Miss Lockheart

Right here we go- time to make a story. Basically you can write about anything you want, and make it as long as you want too, as long as you write in pairs if you have a partner. It's up to you to work as a team, if you're in one, and come up with something good.

Here are the teams-

ET- Miss Lockheart, wzrdto5 if he still wants ^^

TKL- Tidus_Shuyin, cbchick

HE- 4thkeybladeholder, ForgottenMemory

May the best writer win :D

Here's mine and Will's first chapter, hope this goes well :)

Chapter 1.

"So, what is it you're really looking for?"

Axel turned his head, taken aback by this sudden question. His mind had been working overtime, turning over the events of the last few weeks, again and again. So much of it made no sense to him, but of course, that was nothing new to Axel. How much of his existence had ever made sense? Here he was, flitting between worlds, looking for some small piece of reality he could grasp in his hands, but what exactly was that? Hearing that very question shooting into his ears from someone else caused Axel to lose his train of thought, leaving a blank void once more.

"Don't make me laugh, Leon" Axel replied, suddenly embarrassed by his silence. He had been sent to interrogate Leon, as the Organization knew he had been helping the Keyblade Wielder, the one they knew as 'Sora'. Axel knew that Leon had probably sensed that his mind wasn't exactly on the job.

"Fascinating, really. And here I was thinking that you Organization XIII members had no feelings....."

"Get over yourself, Leon!" snapped Axel. "I have a job to do. Didn't come here expecting a psyche lesson from a guy who likes fur collars..."

"Petty, just petty," replied Leon, barely moving an inch. Leon's straight poise and cool head irritated Axel. He could never understand how anyone could appear so calm, so un-phased by the chaos unravelling itself around him. Hollow Bastion was once more under siege. The Organization seemed sure that the Keyblade Wielder would have to make his return soon, and they had to be ready for him, and his unusual guardians. Axel had been surprised by how ruthless the Organization had become in their manhunt. He and Leon had been watching for the past three hours as hordes of Nobodies had gathered in every corner of this solemn, almost deserted town, with its huge dilapidated fortress leaning over it like a tree that steals the light from the flowers at the base of its trunk, casting an eternal shadow.

Axel had an overwhelming feeling that he should be out there, elsewhere.... anywhere, just not here, trapped in this small building where he had placed Leon to be guarded. He had to be sure that Leon couldn't help if the Keyblade Wielder showed up. The tiny house suffocated him, and Leon's placid demeanour made him want to set him on fire, just so he could only once see him show some kind of emotion.

"Tell me something, Axel. Is there anyone in this world that you care for?"

"I'll ask the questions around here, you know where the Keyblade Wielder is, and I wanna know...."

"My question startles you, you're hiding something."

Finding it hard to focus, Axel could feel something rising up into his chest from his stomach, almost choking him. Was it anger, hate? Or was it intense sadness?

"You don't have to hide it, Axel. You're feeling. I doubt we'll be moving from this house any time soon, so why not just let it out now? Do you have a heart in there somewhere?"

This was too much. How dare this enemy try to understand the complexity of being an Organization member? Axel knew he no longer had a heart, so how was it that he could feel so much anger and pain? How could Leon attempt to understand something that he himself couldn't understand?

Only one word could find its way out of Axel's mouth-

"Roxas..."

"Hmmm?" Leon looked surprised for once.

"Roxas," Axel repeated, suddenly lost for any other word. That was what he had been looking for, and had caused such pain to rise in his chest. Roxas made him feel, and Axel wanted to know why.

"Who is this 'Roxas'? Is he a friend of yours? Another member of Organization XIII?" Leon was once again probing, but this time he seemed genuinely concerned. The cool exterior was gone. Axel felt his guard lower.

"I don't know, I don't know what he is anymore. I just know I want to find him. Then I can find out why...."

"Why what?" Axel could tell that Leon didn't want him to trail off. Leon's sudden interest was almost creepy.

"Why I can feel things that people with a heart can...."

Leon leaned back in his chair, taking it in. He had a puzzled look on his face, like he was trying to solve an impossible equation.

"I've been trying to understand how you Organization members work, what's going on in those minds. You seem so ruthless, and you constantly test the Keyblade Wielder's strength. But whose side are you really on? I saw how you fought against Maleficent, you must have known that you were somehow helping.... heh, it's almost like each of you has a different motive!"

Axel looked up at Leon. His head had been hung, resting on his chest, his scarlet hair hanging down around his face. Weary from this endless battle with his own emotions. Yet he couldn't help but almost smile- he'd been thinking the same thing about his own comrades since day one.

Leon read the agreement in Axel's half-smile. It was almost comfortable, having someone else sharing the same thoughts.

"So then, what is it you're really looking for, Leon?" Axel turned the question back, trying not to feel awkward about this rare moment of understanding.

"Me?" Leon sighed. "I guess I'm looking for..... myself."

"Did you lose it, or never really have it?"

"Lost it, I guess. We only ever miss what we had before." Leon turned away to look out of the window.

Axel's mind turned back to Roxas. Seeing him like that in Twilight Town, he'd seemed so alive surrounded by those other kids. So.... happy. Pushing that image from his mind, Axel thought of the way he remembered Roxas the most, in his hooded black cloak that all Organization members wore without question. He knew Roxas had hated the cloak, whilst he himself never even thought about it....

Prologue

Night had come to end. Soon. but slowly, was raising sun. High the sky, revealing a small peaceful village. Its houses were in small count. Without deep looking no one could see what’s hidden behind trees. It was elder’s house, hidden behind a wall of trees. In village everything was calm, for peoples still were sleeping. But not quiet all. A girl was running trough village to disturb some sleep.

Chapter 1

“Rick, wake up!” shouted girl.
“Wha…?” muttered Rick
“Come on, stop sleeping and get out of bed!” said girl.
“Okay, okay.”, replied Rick and got out of bed, “There. Are you happy Mei?”
“Come on! We have to head for Elder’s house!”, said Mei.
“Why? What’s wrong?”, asked Rick.
“Well, I don’t know exactly. I woke up early and there was this note, that we have to head for Elder’s house.”, explained Mei.
“I hope it’s really important..”, said Rick.
“Come on!”, shouted Mei and ran out from house.
“Hey, wait up!”, shouted Rick from behind.

When they finally got to Elder’s house, sun was already up in sky.
“Okay, I’m nervous…”, said Rick.
“Why?”, asked Mei and looked at Rick’s face. She saw his nervous look.
“Well, after all, this is my first time in Elder’s House.”, replied Rick.
“Calm down.”, said Mei, “It’s okay! Trust me, it’s not awful inside!”
“But those stories…”, started Rick.
“Could you finally think with your own head?”, asked Mei, angrily, “Don’t believe them! They are stories by those, who haven’t been in house!”
“Well, if you say so..”, said Rick, still nervous, but less. Mei knocked to doors.
“Come in.”, said old man’s voice.

When they got inside, Rick looked around. House even didn’t match the stories about it. Rick started to calm down, completely.
“So, you are here first time, right?”, asked Elder.
“Y-Yes.”, nodded Rick, and was little scared for these first words directly to him.
“There are many stories, which we’ve heard. And every story has a little true in it. But in this case, stories were made by peoples, who don’t know even that little part.”, said Elder.
“Yeah. They even haven’t seen a bit of house inside.”, said Mei. Then, she turned at Rick, “See, I told you, that nothing is true about it.” Rick nodded and finally, completely calmed down.
“If I may ask… Why we were called here?”, asked Rick.
“Oh, I see you want to start already your task!”, said Elder.
“What task?”, asked Rick.
“Before I tell you, I have a question. Have you heard story about Stone of Life?”, asked Elder.
“Well, yes, of course! I mean, who hasn’t?”, said Mei.
“Actually… Actually I haven’t.”, said Rick, with face beet red. Mei turned at him after her face, Rick knew, that she was surprised.
“Yes, I haven’t. Because, as you know, my parents disappeared long time ago. People said, that they drowned.”, said Rick, now feeling down.
“I’m so sorry Rick. I knew that they disappeared, but I didn’t know…”, said Mei.
“Don’t worry, it’s okay.”, said Rick.
“Eventually, you will find out the truth, young Rick, but now, Mei, could you please tell in short version the story?”, asked Elder.
“Yes.”, she nodded and started to speak, “They say, that it’s with mystical powers. It can give immortality and even can revive someone from death.”, Mei took a deep breath and continued, “Well, but that’s a story about boy, who accidentally found it and got in some big adventure. Anyway, it’s just a story.”
“Ah, but you are wring, my child. The Stone of Life exists.”, said Elder.

Chapter 2

“What?”, asked Mei and Rick together.
“Yes, it exists..”, nodded Elder.
“But how? How is that possible?”, asked Mei.
“It was discovered by man, who was long time ago here. But he didn’t take it. He left it in its resting place – deep into this jungle.”, said Elder and pointed out of window.
“And I presume you want us to find it?”, asked Rick.
“Yes, my child, I want you to find it.”, said Elder.
“If that is what Elder wishes, we will do it.”, said Mei.
“Thank you.”, said Elder.
“But how we are gonna find this stone?”, asked Rick.
“Your heart will tell you. I was told that you lately see weird dreams, am I right?”, asked Elder.
“Yes… There are my parents and some kind of object. Now I know what it is. It’s Stone of Life. ”, said Rick.
“You’ve seen truth, my child. And now go. This day is free for you/ Tomorrow will be training for mission.”, said Elder. Rick left house.
“Is it really true, grandfather?”, asked Mei.
“Yes. And now go. Rest fully for tomorrow.”, said Elder. It turned out, that he is Mei’s grandfather.

Rick went down to beach. For it was his calm place. He rejected every stepparent, because he wanted to treasure his own real ones. So all these years he lived alone. He stared at horizon. Words repeated in his head: “Heart will show you the way.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He opened them and said: “My life is turning upside down.”, and sat down to ground.
Mei saw him from distance, but didn’t go to him. She had some things to do before tomorrow. She went to her house and told parents the news. Parents were little frightened, but in meantime knew, that it can’t be escaped. It was their daughter’s destiny to find the stone.

In next morning they started their training. They learned how to survive, find food in middle of jungle and even make useful things for the journey. At end of lessons, they had to go into the jungle, but not far deep for task. They had to bring some food from it.

Chapter 3

All day was tiring. But at evening, they both went to beach.
“So, tomorrow then.”, said Mei.
“Yes, tomorrow we are heading for stone.”, replied Rick.
“Are you afraid?”, asked Mei.
“A little, but that’s okay, I guess…”, said Rick.
“Well, you know, I’m afraid too.”, she said.
“Them, we are like same.”, said Rick.
“There is a secret I’ve kept for a time.”, said Mei.
“M?”, surprised was Rick.
“Maybe I should tell you. Maybe we won’t…”, she stopped talking, after these words.
“Don’t say that! I promise, we will return back with that stone.”, said Rick.
“Thank you.”, said Mei and put her head on Rick’s shoulder.
“Uhmm… Mei?”, was only thing, that he could say.
“My secret is.. I love you Rick.”, she finally said. Now, her face was beet red. Rick couldn’t speak. His mouth opened, like he wanted to say something, but again closed. He put his face neat Mei’s and kissed her.
“I love you too, Mei.”, said Rick. They were sitting on beach all evening. They were talking.

On next day they started their journey. They entered deeper into jungle for their journey.
“Elder said, that cave is in middle of joungle.”, said Mei.
“Is there something you want to tell me?”, asked Rick.
“He is my grandfather.”, said Mei.
“I thought so.”, replied Rick. Further they continued without talking. Suddenly, Rick stopped, but Mei continued her way.
“Mei, wait! It’s a…”, said Rick, but it was too late. Ground started to shake and ground under Mei’s feet disappeared.
“Rick!”, she shouted. Luckily, she made it to catch with her hands the side of safe ground.
“Mei, hold on!”, shouted Rick. He jumped forwards, drooped on his knees and took Mei’s hands.
“Pull me up!”, she shouted.
“Mei, try to push up with your legs!”, he shouted and she did it. Rick got her up safely. Then, Mei hugged him.
“It’s okay. You are safe now.”, said Rick.
“How are we going to cross that?”, asked Mei. Rick got up and drew out axe. With it, he cut down the nearby tree. It fell over the hole, making a safe bridge over it.
“Okay. Let’s move!”, said Rick. They got on other side safe and sound.
“Look, there is the entrance!”, said Mei.
“But it’s sealed…”, said Rick. Mei went closer.
“There are some letters. They are in ancient language.”, she said. Rick went closer too.
“It’s a riddle.”, said Rick.
“How did you…?”, asked Mei.
“Well, being alone is boring. So I studied.”, Rick replied.
“Oh…”, said Mei.
“It says: What you care of? Speak right and path will open. Speak wrong and it will close forever.”, translated Rick.
“Ourselves! That’s the answer!”, shouted Mei.
“I don’t know..”, said Rick quietly. He closed his eyes. Words repeated in head again: Heart will show you the way. Then, he saw parents in front of him. He opened eyes, went closer to wall and touched some letters on it. Everything started to shake.
“What did you type?”, asked Mei.
“Family.”, said Rick. Path was open. And there inside were standing man and woman. “Who are you?”, asked Mei. Rick looked closer into their faces.
“Mom…? Dad..?”, he asked. In front of Mei and Rick were standing Rick’s parents.

Chapter 4

Rick walked closer to what appeared to be his parents. He slowly placed his hand on his
Mother's shoulder but as he did, his hand went right through her and both his parents slowly
faded away.

"Mom! Dad!" Rick yelled as they faded away.
Mei walked over to him and hugged him. Rick began to cry.
"Rick...we'll save them. Don't worry." Mei said trying to comfort him.
"thanks Mei." Rick smiled.
"No problem. Now, let's go find this Stone of Life." Mei replied.

As they walked deeper into the cave. Rick noticed something.
"Oh no..." he sighed.
"What is it?" Mei asked looking at him.
"We're at a fork in the path." Rick explained.
"Should we split up?" Mei asked again.
"I don't think it's a good idea to split up." He suggested.
"Ok, well which path do you wanna take?" Mei said looking at the two paths.
"Hmm....Let's take the left one." Rick replied as he walked down that path. Mei followed.

As they were walking, Mei stopped. Rick kept going.
"Rick!! Stop!" Mei yelled but it was too late.
In a matter of minutes Rick was hanging upside down.
Mei silently laughed.
"I can't believe I didn't see this coming." Rick said.
"I told you to stop." Mei laughed.
"Just get me down Mei." He replied.
"Ok ok." Mei said as she took the axe from Rick and cut the rope. Rick fell to the ground.
"Ouch.." he said rubbing his head.
"You ok now?" Mei giggled.
"Yeah yeah." Rick replied.

Chapter 5

They finally reached the far end of the cave when Mei noticed something glowing in the far
distance.
"Rick look!" Mei said pointing at the glowing object.
"C'mon Mei." He replied as they both walked towards the object.

As they got closer to the object, it became more visible to see. Rick smiled and ran towards
the object.
"Rick wait!" Mei yelled running after him.
Rick stopped in front of the object and looked at it. Mei came up behind him.
"What is it?" Mei asked.
"The Stone of Life." Rick explained.
"It is?!" Mei said surprised.

As she did, a loud sound came from behind a wall. Mei hid behind Rick as he looked around.
The wall broke in half as a large creature came in. Behind it was a powerful wizard.
Rick and Mei slowly backed up. The wizard smiled as he walked over to them.

"I can't let you take the Stone of Life." The wizard said.
"Why is that?" Rick asked.
"Because..many people have been after it and they only use it for the bad. It's supposed
to be a secret. It wasn't supposed to exist." The wizard explained.
"Why not?" Mei also asked.
"Well because...it was used before for the evil and brought back an evil person.
It caused massive damage to the world and it had to be destroyed, but somehow it came back
to life." he said.
"Well, we are not going to use it for the evil." Rick replied.
"I still can't let you take it." The wizard said as he summoned a creature.

A large creature appeared and surrounded Mei and Rick.

"I am sorry. Bahamaut attack!" The wizard said as he dissappeared.
"Damn! Mei get behind me!" Rick yelled as he drew his axe.
"Rick. I wanna help." Mei suggested.
"But you don't have a weapon." He replied.
"I know, but you do." Mei said looking at his pocket.
Rick drew out another sword and handed it to Mei.
"Be careful Mei." He said as he handed her the sword.
Mei nodded. "I will." she said.
They both got ready as Bahamaut ran towards them.

Mei jumped up as Rick stayed on the ground. She attacked the creature's backside.
The creature through its arm at her but she dodged the attack as she jumped back down
next to Rick.

"I think I hit him." She said.
"Good. Now it's my turn!" Rick said as he ran at the Bahamaut.

It smiled as it casted fire on Rick, knocking him down. Mei ran over to him.
"Are you ok Rick?" She asked helping him up.
"Yea I think so." Rick replied as he stood up. "Watch out!" He yelled as he pushed Mei
out of the way.

Mei fell to the ground. She sat up as Rick was clashing with Bahamaut.
Rick was thrown to the ground as Bahamaut was up in the air. Mei looked up as she
saw Bahamaut summoning his most dreadful attack. She then looked back over to Rick.

"Oh no..." Mei said as she quickly stood up.
Bahamaut was finished summoning his attack and attacked Rick. Before the attack hit Rick,
Mei ran over to him and stood in front of him. She began to cry. Rick slowly woke up.

Chapter 6

"Mei what're you doing?" Rick asked as he looked at her and then at Bahamaut.
"No...Mei don't do it!" He yelled.
"I'm sorry Rick..." Mei replied.
"No! Mei!!" Rick shouted as he quickly stood up.
Mei pushed him out of the way as the attack hit her. After, Mei slowly fell to the ground.
"Mei!!!" Rick yelled as he ran back over to her.
"Mei wake up!" He kept saying but nothing happened. He stood up and looked at Bahamaut.
"Now you die!" Rick screamed as he drew his axe and jumped at it.

He constantly attacked Bahamaut until it fell to the ground. Rick stood over it and casted
firaga on it, destroying it.He dropped his axe and fell to his knees. The wizard appeared and
placed the stone next to Rick. He looked up.

"You need it more than I do." The wizard said.
"What?" Rick said confused.
"I see that you wanna use the stone for good and not evil." The wizard explained.
"Thanks." Rick replied.
The wizard smiled as he faded away.
Rick stood up and walked over towards Mei. He picked her up and walked back towards the
village. As he entered the village Elder walked over and saw Mei.
"What happened?" Elder asked.
"We we're attacked by Bahamaut. I was in a bad situation and she protected me by taking the
hit for me" Rick explained.
"I'm gonna use the stone on her." Rick said with determination.
"Are you sure?" Elder asked.
"Yes. She means the world to me besides my parents." He replied.
"Alright." Elder said.

"I'm sorry mom and dad." He said sadly as he used the stone to bring Mei back to life.
"Mei..." Rick said softly.
Mei slowly opened her eyes.
"I'm alive...?" She asked looking around.
"Yea. I used the stone on you." Rick smiled.
"But what about your parents?" Mei asked again.
"I guess I'll just have to try next time." He said sadly.
"I'm sorry." Mei said.
"No, don't be. I'm glad you're ok Mei. I love you." Rick said as he hugged her.
"I love you too Rick." Mei replied.

As they were hugging, the stone began to glow.
"Look." Mei said pointing at the stone.
"What's happening to it?" Rick asked.
"It's giving you another chance to use it. Your heart is very strong. That's what makes the stone
work." The wizard explained.
"Really?" Rick asked.
"Yes. Use it well." The wizard replied as he once again, disappeared.
"Go on." Mei said.
Rick stood up and walked over to the stone. He grabbed it, closed his eyes, and held it close to
his heart.
"Please bring my parents back." Rick said. The stone disappeared and Rick opened his eyes.
There standing next to Mei were both his parents.
"Mom! Dad!" He shouted as he ran over and hugged them.

Elder and Mei both smiled.
"You know he used the stone on you first." Elder said.
"Yea I know." Mei smiled.
"He really cares for you." Elder added.
"Grandfather, He means the world to me." Mei replied.
Elder smiled.
"You mean the world to him too." He said.

Epilogue

A few months had passed by and everything seemed great. Rick and his parents we're a family
again, they are closer than ever. Mei and Rick sat at the beach and watched the sunset. They
we're also closer than ever. Elder kept the stone in a safe place and hidden in a chest so no one
would ever be able to use it again for evil. Everything was peaceful once again and Rick never felt
alone again. His dreams had come true.
