the best swordsman to me would def have to be...Sephiroth. God Of The Sword *angels decend from heaven, look at sephiroth and explode* Ahh wow that was random :D

my fav sword is def the sword odin uses in FFVII

my favorite swordman from the final fantasy sereis is defanitly tied between cloud and sephiroth especially when they fight in advent children:)

Well my favourite swords are, in game order:

Cloud: Ultima Weapon
Sephiroth: Masamune
Odin: Zanetsuken
Squall: Ultimate Gunblade - Lionheart
Seifer: Hyperion Gunblade
Zidane: Masamune
Zidane: Ultma Weapon
Steiner: Excalibur
Auron: Beastmaster Katana
Paine: Skull Sword of Darkness

My favourite is probably Squall's Ultimate Gunblade, Lionheart, and my favourite swordsman is probably Auron.

I've never got Steiner's Excalibur II, but I'm guessing that would be on the list if I had.

Squall.. If his gunblade counts him as being a swordsman. Lionheart limit break was awesome. 4-8 hits on Renzokuken and like 23423432 on Lionheart. So much 9,999's
