Psych Two Recap:
=======================
A perfect day....... An ordinary day........
Indeed, the day of Misuzu’s and Marek’s wedding was perfect. Just like every other day, that day seemed regular. Everybody that grew ties to the couple was there: Anlei, Xelt, all except Marcus..... And that had effected the two that held the closest ties to the deceased warrior.
Anlei seemed to shut the world off from her, closing off her once social, loving attitude. The only relation she had kept as the one with Marek and Misuzu.
Xelt was no different. He locked himself from everybody, even the world. He was merely a ghost, and only a selected few could even see him in his astral form. Like Anlei, his detest for others grew.
But, jut as all tragedies go, the wedding was cut short. A strange group had targeted both Marek and Misuzu. The attacked was unpredictable, and everybody in the church was caught off-guard.
All seemed to spiral into a chaotic twist, which almost made the fiends win the ambush, but a heavenly fire quickly struck the rebels. And there was the wielder of fire, Marcus Echo, standing in the middle of the chapel.
Everybody in the church was surprised to see the warrior breathing. And just as fast as he appeared, Marcus departed to Australia. His lust for a peaceful life was strong, and that resulted in his uncaring attitude…. And Marek did not like that. He followed.
After Marcus explained his reasoning to Marek, the second in-command lost control. Something had taken over his mind, making him go berserk, and that resulted in a small bout between them.
“I have been behind everything,” Marek explained. “All that has happened has been because of me. Now everything is falling into place and I can reveal myself."
The small fight between the two did not last long, and in the end, Marek had fooled everybody into believing Marcus had attacked him, even himself. But Anlei and Xelt held their doubts.
After the incident, Anlei had to find a suitable body guard. In a quick skim through the phone book, she found the perfect guard: Zack Range.
The solider fore hire was rather energized when he received the call from the government leader, and in a rush, he dashed towards the governed building. It took him mere minutes to reach the colossal white building, and an even quicker time to find Anlei.
After a brief conversation between the two, Zack had officially became Anlei’s body guard. He would protect her with his life, even if he had just met her.
“Range” Was what she had called him, and he grew to like the nickname.
Soon, very soon, Marek and Misuzu had appeared inside the Government Building, and were surprised to see the newcomer, Zack. And the solider for hire was very impatient, and drew his blade, which made an uneasy atmosphere between him and Marek.
The second in-command pleaded with Anlei, asking her not to hire a mercenary, but Anlei trusted Zack, and Zack trusted Anlei. It was a strange act, but a small friendship was being formed.
Then, Marcus showed up. Tensions rose, and Marek was prepared to go on the offensive. Luckily, things had not escalated to a dangerous level, and Anlei choose Range to protect her, telling Marek to leave the room so she could finally talk to Marcus.
The mercenary listened with open ears, taking in every detail the two spoke. It did not take him long to create n assumption….. A guess that revolved around the fact that Marek was the one who had change.
Zack Range confronted Marek, which escalated into a small fight between them. Again, this fight did not last long, and it ended with Marek transported both himself and Misuzu away from the Government Building.
"Stay away from Anlei, and stay away from my wife,” Marek warned Zack. “If I catch you within ten miles of either of them, I'll kill you
Almost immediately after words, Xelt had found himself as new body, seeing as his old form had sunk to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. The ghost had taken over a teenage body, and he went by the name of Raiyth.
It did not take long before the trio had to meet action once again. Marek had called Anlei, telling her that the headquarters they were in was about to implode. Using her teleportation powers, Anlei transported herself, Raiyth, and Zack far away from the base
Upon request, Zack asked Anlei to transport him back to the city to stop the cause of the problem. At first, she was hesitant. She told Zack of the great dangers, but the warrior still offered to go back. She respected his wishes, and transported herself and Range back to the city, and Raiyth followed.
To their surprise, they had transported in front of Marek, and Raiyth and Marek fought. But during the middle of the battle, an imaged flickered behind Raiyth, and the teenager almost looked happy. The spirit of Xelt jumped out of the teenage body, and then two spirits entered the body at once, fighting for control.
Marek, with a quick trust of his hands, dove his hands into the chest of the boy. In a fit of rage, Zack interrupted the battle, attacking Marek. Marek threw the solider aside, but a wall of flames had protected Zack from receiving any serious injuries.
Marcus was the one who had protect Zack, standing next to him. Xelt’s image slowly flickered upwards, until he was finally visible.
“Yeah...jeez...you guys can't stop fighting for one minute?” Xelt questioned. "I mean...what happened?"
Zack quickly caught upon the “What happened” part, and realized the image was not Xelt…. He was correct.
Marcus and Xelt fused their souls together, just like they had done before. They were one body, two souls. They were going to fight this imposter.
Then, after a few minutes of battle, the imposter went on the offensive, diving into Marcus’ body. The three spirits fought for control, until finally……. The imposter won.
He forced Xelt out, and it seemed Xelt knew what was going to happen next.
"I...have done it." The imposter laughed, turning to Xelt. Xelt stood firmly on the ground, a dark look across his face. "I have obtained...the ultimate power. The world...is mine."
Xelt closed his eyes, a tear escaping the side. Marcus...we've lost. There's no way to win...
A huge explosion erupted from the foundation, obliterating the city they were once fighting in. Xelt and Marcus were nowhere to be seen.
Marek had somehow gone into a state off mediation, and the world was one with him. His journey had brought him to his father.
Misuzu had gone back to her favorite place--the beach. She let the soft wind and sea-salt air form around her. And there she stood, watching the beautiful landscape.
Zack had reappeared on the same beach, but was far away from Misuzu’s location. He was in the same city that Marcus and Xelt were in, but he did not die. Instead, he was somehow transported here. But when he stood up, his body temperature rose, and he found out he could control fire. What other powers did he just receive?
Anlei, just like Zack and Misuzu, was staring into the ocean, her mind racing. She made a decision to leave the life she had and runaway, just like she thought Marcus had done. She shed one last tear, and she disappeared using her teleportation powers.
Xelt had appeared on fluffy white clouds, and a massive gate was place in front of his presence. These gates were the entrance to Heaven, and Xelt knew it.
This is it. Heh...my last game. Sorry...I did my best.
Goodbye...Marcus, Marek...Dyce... He ran through the names quickly, and stopped at the last one.
Anlei...to you.... I'm sorry I couldn't stay around. I wanted to say...before I left... I'm sorry....goodbye....
I...love you...
Good....
bye...
And Xelt walked forward.
Marcus had appeared in a city, and he was in a ghost form. When he looked downwards, he saw his own son, Martris Echo.
"Tame the fire,” Marcus whispered to his son. “Only with your fire can you stop what is to come, it is up to you, Martris echo,"
Then, the warrior could hear the calls of all of his friends, except Anlei. He could hear Xelt, Zagroy, and Zeth.
And that only left the imposter, who was going by the name Seth now. He believed he held the ultimate power, and perhaps he had it.
This world...will fall.
Psych Three: Heaven's Wrath
It was impossible to say what really happened that day, to Marcus and Xelt, it was unbelievable to say why any of it really happened. They shouldn't have died...they were supposed to live. Yet...
They didn't. The Ghost, now going by the name of Seth, took Marcus' body. Worse...Marcus' body has the power to destroy the world...through the power of one, well timed explosion.
And...the only people who could have prevented this were long dead. The only powerful psychic remaining was Marek.
One spark of hope was born, unknown to the psychic world. Martris Echo, unknown son of Marcus Echo, lives as an orphan on the streets. Strange events occur about him, forcing the teenager to realize his powers.
Could Martris live up to his father? Or would the world burn in the very flames that destroyed the boy's life? Would the world end? Or...will the members of the former Heaven's Dawn take the world back?
This...is the final fight, the battle to win the world back.
The battle has begun.
------------------------------
Marek let out a low sigh as he paced the floor, back and forth. He had been placed in temporary command of Heaven's Dawn, int he strange absence of Anlei Throne. It had been almost a month since she disappeared...since Xelt and Marcus died.
And yet, there was nothing. No sign of an attack, no threats, no nothing. It was...unnerving.
"Bring in the new recruit..." Marek spoke quickly, and roughly as a man walked through the door. Being a mind reader saved him a lot of time in conversations.
The man nodded quickly, and turned around, motioning for the new boy to walk in.
He looked to be about seventeen, lean and fit as any psych usually was. The boy had dark brown hair, spiked up, a single bang sort-of like a hawk's plumage in front of his eyes. He let out a low sigh, "What do you want?" His voice was smooth, almost glassy as he spoke.
"Xeikra Dominion...welcome to Heaven's Dawn..."

All photos and videos where burnt but she could never understand why, until she saw the same face of the teenager, now much older on the news giving a world wide report on the death of a man called ‘Marcus…’ It was defiantly her, Ariel’s older sibling.
Since then Ariel tried getting into the magazine industry hoping that she could get close to this ‘Anlei Throne’. But, just as she got the job at the age of 17 the head of the government disappeared. Once again Ariel had lost her sister.

I think people may be intimidated by this being the third one. I mean, i usually dont join rpgs when there's already been a couple of them, becuase there is backstory i dont know. that may be why people arent joining.

True. I posted in TKL for them to join...but what you said I think is correct about people not joining. They probably think they'll get too confused...which they most likely would, anyway. I think there's too much backstory for new people to join, in my opinion. But the 'cheese' can do as they wish...

((Like right now, maybe?))
There was a soft, shimmering light above the boys head as he glared at the man opposite of him. "I did nothing wrong!" He spoke calmly, but with a slight edge in his voice.
"Sorry, but rules are rules..." The man opposite of him, who was shrouded in the shadows of the dim lighting, chuckled. "And you broke one of the rules."
The boy shook his head, "You can't kill me, just because I'm one of them...that's not fair!"
"All psychics should die..." The man stood up, pulling a gun from his jacket. "There is no other way..."
THe boy smirked, "Jackpot..." He snapped his finger, and the room exploded. Three more psychics entered the room, just as the boy stood up.
"Xeikra Dominion, Class One Psychic..." He smirked, flipping his hair out of the way of his eyes. "You, my friend, are herby placed under arrest for the possible murders of countless subjects." He raised his hand, his arm becoming a shiny, liquid metal. It quickly formed into a sharp blade, and he smirked.
"Well...what do you think, boss?" He looked back to Marek, who was standing next to him. "Not bad for a first time?"

Not again....
The small structure of a young teenager was spread upon the snug mattress in his average apartment building. His mind was racing, pulsating with every memory that replayed in his cranium. A liquefied form of sweat rolled down his lightly tanned face. His eyes were shut, making him simulate the dream sequence he was compelled to examine.
These dreams..... What do they mean?
Hazy images of multiple people rushed through his mind, but it was difficult for the boy to observe the intriguing features each one held. These people he studied were about his age, and they too held power beyond mere human capabilities.
Their names keep running through my head..... Marcus, Xelt, Anlei, and Xairin..... Who are they?
In a final gasp for the vital air he desired, the boy opened his beautiful eyes. The dream was over, but his heart kept beating at a rapid rate. His nerves were shaking slightly, conjuring another droplet of sweat upon his face.
“Just a dream,” Chase spoke, a sigh of relief in his breath. “It’s just the same dream. Different events, but the same people.”
((The dreams he see don’t really have a meaning. They are just there to confuse the heck out of him. lol. The dreams are also really hazy, so Chase Valon can’t see everybody clearly. And he only knows their first names, so he will never find out that Martris (If they ever meet) is Marcus’ son by mere glance and whatnot.))

Plip.
Rain was falling from the heavens, and one young man sat under a lean-to, his large coat wrapped about him, inside a mewling kitten cuddled against him.
"Soon ink, we will get you food soon. Geeze, how much do you eat?"
((it is short, but I am tired))
Misuzu
09-26-2008, 04:53 AM
Misuzu Kuriko leaned against the remains of a wall as she watched the series of events unfold before her. This new psychic that was being tested, Xeikra Dominion, seemed powerful enough. The fact that he could make the entire room explode that quickly was impressive to her.
She examined the features of the young man with her light lilac eyes, and twisted a string of strawberry blonde hair in between her fingers, chewing on a piece of pink bubble gum. She thought that he would be very powerful if he had more training, then again, he might have some more strength within him, and she wouldn't be surprised if he did so.
Misuzu glanced from the men to Marek, and back to the newcomer. She then looked to the ground and thought about what happened a month ago...the month everyone seemed to have disappeared. Marcus, Xelt, Anlei...they never had spoken one word about leaving them. Now, Marek was head of the Heaven's Dawn, one pretty high position to be currently in.
She blinked back up to where everyone else was and kicked a piece of wall debri to the side, chewing slowly on her gum. She tuned out what everyone else was saying, and focused on her own deepened thoughts for a bit--that's what she did lately. Dream...think...whatever you'd like to call it. She had become more soft-spoken...less talkative. Less cry-babyish. Suppose she was stepping it up a bit? Perhaps. But strangely, she changed, one way or another.
"He seems like one hell of a psychic." Misuzu said quietly, yet loud enough for Marek to hear. She glanced back at Xeikra, and half-smiled at him. One hell of a pyschic he was...

The slightly muscular form of the young teenager quickly jolted out from his apartment door. Even in a simple task such as running out of the door showed how different Chase was. His speed was unrivaled, and his agility was marvelous. After all, he was a true psychic and his performance could defeat any standers of the typical human.
“Where should I go today?” The young man asked himself as he slightly flipped his head back, removing the hair that was once overcrowding his wandering gaze.

Steam rise into the air from the hot chocolate cupped in the Ariel's pale hands, she hunched forward taking a careful sip not to burn her lips. But the drink could never burn her since as soon as the liquid touched her lips it turned ice cold. But its better to act normal.
The girl stared though the cafe's window watching the water droplets slide slowly down the glass emerging with the rest, she instantly knew it was going to just be one of those days where everything seemed to go in slow motion.
In front of her on the table was a note pad with a fresh piece of lined paper on top with only two words written on it.
'Anlei Thone?'
Ariel sighed as she read the words over and over again, she had come to a dead end there was no chance now for her sibling and herself to be reunited.
It was time to move on, but she knew in the morning new hope would fill her mind, until then it was time to get on with her life. A journalist struggling to get a story so spends half of her life sat in the same cafe everyday.
"Just one of those days..."

There was a soft sigh behind Ariel, as a tall, middle-aged man stood up. "Ariel Thone..." He spoke softly, "Her sister..." He smirked, and walked up to her. "Hello..." He held out his hand, smiling kindly. "My name is Dyce...I worked with your sister for awhile..."

Ariel looked up with wide eyes at the man in front of her, she studied his appearance and figure trying to decided if she should believe his words or not.
He could just be lying...but then again what if he was telling the truth? he could have valuable information.
Giving this Dyce the largest smile she could offer Anlei told him to take a seat and offered to buy him a drink, just to be polite. "Help yourself to anything off the menu, my treat". Ariel smiled picking her pen up and quickly jotted 'Dyce' in the corner of her note pad drawing an arrow to conected both of the names.
"Well, you should of already guessed that I am going to throw a lot of questions at you so you better be telling the truth" Ariel warned holding his gaze for a second before looking down at the lined paper. "Tell me everything about my sister".

Dyce sat down, and crossed his arms. "I'm afraid I can't answer anything. It's far too complicated to explain, but I will give you a single lead." He held out his hands, a peice of paper in them. "Here is the address of a base one, long ago, used by Marcis and Xelt to combat the old government. It's in ruins right now, but...there are things there that can help you."
He stood up, leaving the paper on the table. "By the way...you looka lot like her." Dyce smiled softly, and walked out ot the small cafe.

"Listen...I'm head around here, and you'll do as I say." Marek slammed his hands down on his desk, "It's simple...I don't know what's out there, for all I know, there could be an entirely new base full of maverick psychics out there."
Xeikra sighed, letting his arms fall. "Alright..I'll do it, then..."

There was a break in the rain, which Martris took full advantage of. Sprinting through the streets, he made it into a backwater dinner, a place where the manager often took him in for a night and gave him food.
"Hey Pete," he said, reaching in his coat and setting Ink down on the bar, playing with the kitten. Pete smiled from across the way and poured him a small saucer of milk, before sliding it down the bar. Tapping the kitten on the head until it noticed the milk, Martris looked about boredly.
"How come nothing interesting never happens around here, eh Pete?"

Ariel felt her cheeks blush at his comment and looked to the window watching him leave and trying to see if she could catch her reflexion. Just them few minutes with him had made her the happiest person alive, though she was a little annoyed that he couldn’t give her any information the address would be enough.
Reaching for the piece of paper Ariel quickly read it pushing her lose brown curls behind her ear. She was sure she could find this place easily, a quick taxi then walk the rest of the way. A perfect plan right?
Leaving money on the table including a tip, Ariel ran into the centre of the town calling at a small D.I.Y shop to pick up a torch, if its just ruins she will need it.
Calling a taxi from outside the store she waited patiently while reading the note over and over again, it was only then did she realise she left her note on the table before. It held so much information in it... information hopefully no one would realise was very important.
As soon as the taxi arrived it wasn’t long until Ariel was only a few miles away from the base. "Anlei..." Sighing deeply the young girl ran as fast as she could the thrill of gaining information gave her a rush of adrenaline.
Approaching the Base Ariel looked around for an entrance, there wasn’t any sign of one, she would just have to make her own. “I think its going to get a little colder”.

Xeikra stealthily slipped through one of the broken windows on the third story of the ruined building. His eyes quickly adjusted to the dim light that slipped in from outside, his mind racing. No one here... He scanned the room, and slipped silently onto the floor, looking around.
"Nothing to report so far..." He muttered. "Maybe...I need to go deeper in the base..."
-----------------
A sound echoed through the small cafe, the bell ringing. A middle-aged man with striking blonde hair walked in, and sat down next to Martris. "Excuse me...I'll have a coffee, please..." His voice was smooth, and caring. Of course...Dyce had always been smooth.

By placing her hand on a few bricks, which already seemed to be lose she concentrated on that area the most freezing the cracks between the bricks before they started to crumble away in front of her.
Knocking the rest of the lose bricks away Ariel climbed though the hole, the room was cold, she couldn’t feel it but ice on the walls did give it away, maybe she had over done it. "I hope the rest of the building hasn’t been effected..."
Taking a deep breath Ariel closed her eyes her 'Third eye' taking effect.
Papers everywhere, a few weapons left lying around, a room with medical equipment on a steel table. And two green eyes.
"A ghost?". Ariel muttered her eyes fluttering open as she reached for the torch hitting it against her hand to warm up the batteries. "Or alive?".

Watching where she was stepping first Ariel carefully progressed further down the hall, it was getting darker and only a few of the lights where on, but they where only dim and flashed repeatedly. This made Ariel begin to panic as took hold of her blocking her senses.

In the hollow darkness of the void of rain, the muscular form of the young teenager was standing firmly on the eroding edge of a simple disintegrating structure. His eyes were fixated forward, staring blankly at the empty chasm that awaited him.
“Everyday, those dreams always come to me,” The boy spoke distinctly. “What do they mean?”
The psychic’s mind was working like clock-work, trying to configure a rational hypothesis to the enigma that haunted his dreams. The people that resided in the dreams were new to him, but every image he saw was extremely vague, making it impossible for him to even distinguish the slightest feature on the beings that tormented is thoughts.

Marek stood in the pouring rain. It was no normal rain, not a natural rain. It was rain like this that made him think of his brother. Perhaps a part of his brother's power still followed him around. He knew this rain was not normal, not natural because of where it was. It was raining in the sahara desert. And there wasnt a cloud in the sky. Rain in the sahara desert itself is abnormal enough, but this kind of rain... water droplets seemed to magically materialize out of the atmosphere, falling down freely, not created by any clouds. Marek stood for hours in the rain, letting it wash over him. Then he sighed, looking into the sky. "What will I do?" He said silently. Then he vanished.

All of his questions held no logical explanations, but Chase could feel the tremendous feeling behind those strange dreams that kept reoccurring in his mind.

In the murky haze of the disheartening downpour of rain, two celestial beams of light seized his gaze. He could feel a strange surge of power dwelling deep inside the mystifying illumination, and he quickly reacted without even planning his next strategy of action.

((Ok, incase any of you are confused, Martris is a Wilder, it is a type of psychic taken from DnD. The following is a description of a Wilder:
The psion draws his psionic ability from strict mental discipline and intellectual development. Not so the wilder- for them, raw emotion is the source of psionic power. Emotion-triggered psionic ability is not a science, but a passion. The zeal with which the wilder pursues the use of their psionic ability is so extreme that they can occasionally trigger a surge of power far beyond their normal capabilities. ((And Chase is calling Marek and old fossil because it is the only insult that came to his mind. He remembered hearing it somewhere in his dreams. *Cough*Look in Psych Zero*Cough*.))
Chase hastily jolted his head to the side, the mass of his well-built frame shifting with him, watching as the elder psychic pursued after the other adolescent. The mystical being that had used his powers of teleportation had slithered past the youth, taking him by surprise, but that would never happen again. Even with teleportation in the custody of his opponent, he would not allow such a force to overwhelm his existence.
“Crap, he got past me,” Chase swore mutely as he raced after the two. “That old fossil seems familiar, though.”
As soon as the young man finished his sentence, a supernatural essence had collided with his soul. He could feel a ghostly presence enter his muscular frame, interweaving with his logical mind. A slight luminous, azure aura sheltered Chase in a veil of immense radiance. His eyes cringed forcefully, reacting to the sudden throbbing in his cranium. But just as fast as the sudden pain had intercepted his body, it had vanished.
“What was that?” the perplexed boy asked himself as he opened his eyes, which were now a beautiful sapphire tint; his eye color had changed. “I can’t worry about that, I have to move on! Hey, old fossil!”
With a swift thrust of his hands, a barrage of water and combustion erupted from his hands. The opposite towers danced with each other, aiming directly at Marek. The adolescent had to make sure his ideal aim did not have a miscalculation. "You idiot....you messed me up." Power glowed around him, "Why, I ought to-" He stopped, turning back. Wait... "Oh...this can't be good..."

Chase’s skillful Pyrokinesis hastily reacted to the sudden bitter air, increasing his boiling body temperature. His blissful psychic powers were intertwined with his essential emotions that inhabited his pure heart. The adolescent was beginning to become extremely irritated, knowing that the opposing man was miscalculating his forceful capability.
“Don‘t turn your back on me,” the teenager bellowed as a droplet of fluid ran down the side of his delicately tanned face. “Never turn your back to me!”
Chase rapidly unlocked his searing palms, allowing his powers to fill his hallow actions. A spark ignited in his lone hand, and a blaze of combustion enveloped his forearm. Then, without a sensation of remorse in his movements, he surrendered into his angst. He released his overwhelming flames, sending it directly at Marek.
No!
A jubilant voice vibrated throughout the young psychic’s mind... But it was not his. The tone was playful, yet mature. Chase knew it was not his own accent, but it spoke precisely inside his furious cranium. And that was when the teenager was truthfully astonished by utter awe.
His blistering assault had ceased in mid-air. It was as if the divine blaze disintegrated into the brilliant heavens above. Someone had interrupted his barrage. No... He had unwillingly blocked his rage.
“What? What…. Happened?”
Just wait a minute.

Marek's eyes were wide, but not with fear. His powers...they're... "Interesting..." He smirked. But now isn't the time. Seth is arriving. He gaze focused back to the street. "I don't know who you are, but your powers with come in use here. Someone far greater than the both of us is about to appear...and we need to do our best to stop him." Marek raised his arms, preparing a powerful source of energy.
"My name, by the way, is Marek." His eyes flickered back to the boy, "And if you don't mind...I'd like to stay alive today, so be on your guard."
----------------
Awakenings are always a pain... His arms were heavy, and the room was dark. It smelled of blood and death, of alcohol and drugs. There was a sharp pain in his arm, a needle. Not my favorite choice, but it works... He tried to sit up, but he felt like the weight of the world was upon him.
A slight chuckle. In a way, it is. He could feel the blood in his body beginning to move again, flowing once more. The sluggishness that he felt was slowly ebbing away. Why did I choose a crack house?
"Well, well...I knew I'd find you here." A familliar voice came fromt he side.
"Dyce..." A flicer of a smile on the boy's face, the one who had just woken up. He had long hair, tied back in a ponytail, and glasses set firmly over his eyes. The needle in his arm popped out, and a trickle of blood flowed from the puncture.
"Nice of you to join us again..." A different voice, but still from Dyce.
"Nexus too? I'm amazed you survived." The boy stood up, staggering.
"Seth is on the move." Dyce again. "We haven't much time. You're not going to be ready, but we don't have much of a choice. I sent Xiekra that way too..."
"Right...we need to hurry then."

“What?” Chase retorted as he lowered his arms, giving in to the presence that was dwelling within is boastful frame. “Far greater then both of us?”
A diminutive sigh passed the youth’s pale lips. A eccentric sensation was beginning to overwhelm his senses, yet he still held authority over his agile structure. There was something else occupying his soul, transforming his body into a momentary sanctuary. But, whatever it was, the mystifying spirit did not attempt to captivate Chase’s existence. It did not yearn for control. If anything was occurring, the vigorous psychic felt…. Stronger.
“Never mind. The name’s Chase.”

Above the street where Marek was staring, a flivering wave of heat began to rise. No one on the street seemed to take notice, and continued on with their daily lives. Yet Marek noticed the slightl fluctuation. No...too late. And all of these people...
"Sorry..." He muttered. He quickly raised a small barrier around him and Chase. Just in time. There was a bright flash, and a sudden burst on nearly unbearable heat. Nothing could be seen around them save for the orange and red flames. Yet the barrier held.
------------------------
There... The revived youth opened his eyes. "Found him." He grabbed Dyce's wrist, and felt his body blur slightly. A sudden sharp pain surged through his mind, and he immediatly stopped, reaching down for the fallen needle. Damn...withdrawls! He groped on the ground as the pain increased.
Dyce was quick to act, and kicked the syringe away. "Not for you."
The boy looked up, rage and hate in his eyes. "Why I ought to-" Dyce's hand went across the boy's head, and a soft light enveloped the boy's mind. "I...er..."
"No problem. Let's hurry."
-----------------------
Marek cursed under the strain of holding the barrier. How can he have this much power!? Is this what Marcus was holding back!? But his luck held, and the flames died down. The barrier died witht he flames, and the two surviors gulped the cool, fresh air greedily.
"I'm impressed." The smooth voice of Marcus Echo lulled over to them. But Marek wasn't fooled.
"Seth..." Marek glowered in the man's direction. "You've killed all of them all, and for what purpose?"
"I was simply bored..."

“Bored?” the adolescent grimaced, an aggressive tone within his voice. “You killed innocent people because you were bored? You.... Monster!”
The young psychic quickly unfastened his clenched fists, allowing his fury to command his brilliant actions. His bizarre, radiant powers reacted with the negative harvest of emotions in his uncontaminated heart. A holy crimson tower of concentrated blaze configured in his palms, imitating the same stature as a steel blade.
“Die!”
Now, he charged forward, toward the altered frame of ‘Marcus Echo‘. The arrogant teenager had once again surrendered to his ultimate disgrace. He had underestimated his proficient opponent, permitting his mind to believe his adversary was feeble. But, all the knowledge in the entire complex universe did not matter. Chase was enraged, and not even the other being inside of him could cease his assault.

The idiot! Marek flashed a quick, concentrated burst of energy in front of Chase, meant to simply throw him back. But...the boy was different now. A strange power was coursing through him, and Chase simply rushed through the flames. "Idiot! He'll kill you!"
"Kill...yes, I will. But unlike the lucky souls before you, I think I'll take pleasure in rippin you limb from limb. Slowly. Why? Because I don't like your current tone." Seth smiled sadistically, raising his hand. "Now...first things first. Burn." A jet of flames shot out from his hand, circiling around Chase.
"Is that all?" A nearly invisable wave of energy blasted Seth to the side, ruining his concentration. The flames around Chase dispersed. Standing above the streets, on one of the many ruined buildings, was the boy who had awakened from the crack house. "I thought you would have been a little more flashy." His eyes flashed bright blue as he jumped down, landing next to Chase and Marek.
"Sorry I'm late."
Marek shook his head, "Right on time...I think." He was staring at the boy. "Though I'm honestly amazed anyone heard my distress call." Being partially psychic himseld, he had ben sending out alow wave emergency pulse with his mind.
"Marek...shut up, and focus." The boy spoke quickly. "Seth is mad."
"I don't remember telling you my..." He paused. Wait...is that really?

The other boy agreed, "Right. Take him out quickly." With the kid and Marek, we might stand a chance... He closed his eyes for a brief moment, taking a slow breath. Three....two...one...
"Marek, take Seth's left flank. Boy, take the right. Dyce, my partner, has back. I'll take front. Boy, you'll serve as the main distraction, Marek will try and subdue Seth. Dyce will be my second, and I'll take the main attack. Don't question me, just move!" The raven haired boy dashed forward, a gleam in his silvery blue eyes. (( Woah woah woah, this is a surprise.))
Ariel paused and blinked staring dumbstruck at the place where the government agent had been, "Dammint, he wasn't much help. But I wonder why he was here...he was kinda cute" She looked down at the torch in her hand, it was still caged in ice with no sign of it working soon. Cursing her misfortune and throwing the torch out of frustration out of the way, the bulb smashing against the bricks Ariel started to progress further towards the flickering lights in front of her.
She had to find something, anything that connected to Anlei.
The seconds turned into minutes and the minutes turned into hours. Still no closer to Anlei. There was a lot of rooms, most where either locked or completely ruined but Ariel didn't need to look to see what the rooms held, "Third eye". Data, no Data almost all of it had been erased the numbers and figures left behind made no sense to the young physic who seated herself in a worn and torn black leather chair her fingers tips hovering over a keyboard caked in dust.
She took a deep breath a blew, dust scattered forward and up causing Ariel to choke and fan the air in front of her trying to clean the air in front of her, from beneath the dust someone smiled up at her.
Picking up the piece of shiny paper, torn and curled at the sides she wiped it with the sleeve of her long black coat revealing it to be a portrait of four teenagers. 3 males 1 female.
One of the males was flashing rabbit ears behind the young girl while she tried to hug the smiling boys, though one look slightly annoying. The girl had stricking blonde hair and piercing emerald eyes. Minus the hair she was an exact cope of Ariel. "Anlei".
A wave of emotion flooded over Ariel as a river began to flow from her blue yes, she held the photo close to her heart then turned it over reading the back.
First day at training grounds, Zagory, Xelt, Anlei and Me.

Chase nodded slightly, bringing both of his tanned arms upwards. His eyes sparked for a mere instant, allowing his mystical energy to surge around his palms. A glimmer of combustion ignited in his gloved hands, and a bubble of liquid shrouded the other. The two opposite elements were summoned to achieve the same ambition, dancing profoundly in the teenager’s authority. The youth was assigned the effortless commission of diverting this formidable, insane adversary.
Too easy.
A thin smirk gradually found its way on Chase’s face, increasing his boastful tone. He hastily shifted both towers of divine psychic energy into his hands, forcing his radiant might to spiral around his forearms. If he was going to be the main decoy, he was going to generate something immense.
The boy’s bodyweight hurriedly transferred forward, making his agile frame move. Chase took to the man’s right, his powerful elements bending before his utter resolve. Perhaps in his entire life span, he was hired to flaunt his extreme abilities, which came easy to him. He was destined to brag.
“Burn or freeze?” the forceful adolescent shouted as he launched his powerful assault towards Seth. “It’s your pick!”

Misuzu had gotten up from her lazy encounter with the couch and had gone outside for a walk. It was sunset, her favorite time of the day, and the beach looked magnificent against the red-orangey glow of the metamorphical sky. She kicked a glob of sand into the water, creating a small splash that sent cool ocean water spritzing over her slightly tanned bare legs. She slightly smiled, and gazed at the setting sun. It would probably be a while before the bright moon would take over the nightly shift.
Her thoughts wandered back to Marek. She did wonder what he was possibly doing - Probably just the usual government crap. At times, she grew totally sick of it. It was too serious, and took a toll on her sweet personality that she once had. Now, she was more to herself and quiet. She sighed, the wind billowing her golden hair against her flawless face, running a hand through it too keep it from flying into her majestic violet eyes. "I wish you'd come back..."

Marek froze in mid-assault. "W-what?" He looked wildly around, the voice of his beloved echoing through his mind. "M-Misuzu!?" Is she here? Is she in danger?
"Marek! Focus!" The boy growled. "Pay attention, damn it!" Too late. Seth had caught on.
"Insolent pests..." Seth turned an eye to Chase. "Neither shall pass..." He lifted a finger, sending a wall of flame cascasding towards Chase. The blast surged forward, canceling both the fire and the ice. Next, he turned to the distracted Marek. "All's fair in love and war..." Another blast of flame in his direction.
That just leaves Dyce and me, then... The boy roared, leaping into the air with all of his powers channeled into his arm. "Die you-" He froze in mid air as Seth raised his hand. "W-what!? Since when can you...!?"
Seth laughed. "Simple, Xelt Avira. You spent time in Marcus' body, which allowed the body to conform to your genetic cells. It simply took time for me to figure out how to use them..."

Chase hit the solid earth below his presence, landing on the back of his cranium, almost knocking him into a deep hibernation. Several sparks of tainted flames danced around him, engraving deep gashes into his attire. His black, stylish gloves were burned, revealing the tips of his fingertips, his palms scorched. If it wasn’t for his keen psychic abilities in pyro kinesis, both his clothes and skin would have received severe injury.
“That idiot stopped in mid-attack and screwed everything up,” the teenager cursed, critiquing Marek’s downfall. “Zack, can’t you help me out here?”
I can give you some of my powers, but...
Doesn’t matter. Just do it.
The boy quickly stood up, a wheel of combustion enveloping his right arm. An azure hue was concealed in his determined eyes, and a thin aura of supernatural might sheltered him. Seth was distracted. He needed to end it now, before the powerful foe acknowledged him.

With a prayer dwelling within his stubborn mind, the youth launched a vigorous, silent blast of fire towards Seth.

Seth felt the blast hit him. The flames themselves were no match for him, but the shock of the blast was just enough for him to lose concentration. Xelt's body fell to the ground, but the boy was prepared. Next, he focused what little energy he could command, and reversed the situation.

"Breaking out is harder than breaking in". Ariel sighed as she glanced left than right down two endless corridors that seemed to never end. She had circled herself at least five times already and was no closer to finding the spot where she froze the walls and broke it. The brunette glanced down at the photo in her open palm staring back into the emerald eyes with her own, "What would you do?". She continued to stare down at the photo and then nodded her head as if she agreed with unspoken words coming from the image.
Carefully folding and placing the photo into her back jeans pocket Ariel walked over to the wall of the corridor, the water droplet from the leaking roof and the puddles on the floor quickly started to freeze over. The walls and floor glazed over with ice creating a glossy cover over it. There was water in this building, the bricks where full of droplet which was all she needed, after all they would grow with a little held. Pushing against the wall harder, her feet apart with one in front of the other to stable herself the wall started to crumble away as the ice forced the brick to crack and fall away making it easy was Ariel to simply punched the remains of the brick away creating a small opening, but small enough for Ariel to climb through.
Rays of light shone through the hole making the ice within it sparkle, but Ariel’s exit froze over as soon as she was out. He was right, I lack in control over the ice". The frozen water didn't just freeze over the hole but started to spread around the building creating a shield of ice to form over it sheilding the building. Ariel's mind went clouded for a minute, and her heaving legs almost caused her to faint for over use of her power, but she managed to snap herself out of it. "I need control..."

The boy holding Seth made a strangled sound, and fell to his knees. Seth remained in the air, but he dropped ever so slightly. No...this body...it's frail. Xelt's eyes remained wide and focused, but he was sweating now. Panting heavily, he staggered to his feet, despite the new waves of nausea and pain that were overtaking him.
"Ah...I was right." Seth smiled. "You might be powerful, Xelt, but your body is weak. It is the body of an addict, and also not suited for your psych genes." The demon of a man laughed, "So you can't kill me."
Xelt coughed, and was shocked to find blood had found it's way out of his lungs. What...? This can't be the drugs... His mind quickly whirred, and something clicked. Of course...my metablosim. It increased the body's as well...the drugs and his need for them are increased.

Ariel was welcomed by the sun which seemed to be more pleasant and welcoming than when she was in the city, "Speaking of the City I better get back". Reaching into her pocket the blonde took out her phone and flipped the cover as she started dialling for a taxi back to the cafe she first met Dyce. 'It's been impossible to connect your call, please hang up and try again later'
"That’s strange, it worked a few hours ago". Ariel stared down at her cell for a few minutes before pocketing the device, something was up and it gave her a uneasy feeling. Taking deep breaths Ariel closed her emerald eyes the gentle breeze played with her mousey brown curls blowing them in front of her as she cleared her mind of any other thoughts, "Third eye".
The road, trees and buildings dashed passed her and circled her mind as the lone figure stood in the centre of her City, but something was up, everything was silent.
Then there was fire, a contrast of oranges a reds filled the city as voices screamed and flames flickered around Ariel as she held her hands in front of her face though her hands went through the fire without touching her skin, the was an advantage of Clairvoyance, she didn't have to be there to see further than the human eye. The flames suddenly dispersed and then there was figures all stood together facing another one which stood alone, she couldn't make out their faces or voices, everything was blurred however she was positive it was five male figures. One seemed to be in pain. ” Simple, Xelt Avira. You spent time in Marcus' body-" The names was the only thing Ariel could register, they where the same as the ones on the back of the photo. "Xelt!". Ariel tried to reach out to the blurred figure as it started to focus, it was a boy but the strange thing was she could see two within one body, "Xel-".
The events started the reverse at a fast pace, the fire, city, trees, roads and finally the base.
Ariel's eyes fluttered open to find herself staring up into the cloudless azure above, she had passed out due to using not only her ice but also her third eye too much, her body felt heavy and drained as the world around her began to spin and once again Ariel Throne was lost the word of unconsciousness.

“You gotta be kidding me,” Chase cursed under his passing breath. “I’m ending this now!”
The young man hastily brought his hands upwards, fighting the fatigue that haunted his weary frame. If Seth was set free, and the gifted teen would die. He no longer had the energy to advance the brawl. The force he absorbed from Zack was causing his entire structure to fail. He desperately needed the warm sanctuary of sleep.
I refuse to die!
The psychic’s vision distorted for a mere instant. He was losing it. His world was beginning to grow increasingly darker in hue. Only a sheer spark was conjured in his hands. His concentration was deteriorating, interrupting his assault. His eyes locked securely together, unable to open.
I won’t die! I refuse to die!
It was as if his own words encouraged his numb mind. His eyelids abruptly unfasten themselves, releasing Chase’s otherworldly azure tinted eyes. Then, the spark of utter heat ignited in both of his palms, a wheel of flames levitating around his forearms. He would not let himself slip into an irritating slumber yet. He would make sure he would not die...

Marek stared up for a moment as Seth laughed and disappeared in a bout of flames. "I swear...he's getting more unstable." Crossing his arms, he walked over to Chase, and picked the boy up, slinging him over his shoulder.
"Marek. Find me a body...at least, one that works. We have a few new problems to worry about. I'll explain them when Chase wakes up. In fact...now that I think about it, I know the perfect body. I just hope Xeikra doesn't mind sharing."

Xeikra paused for a moment. "Is this the right room, Marek-sai?" He turned around, and suddenly jerked. "Wh-what was-" Be calm. My name is Xelt Avira. You remember me, yes? "X-Xelt? Seth found a way to work most of them again, and now plans on using them to his own advantages." The man steatched out momentarily. "Now, the next problem we have...Nexus has taken Dyce over."
Marek, who was standing outside of the room, chuckled. "I knew that Dyce would let him. Nexus saved Dyce more than once, so Dyce let his guard down. Nexus is evil. But...it all depends on what's going to hapen next."
"Seth is going to go after Chase." Xelt declared. "Chase's body has the potential to match or even suprass Marcus."

“He’s going after… Me?” Chase abruptly stood up, ignoring the horrific migraine that disturbed his cranium. “How can my abilities even match his? I couldn’t even scratch him. If anything, he was toying with me the entire time.”
The teenager’s body swiftly turned, bringing his back towards the others. His placed his right hand on his opposite shoulder, swinging his left forearm in a flawless circler motion. His eyes were securely locked, hiding his striking eyes. His adversary wanted to use his amazing frame for the same malevolent deeds he was using his present body for.
No. I won’t let him.

"It's not your current body that he's after, but the potenital that you hold." Xelt crossed his arms. "Think of it this way. Every body contains a soul, which is what I essentially am now. Every body has a limit, and every sould has a limit." He looked over to Marek, and back to Chase. "The Original Demon project was an attempt to make a Soul. It succeeded, but with nasty side effects."
"Now, back to the limits of Souls and Bodies. It was discovered awhile back that Marcus' body is one of the few that has nearly limitless potential. All in all, if someone were to use his power correctly, they could end all life in the blink of an eye."
"He won't do it, however. He's having far too much fun as it is." The man paused for a moment. "Now, despite this, Marcus' soul didn't last long enough to acheive this power, but I'm sure Seth's will. This is where I come in. My soul has almost limitless power. The problem that comes with this, is I can only use my power while in a body. I can also absorb that body's power, but that's irrelevant."
"What I'm saying is, is that Seth is looking for limitless power. I'm the only thing stopping him, but at the cost of lives. This is why, up to this point, I've been using the dying for my purposes." Xelt closed his eyes. "Now, however, the stakes have been raised."
"You're body can acheive limitless power, but it can't stand that quite yet. Your endurance hasn't been built up yet." His eyes flickered upward momentarily, almost as if looking at someone behind Chase. "So any use of power like such back there could end up disasterous. This includes death." Xelt smirked. "And if that happens, I'll take full use of your body to stop Seth. But I don't want your death."
"What I want is your help."

“Well, I don’t plan on dieing,” Chase retorted, a small hint of sorrow on his pastel face. “And how can I help? Can’t he just phase into me and kick me out of my body the next time he sees me.”
The young, fit frame of the youth leisurely started to lean forward, pacing back and forth across the solid ground the was beneath his presence. Zack’s worrying habit was beginning to mingle with the teen’s anxiety, making his feeble limbs jolt with pressure.
The blood flow residing within his tense structure began to increase, rushing his vital heart rate. His heart beat seemed to vibrate throughout their momentary sanctuary, audible to all near his position. A strange sensation pulsated throughout his muscles, and a rigid pressure encircled his existence. Everything simply felt… bizarre.
For once in his life, Chase Valon was truly terrified of somebody.

"It would be...difficult for Seth to do such a thing." Xelt glanced just above Chase, raising an eyebrow. "For several reasons. One reason would be that you've never gone Astral before." He waved his hand in the air for effect. "Marcus and I have gone Astral enough that our ties to our bodies were, for th emost part, completely severed. You, however, still have a powerful link to your body."
"As for how you can help..." Zack. With Zack's experience, he could rapidly train his body. "You and I will work on strengthening your powers. As for Marek and Xeikra...they need to make sure that Seth has no idea what we're doing."

The azure sky above, decorated with white cotton and gold silk surrounding it greeted the dazed awakening eyes of the young woman as her emerald eyes fluttered open adjusting to the scene before her.
Raising her clouded head Ariel ran her fingertips through her soft, shy light brown hair gently loosening the ruffled curls she had gained from being unconscious for such a long time just proving how weak her physic powers were as she was unable to use them to the extent she had done.
Standing Ariel reached once again for her cell automatically redialling the same number as before in hope of hearing another human voice on the end, but to her disappointment again she was greeted with the same recorded voice, ’ It’s been impossible to connect your call, please hang up and try again later'.
Her vision was true then, the fire that has surrounded her, engulfing the city was real and not just a nightmare haunting her dreams which normally only ever consisted with hope of seeing her sister once again. But now her mind was filled with questions which she knew that the only answer would be to see for herself, not with the vision eyes. Was there any survives? Who where them people she saw, Physics maybe?
Positioning her sight on the road to home, or what was left of home Ariel started on what would be an exhausting walk to her sanctuary, all the way hoping that the doubt she felt in her heart meant that her vision was actually false, and everyone was safe.

((My teachers won’t stop giving me tests! My brain is fried. O.O))
“So the only the people that can stop him are you and me?” the young teen hastily glanced backwards, analyzing the matured psychic behind his position. “And the only reason he isn’t goin’ to blow up the world now is because he is having fun?”
The youth gradually shook his head as he released a diminutive, inaudible sigh from his light lips. Every detail that the experienced hero explained caused the confusion dwelling in the adolescent’s heart to erupt, and the anxiety within his muscles grew. He knew his options, and he could not just discount the vital facts. He would need to fight.
“Fine, I‘ll help. What do we do first?”

Xelt closed his eyes. This was a bit much, even for his mind to handle. It's very difficult to understand what is happening and what needs to happen. He sighed. "The first thing we need to do is..." He looked behind him. "We need to find..." Zack. Possess me.

Wait, you want me to posses you? But…
“Just do it, Zack,“ Chase announced vocally as he closed his secure emerald eyes. “He’s the only person who knows what to do.”
The moral spirit within the young psychic groaned vaguely as he gradually leviated out of the teen’s vigorous frame. To customary eyes, the wholesome specter would be utterly imperceptible, but boastful adolescent could effortlessly distinguish the slender, azure outline of his modern equivalent. And by the way Xelt was talking, he had already assumed that his pristine mentor could also perceive astral beings.
What now?

I'm leaving for now. Use this as a temporary body and start training Chase. This will allow him to train without your presence disrupting his flow of power. But before I leave, I want to warn you...Seth can track Chase. He'll attempt to attack him, and soon. He'll want to test Chase's powers against his own, as a comparison. Xelt glanced over to Chase. It probably won't work, but you might have a chance to take Marcus' body back. If that chance opens up, take it. Destroy Marcus.
On the flip side, if Seth is freed, he will attempt to take Chase. So, the first thing you need to teach Chase is Astral Projection and how to fight in that form. Xelt crossed his arms. As for me, I'm going to go and find someone...and hopefully a way to get my original body back.

The golden dust danced around the dragging boots of the lone girl reduced to abandoning her large ebony trench coat a couple of miles down the path and now loosely held a scarlet sweater revealing a more appropriate white tank top for the long walk Ariel faced as she returned to what she expected would a town reduced to ash.
She had played on the thought of using her Nimbuskenisis to cool her burning body down, the walk back to town was longer than she had expected and the tormenting sun wasn’t showing sympathy, or was the heat radiating from whatever was left of her home. “Dammit, I’m homeless and jobless”. She cursed the forgetfulness of her to leave so many articles unfinished, so many notes on Anlei turned to dust. What am I going back to anyway?
Time was something that didn’t exist on the long walk home, Ariel had adjusted the leather messenger back and forth from each shoulder. But finally she stumbled into what she could only describe as a war ground, ash covered everything turning the once busy sidewalk bursting with a kaleidoscope of colour to a dull greyscale environment, one that spread fear into the heart of the girl who stumbled through the wreckage searching for anything, anyone. Anlei

A far cry. Anlei. At that, Xelt looked up. "I'm leaving Zack in charge. Later." He exited the body, and flew out of the room in his astral form.
He hovered in the sky for a moment, thinking. Someone is looking for her. Other than myself... The psychic closed his eyes. "Anlei..." Memories flooded into his mind, but they were quickly supressed by Xelt's newly aquired coldness. Now is not the time. I have to find that girl. Her first, then Nexus.

“A psychic did this?”. Using the tip of her polished boot Ariel nudge some of the wreckage with curiosity, most of it crumbling even at the gentle touch of her fingertips. Civilization had been crushed without any effort. “Man, I knew I had trouble controlling my powers but-” She paused, kneeling down the brunette gently picked up a mangled burnt stuffed creature she presumed was a bear, “But this guy must be exceptionally gifted…” Ariel was normally more sympathetic, however this strange turn in events had caught the clouded mind of the girl focused on one aim. To find her older sibling.
“If he...or she could do this, then what’s stopping them from finding Anlei”. In the depths of her heart Ariel knew it was terribly wrong and dangerous. But sometimes you had to act before you think, something she most likely to regret.

Easier said than done…
The disillusioned ghost gradually inspected the rigid frame of the vigorous teen before his momentary structure. His lackluster, brown eyes forcefully closed, securing his sense of sight. His mind was beginning to grow warmer, functioning like a metallic machine. He needed to educate the ignorant adolescent a prevailing technique in mere moments, and arrange him for an impressive brawl.
“Okay,” Zack announced as his vibrant tone radiated from Xelt’s temporary body. “Your gonna have to learn Astral Projection.”
“Astral Projection?” the youth retorted as he hastily stood upright, fixing his lethargic posture. “Why do I need to learn Astral Projection? Didn’t Xelt say it would be difficult for Seth to just kick me out of my body?”
“Yes, but if Seth were to try and enter your body, you would be the only obstacle in his way… And we can’t let him get your body.”
