So you all heard about Spears giving birth to her baby earlier this month.
But, Black and Latino girls get pregnant early on and there are no tabloids or newspapers after them.
It's just because she's famous for having a junkie for a sister.
I mean really, if The Spears were not famous at all, No one would GIVE A DAMN about that girl getting pregnant.
Any other people want input on this?
Firstly, not only black and latino girls get pregnant "early on".

Yes it was......but I think people shouldn't get pregent when they are teens, because they can't care for the child proberbly

My personal feelings are this:
Britney obviously has mental issues and having to have them plastered on the page is something I would never wish on anyone. She is dealing with some sort of demons from her past, and perhaps is seriously mentally ill and instead of being able to cope in private, she's being egged on by the paparazzi. THOSE people are the disgusting ones in every scenario. They're always trying to catch celebs at their worst.
I also believe that just because someone is in the public eye does not make their entire life our business.
That being said, Jamie Lynn's experiences are not unlike the tons of teens each year who end up pregnant. In most cases it's just being ill-prepared. In other cases, it's a cry for attention. I honestly think there are a greater amount of cases where the parents forced a "don't do it - period!" way of life on their children instead of saying "I'd rather you wait until marriage, but if you feel ready you should be safe and this is how to be safe..."
My mother talked to me about birth control and gave me the option to be on the pill at 16 and I took the chance for several reasons. Ten years later, I don't have a baby and I owe that to the fact that my mom was there to support my decision (and let me know I had a choice!).
I also had a lot of discussion over safety, and back in school, we had sex-ed and learned about the dangers of unprotected sex. Now, people feel this education promotes sex but what they don't see is that it promotes HEALTHY sex. If you feel ashamed over your urges, you are less likely to take steps to protect yourself.
I know there's a lot of talk about Jamie Lynn and the movie Juno glorifying teen pregnancy, but it's all in how the parents help their kids deal with these images. I personally think the movie Juno was a good role model because she gave up her child to someone who could care for it.
There's no need to be careless when it comes to sex, and in my opinion, pregnancy is the least of the worry these days. With all the STI's out there, it's a wonder people aren't being more careful. Most of these infections are incurable.
As someone's daughter, and as a future mother, I realize the only way to to truly instill good morals and good sexual behavior is to not deny the fact that it will happen because it will whether you want it to or not. Once parents come to grips with this, they may be better equipped to help their kids realize that the only sex they should be having is safe sex - when they're ready.
There. I'm done.

Thank you for the false stereotype on those beautiful races. You're definitely cool.
As for Jamie Lynn, so she had a baby. Who cares? Why make a big deal about it?

A lot of people like gossip.
The papparazi gives it to them.
Simple as that.
This is why I've never been interested in the high life, you slip once, it's the end of your career.

Yes, she is glorifying teen pregnancy, but that is how sad the US is now. This is more important news than the number of soldiers dying every day in a pointless war. But that is what America has become, the laughing stock of the entire world.

Haven't I already warned you about stereotyping? Any more and you'll get an infraction.

Jamie Spears' baby = lol
And Miss Lockhart I think he's actually pointing out the fact she GETS a stereotype, and that it is really a shame that she only gets this much attention because of that stereotype (fame, celebrityville, her sister, etc.). Just thought I'd share that.

Jamie Lynn probably wanted to get pregnant so she could get some attention. Shes just gonna be her sister (a loser) in the future. Its funny what people do these days just to get on a cover of a magazine..........

she's not glorifying it. and this thread is offensive.
her sister is not the reason the press is constantly
covering her story.
when a tv start gets pregnant, it's a big deal
to the production studios and stuff like that, so you were
actually wrong to have posted this.
It isn't just Jamie Lynn's pregnancy that's getting tabloid attention. It's the baby bump in general in Hollywood. Babies are the new tiny chihuaha stuffed in the designer purse. Every girl has to have one, and whoever has the cutest is the hottest thing in Hollywood. Look at the Jolie-Pitt's new twins. The mayor of the town practically made the kids objects of worship, and the attention they got drew attention away from a brutal murder in the city.
Of course, there is more than just that contributing to the teen pregancy problem. Economic situations, family, even abstinence-only education has been proven to be harmful. The fact that babies are fashionable now, though, is just another alarming contributor, and I hope the fad will pass soon. All these girls who are having babies just to have a baby (I'm looking at you, Gloucester HS) are going to have to learn that babies are not toys that you can just put up on a shelf when you're bored. They're a lifetime commitment, and not everything's like in Juno if you don't like how it's going.
