What door does Sora open?

Alright, so all this KH3 and KH2:FM stuff got be to play KH1 all over again. So today I started playing it, and you know when Sora goes through all that "training" stuff while he stands on the floors of all the princesses (pretty much the very beginning of the game). After Sora defeats his big shadow (the first boss you ever face) there are those words that say: "Don't be afraid, and remember. You are the one who will open the door." Yeah what door is that, I thought Riku was the one who opened that door under that tree on the island, that is how he got the keyblade, and let the darkness consume his heart (which gave Sora the keyblade). So.............what door does Sora open??? Is it Kingdom Hearts or what???

You mean the door to Kingdom Hearts. Actually I think they didnt open the door exactly but more it forced it way open when the Heartless were going from world to world consuming them.

Xehanort's Heartless (as Ansem) opened the door thinking that darkness and power would flow out from it making him more powerful. As Sora then says "I realise now that Kingdom Hearts... is Light!" which destroys Xehanort's Heartless as he is weak from the battle with Sora. So... Sora indirectly opened the Door to the Light by defeating Xehanort's Heartless.

However, Mickey and Riku were on the dark side of the door, and apparently Mickey had been adventuring through that darkness - so I'm not sure how there was light to come through that door.

In Chain of Memories I think it was said again, but I think that was something to do with Sora remembering it.

The voice that Sora hears throughout the game is Ansem the Wise, not Xehanort in any form. The same voice is heard by Sora and Riku in Chain of Memories. Riku finally meets Ansem the Wise after defeating Ansem (Xehanort the memory). Ansem the Wise was DiZ at the time.

Nomura: Well, judging by what happens (in the game), one of them is obviously Sora. As for the other one, you could take it as either; there's both Riku and the King. And for the "two keys" after that, there are both the keys that Sora and the King have, but also there's the presence of Sora and Riku.

Well if it's the Door of Darkness, then it can't be the Door to the Light - unless from King Mickey's point of view (the Dark side of the Door) it was the Door to the Light and from Sora's view it was the Door to the Darkness. Ok, this has now stumped me - what a stupid door!

im not sure it was a door because traverese towns people come from worlds that were destroyed so once destiny islands got destoryed i guess he just appeared there and the same goes for twilight town

It's just a question, and he's wrong anyway.

I've recently found that the Door to the Light is a metaphor for the door to the light in Sora's heart. I'm not quite sure how I missed it:

Sora: Hey Riku...what do you think it was---the door to the light?

(Riku points to his heart)

Riku: This.

Sora: This?

Riku: Yeah. It's always closer than you think.

(Sora smiles)

Kairi: Sora! Riku!

(Kairi runs to them with a message in a bottle)

So it was revealed what the Door to the Light was in the Kingdom Hearts II ending, but we all missed it.
