Hey, how come on Kingdom hearts one, when you are sora, and you have a flashback of Kairi's grandmother. Didn't Kairi come to the island alone, and what about her parents?
Oh, and another question, haha, what about riku's parents? I mean, you have cutscenes of Sora's mum (sort of) and cutscenes of Kairi's grandmother, but nothing on riku lol.....?

*Shrugs* It's....just the way Nomura (The creator of KH) decided to go about it, I guess.

Maybe he didn't find them really important and just decided to leave them out, OR, he might bring them in one of the games coming out. (probably not going to happen but we never know with Nomura....)

Yeah they do tend to ruin everything with their bossy-like behavior, or Nomura wants to keep them a mystery!!!!! :eek:

yes Kairi came to the islands alone, the flashback was before she came. The scene was staged in the library of hollow bastion. As to everything else. it just how the story went thats all.

Maybe her parents turned into Heartless, and her grandmother was the only one that could take care of her. Then, when the darkness invaded Hollow Bastion, she found her way to Destiny Islands, just as Sora's heart led him to Traverse Town when the islands were invaded. We already know that Sora's mom exists, but we don't know about her life or what she looks like. As for Riku's parents, nobody will ever know unless Nomura reveals it in BBS or Kingdom Hearts III.

actually she didnt arrive on destiny islands of her own accord, she was sent their by Xehanort.

wat im confused about is kairi being the princess of hollow bastion, if thats true since ansam was the king doesnt that make them related? i may be getting the story mixed up but ive been wondering about that. If they are related they didnt really act like it when ever they encounterd each other at the end.

there was no royalty in Hollow bastion. Ansem was just the wise ruler, and about Kairi shes a princess of heart, not a princess of any particular world. Hope that clears it up for u.

I was wondering about parents also because I played KHII before KHI, and I was shocked to hear Sora's mom's voice. The kids show no concern for their parents during th whole adventure. They spend like 2 years away! lol that's kinda effed up! Then at the end of KHII they act as if they weren't gone for all that time. Their parents probably went mad without their kids. Then, as soon as they get back, THEY GO ON ANOTHER ADVENTURE! i guess they really don't like their families. Parents would be unnecessary to the plot since they've gotten so far without them, but it would be interesting to see how they could be worked into the story. Or at least mention them more than "Sora, dinner's ready"
