I think it's because they try to make the enemies stronger, as in bigger HP, higher strength, but forget about everything else.

One thing I like to point out is that a high strength and bigger HP isn't a pain, but the tatics and patterns it uses. Everyone going to mash X or mash the attack button and heal occasionaly, but giving the enemy a arsernal of magic and great usage in its strategy is the real pain.

Sephiroth of KH1, Kurt Zita and others are named for having quite a good stategy.

its becouse larxene is a single battle and marluxia is like 2 battles so if u die ull half to do all over....... thats my theory and im sticken to it (:

But umm, I thought Marluxia was a pain in the ass just because you had to wait and dodge before you could attack him (I'm inpatient).

i always thought Larxene was easy up to the point where she used that electric beam attack where if u touched one of them all of them would come and blast you over and over unless you had a lv zero card
the hardest boss for me was vexen.... - shivers - there were many times where i wanted to throw the controller at the tv. i FINALLY figured out how to dodge the attack where he says "I shall freeze you!" and after that i beat the game. You have to roll RIGHT when he sticks his hand out

i always knew to dodge roll but he always beat me at card breaks
