The ruins of an ancient civilization, it is a network of passages and constructions that were built over a thousand years ago. Made of stone, this place is quite fragile and weak, thus it might not be surprising that it might be prone to fall if shaken. Also this place is filled with traps and treasures, surely something might be worth it...

Pillars, chambers, wide rooms, secret passages, all are set for the hunt, then, who will be the hunter, and the hunted!

Breaking all rules of protocol... but meh...

In:

The ruins were the site of his next contract, the place that his new contractor had asked him to search and inspect for any sort of treasure. It was not his usual job, which were more in the line with blood and killing, but this was if anything some easy gold.

Seth al Viel was something that most would consider a hired blade or a mercenary. A warrior that fought for those who bid the highest amount of gold. Nothing was sacred by that decree and these ruins had been assinged to be inspected by the client.

The mercenary gripped his spear, as he entered the structure, white marble pillars, weathered by the tests of time and the weathers, stood to each side in rows. The structure looked fragile, and several pieces of the precious stone were missing or too weathered.

This place would fall if one was not to careful.

"Great..." The mercenary continued in a slow stride, shifting his body and steps to avoid triggering any sort of trap a structure like this might have. This mission would be simple, just to find some treasure, and then he would leave.

Thus with that goal in mind, the blue cloathed mercenary continued into the ancient ruins, the stone temple darkening as he stepped further inside.

Dwelling deep inside the bizarre, eroding chasm of history, a youthful young man was wondering throughout the battered structure. His pace was leisurely, yet he walked extremely imprecisely. His boastful brown eyes rapidly examined the miraculous sanctuary he somehow stumbled into with every passing moment.

“Where the hell am I?” the adolescent informally spoke distinctly. “That freakin’ alchemist must have sent me here.”

His powerfully built frame gradually increase his departing pace, trying to escape the immoral chambers. But unbeknownst to the psychic, he was not alone in the majestic foundation. His essential body was placed in lethal danger, even if he did not distinguish the horrendous hazards that resided inside the hollow structures.

The man who bore the name of Azure crouched on a slab of stone as he peered below... in the chamer below there was someone standing. It did not seam some crib robber or some ruin maniac... yet it payed to be careful.

The contract stated to eliminate any witness or anyone who had found the ruins. It would not do that this person was here to interfere with his work. Seth al Viel was ready, his mind cleared as he prepared his next move... the swift and mercifuless assasination of this enemy.

The spear flew down at the enemy, tossed with great force from above in a killing strike. The weapon known as Farlorn would not miss, the strike was aimed to strike the chest of the enemy without fail. This was an accurate shot, something Seth had carefuly aimed to never miss the enemy!

For a minor moment, the juvenile had ceased his repetitive pace. His senses were intertwined with the psychic energies around his existence, and the bountiful arrays of mystical light amplified his awareness. He could feel every ounce of brilliant radiance emit from the foundation he had set his boastful presence upon. Something lethal was being aimed at his vigorous frame, ready to thrash the essential life out of his structure.

Chase promptly kicked his right foot to the side, sliding his body in a circular technique. His marvelous sapphire eyes were fixated onto the fatal spear that was hastily descending, approaching his vulnerable chest. Without even a slight nerve of hesitation in his stern movements, the precious blue fluid in his custody came to his aid.

The cerulean liquid quickly mingled with the other particles of water, concentrating them into a solid bubble of water. It took the youth a mere second to dispatch the ball in front of his vital body, using it as a blockade to shelter his existence. And just as he intended, the lowly spear entered the enclosed water, halting its destined path.

"Didn't set any traps," Chase questioned himself. "Come on out, stalker!"

Seth could only stare at how the enemy had blocked an attack that should have not been blocked. From any stance the attack had been perfect, along with the element of surprise, this boy should be dead.

Yet he was not. The boy lived, still standing on the passage in the temple, as he managed to control the water sphere that had blocked his attack.

Going by what information he had, Seth pegged the boy to be some sort of advanced magic user, with a barrier created to alert and defend him from enemy attacks, or maybe some psychic with a future sight ability.

Either way, the skills in the hand of this young human, for that was he was, were not of the average build, no being someone of his skill, then this boy must be some sort of enemy sent to hinder his operation.

There was no option, logic dictated the next step of action, and the level headed mercenary had no qualms about it. The boy must be removed, either captured to study his abilities or killed if there is no other option left.

Seth took only one moment to sigh, as he jumped from his hiding place, gathering his kill to call upon his power.

"Farlorn cometh!" The spear trapped in the clear Stace under the will of the young human heard the call of its true master. The Farlorn roared, sparking with azure fire as it shot out to the hand of its retainer.

Seth spun his spear, twisting the long shaft to point at the enemy with its blade. The mercenary lowered his body, as if ready to sprint, his center of gravity nearing the ground.

This was an optimal position for a lunge, for an unstoppable attack that would pierce the lung of the boy in an absolute killing blow....

"For you to be here...." those words were nothing more than a distraction, something to create an opening in the oponent... something to assure that absolute kill become a reality. "It means that I have to dispatch of you."

The spear-man saw it, the instant that was less than a second, the opportunity for the attack. His whole body accelerated forward, launching himself at stop speed. It was something akin to a snake or a lizard, as the blue spear-man crossed the distance between himself and his target as his lowered body almost touched the ground in his sprint.

The Farlorn neared its target, as in the last minute Seth rose with his spear, the weapon making a rising arc as it shone with the absolute killing flames that were part of the Mercenary.

The target was clear, the lunging spear bathed in blue flames would strike the heart of the enemy. It would be an attack that no magical barrier would stop, the future of that boy was death, and none would change it.

A spark of radiant beauty quickly ignited into the dense hand of the proficient warrior. His once azure eyes glistened sharply into a passionate crimson tint. The sweltering eruption of red flames detonated into his hands, creating a minuscule tower of brilliant flames in his pastel palms. The infinite ball of combustion imitated the same dance of the indigo water in his possession, concentrating itself into a reinforced blade.

The garnet and sapphire flames battered against each other, each trying to suffocate the other inferno into a hollow barrage of oblivion. The lethal artillery thrashed against the other, making the deafening noise of steel emit into the peculiar chambers of darkness. The endless void gradually echoed throughout the vacant temple, perhaps awakening a formidable immortal in the undomesticated disturbance.

“So, you’re the one who’s attacking me,” the youth spoke with a brash tone in his voice. “I don’t even know you! Why the hell are you attacking me!?”

OC: Bummer... and I really had wanted to finish our never ending match my galant rival, but I must olbige you in your quest for perfection and more battles.

At least I should remember this, I think we must really make a Naruto RPG.... (I have been reading too much of the manga lately... so the idea is there)

In: The hired blade stared at the boy whose watery orbs had changed into a pasionate scarlet. No longer there was doubt in his mind, judging the situation and its possible outcomes... this person, this enemy, must be absolutely eliminated with no remorse or mercy.

Someone who had witnessed two of his offensive attacks and had countered their effects with such ability was no mere grunt or any passer-by. In the world, all had absoluteltly a reason, and for this enemy to have found him on this ancient ruin, it did not take a genius to figure out the elaborate puzzle that made up this senario.

The boy before him was also an assassin, another hired blade probably sent to explore this cave under a contract with another, probably a rival of his own contractor. That would explain the boy's puzzled expresion. His face was not of the type to hide his emotion, no this boy probably had no knowledge of him, and was as astonished as himself when the two met.

Thus this battle proved certains things. First, this place must have something, for the boy to be here then there must be a high probability of finding a treasure. Second, whatever there is here, it must be too valuable for having too many people knowing of it, as his contractor and the enemy had each sent only one to retreave it. Third and finaly, whatever is here is valuable enough to send fighters on his class, something that undoubtfuly costs much, something that only continued to trouble Seth by the mere thought of having to face others of his level of skill.

As much as he admit to himself that he enjoyed having battles (which was just a mere tiny bit), the fact that there were probably many foes in the future to fight might make this mission too hard. Ha, must ask for more money in the end...

Now returning to his staredown with the young man, Seth closed his eyes, as he gathered in his mind the blue flames of his heart, the ability that only he had an absolute rule over, the flames called "Azure".

"Boy, I have no real fight against you... but you are here... and my contract dictated your death. " The man continued the battle, as he dropped back on step, just to rush once again another swing from the large spear.

The weapon sliced the air in two, as it rose in a blazing arc of sacred flames, all in intent of finishing the presence of the enemy.
