Welcome to the competition that is, Super Smash Forums War, a competition that will strain out the best of the best in rounds of RPG madness. You, by reading this, has displayed an interest in some way or another for the competition. This is a guide that will tell you everything you need to know.

Sign-Up:
When SSFW is announced there will always be a sign up thread to sign-up go to the designated thread and fill out a character sheet. You can tweak your character, but do not steal other peoples' characters, certain "Hall-of-Fame" characters are off limits including, Link, Megaman, Zero, Cecil Harvey, Bastila, and Sora. Also if you are a returning player you may want to try another character, one that you can relate to, and role-plaay as well. If you are a first time role-player it might help to practice on one of the many RPGs in this section.

To break down the character sheet:

Username: <Your KH3.org USERNAME>
Character Name: <Your characters name, full name is possible>
Hero or Villain: <Select which side you would like to join, you can make a hero a villain and vice versa>
Stars in: <Video-Game, Novel, Television Show, Movie>
Character attributes: <Describe your character and give a brief history>
Character Picture: <Find a good quality picture so we know who and what you look like>

A good example:
Username: Xuan

Character Name: Riku

Stars In: Re: CoM, KH2

Game platform: Play Station 2

Character Attributes: A 16 years old boy who once struggled in the Darkness to discover his true identity. Now, even though he still has his doubts, he understood what he should be doing, what he should protect. His friends. After KH2, he has encountered unimaginable events with the Gaming Gods and was involved in a do-or-die battle in a game called, "Super Smash Forum War". And although he and his allies fought their best, they lost. However, depite the devastating defeat and the curse of Gods - being turned into a statue - Riku has learned plenty along this treacherous journey, and is far more powerful than he once was. It was fortunate for everyone that the curse was not permanent, and before long all brave warriors was sent back to their homelands to live on. Sadly, that was not the end.

Feel free to suggest better names. But they must have something to do with your colors.

Every SSFW has a different team system to pair you up with various characters, whether it be, colors, heroes vs villains, video game consoles, or even alphabetically. You will need to come in contact with these people over and over again so you will want to interact with them via PM during the week as soon as you can.

ROUNDS:
Often time the first post of the rounds will be the most important, make sure you read the entire post before you post yourself, you will become confused if you don't and you may miss a very important detail.

The First battle of Super Smash Forums War begins today, April 25th. One person from each team will be eliminated daily according to how well he/she role plays. The rules for every round are as follows. (This is the introductipn to the round and provides a brief explanation, of steps to postround and future rounds. Make sure you read this all the way through because you may miss a date or time)

Round #1 Stage One: The Foot of Heaven (This is to remind you what round and stage you are currently on)

http://i31.tinypic.com/309sklj.png
(The picture it provided to give you a closer look at the terrain you are currently on, if you miss a detail while looking at the picture, it may cost you something important, usually rounds have details or goals and the illustrations help with imagery)
When a Mystic power pulls video game legends to the foot of heaven itself, an epic battle begins. The characters from the games themselves begin to battle in search of a way to free themselves from this prison of reality and back into their own worlds. The gods however threaten to destroy any who fall short of their expectations. When the characters are summoned to the foot of a giant mountain known only as "The Foot of Heaven" sparks fly as rivals, friends and even acquaintances begin to fight for survival. The Gaming Gods have tricks of their own to make this stage one to remember. (A brief paragraph to tie in the setting, letting you know where why how and what)

Start point:

Team Bases located in different extremes of the terrain each.
Every character is tele-transported, they have no idea about the reason, there will be a note board with the following written on it:

"Destroy the outsiders." (The objective of the round tells you what you need to achieve make sure you do this by the end of the round or you lose)

Posting:
When it comes to posting you want to be as detailed and pedantic as possible, meaning you want to go for a short well organized post that is above 3 sentences. If you want to see some previous SSFW rounds you always have the option of looking back, but make sure you spot the people who are making mistakes and learn from them. Roxas1994, ShikaX, Azure, and 4thkeybladeholder are good example to look at when rping. Make sure you provide all the required information in your post.

Eliminations:
After each round one person from each team will be eliminated, sometimes the person will be eliminated by teammates, judges or even bots. If you are eliminated and want to know why ask one of the people in charge and they will give you pointers of what to improve on, you should listen and not argue because they are only here to help. When you are eliminated you still have to option of cheering on your team and supporting them. Don't feel bad if you are eliminated because you always have time to improve.

Make sure you do not harass people or make fun of the eliminated all forum rules apply.

RULES:

General RPG rules:

Hello members. The RPG section will, from the first of June, apply Rules. Yes, that's right. We are trying to organize this Section as much as possible, and I consider we're needing some Rule-Enforcing here.

Here they are, the 12 essential Role-Playing Rules:

Role-Playing Essential Rules

# 1 - No asterix (*) in members' posts. This means that when Role-Playing, you cannot have content like:
*walks up to Roberto holding a cup of tea*
"Hey, this will make you feel better"
*Hands cup of tea to Roberto*

The way of Role-Playing should be the following one:

Moria walked up to Roberto, a hot cup of tea in her hands.
"Hey, this will make you feel better", she whispered, handing the cup into his frozen hands. Roberto smiled.

# 2 - No one-line posts. If you have not much to say, and it isn't enough to fill one-line of text, then fill it in using more adjectives, verbs, nouns, and any words that can make the post more interesting and interactive. Just if possible.

# 3 - No killing other Role-Player's Character unless you both hold an agreement about it and get a way of making it flow into the current storyline.

# 4 - The use of proper language is essential. This means no 'bad words' in the RPG. You know what these words are, no need to name them. (Or we could refer to them as "curse words", too).

# 5 - Trying to keep on storyline and not creating your own in every post would be appreciated. Yeah, you can build up your past a little, but try not creating a whole different story from the current RPG.

# 6 - No full OOC (Out of Content) posts unless it's truly neccesary.

# 7 - No use of Smilies when In-Content posts.

# 8 - No harassing other members about their characters, no arguing about their Role-Playing decisions. If you wish a Storyline to follow the Plot you desire, PM the respective Role-Player and agree in a way of making the Storyline between both characters as you both wish it.

# 9 - No overpowerful characters. i.e: "My character can't be injured because of this and that".
This makes the Storyline less interactive.

# 10 - Try creating characters that do not lack creativity. Think big and try to make the best character of them all when joining a RPG!

# 11 - No double-posting, and no General Chatting. If no one posts, either wait, or send them a PM to reply.

# 12 - No netspeak. i.e: "hey how r u i hope u r doin fine 2 day". This makes an RPG the WORST experience ever. Trust me.

# 13 - No God-Modding if possible. This means, controlling another character someone else is in charge to play in obvious excession. I will please ask you to take this rule in count. If you are stuck in a situation and the user you need to RP with you is not on, you are allowed to. Only if it's an emergency, though.

The Past and Present Tense
It will be please asked to members to role-play in the Past Tense, if possible. If you are not used to it, we can accept it, though. But it would be greatly appreciated that you tried to do so. Just trying, not obligatory.

From June 1st, these rules will start being enforced. So yes, please, do take them in count. I'm sure everyone wants their RPGs to be neat and clean.

NOTE:
Members who have their RPG's located on the Unlicensed RPG's Section may apply for acceptance after pulishing them enough to be graded, and if accepted, their RPG's will be moved to a suitable official Section by the Moderators.

SSFW Special rules:

Rules are up..

SSFW Special Rules:

*1. A character may not harm another character unless the person is willing, however, if someone is God mode-ing you may activate your rule watch, every character has one and our Enforcer Lockheart the Brilliant will act upon that.
2. Characters must have some inner thought, no pure action or dialogue, put some voice in your character by making them think.
*3. You must adhere to special events at all times, if you are engaged in a battle when a boss appears, stop what you are doing and eliminate it.
*4. Team-ups must be between the same color. No blues with reds or white, no greens with black or purple. You are all different branches of the same side, therefore none of you have ever heard or seen each other before.
5. No omniscient knowledge of the SSFW, you have no idea why or where you are, this is why you must use imagery words to describe well otherwise your score will be poor.
6. If you have a personal problem with a member take it to Miss Lockheart, Wzrdto25 or one of the team Leaders, they will handle it immediately.
7. No posts under 3 sentences, we all know how to write a paragraph.
8. No put-downs or dissing.
9. NO OUT OF CHARACTER POSTS, there is a reason we have the Chit Chat thread.
10. Have fun but don't feel bad when you are eliminated, no one likes a soar loser.

*Special circumstances may apply, but you must be notified beforehand.

That's It:

Make sure you have fun, because you are now ready to participate in the SSFW championship, follow all these rules and you will be fine. Make sure that you report any problems to myself or one of the leaders.
