Actually, a friend and I did a little experiment D:

We'd ask people what types of music they'd listen to, and generally they named a genre they were really into... but 99% of the time, and I mean 99%, it was "everything except country"

I'm generally not fussy at all. I like most types of music, bar some. Rap is something i'm not too keen on. But give me anything and there'll be a good chance i'll like it, or be able to stand it :P

As for my favourites, i love:

Soft rock - (LostProphets, Foo Fighters, PATD, FOB, Tenacious D, All Time Low etc.)

Acoustic - (Get Cape. Wear cape. Fly, Lost On Campus, The Rocket Summer, Newton Faulkner etc.)

Indie/Alternative Rock - (The Kooks, The Wombats, The Fratellis, The Hoosiers, Snow Patrol, Vampire Weekend etc.)

And my favourite out of these, Electro - (Amy Can Flyy, And Then There Were None, Breathe Carolina, CASIOKID, HADOUKEN!, MexicoFALLZ, MiMi Soya, Owl City etc.)

Ya i agree with the dumb rap part, some of tha recent stuff is just trash imo. Kanye and Lupe are ok... some songs are a little out there. Ill pretty much listen to anythin cept Country, Dumb rap an Techno. Cept Daft Punk, there legit. :D
