difficult enough.

(OCC: Sorry I have to go.)

Starting to climb again, Ashe grasps the black cliff, keeping her eyes locked onto her target. Putting her hand into a pile of damp, burning soot, she screams in pain. Losing grip with her left hand she is hanging on the face with four mere fingers. 'I must go on... I will go on... I have to push myself past my boundaries of comfort', she thought.

With newfound strength, Ashe takes hold of the rocky surface again, slowly pulling herself up. Falling rocks above her coming down, molten lava splashing below is slowly hardening into new land. Finally reaching another flat area of ashened land, she takes a rest for a few minutes.

With a blackened face and cut hands, Ashe takes a swig of her water. 'Refreshing... I miss my home though... My friends, My town, My people', she thought sadly. "When will I go home", she said with hints of hoplessness and despair. Regathering her courage, Ashe began the long trek up the mountainside once more.

Fighting against the odds, Ashe clamored up the cliff, trying her best to get to the top. Finally giving in to exhaustion, she digs her sword into the edge of the flat area, and stops. "I have to take a brak and rest", she said, with sweat flowing down her face. It must have been at least two hundred degrees up here.

"Those gods thought of everything, even a way to destroy my lantern, well this just got a hell of a lot more interesting."

Wander watched the two hoping he wouldn't be seen as he continued up the side of the mountain. He looked back over his shoulder to see that the boy had stopped and was staring right at him. All of a sudden a strange looking sword appeared in the boys hand. Wander had no choice, he would have to fight this person, as much as he didn't want to.

He drew up his bow and got one of his explosive Flash Arrows ready. He took careful aim as he let the bow go and watched as the arrow flew towards his foe. If anything the explosion might startle him enough so that Wander could find time to conceal himself.

OOC: Oooh, how come there are so many arrow users in this RPG?

Riku leaped towards Wander with lightning agility. However, due to the unstable and dangerous terrain beneath his feet, it was easy to predict where he would go in order to continue forwards. This thought quickly came true when the enemy picked up an arrow and shot at him. Previous encounters with the God's pet flashed into his memories. He instinctively wanted to cast Firagun at the enemy, but logic caught up with him quick and fast.

The last time, I fought Fire with Ice, so... ten bucks says that Ice will be the killer. Without hesitation, he blasted the arrows with a barrage of ice before continuing forwards to clash weapons with Wander.

Wander watched as the boy froze his arrow in mid flight. It was a type of sorcery that he had never seen before. The ice completely imobilized his atack and came darting at him, his strange sword about to slash. Wander sloppily doged the attack, the sword narrowly missing him. The battle had become close quarters now so Wander but his bow away and withdrew his sword. He hated using the large weapon, he wasn't used to it. He was much more comfortable using a bow but the situation wouldn't allow that.

He then attempted a feutile attempt at charging the enemy. As he got near the boy he swung down with all his might, hoping that he might hit his target.

OOC: I GTG. So... sorry for you. Use your imagination to save yourself from fiery death, I know you can :D

Riku easily sidestepped the clumsy approach as he raised his Keyblade, ready to end the enemy's life. But before he could do so, a huge eruption occured as the magnitude of the explosion startled him.

And then a tonne of molten rock came crashing down upon them.

Seriously annoyed that his near death scenarios always had something to do with huge stupid rocks, he kicked Wander off the mountain and left him plummeting towards the bottom of the mountain where certain death would claim him. He then flashed away from the site of impact just a few seconds earlier before the rock crashed. There was a terrible shaking like a eighteen scale earthquake before everything calmed down.

He did not know whether the enemy had survived and stopped his fall.

All he cares is that he would not be flattened by anymore stones, and that no brave warrior that was teleported here should be crushed to death by stones either.

At least, he would die by another warrior's hand.

Sora woke up... "Tha't was a nap!", said Sora and looked around... "Yeah, this is topside of volcano... wait...", said Sora. He still was wraped in light. "Oh, forgot.", said Sora and sat down for concentration to put for light back in heart.

[Xuan]

Riku leaped back to where Altair is, his mind's decision made up. It would do no good for them to stay anymore longer. Climbing up this fiery mountain would take forever if they would meet any more enemies. There was still some doubt in his heart, but Riku didn't dare to waste time as he batted away yet another chunk of stone. He hated the weather.

"Light and Darkness!" The transformation took over and his power rose ten times stronger than before, way beyond Riku's imagination. What the? This is too powerful... ARGH! A sudden pain struck the deepest core of his heart as he clutched his chest, trying hard to breathe. However, the pain subsided a few seconds later, it's as if none of those needle driven pain in his heart never happened. Frustation grew, his previous meditation did nothing to help at all.

Better get to the summit of this stupid mountain first before anything weird should happen again. And so, Riku weaved him and Altair inside a cocoon of ice and water as he cleared off the barrage of killing lava and rocks on top of them again, this time with the slightest of ease. Hitting thin air would've used more energy.

He wished that he could use more energy.

Without waiting for a response from Altair, he flew the both of them towards the summit of the volcanic mountain in a breeze, completely ignoring the devastation around them caused by deadly melting lava and deadly flying rocks. Nothing could hurt them now.

Nothing.

They landed on a safe spot Riku had created by casting a powerful Gravigun and Blizzagun on a small site on the top of the mountain. But even so, they could feel the unbearable heat burning their air and suffocating them. Riku quickly casted another Wind spell to bring cool air around them instead of this burning, hot air that has no oxygen in it. The strain needed to maintain three spells at once helped to soothe his heart and calm him down.

Being too invincible could be a scary prospect if one had not the realisation of truth.

Riku hasn't.

OOC: Well, waiting for a fight... Can I play with a few pets of Gods?

Sora had absorbed light... "Ok... now this power is within me... Now I can explore top of volcano", said Sora. So, he started to take a circle around top of volcano. "It's good, that my new power protects me...", thought Sora. He took a look inside the volcano... "It's active", said Sora, "It can explode in any time..." "This could be usefull", thought Sora...

At the sight of Sora, Riku gave a deep groan before recounting the spells he had learned along his journey of life. Unfortunately there was absolutely nothing that would give him what he called, "Invisibility", and learning one is simply not an option. He was a sitting duck alright, but a powerful sitting duck.

If he decide to attack him, he would have no choice but to kick him down volcano, literally. He hoped that it won't come to that kind of situation. Unlike last time, he had an ally to protect, and that means commiting suicide a second time is out of the question.

He hate to see what would happen next.

Sora was walking around... "He's here...", thought Sora... but it didn't matter... he continued his way around... like always.

[Xuan]

Riku was astounded when Sora walked away as if he never saw anyone, although he was a hundred and twenty percent sure that he had saw them. After their last encounter, he had expected a blood thirsty maniac to pound on them when he got a chance, but the fact that he didn't just made him angry for no reason. But still, he should calm down and wait.

Something didn't feel right to him. Normally, the Gods would've dropped one of their little surprises down to the battlefield. The fact that they didn't only served to worry him more. he stared at the huge hole of the volcano.

Beneath it was the what he supposed, 'hell fire'.

He really hoped that he wouldn't need to face those nightmares he had conjured upon his minds.

"Riku... I know that you can hear me trought mind... Sorry for that battle... She drove me crazy... with her words... but now... I want to revenge upon her for them!!!", thought Sora... and tears started to drop down from eyes.

Stahn grimaced as he slipped on the mountainside, falling back a few feet. "Augh..." If I had Dymlos, this would be so much easier. He rolled over on one of the cliffs about a third of the way up. "That...was too much." I'm such an idiot. How did I lose Dymlos? He lay there, panting for a few minutes. "I don't think I can get up to the top..." No matter, as long as I'm safe from the flames... He closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep. Only for a few minutes...

Like the launch of a merciless race—the first would rejoice victory, and the last would flounder deep into their own arrogant impulsiveness, or perhaps a lack of it? Sakura could recognize both teammates and her rivaled adversaries both overtaking her slothful self, lapsing into a screen of black vapor. “Fly card. Help me out!” Sakura exhumed her own baton from its small knapsack. Two wings protruded from each side; they were an ashen, colorless shade, and feathery to the touch, just like an angel’s. Sakura prompted herself for a takeoff, and darted into the eerie smoke above, although unsure where she was headed to.

Riku could feel it again. His powers began to overwhelm his heart. Not even the strength needed to maintain three powerful spells at once could stop the constant increase of his powers.

"What is this pain? Argh!!!... my... heart..."

The pain struck again and again as his composure begin to falter, his teeth gritting. He must force the excess power out of his heart before he can take no more and explode!

Riku forced his powers into his body and widened his senses to the widest possible limit. All the sudden, he felt as if he was the land and land itself. He was the volcano itself, the bubbling heat of lava, the shuddering rock of melting fire; he was the air around him, the raging oxygen that threatened to tear the lungs out of any living man, the killing wave of heat transported like lightning across the medium of gas.

But he is also the enemy, the girl that's struggling to crawl up this hellish mountain, the man that's struggling below his feet, unable to climb up because his sword was lost. They are his enemy. And his enemy MUST BE ELIMINATED!

Riku had completely lost his mind. He began to form uncountable Icicles out of nowhere on the sky and began to flung them down, each of the projectile acting under his will. They would not miss, and they are as powerful as himself! The enemy shall DIE! Even if they didn't, would have no chance to take this...

An Iceberg began to form on top of his head...

OOC: Don't worry, you just need to take care of the Icicles, I'll take care of the rest... needed to make this more interesting...

Stahn leapt up. His rest had done him good. The young warrior looked up at the mountain, and sighed. Still, I have to try. He jumped, grabbing the rocky surface, and began to climb.

It was fairly uneventfulm up until the point he found a river. Not just any river, mind you, a river filled with magma.

"Great..." Stahn sighed, sitting down. "How am I gonna cross-" Something glimmered in the flowing lava. It was a red-hilted blade. It was... "Dymlos!?" Stahn rushed to the edge of the river. It was hot, and sweat was pouring off of him. "Dymlos! Wake up!"

The blade shimmered, and started to levitate slowly out of the magma. "S-Stahn? What happened?" The Swordian hovered over to the blonde-haired warrior, and set itse;f into the earth.

Stahn reached for the handle, "You slipped from my hand when we got transported. I guess you just appeared somewhere else." His hjand grasped the hilt, and then shot back. "Augh..."

"I'm still burning, you'll have to wait." Dymlos stated. "Twit."

Stahn rolled his eyes, and waited a few minutes. "How did you survive?"

Dymlos sighed, "I'm the Swordian of Flame, I think I can handle a bit of fire." The blade shuttered, and lifted from the ground. "Let's go."

Stahn grabbed the blade, and smiled, "Good to have you back, Dymlos."

"It's good to be back..."

"What's happening??", shouted Sora "Riku, what have you done???"

And the... it happemed... Sora lost his balance, cause, he was hit by icicle..... And he fell... in wrong side... He fell in Volcano... everything was in slow motion... Sora was afraid... he wrapped himself in light.. but for how long it will protect hims in Volcano..
"RIKU!!!!", shouted Sora, hoped, that he will help... And Sora fell..

The formation of Iceberg above Riku grew larger and larger. But still, it wasn't enough to stop the excess flow of power from his heart! He must stop it, and to stop it he must continue to pour out power! Out... OUT!!!

It was no longer a mere iceberg. It was a mountain. As Riku eyes began to flash madness, he was ready to throw the ice mountain downwards and kill everyone. Who cares whether those below him is friend or foe... He'll crush EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!

Riku!

Abruptly, the flow of power was stopped. Riku finally returned to normal as the abnormally large power subsided into nothingness. The last thing he remember was relief, and he was gone.

Sora... Kairi... Everyone... I'm sorry.

Memories, and sleep.

While Riku was unconscious, the ice mountain that he has created slowly floated down to the volcano's mouth and sank into the molten lava, freezing everything that got in its path.

But the ice mountain was not enough to suck all the heat from the unbelievably hot volcano. No, not at all. The volcano might stop erupting for now, but not for long. Soon enough, it will begin. The rain of fire will start again.

Riku continued to sleep, completely oblivious to the surroundings around him.

He might not be able to wake up from this final struggle of heart.

OOC: Ok! last post, I'm leaving. I was hoping for someone to fight, but it's too late lol. Oh yeah, no cheating by kicking an unconscious person down the mountain lol.

Altair didn't understand anything that happened to him but he knew one thing. This Riku is unbelievably powerful. Then the the ice mountain the Riku formed fell down into the mountain's lava. He then turned and saw Riku down on the ground. Altair then carefully picked him up. He then moved and places him on a little cliff that was covered from eyes below by a large boulder that must have fell. He then sat down next to Riku and waited for him to come back.

Lucas smiled as he arrived in this terrain. Every form of fire surrounded the area-- magma, lava, everything. He loved this. This would give Lucas the opportunity to hone his PK Fire skills. He was sure of this, though he had to be careful. In a second, his skin could be burned to ashes. He gulped loudly as he took a step forward, exploring this new place.

Climbing the heated rock, Ashe's sweaty soot-covered face was glistening in the lava's glow. She finally got to the top, and looked down into the bright orange pool. "Now that I'm here what do I do", she asked.

Sitting down on the rim of the opening, Ashe awaits someone, a friend or enemy, to meet her at the top.

As if on cue, Yuna decided to make her appearance then. She hoisted herself up the opposite rim of the volcanoe and stood there, looking at Ashe.

"Here we are, princess," she spoke, startling the princess, "No one to help you. You ready?"

A stong quake in the earth and the volcano explodes. Sliding down the volcano edge, Ashe finds a rock that won't be destroyed by the lava. Noticing a crevasse nearby, she jumps into that crack, finding a cold rock at the bottom.

Sitting on the cold rock, Ashe pulls some flint and tinder out of her pack. Jumping back up to the surface, Ashe sees a burnt tree. taking the tree, she jumps back down and with a single whisper, "Firaga", Ashe has a ramshackle camp up.

Taking a deep breath, Ashe slowly sits down, quieting her aching muscles. Beading the sweat off her face with her cloak, Ashe takes a sip of water, then pours the rest on a rag.

Finally reaching the top, Ashe pulls herself up, but only slightly seeing what is going on.

Sephiroth was overcome with a sudden pain in his right arm. Ever since the collision with the boulder, all vital body movements have been weakened, leaving him vulnerable for some time. He would need to find sanctuary, and wait until he was able to fight once more...

Stepping back, Ashe suddenly slips again, falling headfirst down the mountain. Jumping up she notices she is at the base again. Going back to her camp to heal her wounds, she decides to rest for a little bit.

With a grunt, Omega-Xis led the blue bomber up the side of the volcano. The alien had been mad ever since they got split up from Zero. MegaMan was fine with it, but Omega-Xis really wanted to finish that battle. They could count that as another interrupted battle against Zero.

“I can’t believe our battle was interrupted again!” Omega-Xis shouted as he pulled the blue warrior around. “Let’s get moving, kid!”

MegaMan sighed, almost losing his footing as the alien dragged him around. He knew that the only way to cool down Omega-Xis was to fight Zero again, but they were sure that they would get attacked by another opponent first.

...So in the meantime, a resting session would be best...

Sephiroth, amidst the turmoil of the Hellish environment, had managed to locate a cave in which to rest and rejuvenate. He entered cautiously, making sure not to disturb anything that may already reside here. When all seemed clear, Sephiroth let down his guard, as well as his blade, and rest himself against a wall. The wall was too thermogenic, however, so he cast a small blizzard spell to cool himself down.

He gazed out the mouth of the cave, taking in the scenery of fire and lava. The brightness of the outside world contrasted too greatly with the dimness of the cave's interior, however, and forced Sephiroth to look away.

"When will this game be over...?" Sephiroth sighed as he cast another small blizzard.

Yuna saw Ashe jump off the volcano and was stunned. "Now I don't have anyone to fight... Valefor, come out!" She twirled her staff and summoned Valefor. She jumped on it's back and it flew her around the wasteland, searching for someone to fight. There was no way she could spend her time in this stage doing nothing.

Stahn growled, I won't give up! He continued on through the fire and flames, through the pain and suffering. He would make it to the top if it killed him. Which it might. Rivers of magma surged down from the tip of the mountain, impeding progress, and rocks from random explosions of the volcano continued to hail down on the young warrior.

"Truly a trial by fire..." Dymlos commented.

"Shut it..." Stahn panted as he leapt over a smaller stream of lava. "You're not helping..."

Surprisingly, the interior of the cave let off a somewhat cool draft. Sephiroth let loose on the blizzard spell and moved closer, cooling himself and bringing feeling back into his arm. He was able to look out the cave now, and saw the volcano looming above the terrain out in the distance. He was given the objective to reach the top of the volcano, but knew he couldn't carry out such a feat in the state he was in.

Might his other team members already have reached the summit? He had not seem hide nor tail of them, so assuming this was perfectly logical.

But what did he know of logical behavior? Throughout the course of this entire game, nearly all of Sephiroth's actions and ideas were as far off from logical as he was from the volcano summit. He would need more wise, and more strategic, if he is to survive.

Yukimura ran a quick check over his body, scanning his rib cage. "Intact?... How could this be." All his bones had strenghtened once again, the pain had gone. His vision wasn't blurry at all, it was odd. He had lost a considerable amount of blood from his last fight.

Consequently he noticed that the landscape had changed once more. "If this is your idea of a joke gods, you shall feel my sharp edge."

Riku easily sidestepped the clumsy approach as he raised his Keyblade, ready to end the enemy's life. But before he could do so, a huge eruption occured as the magnitude of the explosion startled him.

And then a tonne of molten rock came crashing down upon them.

Seriously annoyed that his near death scenarios always had something to do with huge stupid rocks, he kicked Wander off the mountain and left him plummeting towards the bottom of the mountain where certain death would claim him. He then flashed away from the site of impact just a few seconds earlier before the rock crashed. There was a terrible shaking like a eighteen scale earthquake before everything calmed down.

He did not know whether the enemy had survived and stopped his fall.

All he cares is that he would not be flattened by anymore stones, and that no brave warrior that was teleported here should be crushed to death by stones either.

At least, he would die by another warrior's hand.

Wander stumbled forward after he missed his target. He turned, poised to attack again but was shaken when the large eruption occured. He stumbled back a few steps, closer to the edge. As he regain his balance he felt something connect with his chest as he was pushed back off the side. Riku had kicked him off the large ledge.

Wander watched as wind swept by his face. Out of instinct he quickly dug through his bag while falling, looking for another one of Dormins items. It took him no time at all to find the Cloth of Desperation. He grabbed it and flung it out while still holding onto it. The cloth caught the air in it and Wander's fall was abruptly slowed down. He gently landed on a protruding ledge, the one he would have died on if it were not for the gift from Dormin.

He put the cloth back into his bag, hoping he wouldn't have to use it again. He looked up and found he was once agian at the bottom of the volcano. A whole afternoon of climbing for nothing. He cursed the boy under his breath. If they were to meet again he would be sure to get some form of revenge. Putting his thoughts aside he began to once again scale the walls of the volcano.

Its jagged, stone earth obtruded into Sakura’s flimsy sandals, making her feet twinge with an awful tautness. The weight of her compilation of stones pulled her down like an anchor. She rested them on the potholed earth, supporting them in a rather large hole in the ground. Their soot that they had stashed away left blotches of black on Sakura’s arm. She wasn’t aware, however. Sakura’s mind was active with the sight of somebody else before her. She could recall his name very loosely. Zero was it?

Zero’s movements were very conventional, and so Sakura was entirely prepared for it. “Through card, let’s go!” An eerie vibe engulfed her; Sakura’s body became a near translucent, colorless embodinent. You could nearly see through her. Zero’s swift-moving bullets were a vivid emerald in color, an intense, elegant gush of green that fired into Sakura, yet moving on right through! She swung her baton back, launching herself into the air. Were her moves just as predictable as Zero’s?

His eyes narrowed as the hunter drew his beam sabre, the weapon bathed in an emerald glow calling for the blood of his enemies... the original programing....

Zero in a second calculated the probable moves of the girl and drew his sabre, ready to meet her head on...
