so im all up for learning about other religions and i like to share things about my religion so i thought i should make a thread about religions.................so people ill be happy to talk about things of this nature

no its that there are very similar things between these two religions...............like my mom also studies religions and i always see bibles in my house and i usually do see similarities betwen them like all the stories of the past like moses, jesus etc.

and im always getting people saying whats the diff. and i say some facts about jesus and barely any other........but i will admit there are differences

A Christian could actually practice Buddhism. When I took Philosophy we were taught Buddhism as a philosophical thought. You may take Buddhism to be religious if you want to, by subscribing to the legend of the thought's creation, and by determining a sort of "afterlife". Everything else though (all of the no suffering without desire, etc) is purely philosophical in nature, and not religious.

On a separate note, I have heard that participating in Ramadan (even if you are not of Islamic beliefs) is a very healthy exercise and may change ones' perspective (at least temporarily) on life by teaching one how to live without and rely on will and self determination.

I am kinda an Athiest - but I do believe in a creator. I don't worship a God, nor do I pray - but I do believe that there is a creator who created the world. I do believe in evolution, but I think it's weird that Humans evolved (I'm starting to sound like a Pokédex :P) from a fish or whatever. So, I dunno what I am. I guess I could make up my own religion, but I'm not worth worshipping. :D

And, well, technically, through my family I would be Catholic. I would of been Jewish.. it's kinda confusing. You see, Judaism is passed down through the females, not the males. So, if my Dad's mother was Jewish (his father was) then he would of been Jewish, but then my mother would of had to be Jewish, which she isn't. Long story short - I'm not Jewish :)

Some people believe that crystals hold mystical powers. Supposedly, the Atlanteans used crystals to harness the power of the earth.

Not entirely true. Even though your opinion is somewhat true, it's not completely. You can learn about many different religions, it's not hard. But you don't have to believe all of them. Like me, I'm many different religions but I only believe certain parts of certain ones.

I'm Agnostic. Sadly, I just don't buy Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and all of those other ones. I have very strong opinions on why I'm Agnostic, and sometimes I even make myself sound Atheist by the way I describe my idea's. Haha. However, I consider myself Agnostic mostly on the fact that it's impossible to determine if a divine being like 'God' is real or not, since our realm, which we call the universe, is so vast.

I believe that is right...or something...

Pretty controversal for an RPG's site. Anyway, I am Christian, the religion of Sarah. I went to a Lutheran private highschool and a lot of things that I learned there make sense to me, but I really have a problem with the whole fellowship thing. I mean why does God think that we need fellowship to be good Chrisians. I think that people are stupid and petty, the worst are people in power, and churches just have way too many people that falsely represent what Lutheranism is about. I just chill at home and read the bible and interperet what it means to me. So yeah my religion is Sarah.-Sarahphina;)
