Is that the door to go to other worlds?

I just asked because I started a new file in KH and Sora never went inside the door. After he finds Riku and he held out his hand, Sora tried to grab it and failed. Then mysteriously Sora finds himself in Traverse Town.

So help.

I have another question, who is that guy in the secret place with the brown hood?

I've thought it was Ansem the Wise or Xehanort.

For future reference I am also going to say, that you can NOT go into the door in the secret place on Destiny Island in KH1. It is impossible.
