Should I learn Japanese?

I always wanted to learn another language, and because I love the way the language sounds and because the Final mix games are in it I was thinking of learning Japenese; should I?

Japaneze is an extremely hard language to learn. They have 3 different sets of characters that are used at different times. It is difficult but I'm sure at the same time, it would be very rewarding. If you are going to learn a language anyway. Why not give it a go, and see if it's for you. It's the only way to find out really.

It's not that i'm insecure or can't decide on anything myself or anything like that. I just like to here other people's responses and their input on things. Thats just the way I am. BTW: I will be posting alot more things like this. BTW AGAIN: is that ok? :D (no seriously..... no I mean seriously is that ok?)

Sure I don't care if you post things like this... I was just wondering a little.... but sure if you want to learn Japanese then that's great and you should do it... and if you want to make more post like this that fine too...

My cousin has a notebook with the numbers and letters in japanese, she is starting to speak them, sometimes freaks me out when she talks it.

i dont think you should learn japanese if u dont come from asia. I know i sound really horrible, but the truth is people who arent asian who try to learn japanes...sound terrible.

If you ever plan to go to Japan then I say go for it. Even if part of the reason is to play the final mix games it still something to shoot for for other reasons. People make big money as translators you know.

Well, I tried to learn it but I never quite grasped it, plus It was more of a spare time thing, so I only learned it bi-weekly ect.

Japanese is really hard to learn. But I would say: Go for it. Even though I can't a single word you should learn japanese. Maybe in the future you're going to Japan, then you already speak a little japanese.:)

+ now you can get the Japanes version of so many games before they come out in english besides just FM, and of course, ones that might NEVER come out in english :D

I would recommend it. I'm learning it now and I'm having a blast doing it (I've always hated learning languages.) The fact that I watch anime all the time kind of helps though. :P

My 1st term and I'm a freshman and learning Japanese 1.. So hard and having 3 different alphabets does not help at all.. I get like 2 hours of homework a day just on Japanese alone other than that it's fun and I think it'll help you later a lot for getting jobs that require a 2nd language to communicate with. Also will help with Japanese animation and games.

First i'll get some podcasts and start practicing those whenever I have time to listen to my iPod. Then when I land a job in acting and get some money I might get a tutor.

And I tried to learn Japanese, but in my 2nd year my teacher sucked so I quit. It is prity hard to learn but not bad when u get the hang of it.

yes it does work I know that, for example suny ma san (I know these are gonna be sps) means excuse me, i'm sorry, and sometimes is a way af saying thank you.

Sumimasen.　Its main usage is "excuse me" or "I'm sorry" but it can also mean thank you, like Rai Saix said.
