Stir together pregnant teenagers, unlikely superheroes, mean girls, and fraternity brothers, and the product becomes a normal line-up on any channel. It is time to start turning on those old dusty television sets, because this fall marks some new and returning series that once again prove that good shows bring good audiences.

“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” follows the life of Amy Juergens (Shailene Woodley), a pregnant band geek. Her “Secret Life” is not so secret when word gets out about her scandal, circulating among her family and school. Amy has to cope with being a not-so-normal teen in a school full of sex addicts. Along the way, she meets a loving boy, a god-obsessed cheerleader, a secretly smart sex-idol, and a promiscuous drummer. Although drama-packed, this show sends a good message to teens everywhere; be abstinent or use protection. Although Amy is not the most positive role model, she is an example of what every girl should involve themselves with. You will not be able to keep your eyes away from the screen.

“Heroes” first aired on Sept. 25, 2006, and from the moment the commercials started playing, American teens have not been able to stay away. “Heroes” features a group of odd humans who share one thing in common--supernatural abilities--that set them apart from the rest of the world. Stars like Hayden Panitierre and Milo Ventimiglia jumped on board to start production in this unique show about the most unlikely heroes. Although the episodes are long, the story keeps the attention of the person watching. Overall, you cannot say there is ever a dull moment in "Heroes." The new season “Heroes Villains” should be even better than the first two with more action and suspense than ever before.

The next television show was originally a book, and now is a commonly associated with actress, Blake Lively. “Gossip Girls” is a show about sex, drugs, and jealousy. The show is based off an elite group of wealthy young adults who attend institutions, all of which while exploring the wondrous Upper East New York. When a blog emerges with the stories of these teenagers, every girl in the area is dished in on the drama and scandals. "Gossip Girl" as the famous blogger is known, only makes the drama worsen with her gossip spreading, which ultimately narrates the plot to the audience. "Gossip Girl" is a must-see show for all you girls out there, even the ones who do not deal in the nasty business of rumors. You will be hooked with just one episode.

"Greek," another popular drama on ABC Family, follows the life of a popular sorority head, Casey Cartwright (Spencer Grammer), and lonely, fraternity brother aspirer, Rusty "Spitter" Cartwright (Jacob Zachar), as they spend their days trying to carry out the "College Dream" of popularity. Add a pinch of romance, rivalry, and the almighty social kingdom and you get the ultimate recipe for college drama. With all the ingredients needed to make the ultimate show, the scripts practically write themselves. This particular show will take you to college and back before the hour is done, and leave you ecstatic for life away from home. This show should be watched by all teenagers, and not just because of the college factor. You might just learn to stay away from the drama in your life after you see what it can do to college students.

So pencil these shows into your weekly planner and do not miss an episode. You do not want to be the one left out when everyone is talking about them. Then, grab the remote and tap into a new world of television, the teen way. Even the skeptics should put down their fears and watch these wonderful shows.
