Vexen 2nd Fight

I bearly beat him the first time in the castle. I been stuck on the second Vexen fight in twilight town. Does anybody have any tips on beating him. I'm on proud mode and level 53.

Oh, geez. I was in beginner mode and he still wiped the floor with me at least four times. :( I managed to win thanks to a combination of sheer luck and the almighty Dodge Roll.

I know dogde roll is my best friend for his ice needles and freeze sleight moves. He was always hard for me even in the orginal. But he has the best reward card after you defeat him.

True. Nothing says love like a free revive.

I also had quite a few zeros, so that probably helped. Oh, and Sonic Blade is your best friend. For some reason, he never used any cards while it was active, so...yeah...

what messes me most of the time is donald because he uses bizzard and it heals Vexen.

I the advice i can offer is save your 0 cards to break his sleights and dodge roll ALOT.

He gave my trouble once on the first round but I wiped the floor with him both times after that. My advice is to not use your zeros for anything but his sleights, Ice Needles was easy for me to dodge so I didn't waste 0's on those but I don't know if it is for you. Have at least 3 level 6 or above Cures and DON'T lose them by using a higher level cure slight. Simply wait untill he is away from you or you can break it. Then when your out of Cures get your reload down to at least 1, especially if it's at 3. And don't bother attacking him unless you broke his card thus allowing you to hit him from the front (if it's even possible not to do so). And since Donald keeps healing him, stop using Donald. I never did.

reguardless in COm or recom he usually is the same, u just g otta use ur 0 for his sleights reguardless if u wana do it fast or take ur time, use cures(not in sleights) mostly when he reloads. And as soon as u reload charge the counter to 1 and almost a fukl charge that way when u need to reload all itll tkae is less than a sec to charge.o ther than that just go on the offense when u can, he is one of the easiest fights in the game really.

Before I beat him, I leveled up to max [560 points].
But that didn't help me.
I just kept using fire/fira/firaga, a whole lotta heals, and attack cards to finally beat him.

yeah I removed freezes and put in fires.

I haven't been playing because I'm hooked on Wii.

Another thing I forgot to add. Use the Oogie Boogie card too, it's a livesaver.

HERE WE GO, DD:

Use Meleficent right when the battle begins. Have some very high leveled cards (9, 8, 7) and stock up on three right after. Make sure you DO NOT attack him at all. Only attack him when he attacks you, card break him, and use three cards (not your sleight of cards that you stocked). If you use any more he will card break you and attack you. When he does a sleight move either use a zero card or the sleight of three cards and card break him. Vexen's cards are pretty much easy to dodge except his Freeze sleight. If you cannot card break his Freeze sleight then just stand around as he does his move and right when his arm flicks in the air you must dodge roll and he will miss.

It's been 6 months and I still can't win. LOL
