View Full Version : SSFW IV - "Laputa: the Falling City"
Judge of Wisdom
06-01-2009, 08:23 PM
The war of the titans began with a simple spell, wishing away the heroes from the universe so they could compete amongst themselves to find the best, the one who could conquer the darkness, save the light, and embrace the twilight. Previous competitors emerged to fight for their title, cleared of all previous memories.
Three judges emerged from each allegiance. Wisdom from Light, Power from Darkness, and Courage from Twilight. These judges gathered the heroes together and created a stadium fit for the Gods called Laputa, an island floating above the clouds and hidden from sight. Ancient flying peoples created this city to watch over the planet and with its high technologies it was a perfect battleground. One final decision remained for the judges and the Judge of Wisdom (myself) decided to take the reigns, pinning the teams against each other and giving them a common goal.
However, something we did not foresee about Laputa was that it was falling apart, deteriorating over time and while we were adding teleportation devices, we accidentally unleashed the self-destruct method. Now the teams must fight each other for their right to escape, for the city does not have much time left in the sky. It will be nothing more than ruble in 5 days

Maka and Soul landed in a mysterious ruined garden of sorts. Maka stared up at the tall towers reaching into the sky and giggled. "Soul, it seems that Shinigami-sama is playing a joke on us." Soul stood rigged and did not laugh. "Maka, be cool, this is no joke." Maka looked up as a flock of unusual birds flew overhead. She was gazing up at the ruined towers. She looked around. "This is part of that competition isn't it?" Soul only nodded. She looked around, she was supposed to have three others on her team, but where were they. She frowned.
A little note fell at her feet. Soul picked it up and handed it off to her. It read "You must reach the tallest tower, but fret not it holds the core of power, reach deep and rely on your team, even though tough it seems." Soul grimaced. Maka, however, looked on the back. "There are others who would stop you if they can, make sure you keep a steady hand." Maka dropped it, crumbling it into her pocket. "Soul!" at once he shot into scythe mode and her hands. She swung him onto her back and began walking to the towers. Passing giant puddles of water along the way. Wherever they were it was huge, and not inviting. Soul was shaking as they reach the bottom of a collapsed tower. Maka looked at soul.
"You ready for anything?" Soul nodded fiercely as she crossed into the far-reaching tower. The stairs were crumbled and she crossed over to a table at one end. Above the table was a hole in the middle of the ceiling, caved in from some sort of ruble. She dug her feet into the ground and pushed with all her might. Her arms flew out, catching her as she struggled to pull herself to the second story. She gasped and rolled over breathing heavily. "There has got to be an easier way of doing this." Soul immediately looked around, noticing a moss-covered tower. "Maka, there" Maka grabbed a hold of it and tested it before she set up the tower.
Renji was about attack the two when he suddenly saw a blinding white light. It knocked him out for what seemed like hours but was really just seconds. He woke up to find large black flouting cubs. He didn't even know what to make of it. But two names went through his head witch made his head feel like it was about to split open. "Buffy and Kyle Rayner...who the hell are those two" Renji said as he stood up. He didn't know what he was doing here or why he was even here. He remembered he was in the soul society then he was at that weird world of broken ships and now this place. Then came a second voice. This voice made his knees buckle from under him. The voice was so powerful that it made his wish he was a hollow. you must reach the power core and try to deactivate the city falling, however, once the fifth day is up only one team will be able to survive. The teleportation device in the room can only fit one team. The team who deactivates the city will be able to leave.
"so...I have to find this teleportation device in the room...and I'm guessing that Buffy and Kyle Rayner are my team mates...but where are they...oh well....I guess I'll start with out them" Renji said as he begin to jump up the cubes. It was hard since they kept moving in odd ways. He had to duck under a few just to keep from getting hit. "This place makes the hollow world look normal" Renji said as he ducked under another cube. “Maybe if I find out who runs this castle I can” Renji was saying before a cube flew towards him. His only reaction was to slice the cube in half with his Zanpakuto.
He removed the sword from its sheath and hit the Cube, but no matter how hard he pushed the sword could not slice through the cube. The cube was pushing him ever closer to the edge of the cube he was standing on. He suddenly lost his balance and fell from the cube. But he hung from the near bottom of the cube. His Zanpakuto had changed shape and the end of the blade was keeping him from falling. As he pulled himself up he sighed as he continued up towards where ever the room lead him.

It was much too difficult to solicit a valid explanation.
What could easily be inferred was this; she was home. Now, she was not. What wicked, au fait sorcery conducted to accomplish such a feat was nothing less than concerning. Albeit, it was nothing more than significant, as well.
A quick glance at her hermetic surroundings was all that she'd taken. It was more than enough for her to make a mere assumption of her current whereabouts. Kilika Forest? A possibility, but why Kilika? Why would someone send her to a location only mere miles away? It could not be.
Once again, the issue maintained slight connotation in her mind. Her main concern was making it out of the dense, moss-hued environment, unscathed. She inched her way forward, though the slightest of her movement made a band of jingling metal and steel clashing together in a mob of decibels.
Lulu could only sigh.

"You silver-eyed witch!"
"Monster!"
"No different from a Yoma."
"Claymore."
The tireless Clare trudged through the dense wood, her broad Claymore suspended across her back. Where was she? This looked nothing like the area that she had been assigned to by the Organization, nor any of the other landscapes she had seen throughout her life. She released a small amount of her Yoma power, enough for her eyes to change color to a bright gold, quickening her pace, and silently flew through the thickets.
After traveling countless kilometers, the human-Yoma hybrid slowed down, looked for a small clearing, pierced her sword into the rough earth, and began leaning against it, closing her eyes. This isn't my world, she thought, and almost instantly, she drifted off into a deep slumber. Memories of the past flowing into her, the one person who she wanted back the most struck her soft lips.
"Teresa."

Rogue's head dangled at her chest, blasé, as though she had been hanged by a rope adhered to the ripe, cerulean ceiling. She continued a lazy pace into enchanting ways of underbrush and shrubbery the color of a crumbly, layered spinach coleslaw. Rogue was oblivious of the trajectory that she carried herself in this intangible frontier.
“I have to get outta here!” Her words ensnared and meshed into each other, played legato, though still fidgety in a scatterbrained, staccato motion. “How... did I even get here...?” The trees and brambles that drifted by often assumed that they were being engaged in a blind, yet enlightened tête-à-tête, and appeared to be very enthused at Rogue's dreamy soliloquy.
She locked her legs into the ground she currently stood at, her head buoying up from its indiscernible masquerade as a western counterpart. Rogue 's toasty terra-cotta eyes, a dyad of once pristine, iron marbles wedged into the cavities in her face now rusted over into burnt oatmeal, they canvassed through the vista of sage and chartreuse. The pageant was as though a game of chess at its tallest, stiletto point, a messy meridian of the game. Enameled in bark, the pieces all perched in inconsistent positions and altitudes. The tallest of them looked somehow just as old as the ground they were lodged in, masses of moss appearing as though mold on their facets, ab antiquo. What a mess. Although the fragrances of gardenia blossoms and incenses of lush, bosky potpourri had tantalized the otherwise dreary ambiance.
Rogue reposed against a nearby tree, betwixt this and another, crutching her weight on the hinge of her arm. She stood stiff, stuffing oxygen into her throat. A curdling sound let off from the tree that Rogue pressed into. Some queer, eerie affair nested in the lucid canopy. The tree's skin crinkled into itself—strange, how this remarkable episode was a cryptic premonition to its future as some rough draft of a manuscript tossed offhandedly into a landfill. The sounds, the writhing locomotions, expanded from within each and every crevice and each and every rough patch of bark. Its pulpy flesh split into fissures and began to mollify and melt like a fatty wax. Rogue's hand fell from contact with the tree. Had she done this? Would her mere presence here pull the curtains over this healthy, green population? She grabbed a pair of minty alabaster gloves from her jacket pocket, quickly pulling them on. Checkmate.

Shikamaru landed lightly on one of the cubes, taking a moment to reflect on what had happened. He was fighting a group of three, whom seemed highly skilled. But he himself was no alone. There was a yellow rat who seemed to able to have lighting manipulation. Also the leader of Team Kakashi, Kakashi, whom he knew well enough to trust in.
And then there was a man that looked similar to Naruto, but fought with a very large sword and had no ninja abilities, as far as he knew. After he had found a checkmate starategy against his opponents and when he was about to relay this strategy of his to his teammates, a blinding light had flashed arounf their battlefield.
He awoke to a very...peculiar room of some sort, filled with what seemed to be floating black cubes. And then the voice. The voice which seemed to radiate power. Power so strong that it could drive you insane. It's message was:
"You must reach the power core and try to deactivate the city falling, however, once the fifth day is up only one team will be able to survive. The teleportation device in the room can only fit one team. The team who deactivates the city will be able to leave."
That was enough to prompt him to start climbing these cube, which he found miraculously easy. But then there was his team. He didnt know where they were and although he feared for his own safety, he fear for their. He chuckled darkly at himself, a ninja afraid for the death of strangers he had met all but a few moments ago. But then again, ninja where there to protect others. He sighed tiredly, feeling laziness creep up his body. He fought it back, knowing the gravity of his situation.
He jumped again, landing in the middle of the next cube. I hadn't occurred him to look down but then he did and immediately he berated himself for doing so. The height was terrifying and he had to breathe deeply before jumping once again.
"How'd I even get here. And why. God. I cant even see the clouds."
He tough as he glanced up. More cubes came into view, endless and he sighed again. He continued what he though was a quick ascent without wasting enough energy to leave him defenseless in case there were enemies here. And he was sure there was. He stopped to take a breather and to see if there were some sort of light high above.
Of course there wasn't. The next cube floated out of reach, but he still took the leap, moving a bit of his chakra to his feet as they made contact with the strange metal and he was attached to it. But his weight made the cube move and soon he was upside-down, still attached to the cube. He was instantly irritated as he looked for a way to get out of the problem he was facing without losing the height he was. He saw a cube move under him and he dropped to it. He looked up. A cube was moving at him and he quickly jumped to the adjacent one. He heard the cube smash violently to the one he has been a couple of seconds ago.
He was puzzled but the sudden change in direction the cube had move but saw another move at a higher pace than the earlier one. He jumped to the next, dodging cubes as they went to smash him from their forbidden world, trying to eliminate the intruder. He continued his way up, dodging and jumping and hoping not to get pushed off.
Renji continued up towards the ceiling. He hadn’t seen any of his team mates for a while he feared that he might be the only one from the team left from the ship yard. "This has to be a test....yes the soul society did say they had a new test arena they wanted all soul reapers to test out...but why would they have me seal away almost 80% of my power in the seal on his body. At any rate he knew that releasing his power now might not be the best thing to do. Renji suddenly stopped and looked around. He could feel spiritual Pressure coming from below him. He looked down from the cube and saw some kid jumped up towards him. "Is that one of my team mates" Renji asked himself. Even though he had never seen his team mates....or even herd of them until now something about this kid made Renji feel uneasy.
"If this kid makes me feel like this...then he's the enemy" Renji said as he took out his Zanpakuto "I can't let him see my full power until I see his" Renji said as he placed his hand over the blade "Roar....Zabimaru" Renji Yelled as his blade changed. He suddenly swung his blade as it extended towards the new enemy. I have to attack first...I know I shouldn’t...but I have a bad feeling about this kid Renji thought

The Ruined Garden;
A vast field of green filled with hedges, bushes, trees and ruins of what could have been anything, a city, a place of worship, or even a fortress. Few would know and even less would tell, but one thing is certain, what is going on there now is odd indeed. Around the many corners and inside all hollow spaces you can hear the sounds of animals and insects, all hurrying around doing what their instincts tell them to. Now, there is nothing unusual about that at all! After all, those animals have been there for a long time, and all of them breathe air. The seven oddly colored fishes swimming around in the air, however, do not. Yet swim they do.
There is one red and one blue; two of them are a mix between yellow and green while the last three seem to change colors every now and then, varying from every possible color of the rainbow. All of them go up and down and in and out, while flapping their fins lazily in the air. They move as if given resistance by water, yet not a single drop can be found. There’s not pattern to it, no control, and many would call the sight entrancing.
There is something wrong with this picture, of course, but things are normally (if that is a word which could ever be used to describe her) wrong when it comes to Delirium. Things are messed up.
The seven fish suddenly start descending to the ground, and as if they suddenly that there is no water around they fall to the ground and start sprawling around. Then there are six of them, and then seconds later they are only three. The remaining three seem to glide into each other, becoming one, and where that one fish was moments before there now stands a girl, and she is a very young and peculiar girl indeed.
Her clothes are loose and two sizes bigger than they should be. She wears a white t-shirt with the words “SUMMER HOLIDAY” printed across them, above a picture of the sun and a palm tree. Over that she wears a dark purple jacket and a small skirt in the same color. On her feet she wears red sneakers and yellow socks.
Her clothes often change though, without Delirium ever even desiring it. So does her hair although it does tend to stay mostly bright red. Right now it’s really short and really curly but that’s bound to change any moment now too. Most would say she was fourteen, or maybe fifteen years old, but they would all be wrong. The truth is that Delirium is the youngest of the seven, and even as the youngest of the seven she is one of the oldest beings in existence.
She takes a few steps forward, looks around with a confused look on her face, and then opens her mouth. Anyone who has heard her voice won’t easily forget it because it is truly a wonder. Her tones go up and down as if she can’t decide what sounds best, and if anyone were to attempt to speak the same way few or none would succeed.
Even so, her voice does have its own charm. After all Delirium was Delight once, but that is a forgotten tale.
HuuMmMmm, wHat waS I sUppOseD tO dO hERe aGaiN?
She looks around one more and lifts her right finger to her lip, touching it gently. AwwWw… I fOrgOt.

Shibuya, the light of his world. One minute it was all there; they were all there. The next time and space became distorted. He watched as the world around him became inverted. Then, nothing. Absolute darkness was all that enveloped him.
"Heh..."
Light returned to the abyss he occupied but no longer was it the cheerful streets of Degenzaka but a cold metallic stronghold.
"What the hell?"
The cold deck of the chip vibrated as it moved. Neku laid face-down on the metal floor. The cold metal stung against his flesh shocking him into existence. He quickly sat up from the floor and looked around. He was now in a long hall of sorts. On the walls strange foreign lights blinked in unison like the many voices in the Scramble. All together they formed one magnificent light taking away all individuality. Neku's observation was cut short by a sudden voice in his head. It was as though a pack of Dixiefrogs were kicking at the back of his skull.
"Find the power cores. Activate the teleportation device. Fight for survival."
The noise stopped and peace returned to Neku's head. He got up slowly for the floor and looked around.
"Where the hell am I..."
Neku looked around the cold hold as though he expected the answer to be written on the walls. Only lights and metal covered the walls. He sighed deeply and began walking down the hallway to see if he could find more answers and hopefully a way out. He couldn't help but think that he didn't know what he had gotten himself into and that not even Joshua could have done something like this.

Shikamaru jumped, dodging another cube. Out of his peripheral vision, he saw something else move and it did not look like a cube. He hopped out of the way, surprised to see the object to be a blade. Shikamaru looked up and saw one of the opponents he and his team were fighting before 'this' happened. The man had striking crimson hair, long and help in a high ponytail with a white headband-type cloth around it. Surprised at the sudden attack, Shikamaru went full ninja mode and tried to recall what he had seen at the battle about this character.
This man, Renji if he remembered correctly, used unusual techniques. For one, his sword extended, although Shikamaru didn't know its range. His sword was more of a whip though. And it could only seem to be able to make three hits before needing to re-attach. He also seemed to so something similar to ninjutsu, similar a Fire Ball jutsu, except much it hadn't reached Shikamaru, or any of his teammates. The crater left, though, made him awknowledge that it was something no to be trifled with.
Shikamaru knew this man was a dangerous one. He had seen Kakashi struggle against him. But Shikamaru could use the field to his advantage. He already was. Shikamaru reached into his pocket and drew a kunai. He threw it at the man, but he wasn't aiming to injure, more like divert, because at that moment a cube went towards that man's and he was sure he would not notice the cube until too late. He jumped and drew a second kunai with an explosve tag amd threw it as well, just in case. Landing on a cube, he continued his ascent without looking back.
Renji had one choice. Dodge the cube and be hit by the strange weapon or dodge the weapon and be pushed down by the cube. Renji chose the better choice he let the kunai hit his shoulder as he jumped away from the cube. he thinks I'll chose a large cube over this little thing....but I'm guessing this one's the least of my worries Renji thought as he pulled the kunai out of his shoulder. I can't use Hihiō Zabimaru...not yet...only one I feel my life is in danger...I can tell this guy use's his surroundings to his advantage. But to can play that Game Renji thought as he climbed hire onto the cubes. "I have to stay away from his team mates....if I have to...I'll us Hihiō Zabimaru against more them one enemy" Renji said as he smiled.
"I haven’t had this much fun since Ichigo came to the soul society" Renji said as he whipped his Blade around again to attack Shikamaru but a cube got in the way of his attack. "Damn it....he's using the cubes around him....well then....let's se what he dose when I do this" Renji said as he swung his blade again but he was not aiming for Shikamaru...his blade wrapped around a cube. "Special delivery" Renji yelled as he whipped his blade around using it as a sling shot to shot the cube at Shikamaru.

Hm...
The constant jingling and clanking slurred into one another in a consolidation of various natural sound as the woman plodded forward into the impenetrable wood. The powerful gusts of air crashed upon the leaves and branches barely dangling above her body. The crunching of frail, brittle leaves beneath her feet synchronized with the continuous chirping and squeaking of the harmless woodland creatures that nearly suffocated her feeble existence. It seemed as if the forest had been undergoing an ensemble of habitual solace. The seemingly calming environment cascaded with serenity and ambiance.
Or, so it seemed.
Was she alone? Excluding the creatures which soundly inhabited the substantial forest, it seemed so. However, her insignificant senses could not simply grasp the existence of a similar being.
Lulu had been faced with a drifting option. Perhaps she could stay in her current position. Surely, if there were any others occupying this filled space, she would eventually encounter them, but at the risk of possibly waiting for her own certain demise? Could she afford to take such a measure?
Such seemingly insignificant issues she had been faced with. She felt stifled by them - dragged in by their influences and slowly, painfully being crushed within. Analyzing these once more, she'd come to realize that even the slightest of these would soon determine her fate, her retribution.
"This is our journey... We should leave together."
She'd finally recalled herself, in the past, speaking those very words. What once seemed like a mere nugatory statement would actuate her future. She had, in her own way, just come to a crossroads of her destiny.
...
In a sudden collapse of her balance, Lulu abated her weight onto a nearby tree in patience.
The sun set near the failing edge of an ancient city once called 'Laputa', brilliant flare sparkling over the lush of green life that spread beyond the Lake of Laputa. A low breeze sung deep and magical, the sound of the water splashing against solid rocks synchronized a perfect goodbye music as the stretch of trees bowed deeply in gratitude.
Five more days, and all these will vanish.
Plshk, plshk - so-ah - plshk...
Thump.
Luke Skywalker stood proudly at one of the giant stones laid deepest towards the center of the lake of black, though his heart was proud of nothing. Trouble was clearly etched in every expression as he pondered the mysteries of the deep water. Danger lurked at every corner, even now just a few feet beyond his position laid a massive crocodile-like creature, waiting.
And he was supposed to dive deep into the water and obtain a power core that will win his freedom, which Luke seriously doubted because every step into this accursed lake would be another towards hell gate. The Force screamed danger in every single pore of his cell as adrenaline spurred to life without warning. His usually cool and calm composure was threatened, badly.
It also marked the lake as his only hope to survive. A sigh finally escaped his lips as he leaped into the air a clear ten feet and landed right to his previous location, a Force jump to clear his thoughts and heart of doubt. Fear was beyond him now. Scattered before his legs were homogeneous equipments of sorts. A trickle of inspiration told him that they were breathing devices, a cup for the mouth and a pipe linking to a metal beg pack, these were clearly technology of highly advanced civilizations. The Laputians. Luke then assumed this special space that's hidden from plain sight would be a perfect start to dive into the lake, except for those hidden eyes.
The eyes of a predator. Irritated, Luke muttered loudly under his breath, "I just gotta have the love of killers; first Sith, then once-Sith, now flesh eating monsters?..." A flash of blue light emerged unwavering into thin air right after Luke was finished with the breathing device. Closing his eyes and calling upon the Force to aid him, he cleared the way and swam. Then dived, winking out of sight.
The pair of eyes vanished.
Ten minutes later, four pieces of decapitated meat floated on the surface of the Lake of Laputa.
So it was two, not one...

Ulquiorra squinted as the bright sun burst straight into his eyes. "What happened?" He remembered the chest...That pirate ship that emitted nothing but death and sheer terror. He checked behnd his eye. The containment cube was no longer there. "Damn......" Ulquiorra walked through the forest, swinging his arm through trees, they metal skin singing as it sliced the bark, the birds shrieking as they escaped the falling tree. Death surrounded Ulquiorra, it covered his every outlook. He was death...But not entirely. He represente the thing...One of the ways of death. Nihilism. Ulquiorra was nihilistic, sadistic, anything but happy. He continued to walk through the forest, his spiritual pressure hardening, crushing stones and shredding roots when he willed it to do so. He walked along, hiding within the shade, killing now and for ever more. What he said would shudder the minds and hearts of the righteous who met him.
"I am not afraid of death, for I am death, and a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand."

Peter slowly opened his eyes, and looked around the area where he had woken up in. The last thing he remembered was teleporting to the future and then nothing. He put out an arm and lifted himself of the ground, groaning as he did so. The teleportation had not been nice to his system. The young man let out another groan, as he rolled onto his knees and pushed himself into a standing position, he then let his ponderous gaze wonder around the world he had now found himself in.
It seemed like a forest, but not the forests of the earth he knew. Gigantic trees rose five hundred feet in the air, seeming to reach towards the skies. While down near height level, growth abounded in masses. Everywhere Peter turned his gaze he saw something green, brown or yellow. The amount of colour in this place blinded him, until he shielded his gaze with an arm. Yet with the amount of brightness abounding in this forest, there was an undertone of death, and despair. If Peter strained his ears he could swear that he could hear a growling noise of some beast faraway off in the distance. I better be careful in this place… Peter thought to himself, as he chose a direction at random and started walking jauntily through the forest.
He was content to continue at a leisurely pace, until he found out what this place was and who lived in it. He turned his gaze towards the sun, and saw that it was around three o’clock in the afternoon. Somehow he knew that when the sun came down, and darkness abounded, horrifying creatures would appear, creatures that he properly had never seen before. I better find someone to travel with…or I could be fodder. Peter thought to himself as he jumped over a long, dark tree stump in his way.
As he turned the corner he suddenly saw a young boy, stalking through the forest, glaring at things that suddenly turned to dust. Peter turned to walk away, when he released that he needed an ally, no matter how evil or menacing they were. With this thought in mind, he walked towards the young warrior steadfastly, waiting until he was spotted.

Maka and Soul were at the top of the tower but as they emerged into the filtered sunlight they saw this tower was just shorter than the others above. Higher in the garden were spirals of taller towers, drifting into the clouds above. Maka cursed while Soul transferred back to human mode. "Weren't there supposed to be some people helping you?" asked Soul. "I already saw some weird woman down below, looked nothing like the three supposedly on your team." Maka glanced at the distance between, vaguely ignoring Soul. "Soul! weapon! now!" he responded immediately, whipping into weapon form. Maka jumped toward the space between the next tower and missed drastically. She flew forward and swung Soul upward bringing her fall to a stop. The scythe buried itself into the side of the building and she slowed to a stop.
Maka sighed with relief and swung herself up so that she was standing on Soul's outreached end. She jumped into the air and came back down on Soul, causing the pole to swing upwards back at her and repeated, until she had grabbed the ledge. Hoisting herself up she saw that this tower was not as badly ruined as the last. She grabbed some rope from the nearby room and threw it below. Soul transformed back and quickly grabbed the rope, letting Maka bring him to her. Once there he was back in scythe form and she was charging up the stairs. She hit one set of stairs where she had slashed on the way down and it crumbled below her. A large chunk of the building slid from its place up high and went crashing to the garden below. Maka tried to steady her footing but a huge gap stood between her and the stairs. She cursed again.
Soul smiled and watched as the tower chunk fell to the ground, knocking bricks below out of their place. Suddenly a shaking motion vibrated through the tower and more chunks of rock started to fall. "Maka, there's no time." He transformed back in a fast motion and pushed her across, transforming into a scythe in midway across. Maka acted quickly, grabbing a hold of Soul and swinging him sideways so that she was hanging onto the stairway. She pulled herself off the ruble and emerged onto the roof. The tower was falling at an angle this time, toward a taller one. She steadied herself. Soul grew impatient. "Maka, you're going to kill yourself." She silenced him by throwing up a hand. The tower slid from its position and fell forward, crashing into another tower. As it made contact she flew forward into one of the windows of the new tower and waited. The tower withheld the outside force and she made her way to the stairs, only to find them blocked.
"We're making horrible time, the other team could be there already!"
"Shuddup I already know that"
"Then hurry."

The Ruined Garden;
Delirium started humming a tune she had heard once. Where and when she could not remember, but the melody was fresh and strong in her memory as if she had heard the tune yesterday, and who knows, maybe that actually was when she heard it. She scratched her head and as she did her hair grew a couple of inches on the right side and the curls straightened out a little, then she looked forward and started walking down a stone path.
"I wOndEr wHo puT this rOaD hEre!" she said out loud, apparently addressing someone behind her.
"dO yOu kNoW, baRnaBy?"
She turned her head to the right and looked behind her, then scratched her head again. She then turned her head all the way around to the left, but still all she could see was empty air, ruins, trees and grass. "UhhHhMmm… BaRnabY?"
No one answered her. Disappointed she started walking forwards again at a steady pace, while she thought about where Barnaby could have gone. "I lOst hiM aGaiN! UgH, brOthEr wOuLd bE aNgrY!" she thought, and as that thought was being drowned by the millions of stray thoughts inside Deliriums mind, all arguing with each other in an endless debate, she heard something crumble and looked up in time to see a large part of a nearby tower smash to the ground.
Before she could ponder the situation further, more pieces started to come loose, and then the entire tower started falling towards a nearby larger one.
"OhH ThAT’s RIgHT!" she called out in revelation.
"I’m lOokInG fOr a biG tOwEr!"
Pleased and proud of her accomplishment she started forward again, eager to find the biggest tower she could so that perhaps she would remember even more.

Amaterasu woke with a jerk. She yawned lazily, and streched out on the wonderfully cold floor. It felt as if she had been dreaming for eternity...exactly as she had felt as a statue in Kamiki village...but that can’t be possible, she thought. She was on the ark, journeying back to the Celestial plains, she remembered, and was reassured by the juddering motion of the craft.
But, where was Waka?
Amaterasu stood up quickly, and looked around the room she was in anxiously. It was then that she noticed the silver sheen of the floor and walls. The ark was certainly not metal. With growing concern she bounded towards the small round window, to try to find where she was. She was awe-struck by the incredible view- a gargantuan, floating castle, and city, which was slowly crumbling away. Shocked, she stared until her breath had fogged the window up. She leapt away, leaving smudges from her nose on the thick glass, and whined in worry and uncertainty.
As she tried to think of a plan, suddenly, she heard the clang of footsteps from the corridor outside. With no other options, she gathered her courage, steeled herself for whatever it may be, and went to meet it.

Ulquiorra walked on, trees falling in his wake. He turned his head, sensing a familiar presence. He looked at Peter, still not knowing his name, and said, "You!" The only word was said, and he walked over to Peter. "You were helping me in that other place.....Care to join me here?" Ulquiorra looked at him, stared into his eyes, waiting for the response. He pierced he gaze, and behind him, trees crashed and cracked, his spirtual pressure crushing them. "This world is....trash." Ulquiorra thought. "None of this is nessecary. We have no need of it in Hueco Mundo, and we have no need of it here. This world is...rotten. Just as rotten as Soul Society."
"Wherever death is, I will be there. And death is in front of you, as am I."

It was so noisy. The school was filled with chatter, gossip. Things he hated, things that didn’t matter in the slightest. The innocence perforating the halls gave Rex Greene the chills, the unaware state of mind they all were in making his blood rush to his head. He was going to lose it this time. Sweat started to form, his muscles twitching. It had been too hard today, not without Melissa’s comfort. She was gone, though, and he was left here. Alone, with no one else he even remotely cared for.
In the middle of his episode, rational thought managed to slip its way through the openings in his closing mind. Even if they were here, would he really want them to see him like this?
He was nothing but a monster now. He should give up. Their blood called to him, the Ancients whispering in his head.
Consume them.
His fingers curled into fangs. Adrenaline pumped through his body, the mind of a Darkling slowly taking over. He could feel nothing but hunger for these humans, and rage. Oh, the rage drove him wild. Craving to destroy that which pushed his kind away… It was so tempting. His eyes locked onto the throat, the easiest place to kill. The way their red hot blood would feel on his hands…
His body moved the very second his human side lost control. Suddenly, his entire form had changed into a predator’s stance. Crouching low to the ground, his eyes turned red, and the shadow of evil rising into his irises. He leaped, taking him a long distance to the nearest prey. Nails pointed down, ready to cut into the soft skin of that which was nothing compared to his own power.
Then everything was silenced, except for the sound of himself crashing into the ground with a ferocious snarl. Immediately, he spun back onto his feet, twisting into circles to find his attacker. Surprise overwhelmed him, and his darkling mind couldn’t comprehend what had happened. The entire scenery had changed, and his prey had disappeared. A new land filled with ruined stone sculptures, pillars, and sparse buildings. The rest was lost among a mass of shrubs and flowers.
A garden, his other half told him, a whisper from the locked part of his mind. The side that seemed to make more and more sense as the temptation to kill subsided. Still, his darker mind was in solid control, and it gave him thirst to find more prey.
The only problem was that there was none.
Complete silence filled his head, and his mind cleared away clouds that had made him lose control. It was so peaceful. No metal that he could feel anywhere. The human touch that he could always sense everywhere was faded with age. The garden was deserted… Except for one single thing…
The scent of a human; the trail of prey.
Without a word, he gave chase, the clouds covering his vision again as the Ancient presence dwelling in his mind filled his thoughts with lust.
Soon, there would be blood.

Jerking awake from a rustle of leaves, Clare almost soundlessly arised herself, lifting her large sword and sheathing it. Feeling well-rested, the warrior began walking through the brambles. Maybe... I'm here to accomplish something? she theorized. But... what might this something be? Continuing her trek through the wilderness, Clare stumbled upon a sound, a loud sound. Looking every which way, she realized the sound was her own stomach! Being a Claymore, she very rarely had to eat, due to a change that happened from the transfer from human to Claymore. Searching for a form of wildlife to eat, she eventually settled on a wolf, cooking it over a fire that she made.
After her meal, Clare continued to travel, until she stumbled upon a woman, clad in a black dress with many buckles and seemingly in the same position as her: lost. Doesn't have the aura of a Yoma... Clare concluded, deciding to confront the woman. Approaching her, the Claymore said, "From the looks of you, it seems you're lost. Well, I'm in the same predicament. Perhaps we could... try to get out of here together?" She tried to sound as calm as possible.

Black Wargraymon found himself on the floor covered in vines, grass and animals on him. "What happened?! Was I not in a wrecked ship filled with spiders and skeletons?" He thought to himself, as he looked around. He saw nothing but wild life growing and blooming. "This place...I don't like it." He said as he got up from the floor.
He soon began to walk around. Then he remembered about Peter and Ulquiorra. "Those two wonder were they could be at...but for now I better make sure this place is free of unwanted guest!" Black Wargraymon thought to himself once more as he gave out a loud roar when he was done. Teh roar was loud enough that many creatures moved behind the trees from were he was around. "So there is life on this place besides me and the life of trees. That cant be good." He thought to himself as he came across a huge tree.
"Well I get a better view from up there." He said as he used black tornado to speed up the proses on going up to the top of the tree. Tree branches fell as he was passing by it. "Huh what's that?" He said as he stopped half way to see an animal with more than five eyes. "That's one ugly Digimon if it is one." He said as he swung his arm and knocked it down to the floor.

Shikamaru hear the man yell "Special Delivery" and he whipped around in time for the cube to him him, sending him off of the one he was on. He fell, and saw the man grin before a couple of cubes blocked his view. Frantically, he looked for a cube to break his fall, but he landed wit ha breath-taking thump against another cube.
How inconvenient.
He breathed slowly, trying to recover from his fall. He glanced up to see if he had lost a great height, but it had only been a few feet. He jumped from a cube, thinking of a way of defeated the man who had engaged him moments ago. He stopped and crouched while placing his hands together to form a circle and began to think. A few minutes passed before he opened his eyes again and continued on his way.
He caught sight of his opponent, who seemed to have been waiting for him. He stopped in a cube in front of him and drew three kunai. Taking perfect aim, he threw them. The three kunai "missed" completely and hit three different cubes, one for each. Shikamaru grimaced a bit before speaking. "If I were you, I would turn around and run. Or hop more accurately."
Renji smiled. "so...we are getting serious are we...when then let me show you something" Renji said smiling as he held his blade close to his chest ""Ban....kai" Renji said as a blue energy shot out of the ground under his feet. "I'll show you what a real Soul reaper can do" Renji said smiling as the cube under his feet exploded. In the smoke it looked like something was moving. Something big. It moved around like a snake but its head looked like a lions due to Mane around the creatures head. As the smoke cleared so did the creator and Renji. Renji smiled as he stood on a cube above Shikamaru.
"Hihio Zabimaru" Renji said smiling as the bone Snake. Renji was holding what looked like the handle of a blade but as you scanned the blade it slowly ended up where the Bone snake head was. Renji smiled. "You have skill I'll give you that....but since us soul reapers like to give our names to who we kill allow me to introduce my self.....names Renji Abarai" Renji said smiling. "Now...let's see what you can do against my Hihio Zabimaru" Renji said smiling as the bone Snake Roared again.

He was surprised, that much was for sure. But he had seen worse. Or so he thought. He searched his brain for anything that might help him against this giant bone serpent, but anything short of a summoning wouldn't help him, unless...
He pulled hard. The strings attached to the kunai that he had missed on purpose pulled the cubes towards the beast. Although Shikamaru knew it would not affect it, he had an idea. He directed two of the cubes towards the monster and the third towards Renji, above him. He drew kunai with exploding tags and threw them at the beast as well.
Shikamaru had to rethink his strategy. This was an unprecedented turn of events. He had thought of the possibility of some sort of special power, but not by this caliber. Berating himself, he looked around for something to help him, when he noticed something. There were a couple of cubes in a row, leading towards the wall of whatever place they were in. And a button.
Jumping quickly, he drew and threw another one of his kunai at the button activating whatever it did. Turned out that it made every cube scatter and the cubes attached to the walls also joined the mess. The cubes began to ricochet against each other and there was a larger amount of metal against metal, sure to disorient anybody. Shikamaru had lost sight of his opponent and he was sure Renji had as well. Taking the advantage of confusion, he began to ascend, senses alert if he is spotted.

Neku walked down the lonely hallway. It was almost symbolic to him. He felt as though he might have been going made. He pictured that this was what his mind was before he died in the RG and was pushed into the broken UG. Laws and rules were meant to be broken in that plane and Neku had a feeling that the same went for here. Neku kept completely quite while walking through the desolate halls. A low hum filled the space that he occupied as he followed the root. Then, a sudden feeling told him to become alert.
"Pins..."
He had been stupid. He hadn't checked what pins were available for him. He didn't have time to check them. Besides, the light was too low for him to truly see. He simply stuffed his hand into his pockets and pulled a pin out. He took no time to study it and ran down the hallway as quietly as possible. At the end of the hall h found a simple door. From behind it he could hear the soft steps on the floor. He reached for the door and pushed it lightly. The door swung open and he was met with a beast.
"GARAGE WOLF!"
Neku held his pin out in his open hand. He felt the power begin to generate within him and flow through his veins. It traveled to his hands and into the pin. But something stopped him as he was about to release the energy. He looked into the wolf's pitch black eye and felt no fear. He watched it smooth pen like curves. It reminded him much of the Noise but he knew this was not an enemy. On the contrary, it was a friend. He placed the pin back into his pockets and looked at the wolf.
"Hey?"

"Ughhh" Luffy moaned as he woke up from a very weird dream he was having, it involved him being teleported to a strange island and then being stuck on a ship that he needed to get off. It wasn't a dream as Luffy soon realized as he began to get up from the steel floor. As he rubbed his head trying to relive the ache he had he saw that he was on a ship. Not just any ship though, it was a battle ship, Luffy could tell from the layout of the controls and the buttons that had the words "Fire" written above them.
Luffy took the helm and looked out to the sky and saw that he was circling a tower that didn't seem too sturdy, the rocks seemed to be almost unstable, to the point where they could begin falling off. Suddenly a boulder broke off and Luffy had enough time to evade it but the shock in itself was enough to get his full attention.
He looked around the deck quickly to see two other people lying there.
"Oih, wake up!" Luffy tried saying but they both seemed to be in a deep slumber.
"Hmm maybe i should hit them?!" Luffy thought as he slapped both men on the face, the sound that was made suggested that it was a hard slap, but neither of them stirred.
"Looks like I have to do this on my own." Luffy said, not to long after did her see another ship that was heading there way.

Maka rolled over panting. She was exhausted, there were still rows of columns above her current one. She sighed, picking Soul back up. Soul was gazing up at the next tower. "Maka there's no way to the other one." She turned to look and found it was true. There was nothing but a column above her. A light bulb ignited in her head at that moment. She moved to the column and aimed the sharp blade at the column as Soul nodded. "Nice thinking." She chopped it down but it remained in its place. Moving strategically she kicked it and it went falling into the other tower, knocking a hole in the outer wall for her. She started running as the pole began to give way under her. Just as a piece slipped out from under her she pushed off and went flying into the hole she had created. Her arms were flung out as she collided with the platform and the column behind her shattered into the ground.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead and smirked. "Soul I almost died." He burst out laughing, becoming human form. "Maka, I know this is sort of a competition, but our enemies have not even given chase to us yet. We have this competition in the bag." Maka high-fived him and he transformed back. She started to walk slowly up the stairs and when she reached the top a faint breeze whipped through her hair. Looking around she found there was no way to the next tower either and sighed. No column, it had been eroded and collapsed. No falling tower that she could weaken. She grabbed Soul tightly and swung him in a circle before releasing him. He flew at the other tower and collided with it, soaring through an open window.
"Maka, what the hell!" he got back up and dusted his shoulder off. Looking around he saw that he was in a bedroom. "What the heck do you want me to do?" "Grab some rope and something weighted." Soul turned and found curtain ties which were just long enough to tied together. He saw nearby a tiny furnace was sitting by the window. He tied the furnace to one end and tossed it with all his might. It slammed into the ground at Maka's feet and she jumped to avoid it. Once it had come to a stop a little farther behind the ledge she grabbed it. Soul quickly tied it to the massive bed and wedged it behind the door so it would stay. Maka tugged it to see if it would hold her weight and then stepped softly onto the makeshift rope. Making sure to keep her ground when the wind was blowing she slowly made her way across. Once close enough Soul grabbed her and helped her up.
"Don't ever do that again."
"Don't worry," she said panting. "I sure as hell won't."
An impossibly wide and gloomy gate to an underwater city greeted you the moment you finished up those pests. A tinge of awe swept your feet as you slowly swam your way towards the pathway, ready to go deeper into the core of this enigmatic grave. Strong as it seemed, time has taken a toll on its metal frame and it actually broke off at several edges. It was held at its place only by a few well placed, well designed connections, like hinges of a door. And if Luke was not mistaken, this 'metal' could float, because he noticed a small chip flew past his face. A kind of metal that has never been seen yet.
However, the young man did notice parts of it that were not weakened by nature. They were like, huge dents and tears, the kind that could only be done by creatures the size of six X-Wings or more. Luke squinted his eyes at the unpleasant sight. Up close now, he could even see claw marks plaguing the once mighty shield, now all but a chunk of unused metal. What exactly dwells underneath this gate?
It was time to find out. Here goes nothing, Luke suppressed the urge to take a deep breath less he waste oxygen, and slip through one of the openings. A second later, his eyes widened in disbelief. His mind was old and most of the time, he does see everything. But this? What... guess it is true that you learn new things everyday... Or rather, see in this occasion, Luke thought to himself.
It was truly a marvelous sight to behold. Pure white walls of stone outlined the incredible architecture of ancients, standing strong and straight to hold the city. Numerous numbers of old pillars aligned themselves on every wall and every path to greet its guests, though some were broken and more snapped in half. The mere mention of size about this city is staggering. He cannot see the bottom, he cannot see how far, and he should've been because the lake wasn't all that big at all.
This means that the surface was merely a small opening to this underwater paradise, it's like an ant's nest with much, much more space underneath!... I'll have to trust the Force on this one if I ever want to find that bleeding power core.
Something then caught his eyes, flickering and easily missed if he hadn't swung his head at that direction. He saw for just a second but enough, a pair of yellow orbs. Very big yellow orbs.
"Time to get working." Swearing under his breath, something he has long ago gave up because of his duty (With the exception of Han's presence, no doubt), he went to find a layout of the city, perhaps etched somewhere around here. The Force is strong with him, and he will not be thwarted easily, monster or nature.
Echoes.
The shrill blast of car horns reverberated within the confines of his skull, followed by the uneven pattern of someone's fist against mahogany as the culprit pounded out their favorite tune. A whistle, coupled with a low rumbling noise that belonged to a moving truck, roared for a quick second before abruptly ending.
A city that never sleeps.
The natural impulse to such discomfort would be to roll over on one's side and cover the unexposed ear with either an arm or a spare pillow. His carnal state did not allow such petty, pointless gestures; instead, radiation rippled outward from his hands, deteriorating everything in it's destructive path.
A flaw.
Should his poison reach the street below, those people would inevitably call in sick to work and see a doctor. Eventually they would return to their homes - it is highly probable that his neighbors would be among the first to become sick - and moan. The streets would be replenished because this was New York City, AND he would have to deal with moaning neighbors.
Unfortunately, he realized this moments before the branch had withered and snapped.
The impact was softer than he could have hoped for; since his thoughts were in the Big Apple, expectations ran to concrete. After recovering, a quick survey told him that he was in a garden.
This cannot be happening.

Delirium had just emerged from a path between two tall hedges, and was staring at the man who looked kind of surprised at his surroundings. She looked at him for a few painfully silent seconds, and then took a step towards him. Short moments after her sight grew misty and the thoughts in her head felt like they were escaping. Without a warning her left leg exploded with a slight pop, and tiny bubbles were spreading everywhere. Delirium bit the tip of her finger and looked down at where her left leg usually was, and then she looked at the bubbles.
”I dIdn’T tElL yOu tO Do tHaT, noW diD I mIstEr bUbbLes? iF yOu kEeP dOinG thAt, I’lL hAvE tO stOp yoU!"
As if she had forgotten all about the man nearby she started jumping around on one foot, flailing her hands around trying to burst all the bubbles. She tripped and fell, but as she was reaching for support her foot reappeared out of nowhere, and she was able to steady herself.

Maka was stuck gazing down at the garden and full of exhaustion when she saw two tiny figures talking to one another. One of them, a girl, was hopping on one leg. Soul followed her gaze. "Enemies." He nodded. Maka looked around. "They haven't even begun pursuit, we can't really give them a reason to yet. We need to get further." Soul looked up, three more towers stood in the way of them and victory. "We need to cut off their path, we've already taken one of the towers down, a couple more would really slow them down. Maybe give us enough tome to actually get reinforcements." Maka got up, legs wobbling from too much use and shot across the gap between buildings. Once to the other building she batted the heavy objects down below at her opposing team. Huge downfalls of objects slammed into the ground below and she took off running. Slicing the tower every which way to weaken it.
Once to the roof of this next tower she jumped as far as she could, slicing into the core of the next tower to slow her fall. She escaped through a nearby window and tossed more objects down as she climbed the stairs. When she was to the top she stopped and looked down at the two. With a more boastful voice than she intended she screamed. "Catch me if you can FREAKS!" With that she was gone, just dust in the wind and leaped to the next building. She rolled to avoid injury and slammed into a large stove, which slid through the window and flew towards the ground with the other previous objects. She clapped her hands together and smiled, rapidly reaching the top of the second-to-the last tower. She found the distance between towers to be awfully wide and turned back to look. The tower below had nothing in it so she turned and saw that the tower she was on was shaking violently. She ducked and waited until the precise amount of time and went flying straight through one of the next windows. She was on the very last tower, second only to the tallest tower. She ran with a new drive and reached the top.
"Maka, someone's in hot pursuit, our little derailing failed. They're right in front of you." She cursed, tripping over herself and slamming into the ground of the roof and went flying towards the edge. "Maka!" She caught herself at the last second and steadied her body. She was standing shakily, but she was hurt, her knee was oozing with blood. Slowly she looked up to face her opponent. "Let's get this over with." Soul smirked. "Same old Maka, always facing a fight as if it were nothing. "Don't overdo it though, this team looks danger-ous." Maka grabbed Soul and put him behind her. Just master and scythe, a battle against another soul. "Weeeeelllllllll?"

As large pieces of stone rained down upon her, Delirium diverted her attention from the man before her and looked up at what, or who, was throwing them. The last she heard before seeing the mysterious thing jumping around in a tower was “Catch me if you can FREAKS”.
Delirium had always been aware that she was kind of a freak, but she didn’t like it when others were aware of it. Also she had always been fond of games, and since this girl (at least Delirium thought it sounded like one) apparently wanted to play a game of tag, Delirium decided to comply.
She looked over at the man who had yet not said anything, then with an apologetic smile she said ”UhM, sOrRy, bUt sOmEonE wAnTs tO plaY wItH mE!"
With a playful laughter she closed her eyes and felt her body change as she focused on the form she wanted to take. Her body shrunk and dark brown feathers grew out from her skin, and in the course of a mere second or two she had become an oversized eagle. She was about to take to the skies when she looked down at her feet and noticed that she had, unintentionally, transformed them into duck feet.
”WhoOps.”
Without another moment’s hesitation she took to the air with great speed and headed for the girl she saw earlier. If this was indeed a game, Delirium was hell-bent on winning.
She flew as high as she could, and on the top of a tower (not the tallest but tall nevertheless) she could see someone moving. "mY target" she thought, and flew even faster.

The young man had spoken aloud to Peter and Peter cocked an ear to him listening to the words the young boy spoke. A ship? He thought, and suddenly the memories came shooting back to him at the speed of light, he remembered everything, he had been fighting with this person before in a graveyard. Interesting…. Peter thought to himself as he wondered wether or not he should read this young human’s mind. Suddenly the trees and bushes cracked and fell to dust behind him, at the will of the boy. Trees that had stood for eons, crushed in a gaze. This soon made up Peter’s mind as he sent a probe of his mind at the boy.

Darkness… He thought to himself. …and yet I need an ally. It was now that Peter spoke out loud as this probe had only taken seconds.
“Sure I’ll work with you…” He murmured out loud as the sun slowly descended beneath the horizon. “But we should find a camp and get out of….” Peter was suddenly cut off as a giant wolf rushed out of the forest and came straight for Peter. It was bigger than normal wolves; about as huge as a horse, it had dark shaggy hair and seemed to reek death. It howled a blood-thirsty howl as it made a charge at Peter, baring it’s fangs at what was about to become its dinner.
Peter swore and jumped higher than any normal man could jump, and landed on the other side of the wolf barely avoiding its snapping bite. Without even breaking a sweat, a ball, of glowing, blue, fire appeared in Peter’s hand and was thrown without any thought towards the beast. Peter grinned, confident that the beast would burst into flame or at least be burned; he was not to be satisfied, as the ball of flaming heat disappeared into the wolf, which turned and grinned an evil grin at Peter. “What the hell?” Peter yelled out, as the gigantic beast started to foam and suddenly it turned into a fire wolf. It had absorbed the fire and become it. “Fire proof wolves….whatever next…” Peter spat out as he got ready to grapple with the wolf for his life.

Maka spotted a flying bird not far from her target. It was swooping toward her. She held her position and waited. "If you want some of this, come and get it" she ducked and went back inside the tower, dodging whatever fate was above her and sat in an over-sized bedroom. She poked herself out the window and saw nothing. This creature was swift, and harmful. She quickly moved to the second window and saw the bird on her trail. Grabbing a hard vase she threw it in the air after the bird and waited.
Maka was now looking for all sorts of objects she could throw, heaving one after the other out the window in a fury. When she had run out of objects to throw she collapsed on the floor. Soul bumped her to get up and she emerged onto the roof again, waiting for the bird to reveal itself. "Where are you birdie?"

Delirium zigzagged between various objects. A rock clipped her wing and she fell a few feet, but she quickly regained the same altitude as before. She looked down at the roof of the tower and realized that the girl from before was gone, and that she must have run inside. Delirium knew that she was slow at times and didn’t really want to stay in her vulnerable eagle form for too long; after all, she wasn’t too fond of heights. Regardless of that she flew even higher and positioned herself directly above the tower, and with a wide grin she underwent another transformation. Where there was an oversized eagle just a moment ago, there now was an even larger hippopotamus. Since a hippopotamus unfortunately can’t fly, she went crashing down towards the roof of the tower.
”REaDY oR NoT HErE I CoME!” she yelled with a playful tone as her huge, heavy body decimated the roof of the tower, and crushed her way further down.

Maka was staring at a massive hippo that had fallen right through top of the roof, causing parts of the structure to give way below. Soul gritted his teeth together and winced. "Maka, something's not right about this person." Maka ignored him, pointing her scythe down below, the staircase was the only structure standing on the rooftop now and Maka jumped down below, catching herself so that she was right above the creature. She was holding onto the ledge of the stairs and swinging back and forth. She jumped to the side, getting an idea and ran a circle around the outer of the circle, causing a large amount of debris to fall onto the creature below. Once she was done she stared down below, almost waiting for the real fight to begin.
"Soul I need you to stay with me," she said, twirling him behind her back. She was stuck on an island of stairs, the rest of the tower falling down below. "Come out stupid Hippo! I know you're not dead yet." Then she proceeded to make chicken noises at the top of her lungs. "Maka, you're an idiot and so uncool, this thing isn't that weak."

Before she could react debris was crashing down on her back, and soon she was completely buried. Seconds passed but nothing seemed to be moving within the pile of debris apart from a single, large slab of stone that fell down from the top. Beneath where the stone was, tiny bubbles were streaming out from a small crack, floating upwards. When the first bubble reached Maka, all of them burst in a myriad of colors and on top of the pile of debris Delirium appeared out of thin air.
She smiled up at the girl and lazily waved her hand.

Lucy gasped after re-surfacing from the hollows of the dark yet mysterious body of water. It was actually more like a wormhole - a mystical gate that led to a whole new world. Yet this time it was underwater. Instantly, her mind traced back to some old folklore that only old timers would share, passing it on from generation to generation. But she realized this wasn't any ordinary slab of marble encasing her being. It was another journey that was yet to begin in a matter of time, whether she chose to or not.
Her blood red eyes scanned the area, quickly yet taking in every detail. Cracked and discolored pillars stood grandly, yet in a cooky manner in a strong diameter that enclosed the area in which she stood. Cocking her head to one side, her eyes caught a glimpse of a faded copper sign, with many lines overlapping each other. Flipping her waist-length strawberry red hair over her pale shoulder, she cracked her fingers and walked up to it slowly.
It seemed like some sort of map - yet it barely made any sense in her rampaging mind. She needed someone to interpret it, yet of course, no one would be around to accompany her except the creatures lurking throughout the haunting ruins. Her eyes crept over to the lake in which stood still in the middle of the expanse. What other alienistic beings roamed underneath the horizon? She'd have to come across the answer sooner or later. She just desperately wished that time wouldn't have to come so soon.
Then, a slight movement in the distance caught her eye, and she instantly darted the rest of her vision in its way, almost animal-like. Her cat-like horns sensed another presence coming this way, and she knew better not to hide anymore. That was the last thing on her to-do list for today. She paced forward a few steps, and made no sound, even in this largely echo-prone breadth. She held her breath a few seconds, and watched the other body walk towards where she stood. It looked like a man, probably in his early twenties. He had blonde hair, but it seemed damp, like the rest of what he was wearing. Had he dived into the strange abyss as well?
Only one way to find out...Naturally. She hated that cliché, but it was only used ever so often because it was, in fact, true to think. She instead stopped walking and lowered her arms by her sides, staring into his eyes. Maybe he was harmless, and stuck in her same boat. But you always have to be on your guard in these types of situations. She would take no chances here. She forced her invisible vectors out of her back, and stretched them out as far as they would go, preparing for anything. One false move, and she'd instantly rip off his limbs, one by one.

Oh, immaculate, untouched day. Could you have known what was to become of you?
Would you have known that your radiating skies would be stolen of their saturation, that every essence and promise you assured was to be filched from your very fabrication? The ground was not safe, either; every strand of tall, mossy grass would bend beneath this barbaric conviction: a relentless and heavy path roughed through the breezing fields. How the very air seemed to scatter, creating worried winds, in frantic hopes to preserve its taintless state. The cloudless sun could not hide, and it sat with a warm anguish, nowhere to turn. The world was writhing with the realization of what now walked its surface.
Remorselessly, the disturbance ceased his untamed gait. There was an uncouth slickness, irradiating, to grope the peace in his surroundings. The agitation’s frame became deceitfully aglow in the incandescent afternoon, the light polishing his white-collared shirt and blanched trousers, allowing his figure to be frank and easily perceived from afar.
He turned his head in an elusive unbroken movement, looking over a shoulder to where he had advanced from. There, imposed a fiendish creation – a dark intimidation of youth, mirrored to the absolute: from his heavy and trespassing boots, to the lovely, unforgiving blade concealed to that of a walking cane. The vehemence-exuding being simpered with convulsions of the ticking violence that drove him so; and beneath the brim of that obscuring bowler, those blue eyes blazed with a brutality that the world was yet to realize. An elongated shadow trailed his reckless route with a clever irony – the dissolution and disarray of this being was anything but behind him. It was yet to come.
Time for the ultraviolence, O my brothers, horrorshow ultraviolence.

Luffy watched the sky's as he steered the ship away from more falling debris, from what now was a Castle. Luffy could tell that from the outline of a structure above the tower.
"Man, what am I supposed to do with this ship? Why am I avoiding all this falling debris!" Luffy thought to himself.
Then a voice echoed inside of his head telling him about a teleporter and the self-destruct sequence had begun and that the planet would soon be no more, along with the fact that he needed to get the energy stone from one of the other ships. Luffy looked back at the ship he had seen earlier.
"Oh so that's what it is?" Luffy slapped his fist into his hand in accomplishment, of figuring out what he had to do. The only other problem was that the other two needed to wake up because he wouldn't be able to do this on his own.
Luffy looked back at the other two who were still lying on the floor. He whipped his foot back aand lightly tapped each of them on the face trying to wake them up.
Nothing happened.

"Hey?"
Amaterasu was just about to face the mysterious being in the corridor, but he opened the door first. Out of cautiousness, she was about to lunge, but then she realized that she sensed no darkness around him; it was not a monster, nor her missing companion, but a boy wearing unusual, vibrant clothes. She studied him for a moment, sniffing the air around him. He had a good scent. Happily, she wagged her tail, deciding that he was certainly a friend.
Cocking her head to the side, she tried to think of a way to get him to understand her...but unless he could read minds, which was unlikely, as he looked normal enough. All she could do was follow his lead for now, and try to help.
The boy spoke to her, and she barked sadly to show that she could not speak.

"Ughh......"Ulquiorra grumbled. The wolf's spiritual pressure was high, but he thought it was still weak. Quickly thinking, he pulled outhis sword and cut the beast, only to have his sword clang harmlessly off. "What the hell?!" This was no ordinary wolf. It had the skin of the Nemean Lion, the fire resistance of the Zanpakuto Volcanica. It was outrageous and appalling to think a beast like that could exist! Ulquiorra then pointed at it and used a Cero. The green beam of raw spiritual energy shot out like a slow cannon, and hit the beast head on. Smoke emerged then cleared. The beast was only charred, but otherwise unharmed. "It is resistant to energetical attacks....Let me try some physical." Ulquiorra thought. Using Soinido, he went behind the beast, leaving an aferimage where he once stood, confusig the wolf. The wolf jumped for the one behind it, biting straight through Ulquiorra's Iron Skin. But Ulquiorra wouldn't show pain. He wouldn't let the thing no he had hurt him. He had the afterimage, the solid afterimage, run behind the wolf, and grab its neck. "Snap!" The beast fell to the ground, it's jaws uncleanching around Ulquiorra's arm, it's neck broken. "What to do now?" Ulquiorra thought. A message went through his mind. "Find the power core in the center of the forest." "Whatever." Ulquiorra said outloud.
"When you die, Death rules you. But when you live, you rule Death."

Maka stepped back as a flow of bubble emerged from ruble below and gasped. The bubbles exploded in all different colors and then a girl appeared. Maka was confused and yelled. "Who the hell are you?" Soul had been analyzing the conflict and snapped. "Maka, the hippo and the eagle are that girl, she transformed or something." Maka gasped. She looked up at the girl, flowing hair, smiling, acting as if this were all a game. "I will repeat myself: Who the hell are you?" Without waiting another second Soul and Maka contemplated their next move. "Maka we need to get to the next tower and grab the power core before this creature has a chance to." Maka nodded slowly in her head. Soul looked around. There was a small flaglike pole that would take them to the next tower and immediately Soul nudged her. Without waiting a split second for her response Maka jumped onto the flag pole like a diving board and went flying though a window into the tallest tower.
Looking back she burst out laughing. "Missed me, missed me, now you wanna kiss me." And then she took off running up the long stairs to the core. She zoomed passed long torches and shields and swords. These stairs were taking forever though, there was no way she was going to reach the top soon, the tallest tower was indeed, a tall towering figure in the sky.

Delirium was delighted and took a deep pleasure in watching the surprise in the other girls face, and the trace of confusion. If there was one thing Delirium could recognize, it was confusion. Her opponent asked Delirium what her name was, yelling the question.
Delirium wouldn’t answer, not yet anyway, not until the girl in front of her was it. Delirium hates being the tagged one, because whenever she plays tag with human children she has to hide all the things she can do. People aren’t supposed to know! She can always make them forget, and she has on several occasions, but that doesn’t make brother happy at all ”NooOoO siRriEe, nOt aT AlL!” she thought.
She was about to open her mouth to be snide, taunting was an age old part of the game tag after all, even the kids she played with in ancient Greece used to do that! Before she had the time, however, the girl leaped and disappeared with her own taunting sentence. Delirium didn’t hesitate a single moment, she wanted to be the one taunting.
She quickly transformed again, ready to become an eagle once again, but she was too heated from the game. This time her version of an eagle didn’t just have ducks feet, but her beak was missing the upper part and dead snakes were coiled around her neck to form an obscure necklace. She didn’t have time to notice the faults in her transformation though, because she had wings and that was all she needed. She shot upwards, whirling up dust from the crumbled stones below her, and emerged over the top of the tower wall just in time to see the other girl disappear inside a window.
Delirium headed straight through the window above that one, hoping she would appear in front of the other girl, then transformed back into her original form, only this time her hair was short, spiky and untidy. She was surprised to hear footsteps further up the stairways, and when she realized that her adversary was further up she immediately started running upwards.
Delirium had been wrong earlier. This was a challenge, this was fun!
She opened her mouth wide and screamed as loud as she could, the playfulness of her tone was unmistakable.

It was some time now. For him it felt like yesterday but for the time it has been years. He began walking slowly until he came upon a pile of rubble. Looking in from a distance he found a stick that resembled a small cain for walking. He lifted his hand as if to reach out to it and made it lift up in the air. It started to move to him and graduatly landed in his hand. From there he walked a little better with it perched underneath his arm.
While he walked a creature poped out from behind a corner and began to charge him. He did not flinch but stared it down with no hesitation. It started to slow down but it did not grow quiet. Rather it started to screech and then suddenly layed down. The little man started to continue to walk as he taped into the force around him. His little green ears twitched as he listened and waited for some sound to come to him. Could that be him? It is so strong. he thought as he started to walk down a corridor. He could feel the presence of a padawan close by. One that he held very dear to him.
As he continued to walk another presence in the force started to reveil itself to him. Another was close by him. He could not tell who but he knew that it was very familiar. This sensation of a long lost friend started to pour over him to a point that he misplace the knowlege that there were four, possibly five, others around but he could not be shure. He knew that there was a task to be done. The force was leting insight on the troubles that were to be ahead of him and possibly his friends. He rounded a corner to find a walkway with two other people on the other side. Finally he thought as he started to walk their way.

"REaDY oR NoT hERe I CoME!"
Maka was caught off guard as she heard the horrible taunt. She almost lost her footing. The voice was just a little behind her and she needed to act quickly. She grabbed Soul and sliced through the walls and floor, weakening it as she went. Jumping into the air she chopped the wooden rafters to the ground and kicked over a torch, making a fire block the path behind her. She smiled and ran even faster, pushing herself until she was sweating. Finally she reached the top and went slamming into the side of the railing. Maka smirked and shouted back at the tunnel. "You have nothing on this!" Maka waited in anticipation looking around for the power core, she couldn't find it, however and decided to look higher up. She climbed onto the roof of the tower and saw a floating blue circle at the tip of the roof. She shimmied her way up the roof and looked down. Almost puking she choked back tears. She was so far up, in fact that if she fell there was no chance of surviving.
She pushed her hair back and held onto Soul tightly. "I'm a little terrified of heights Soul." Soul nodded. "Maka, you can do this, just keep your eyes on the prize, stay cool." Maka gulped and inched forward up the spire rising into the air. She was reaching her hand out to grab it, when the fire roared to life below and caused the tower to shake. She nearly lost her footing and grabbed onto the roof with all the strength she had left. "Soul, I'm gonna fall, I'm gonna die." She swallowed, gulping as she pushed herself forward and swung back onto the roof. All the damage she had done to the stairway was making the tower shake furiously. There was no doubt that it would collapse under more pressure. "Come and get me!" she shouted grabbing for the core.
Confusion held his tongue as the woman who had advanced towards where he had fallen transfigured into eagle-duck. Whatever muscle control he had flew the coop when that eagle-duck was replaced with a falling hippopotamus.
It seems my captivity will be far more entertaining this time around.
Feeling returned to his legs and he slowly made his way towards the structure that was sure to collapse from the damage dealt by the misplaced animal above. In the distance, an edifice, much larger than the ones in the surrounding area, loomed over everything.
Could you be a little more obvious?
His shoes left the ground as his telekinesis took affect and pulled him through the air that separated him from the ominous monolith.

The dank, leather flesh of her clothes and hair, obsidian twines snarled together in a starchy pulp, were rooted to Rogue's pasty, soiled body after her blind promenade. Thoughts and anticipations had run out, but the conscience of her mind couldn’t help but embrace the percussion of applause before asking for bravo. Soon, she would invent new thoughts. Trees convened in pedantic precision, divided up like the ridges of an enormous slab of chocolate or a queue of devoted, military personnel. Were they not in a scatterbrained stew just a second ago? Rogue's lack of food had everything bent out of shape – either that or something was terribly wrong.
A defined shriek like a needle whittling her ears had locked her feet to the dirt floor. As if that hadn't been disincentive enough. She screened over the bosky frontier, a comatose, godforsaken mise en scène. Rogue flattered herself with improbabilities, telling herself that nothing could possibly happen, and not being entirely won over. Something had chilled Rogue to the bone though still managed to boil her blood. She would soon melt to her sacred spot.
Everything deluged into the scene at once. They were light; they were molten, and all together they were washed out in a blackened grunge. Spirits. Their calloused hands whisked in every direction with voices shouting and reaching out to grab her for the privilege of ripping the skin off her body. The homesteads of the forest now vanished all around her. Rogue pulled herself to the south for a short-lived second, rounding into a steep slope. These jungle spectrums plugged her eyes with a nameless terror, like a spider web sewing her eyes shut. They fell into her. They stopped her, and they forced her running up to an overhanging crag. The spirits staggered their way between her legs, thrusting bouts of wind into her body. It felt as though the ground was crumbling down, as was Rogue. She dropped to the ground knees first, as though about to pray for repentance before she choked on the tails of these phantoms. Such an attempt was all but fruitless—truly bald except for a wig of effort to hide her misfortune.
“Stop! Leave me alone!” Silence. Perhaps even less, for this rupture of dimensions had come to an abrupt cease fire. Rogue's eyes of burnt khaki, ocher pincers piercing into the space, took everything in at once. Overwhelmed, Rogue buckled into herself like the whelked shell of a sea-mollusk. She cried. Every single emotion, every single thought now coursed down the corners of her eyes.
“...get out of here together...” Together? What was this strange resonance, this soprano voice that dismembered her emotions from her sleeve? It was a capella in this naught of a place. Rogue jumped to her feet.
Together with who? I want... to be....
“Excuse me! Hello?”

She swallowed, gulping as she pushed herself forward and swung back onto the roof. All the damage she had done to the stairway was making the tower shake furiously. There was no doubt that it would collapse under more pressure. "Come and get me!" she shouted grabbing for the core.
Delirium sprinted up the staircase as rapidly as she could, listening desperately for the sound of footsteps. Suddenly the ground below her gave under and started to collapse. She fell through but barely managed to grab the ledge behind her.
”gOsh, sHe tAkEs tAg mOrE sEriOus thAn I dO!” she said to herself, then transformed instead of pulling her up. Her hand shrunk in width but grew in length as small, black hairs sprouted out of it, then out from the hole she was hanging from came three more legs of the same shape, followed by a round, hairy body and four more legs. Where the fangs and eyes on a gigantic spider normally would be, there was instead a snakes head, hissing violently.
In her newly, and absurdly formed shape she crawled up the staircase with ease, and faster than anyone would have guessed. Her sticky legs stuck to the walls and roof, which made the need for a floor or all walls completely unnecessary. All she needed was a single flat surface.
Her steadily rising excitement came to a stop as she crawled straight into a wall of fire, every surface of the staircase was burning with intense heat and before her mind could even register the flames, the monstrosity she now was started to burn. She screamed, or as it came out, hissed violently as the hair on her body was burnt up, but after a few seconds of intense pain it disappeared as quickly as it came.
In a gorgeous explosion of flame she turned into another form with wings, but this time she was a phoenix. An ancient creature that was a myth in some universes and real in others, and Delirium had met several of them. The flames were no hinder to her now and she flew up the rest of the staircase in a matter of seconds, then she emerged on top of the tower.
Delirium arrived just in time to see the other girl reaching out for something blue, but that didn’t matter much to her. Someone was about to get tagged, ”aNd iT’s noT mE!” she thought, then her phoenix form imploded and out from it burst a large wolf with glistening, sharp fangs. The front half was all wolf, the back part resembled a lynx.
Without hesitation she ran towards the girl and leaped in the air, heading straight for her. Delirium's fangs were bared and her claws sharp.

Peter had been about to try some physical attacks when he saw the beast was not affected but his powerful fire attack. But he was forced to watch as the boy showed his skill, a large, green electrical beam burst from the boy’s hand and ripped into the beast, although the beam did nothing. Peter was then about to move forward and help, when his ally burst into two and proceeded to break the wolf’s massive neck. Impressive thought Peter as he watched the creative display. He was just about to congratulate his team mate, when suddenly a thought not his own, swished through his mind. "Find the power core in the center of the forest." From the look on the boy’s face, he could tell that he heard it too.l
“Wait here” Peter said as he flew quickly up into the air to see where they were in aspect to the rest of the forest. The air was crisp and cold where he flew, but it didn’t bother him in the slightest. Looking down upon the massive forest below him, full of creeping vines and gigantic trees, he could that they were on the very edge of the forest. I wonder...Peter flew quickly down towards the centre of a clearing only to be thrown backwards next to his team mate again. “Ouch....” He groaned as he sat upwards, “Ok...looks like we’ll have to walk and its pretty far...” He said as he jumped up and started to forge a path through the forest, and where there wasn’t one, he made one with his fire.
After a few minutes of blasting through parts of the forest, Peter could swear he heard growling coming from his right. He slowly turned to the boy who had been following behind him. “I think that wolf had friends....” Peter murmured in a voice barely louder than a whisper. But it was too late, as another massive wolf 5 times larger than the first burst from the forest. “Oh damn it...” Peter swore as the beast smashed into him and ploughed him into a tree.
Enhanced hearing really comes in handy when you don't know where your destination. Girlish squeaks and a confident, masculine drone reached outward toward the flying man's eardrums. When the word "prize" was uttered, adrenaline coursed through his veins and his heartbeat boosted.
Fee, fie, foe, fum, here I come to spoil the fun!
Altitude was his enemy as he rose to the top of the tower; his eardrums popped several times in their heightened state. As the rim came closer and closer, the slower he rose.
I'm obviously not alone, so I probably don't want to be too close.
He rose above the tower and the scene before him raised a small chuckle. A young female was cowering, probably due to heights, and a green spire extended upward and poked the sky above them.
"Should I assume," he called out, "that the object you seek is somehow important to you?"

“...Why is it that I always end up in the most strangest locations?”
It was yet another foreign location that Johnny manage to find himself in, a gloomy undersea city, Laputa... or what it used to be called. He squeezed himself on a rock above the murky, cold water, with most of his weapons at his side, a 45. handgun, a RPG-7 rocket launcher and a sub-machine gun. He took one glance at them, and let out a huge sigh. He had no ammo at all, rendering all of his weapons useless and he began to question himself.
How would he defend himself? The only chance of survival is this; one rocket for the RPG-7. 'I cannot survive with this” Johnny thought, wishing for help... from anyone willing to give out an hand. But it was inevitable. He is alone with nothing around him.
“Neeeeee” was the sound of a whale, serene and calming. Almost as if of any fear swirling inside him has suddenly evaporated, leaving emptiness. And his mind clicked, Johnny unexpectedly gained powerful determination and willpower. “I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP!” Johnny screamed at the top of his lungs, showing the unknown that he is not going to back down.
He shot up from his rock, up straight and ready to face on ahead, clutching onto his only chance of survival, an RPG-7.

"We don't have to walk. Garganta!" The space in front of the opened like floorboards, only to be slammed shut. Ulquiorra quickly opened three more portals, and they were slammed shut just as qucikly. "This forest is toying with us...." No sooner had he said that then the gigantic wolf burst through the forest, and slammed through his new found team mate. "I can't fight that thing yet...." Ulquiorra quickly opened a Garganta in front of it, and the wolf, instead of hitting Peter again, was sent halfway into the Garganta. As with the others, it slammed shut. But it couldn't close. It was like a door. It slammed into the wolf, and it howled in pain. "We don't have much time..The Garganta will eventually vanish, but not with the wolf." Ulquiorra grabbed Peter, and put his hand out behind him and said, "Cero!" The green beam once again emitted, bot not for attacking. This one was for transportation. The energy was so powerful, Ulquiorra and Peter skyrocketed foward, blasting through the trees. Ulquiorra moved his hand the oppostite direction so he could avoid trees. "I never caught your name....I am Ulquiorra, the Foruth Espada and Arrancar. You are?" Ulquiorra said, as they blasted through the trees, the green Cero behind them tearing through the air and ground.
"Death is natural to all, but nature is all to death."

As the animal fell to the floor Black Wargraymon watched it fall. It vanished in mid way going down to the floor. "What the." He turned back and saw it right in front of him with two more. "How did that do that?" He questioned as he looked back down all three began to jump on him, biting his armor. "Huh that's steel, your teeth wont hurt it!" He said as he laugh at they're failure to understand.
Black Wargraymon jumped once more and spied. "Black tornado!" He said as he spin faster sending the spider monkey looking creates away. "Huh wonder how those were made." He thought to himself as he soon reached the top of the tree. "Wow... this place looks a lot like the digital world well with out the other digimon."
He said as he saw some trees falling down. "What's that? Trees falling by them selves that's not right." He said to himself as he looked closer and caught a glimpse of Ulquiorra. "It's that person I meet on the abandon ships." He said as he continued to watched as behind him was over fifty spider monkey looking creatures watching him.
Black Wargraymon turned around and saw them looking at him. "I don't think I could kill them..." He thought to himself as they all ruched to him. "Dragon fire!" He said as he rose his left claw and blue fire came out sending ten of the creatures away then the left claw came fallowed by a red flame sending another ten creatures away from him.

As Ulquiorra was flying across the ground, he sensed someone looking at him. It was a familiar Spiritual Pressure. That Black WarGreymon from the ships! He was here too?"Impossible!"Everyone he sided with was here. It was odd, but Ulquiorra could deal with it. But he couldn't stop now. He didn't have time . He didn't know why he didn't have time, but he felt he needed to get to that power core fast. He increased the power of his Cero, and sweat started to pour. The strain on his body was immense. He was almost out of energy. "No....Not yet." Ulquiorra zoomed through the forest. He was alomst ut of energy. "Gotta make it....A few more...Miles...." Ulquiorra poured all of his energy into the Cero, and him and Peter flew at the speed of Light towards the center of the forest. After about 3 miles, Ulquiorra let go of Peter and collapsed.

Black Wargraymon notice that Ulquiorra was rushing to some were. "Wonder where he's going." He thought to himself as he clawed away another ten of those odd creatures and jumped down to the floor. "Black tornado!" He yelled out as he gained speed half way down.
He got about a few inches before he touched the ground and once more he yelled out. "Black tornado!" As he fallowed the other black tornado. He caught more than enough speed that every thing he touched got cut in to pieces. "Huh what that feeling it's like a strong power some were here." He said as he continued going passed trees and stones.

Ulquiorra was exhausted. He had pushed his power beyond the limit. He had used to much power. He was going to be dead if he couldn't move. He tried to move his finger. No response. He tried to move his hand. No response. Ulquiorra went through every limb being tried to move, and had no response. "Lord Aizen. Forgive me."He blinked, and his eye shattered, on thought. How he did it was not of the essence. It was what he did that was important. Smoke surrounded him, and the illusion took place. In the illusion, Ulquiorra seperated his body and soul. His soul grabbed the zanpakuto on his body, and unsheathed it. The soul returned to the body, and the sword appeared in his hand. "Bind Them...Murcielago." Ulquiorra muttered. As if that breath was his last. The energy surrounded him, and Ulquiorra transformed. His Hollow Helmet was larger, moved to both sides of his head. Black wings unfurled at his back. His sword was gone, but he replaced it with energy. Ulquiorra got up, and began charging his normal spiritual pressure, so he could return to normal. "Espada over 5 shouldn't release their zanpakuto without permission."

The wolf looked at him puzzlingly and let out a bark. He knew then that it didn't speak. Neku knew that this would be a problem but he also knew something else. This was just like the UG. Make friends or make enemies. And frankly, Neku needed friends in this strange new world. Then it hit Neku. He had remembered the UG and all his adventures and thought of his Player Pin.
"Maybe...."
He stuck his hands inside his pockets and fished around for his pins. He felt them hit against each-other and he quickly grabbed them out. They were still the same pins he had. His favorites as well. But in the cornucopia of metal and lint there was no Player Pin. He sighed deeply and placed them back into his pocket. He looked down at the wolf and stared deeply into it's dark eyes. It looked straight back at him and for a second he felt a connection between them.
"A pact?"
It was just like the feeling he had when he first met Shiki, Beat, and Joshua. The same spark of electricity and connection of minds. He know knew that they were partners. But he felt an emptiness inside of him. As though someone was still missing he knew he had to go find them. He looked at the wolf again and motioned down the hall.
"Let's go we need to find a way out of here."
He began to walk down the hall and quickly the wolf followed him. The hum of an approaching motor grew louder and louder. As they kept walking the hum soon became a roar and he knew that they must be on-top of the engine. He placed his ear-phone over his ears to muffle the noise. But still the moise persisted.
"What kind of machine is this... Is it a plane?"
As they continued walking the roar grew smaller and smaller as though the monster that was the ship was growing tired of it's tantrum. He removed his earphones and looked down at the wolf.
"Don't worry. And exit can't be far."
The wolf looked up at him happily. It trusted him immensely. He looked back forward and like someone had heard him he saw light up ahead. His face exploded with glee and he looked back down at the wolf.
"Come on!"
The wolf barked in agree and sprinted off. Neku ran after it trying to keep up with it. He was able to catch up before they burst through the open doorway into the blinding light of the cockpit.

Good things come to those who wait...
Nothing had led Lulu into accrediting such a statement. The tree bark was intransigent, prodding into her spinal cord. There was no movement from the woman. She was wholly still - as still as the timber she'd rested her weight upon. How much more waiting was needed, she wondered.
The heavily-clothed woman retained her alleviating composure. She felt deluged within the masquerade of ample, obscuring tree trunks, though it was not exposed. There was much that could not have been surmised of her through a mere glance. In the embrace of sheer disaster, one could not let such mental influences interfere with the main objective, she though. Perhaps, distractions?
Hm?
Lulu's esoteric chain of abstruse contemplation dissolved in a flurry of transgressing thought. A voice. It was receptive, yet authoritative. Bluntly, unfamiliar. Her body remained immobile, though her eyes did not. Her dark, demanding eyes swung past the discouraging trees, and fixed on the host.
A brassy maiden garbed in dense mail. Her golden locks galloped with the wind. She was boldly beautiful.
"Very well," the Mage finally spoke, before finally guiding her body back to its natural balance.

Disregarding the comment from the mysterious man, Maka rolled out of the way from the wolf creature as it slammed into the roof beside her, weakening it. Her hand closed around the core as the roof gave way and tumbled into the ground below. She felt a heavy boulder right on her torso and rolled over coughing. "Got it fools!" She cursed, sitting up, covered in dark soot. Rolling over she pushed herself off the ground. "This object is what I need to get the hell out of this place." She jumped into the air, above the railing of the tower and braced herself for impact. Her feet slammed into the side of the building, allowing her to slide down the side. She brought Soul up behind her and sliced into the building, slowing her fall. Now she surfed her way to the bottom, avoiding jagged rocks and dangerous ruble. Soul was smirking as she slowed to a halt at the bottom of the tower. Maka turned to taunt, giggling on the inside. The core was safely tucked inside her pocket, glowing blue. She brought Soul up at the bottom and sliced into the building. The structure began to give way above. The fire had spread uoward into the upper reaches of the tower and now the bottom was cracking with the damage she had done to it.
"Great job Maka, this tower is going to be fun to watch burn." Maka kicked the tower and sent it tumbling down at the dark reaches of the garden. Every block and brick went slamming into the ground as it fell. "Don't mess with me!" Yelled Maka.

Hello Participants the Judge of Wisdom is here to spread a little information. Let me freeze the battles with a little spell and borrow your ears. The city in which you currently reside is the home to many robotic war machines, which under our watch escaped. You must now be informed that the city is rapidly falling apart and you have a merely 2 days to get to the teleportation pads (with the power cores and escape). If you have not found your team mates at this time, please warn them, for many will be killed if you fail.

Peter felt himself fall onto the ground for the second time that day. “Ouch...” He groaned again as he slowly lifted himself of the ground and looked around. It seemed that the boy, what was his name? Ulquiorra. Had flew them towards the centre of the forest with a powerful attack. But judging from Peter’s calculations they were still at least 10 miles from the centre. Where they would find the powercore and hopefully get out of this godforsaken place. Peter turned his head and spotted Ulquiorra changing into something else. “Hey what are you doing...” Peter asked, however he suddenly felt something stir deep within him, he could feel the need to paint the future come out of his powers and into his brain. Suddenly his eyes turned pure white and he seemed to be possessed.
Peter quickly walked over to a tree and ripped off some bark he then, crushed up some rocks with his immense strength, creating some rubble on the ground, which then spat upon. He then sat down and with his eyes still pure white he started painting with his finger a picture with the spit paints. After 5 minutes Peter came out of his trance and started at the prophetic picture that was in front of him. “Oh damn...” He swore. He had painted him and Ulquiorra in the forest where they were now, however surrounding them were five gigantic wolves. The most important thing in the picture however was the moon that was painted at its zenith. Peter started up at the sky, which was dark as the ground beneath them, however the moon was about a few minutes away from reaching the middle of the sky. Standing up, Peter turned to his new team mate. “We should prepare for a fight...” he said pointing at the picture. “I can paint the future and this is about to happen.....” Peter’s words were then back up, by five great howls that came from around them. “Damn,..” Peter exclaimed.
Walking underwater was definitely a challenge, but nonetheless a really educative experience even for a Jedi Master like him. By channeling the Force to use a tiny bit of the lake water's weight and push him down, he was able to stick his footing and walk like normal, except for of course the usual water resistance that made everything slow and awkward. If he needed to move fast like on land though, or even faster than any creature, he could do it.
At a price. Luke grimaced and smiled at the same time of the Force's impossible balance. He looked into his hands and recalled how he once struggled to lift a few rocks. Now?
"You better come out now, you might be stealthy, but not Force-eluding. And not stupid either, I believe." Casually he broke three pillars of their grounds and hovered them over his target, but in his mind he's as tense as a hunted prey.

While the tower was crumbling beneath her feet, Delirium transformed back to her original form and looked up at the man she had spoken to before, forming her question around the words that the other girl had said before jumping.
”ErrRr, wHaT diD sHe mEan aBoUt thAt ‘gEt ouT tHinG’? dOes tHa…” she broke off mid sentence as the roof directly below her gave away, forcing her to stumble backwards and fall down on the last remaining part of the roof.
UHm, aS I waS sAyIng, dOes thAt MeAn wE nEeD it toO?
As the last piece of the roof loosened and fell she transformed into a hawk, only with her original face instead of a hawks. The appearance looked unreal, as if someone had done a bad animating job on one of the TV channels all the humans used to watch, but it was as real as it could get. She flew up, and with one last look at the man she said ”LeT’s gEt iT!” then started to dive frightfully fast, and it wasn’t long before she had the other girl in her sight again
You really know how to treat a guy.
Calculations ran through his head, as well as flavors of bubble gum, and a hasty decision was made. He simply let go.
At first, his body tilted. Whether it was blood or an abundance of abilities that caused him to plummet head-first seemed irrelevant to him at the time - all he knew was that he was falling, and it excited him.
Seconds before he hit the ground, his arm extended and a stream of ice collected itself from the moisture in the air, and devised a sharp slope, extending forward towards the fleeing adolescent. The landing was painful; bits of skin tore away from his face and stuck to the ice he slid upon.
After skidding to a halt, he pounded the ground with both of his fists and the ground froze. The ice shot out towards the girl with the supposed item that would be rather helpful. If he could just hit her feet, her legs would soon follow and she would not be able to move.
After all, it's much easier to take things away from someone when they can't fight back.

Maka gasped as a wave of icy tundra shot after her. She moved to roll but put her arm in harms way, feeling the icicles form on it. Soul shouted at her to move and she took off into the bushes surrounding the area. She ducked down out of site hoping to hide. "Finally some action." She grabbed Soul's edge and jabbed at the ice weakening it and then tensed her muscles. Pulling off shades of ice so that she could use it. Soul looked down at it and sighed. "Maka you need to be more careful about our attacks." Before he could finish however, Maka had jumped up from behind the bushes and shouted at Soul in unison. "Soul Resonance/Tamashii Kyoumei" and a huge wave of power surged through her and into Soul. She swept him backwards and brought him up again, this time he exploded with power and grew in size. Maka jumped into the air, flying forward at the dangerous man and brought the scythe swiping forward, aiming to slam it into the man. "Witch Hunter!" A fiery blast of power swept around him. "Hit him, c'mon" she thought to herself.
A direct confrontation with the approaching force would not be very beneficial to his plans.
However....
An old nagging desire broke the surface and altered his train of thought. Anecdotes had come to his attention several months back pertaining to the ability that he had acquired from his niece - or, at least, he thought she was his niece at the time - that he never tested himself. Fairy tales of little Claire cutting off a toe and it's alleged regeneration.
Reality came back with the force of a fart. Dodging would not be enough to escape from his current predicament spot-free.
I guess it's time I find out for myself.
The edge of the scythe came closer and the man quickly squatted down and jumped up at an angle, leaving his left arm and leg in the path of the scythe.
The pain was excruciating. The severity of the wound was not anticipated. His intentions were humble: the loss of a hand and a foot, possible further up the leg depending on the angle of the strike, paled in insignificance in the long run. The reality was that his left arm was missing and that his left leg ended at the knee.
Searing pain racked his body as he fell in a pathetic, crumpled heap. Blood sprayed the grass from the two stumps where an arm and the other half of a leg had leased a comfortable summer house. His vision dimmed and an anguished, guttural roar escaped his throat, sending the nearby birds into a tizzy.
Oxygen escaped his lungs in short, hurried bursts.
"Perhaps," he uttered, hoping that he was loud enough for his foe to hear, "my captors are being kind."
With eyelids that weighed more than a brick, and a crippled body that was rapidly losing precious blood, unconsciousness blanketed his body and he rejoiced.
***
Blood stopped flowing as if someone had kinked a garden hose. The tissues surrounding the two lacerations changed to a light pink. Skin was growing. Muscles and tendons were growing. Bone was regenerating. The process took three minutes and several times the lifeless body shuddered as spasms sent tremors throughout.
His eyelids fluttered and exposed two bloodshot eyes. The newly regenerated limbs were unbearably stiff, but he endured the agony of bending his left arm and pushing his body onto its feet. His gaze fell to his fresh limb, then rose to his enemy.
"It would seem that I was mistaken. I hope you enjoyed staining my clothes."
After filling his lungs and taking careful aim, he let out a tremendous roar. Sound waves rose and lowered rapidly in pitch, above and below the human spectrum. The force of his roar would have sent a cow flying at least fifty meters.

Delirium was watching the girl and the man battle from afar. She was starting to think this wasn’t a game of tag anyway, which really was a shame! She had enjoyed it as long as it lasted though, and now she had a new target, and that was the blue thing.
”ThIngY, tHingY, lOokIn' bLue, I aM cOmiNg tO gEt yOu!"
She laughed gleefully at her own rhyme, and then started to think of a way to proceed, still keeping her distance, circling around and watching the fight with her sharp hawk eyes. Thinking for Delirium didn’t always come easy, and focusing was difficult. After all, how can you focus on one strain of thought when there are millions of others trying to take its place? In Delirium’s eyes however, this was a game, and she loved winning them. Tag, hide and seek, “take the blue thing”… It didn’t matter, winning was just as satisfying either way.
The man eventually got wounded pretty badly, to Delirium’s annoyance (she needed someone or something to keep the girl busy, after all), but luckily he were able to remove the effects of the serious wound somehow. With a scream he unleashed a shock wave, and that’s when Delirium saw her chance.
Delirium created a flock of ravens out of thin air. Hundreds appeared around her and flapped their wings in unison while they made their ugly raven sounds. They were noisy, she liked that. She never had any problems creating perfect ravens with no disabilities, because whenever she was in her brother’s realm she spent much time speaking to his raven friends. All of them had understood her better than most.
In her hawk form the delirious girl placed herself in the middle of the dark crowd and her hawk talons disappeared only to be replaced by two human hands, and then her feathers, beak and eyes turned as black as the ravens themselves. She intended to block the girls’ sight with the ravens while swooping in and grabbing the blue thing, and Delirium thought her plan was pretty good considering she just made it up. Usually she ended up thinking about these kinds of things for days, then forgetting about it completely.
She forced the ravens to flock towards her target. She didn’t care if the girl was struck by the shock wave or if she dodged, Delirium was determined to crowd around her and grab what she wanted either way.
”AnD aFteR wE’re dOne PlAyiNg I wAnT iCe cReam!”, she thought, but a second later the thought was gone and she forgot.

Luffy staggered after the time lapse had subsided.
"Robotic War Machines!" he yelled in shcok as this day was getting worse and worse. With the debris from the crumbling Floating Castle flling all around him and not to mention the planet crumbling on top of that AND the fact that the other two who were still lying unconciouss. Things were not going Luffy's way.
'I need to get that power core." Luffy looked back at the twwo lying on the floor. "Oh well, can't say that i didn't try!" Luffy steered the ship away from the massive piece of rock that had fell from the Castle. He began to sway left and looked for the other twoo ships he had seen.

What the...? What..?
Masaru seemed without any word. He found himself in... somewhere, not knowing where he was. With the sight in front of him still blurry, he tried to look around.
"Where am I?" He mumbled out.
"Boss!" Shouted someone into his ear. Masaru turned around and hit the yeller, who turned out to be Agumon.
"Oh... sorry?" Masaru tried to apologize, which really was not quite his thing. Instead, he stood up and looked around, now with sight clear. Is this some kind of... airship?
Next did not calm Masaru down. Airship started to shake. Don't tell me this thingy has autopilot, which switches off when someone wakes up! Masaru hurried through parts of Airship to get to the control room.
"Boss, wait!" Agumon shouted somewhere behind him but Masaru had no time - if the ship is going to fall, he will die. Who knows - maybe someone is on this ship!
Marcus (OOC: Switching to english version - Marcus) didn't need to go far because he saw in front of him someone, standing already and leading the ship.
"Who...?" Marcus started but did not finish. In front standing one said something about power core.
"Okay, as I presume, this is for our ship to stay alive!" Marcus said and left the room to look for object, which he had to find. "Boss?" Agumon asked as he saw Marcus running past him but Marcus didn't reply. Oh man, where have I got myself into this time?

Luffy steered the ship past more and more falling boulders that would very much damage the ship if they had collided, if anything was certin it was the fact that time was no longer on there side.
Luffy turned to the other two and to his surprise one was gone.
"What the hell, where did the other guy go?" Luffy looked around the cabin and saw nothing else except the gauges and and other machines to let him know the status of the ship.
"There has to be some kind of auto-pilot on this thing?" Luffy asked himself aloud as he was looking around. Finally he found a button with the auto-pilot label above it. "Ah there it is," luffy said smiling as he pushed the button, along with setting certain aspects of the auto-pilot to evasion to make sure he had the boulders covered, and walked out of the bridge area and began searching for the other guy that was laying on the floor. "Maybe with one more person we can get that second power core that we need!"
"OIH!!!! I'M ON YOUR SIDE!!!" Luffy yelled as his voice echoed throughout the hallway and he hoped throughout most of the ship.

Is he crazy or what?
Marcus almost fell down from man's shout, who was steering the airship.
"Yeah, thanks, man, I kind of understood that, when you were steering this airship. As I told you, I was going to get that power core." Marcus answered, normaly, not shouting.
"Boss, can we trust this guy?" Aguman had finally managed to catch up with Marcus.
"We can. By the way, the name's Marcus Daimon" Marcus stretched out his hand for a friendly handshake. I just wake up, meet some dude, already in action, was trying to do suicide, by jumping off to another airship to get power core. Now, THAT is great!
"I'm Agumon, pleased to meet ya!" Waved Agumon.

"WHOA!!!! you have a dinosaur?!" Luffy said with excitement running towards the kid and the dinosaur.
He immediately slid to a halt in front of the kid and the dinosaur and with a huge smile on his face he said.
"Hi, What's up? I'm Monkey D. Luffy!"
Luffy said with is hands behind his head and his smile still wide and covering his face. "So what do you think about steering this ship while I go grab the other power core?" Luffy asked, still smiling but at the same time he made no effort to make the question he was asking serious enough.
The ship swayed to the right almost making Luffy fall flat on his face. "ACHAHAHA!" Lufyy yelled in reaction clearly overreacting.

Yoda began to walk toward them as the voice boomed in his head. The water graduately rose around him with the force of the man's power plus his own. "More important it is, to leave this city together rather than to fight. Enemies draw near, they do" He said to the man as he aproached and averted his attention to the girl "Be afraid, you must not young one." The city began to crumble a bit around them as pillars broke and sunk deeper into the abiss below.
Time was running out for them. The city was collapsing and Yoda knew that the item must be found. Where though would be harder. If only a creature of the deep had seen it could lead them to it. Not many of them would communicate to him because of their stuborn mental blocks. It would take a team to get into one of the creatures heads. "Luke, help I need. Work together, we must in order to survive" He spoke again as he looked around in the water for a creature that could possibly know the way.

"Okay now for me to get to that other ship and get that damn core." Luffy though to himself as he watched from the small circular windows that surrounded to main corridor, so that he could get ready to board the ship.

Getting a curt response from the heavily-clad woman, Clare proceeded to seat herself onto the ground, after immersing her Claymore into the rough earth, leaning her weight against it. Then, another woman arrived, piercing the eerie silence. Slightly rotating her head to observe the newcomer, Clare said bluntly, "Sit." Not waiting for a response or for the action to be accomplished, the warrior commenced to take off her armor, then initiated to start a fire from the twigs and wood situated around her.
Once the fire had begun, Clare realized that she hadn't introduced herself to the others, nor them to her. "To get the formalities settled, my name's Clare, and I am a Claymore," she said. Quieting herself after this lacking introduction, she began to relax, shielding her eyes, and her mind, from the world around her. By the looks of this place, there seems to be no way to escape... I need to get back so I can protect Raki! Just then, Clare's Yoki felt an enormous expanse of power; much larger than most Awakened beings she had come into contact with! Peter nodded as Ulquiorra quickly took out the wolves. It was fast and effective, yet Peter knew that this was only the first wave of robotic wolves that would attack and soon more powerful wolves would appear. “We’ve got to go!” Peter exclaimed and suddenly something hit is mind, that hadn’t occurred before. “...and fast...” He then gabbed Ulquiorra, and turned around to face the direction they had been trekking through before. Suddenly Peter and Ulquiorra disappeared; well it seemed that way, when actually they were running at super speed. Peter kept up this speed easily, until he was five miles away from the centre, and it was about at this time that he ploughed into something hard and shiny.
“Ouch...’ He muttered as his super speed stopped and he fell over. He slowly looked up at what he had hit and swore loudly. It was a gigantic, massive, sliver robot that stood about 20 feet high above the ground. It growled at Peter and Ulquiorra, and slowly reached down a long, sliver arm, picked up Peter and threw him into a tree, breaking his neck. The robot laughed, a loud, rusty laugh, which then stopped as Peter stood up and his neck snapped back into place. “I love healing....” Peter muttered as he nodded at Ulquiorra and flew up to robotic head, high up in the sky. Lets see if you can heal... Peter thought as he summoned all his strength and punched the robot in the face, leaving a sizable dent, which then popped back into place in a matter of seconds. I hate irony... Peter then looked down at Ulquiorra, asking for some help.

I need to get back so I can protect Raki! Just then, Clare's Yoki felt an enormous expanse of power; much larger than most Awakened beings she had come into contact with! Her eyes shooting open, Clare informed the others: "There's something very powerful coming this way; it would be safe if we escapes this area as soon as possible."
"Sit."
Rogue's instinctive concern for herself was instantly quenched over those very words. The throttlehold so named her mind was now no more, however, just an empty membrane corrupted with noxious thoughts. She was ensnared in that trap, that web of vines.
Her contemptuous glare screened the surroundings: A cutthroat metropolis of a green population in endeavor to grow higher or consume the most nutrients. It would soon embrace sundown. This was the time of twilight that shared its dusky essence with the broken, dirt-faced boulevard it buried itself behind. Rogue's gaze froze parallel, catching the spectacle before it vanished and caused shadows to stretch like clay. And yet, nothing moved. Nothing roused in aggravation from the stir of the wind. Everything embodied a negative dimension where Rogue was the only discrepancy, inverted against all proportion and symmetry.
And then Rogue's lorgnette eyes, a poetic, thespian composition in two simple entities: a couplet, they examined closely her two new allies that perched in silence's invisible interface. One donned a streamlined flush of hair colored an onyx pigment that swept flirtatiously down her neck. She was dressed in oriental regalia that appeared much too voluminous for the delicate, petite frame of her body.
Beside her sat another woman with a similar cut, though a platinum, champagne color to match her minty, alabaster armor.
“My name's Claire, and I am a Claymore.” Her voice fluttered away like a far-off memory built on lacy lines.
Claire. She looks... nice....
Nonetheless, both women looked as though near nothing could penetrate their strong demeanors. They lingered in an iron-willed mindset, resolute to life's endless vim and vigor. They would now function as Rouge's counterbalance. Void of the solid resilience that they embodied, Rogue would surely perish.
“I am Rogue. Thank you for... having me...”
Once formalities had expired, Rogue couldn't help but wonder why they existed here and now as this trinity. Was there an astrological forecast sketching their every move? If only she had a structured libretto to predict the next scene of their so called lives. Or perhaps she needed an atlas of the skies that they could follow, a horoscope. Unfortunately, none of these things were in public domain, only available to the Gods above. What they had, however, were their instincts.
“I'm sorry, but before we decide on anything, I feel that there is something we must do.” Rogue predicted a certain skepticism drawn on their faces, “I personally have no idea how I got here. I believe that our assembly was ordained. Don't you feel this too?”

Ulquiorra nodded. He Soinido'd into the air, his spirtual pressure cracking the robot. The cracks eventually healed, but he had a plan. As fast as thought, he grabbed Peter and threw him at the robot. The robot opened its mouth to reveal blazing fire. "Lets hope this works..." Ulquiorra grabbed Peter, threw him out of the way, pointed hsi hand at the robot, and said," Bala." The speed of the Bala ws enough to cut through the fire, and Ulquiorra followed it through. The Bala and Ulquiorra landed inside of the robots mouth, where fire was being built up. The fire burned Ulquiorra, leaving 3rd degree burns everywhere. Drills for teeth also slashed their way into Ulquiorra, but he ignored that as well. He went to the eye of the man made storm, and built up energy around him, coating him in green Cero-like energy. He shot through like a cannon, blowing the robot's head open. It fell to the ground. As Ulquiorra got out, he noticed the robot repairing itself. "Come on...We don't have much time."

A dull, sinister sensation filled the vibrant sense of the mystical blue bomber, leaving his petite, solemn frame immobilized with darkness. His mind felt numb with fatigue, but a slight array of delicate, elegant hope radiated within his cranium. It was as if his forgotten memories were reacting with the current situation, beckoning the azure adolescent to rise for one more time. His everlasting fight would cease here, until one concluding, inaudible breath past his pastel lips.
This was MegaMan’s opening. This was his ultimate opportunity to end the horrific games that terrified the lands, and fulfill his distant promise.
A liberating, brilliant illumination slowly protruded into the warrior’s view, forcing the veil of supreme shadows that shrouded his weary gaze to disintegrate. A tender, gentle affection started to envelope his dedicated heart, bringing the sapphire being towards the active realm of the wicked games.
“Where am I?” the lighthearted, young tone of the forceful youth vibrated throughout the lush, sterilized landscape that served as the malevolent battlefield. “What happened?”
The vision of the perplexed combatant was twisted and distorted, defiling his view. He rubbed his blue armored hands against his attractive auburn eyes, almost completely fixing his exhausting predicament. However, to his surprise, the landforms that consumed his destined path struck him into a state of absolute astonishment.
The emerald hue that bordered him assaulted his sight, overwhelming his mind. The dirt inhabiting the land beneath his presence stained his once pure armor, making Geo Stelar somewhat filthy. A multitude of endless meadow and plants encircled his agile structure, limiting his mobility. Even with one effortless glance, MegaMan instantly knew he was no longer residing in the secure boundaries of Echo Ridge. He was far away from his diminutive home.
“You’re finally up, kid,” his extraterrestrial partner that was attached to his left forearm murmured as the youth gradually rose from the grimy earth. “Where are we?”
“I... I don’t know,” the baffled teenager retorted as the hint of bewilderment in his voice grew. “Weren’t we in Echo Ridge a few minutes ago?”
The experienced warrior hastily positioned his miniature hand against the substantial tree bark, steadying his faint posture. His dazzling eyes rapidly investigated the fertile scenery, searching for any signs of human life within its restrictions. Sadly, he did not see any individual near his current location.
His heart pulsated with stress, anxiety quickening his blood flow. A tense nerve of hesitation was beginning to form inside his young muscles. The Gods had stripped him of his admirable stature. Being the past champion of the first competition of tedious brawls meant nothing during these dire, violent times. But, worst of all, the Gaming Gods had confiscated his memories.
“What’s going on?!”

Ulquiorra had no time. The robot had recoverd to fast. It grabbed Ulquiorra, and flung him through three trees, where he finally slumped to the ground against a fourth. Tired, beat, and a few broken limbs, Ulquiorra couldn't do much of anything. He scanned the forest, and sent to mental messages to two different people. How he did it, he couldn't guess. Somehow, he was connected with them. One he knew was Peter...But the second was a newcomer. He knew it wasn't Black WarGreymon, he could sense that. Ulquiorra didn't know who he had sent his SOS to.

Lucy's vectors then drew into her backside and she let out the breath she'd been holding in for a while. Her eyes gazed over the short creature who had spoken out to her is a raspy, inverted voice. It was rather peculiar, but at least she knew the two were together, and seemingly harmless. She'd rather have people to accompany her in this situation, anyway.
"We need to find the core." She finally said, speaking in a low and strong tone, one she usually used when trying to sound more brash. She took a few steps backwards towards the map that was securly implanted into the corroding wall and traced the line in which the needst follow. "Somewhere under there." She added, using her sharp red eyes as a sign to show them where the core was - under water. With all the other eerie and unknown creatures that inhibited the world below the un-limpid surface. She then paced over to the edge of the murky black water and crouched down in a ball, sticking a finger in the water. It sent a slight shiver down her spine from the bitter cold tempurature. Retracting her pale finger, she examined it closely and saw no strange foreign spots or goo of any sort, so at least that was a check off her list.
Without looking back at the two, she stood up before the surface, and crossed her arms, squeezing her arms. "Are you two joining or not?" She called, her voice echoing louder than she expected in the decaying arena of cracked marble and ruins. There was only way to get out, and that was through this 'core' in which she'd learned of previously.

Abruptly, a mental barrage of language harassed MegaMan’s mind. An insignificant droplet of perspiration unhurriedly rolled down the side of his pale face, forcing the twinge of apprehension in his muscles to worsen. He promptly locked his stunning eyes closed, unable to blockade the peculiar signals that were developing inside his imagination. Somebody was calling upon his presence, demanding his existence to assist his fallen companion. He was somehow connected to his unidentified teammates.
“What was that,” MegaMan quickly jolted his head upwards, gazing upon the vacant terrain. “It sounded like somebody needed help.”
The indigo hero slowly took a step forward, leaning his battered frame to the side of the tree he had recently positioned his hand on. His eyes unexpectedly widened with bliss, but his delight soon wilted as he inspected the circumstances. Directly across from his current location, an abnormal, extraordinary man purely laid on the damaged stump of a deceased plant.
He had finally found somebody other than his electromagnetic partner, but the status of this anonymous life form made the boy recoil slightly. The vanquished warrior’s robust structure looked tattered and bruised, and he appeared to be in a condition of complete exhaustion. The mournful illustration of the shattered male began to revive the harvest of diverse emotions that resided within the radiant bomber. An innovative, memorable sensation started to overpower the mystified boy.
What is this feeling? It feels so familiar, but yet so distant.
“Hey, do you need any help?”

Ulquiorra looked at the odd boy. He stared quietly into the boy's eyes, then nodded. He had enough of his strength to point. The giant robot tore through trees, stomping on animals, advaning on Ulquiorra and the newcomer. Ulquiorra no longer had any strength left to retain conciousness. He slumped farther into the ground and his eyes closed. His last thought was, "Who is that boy?"
Luke flung the spear-like altars away and followed, although his hands never left his lightsaber, "I know. Let's do it." His Force sense was still tingling mad of danger, but there was nothing he could sense. Perhaps Master Yoda would have a better idea?
Master Yoda, or now, Luke would much prefer to stick the label 'Joker' to his neck. Twice now he has came out of nowhere and nearly scared the heart out of him... Luke squinted his eyes, a weird feeling overcame his calm meditation. Twice? But... This was the first time I saw him, and alive too! So why... am I not shocked? Why... twice?
All the sudden, a robotic three-pronged jaw made of titanium steel shot out of nowhere and instantly grabbed on to Luke. By pure instinct the Force flowed naturally to his aid and he held the constant 80000 Newton energy from crushing him instantly, and being young means that he could use the strongest Force power without fear of draining his strength too quickly, but...
"Guys - " Luke clenched his teeth as it began to shook uncontrollably, "Little -help - here - Can't reach - my weapon"

Black Wargraymon was still in his tornado attack. Trees were still falling behind him. "This energy I feel it growing stronger and stronger." He thought to himself as he continued going deeper in to the forest. Black Wargraymon felt negatived energy around him. It made him feel a bit more relaxed.
Black Wargraymon soon felt a present that felt as if it his own. "Huh what's that? It feels as if some one made out of data has entered this place." He stopped as he looked around and saw that Ulquiorra was talking to some boy. "That him. That's the data that I feel. He's quit stronger than he looks." He thought to himself as he watched from a distance.

Lulu examined the maiden warrior who settled among her. Her warm, vigorous presence kept Lulu at ease as she rested her eyes upon her. She held a strong, intimidating aura about her. A bond of trust struck Lulu; an instantaneous connection. She felt a mental relation to this woman - this Clare. Hadn't Lulu only been acquainted with her a mere moment ago, she would have seen her as a friend, rather than simply an ally.
The Mage's apprehensive surveillance of the remainder of the mossy environment discovered another form of life. The slender physique of a young brunette bewitched her gaze.
Rogue? Lulu could only deduct that from the name provided, the female had a history of criminal acts - a thief of some sort. What sparked Lulu's curiosity was simply the name. Of what nature would she steal? Could she be trusted? Her easy, collected eyes stated otherwise. Her garments blended in with the asphyxiating trees and bushes that surrounded the current trio, though her eccentrically-multicolored hair only fueled Lulu's curiosity. What a strange woman...
A sigh escaped her soft, magenta-hued lips.
“Our meeting is of no coincidence,” the Black Mage began, “though it is also of no true import.” A pause allowed her newly-discovered allies to let the statement gradually sink in. Finally, she continued. “Currently, our primary motive is to leave this forsaken forest alive. If we are to accomplish this, we must work together.” Lulu took one step forward, closer to the two women. “We should depart now, to avoid any unnecessary problems,” she suggested.
This was fate. She could feel a link - a bond - with these strangers. She could not seem to comprehend why, but her survival was of top priority. If she was to survive, she would need the help of these women. This was obviously of no mere accord. This was fate.
Her lips quivered for a moment, then rose as she prepared to speak.
“I’m Lulu.”

Peter had seen the robot throw Ulquiorra into the trees and of into the distance. Peter was worried, he had not seen this kind of strength since his battle so long ago, for some reason he couldn’t recall them now. He shrugged he had bigger problems now, the robot had repaired itself and was now barrelling after Ulquiorra. “Damn it...” Peter swore as he quickly flew down onto the ground and landed, the tree’s were too dense to fly through.
He quickly ran after the robot, which wasn’t hard to follow. It’s massive strides, destroyed trees and other beautiful wildlife in its path. What such destruction...what is the point? Peter asked himself as he ran after the massive metal beast. Soon he found where Ulquiorra was, he was knocked unconscious and lying on the ground, next to him was a young boy dressed in some bright blue armour of some kind. For some reason, Peter could sense the boy’s mind in his own mind, it seemed alien and weird to him, like there were two personalities held in the body. Peter quickly shook it from his mind and dashed up to them. “Hey...we have to move...the robot....” He was too late as the robot came around a corner and unleashed a giant blast of energy at Ulquiorra.
Without even thinking, Peter jumped into the blast and let it smash him into a tree. After a few seconds, peter pulled himself up the wound quickly healing with white new skin. “You ruined my favourite shirt...” Peter than made a glowing electrical, ball appeared in his hand. Before it disappeared he quickly threw it at the robot, hoping the blast would somehow disable the sliver beast at least long enough to get to the power core in the middle of the forest.

A sudden sense of definite awe struck the perplexed contestant. Without a hint of hesitation in his stern movements, the youth slowly took a lone pace back, walking in the opposite direction of the stampeding mechanical fiend. But something within his solemn heart would not let him finish his frightened proposal of action. If he were to leave his injured comrade in the center of a uncomplicated scuffle, his guilt would indeed corrupt his conscious.
If I leave that man behind, he’s going to die. I can’t just leave and never look back again.
“Hey, kid,” the celestial organism fastened to his left arm stated, “let’s give him the old double combo!”
The only event the young champion could do was agree with his partner. His tactical cranium was still too stupefied to conjure an enhanced strategy. MegaMan would just have to rely on mere animal force to conquer the metallic obstacle that dared to hinder his fate.
“One!”
In a minimal, vital movement, the blue bomber hurriedly released a thin piece of rigid plastic from the azure pack that was place upon his durable back. However, the artificial card was no ploy; this was the interior of his supreme offence. To battle the multiple electromagnetic forces that jeopardized the lives of the innocent society of Earth, the protector of the planet used these ‘Battle Cards’ to fight back.
The vibrant card shimmered intensely inside the virtuous hands of the young adolescent, reflecting the gleaming array of sunlight that miraculously glimmered on the forest floor. Then, the forceful teen inserted to card inside the jade tinted aura of his partner, Omega-Xis.
For a split instant in time, the extreme laws of reality were broken. A diminutive ball of data formed within the azure palms of the pure mortal, reacting to the eternal achieves hibernating inside the unyielding structure of the young male. Briefly, the spherical data began to materialize in the fresh, bizarre realm he was now fighting inside. The outline of the item hardened, becoming valid.
“Mini Boomer!”
Unexpectedly, the small boy had victoriously produced a dynamic, erratic bomb, and he swiftly heaved it at the machine that neared the two pawns. As soon as the frail sphere collided with the metal creature, a deafening sound vibrated throughout the forest, and a blaze of utter inferno enveloped the shell of the violent monster.
“Two!”
Once again, reality was shattered, allowing another blast to form in his righteous hands. MegaMan followed his last courageous deed, throwing a second bomb on the enormous beast. As soon as the two metallic surfaces converged again, another spark of sheer combustion ignited within the atmosphere, forcing the scorching flames to descend onto the giant.

Maka watched the man go down, then miraculously he got back up and stared at her blindly. Soul was panting with exhaustion, "Maka, we need to move, he's going to fight back eventually." Maka turned to run as a painful sound filled her ears. She fell to the floor, covering her ears. Making sure to keep Soul within grabbing distance she made her move. She felt her ear drums pounding as she jumped from her position, and ran up the remaining tower, flying into the air and down a large, steep hill. She was rolling rapidly, her arms and legs wobbling underneath the extreme wear and tear. She clenched Soul tightly as she came to a stop in a puddle of water. She spat water onto the ground as a flapping sound filled her ears. Soul nodded within her and jeered her to look up. Stretching herself out she was a barrage of angry birds flying at her. "Okay Soul, get ready." Soul nodded, sitting down at his piano inside her head.
Madness, extreme and tormenting madness. The hearts of both of them beat with the reverberating tendency of a violin. Maka was standing in the middle of a checkered floor. Soul hit a note on the piano and a red demon appeared on the piano. "Good Soul, play until the pain stops. Play until the birds go away." Maka approached Soul's piano and sat next to him. "I want to learn to play myself." She followed his quickening movements and they both played a ballad. The Demon jeered as they did, jigging to the tune as they caressed the keys of the piano. Maka was staring at Soul's red eyes as he played the unfamiliar tune. She was following his rhythm as best she could but she knew he was in his element. Soul got up from the piano and grabbed her hand. "Will you grace me with a dance." Maka nodded, placing her hand in his and waited while he glided her to the center of the checkered floor. The piano played on behind them, as if Soul was there and hadn't moved. Maka let him lead as they scurried across the floor, losing themselves to the music. A darkness plunged into Soul. Soul could feel himself slipping as Maka danced with him. A black ooze filled the room, slowing their feet and movements. "Maka, act while I can keep you under control. Filter the madness. Filter it!"
The black blood rumbled under her skin as she felt Soul's power flow into her. She gripped him tight. The air around her grew heavy and the rocks below shot into the air. All sound and movement around them slowed and Maka brought Soul up behind her to strike. "You will not take the core." The black blood rushed to her hands, supporting her movement. With a quick motion her scythe exploded with power and grew massive. She brought it up and sent a shock rippling through the air, outward and through the garden. Towers began to slide off their bases and to the ground. The ground around Maka imprinted itself further into the surface. A crater sank into the ground below her under the pressure of the force she was creating. Maka held it for just a second longer as the entire garden shook from the force and then she charged forward at the mass of birds, scythe behind her. At that exact moment she charged through the birds, swiping and aimed for the man past it. She brought her scythe down on him and hoped it would collide. "I don't care what kind of healer you are, you can't heal someone's soul. DEMON HUNTER." With all the might in her she slashed at him then turned her attention to the birds. She jumped up into the blackness and spun into a full circle sending extreme blasts of power flying into it. When she landed from her assault she felt her knees buckle and she fell to the ground, dropping Soul at her side. She fell sideways.
Her ears were bleeding to the point where the puddle she lay in turned stark red. Soul transformed back and threw her onto his shoulder. He carried her into the middle of some shrubbery maze, setting her down and ripping a piece of his shirt. He tied it around her head and then began walking again. "I won't let you die, Maka, I will find that portal." But Soul had his own inner struggle to deal with. The black ooze was overtaking him, all he had left above the blackness was his mouth, and with it her took his last breath, surrendering to the black blood. The madness overtaking him.

Luffy nodded his head and his smille went to a small grin and he put a thumb up to show he was ready. Luffy watched Marcus as he ran towards the main bridge and he could feel the ship shudder, reacting to the release of the autopilot.
"Okay now for me to get to that other ship and get that damn core." Luffy though to himself as he watched from the small circular windows that surrounded to main corridor, so that he could get ready to board the ship.
Marcus near him found microphone. Let's see if this microphone works! Luffy might be somewhere at other ending of this Airship. "Luffy, I am bringing this Airship as close as possible for you to get on board on other Airship!" Let's just hope this will work.
Marcus took the control wheel in both hands and now started to go closer to airship. It was little hard to do because of some rocks floating around and they might bump into Airship any moment. Dammit those rocks! if Thomas were here, he would know how to deal with them...

He mightily swam through, clutching his only weapon that can defend him. The murky water is chilly, sending unpleasantly cold shivers up his spine and is breathing heavily of cold breath. Yet he heard a voice… No, three voices. One of the voices hit Johnny instantly with thoughts of fear, a truly terrifying, raspy voice that set itself apart from the others.
He was shocked to see others besides himself, yet he wasn’t inclined to ask for their help. Moreover, he felt insecure and paranoid, clinging onto the remaining procedures and caution he remembered in his training. Trusting a stranger is not one of them, and is truly irresponsible to consider it. Johnny was left with the only course of action, sneaking and watching their move. After all, they might lead to a solution that could get him out of this foreign, mysterious and somewhat saddening sunken city.
Johnny gripped onto a rock with his left hand, pulling himself forth through the chilly water and slowed his breathing down, risking against the strangers without revealing himself.

Delirium watched closely and relentlessly at the girl as she jumped around. She watched every leap, every roll, and every drop of water splashing from the puddle. She watched as the girl came to a stop, and her frantic, wild mind forced the ravens to go even faster. Suddenly she noticed something she hadn’t before. The scythe wasn’t quite a scythe, at least, not only that. Also, they both appeared to be playing a piano.
Then they started dancing. ”I’m nOt tHE oNly oNe whO’s a LiTtlE ‘rOuNd thE bEnD, eHeehheHe…” Delirium thought, being distracted for a moment. Suddenly the girl gripped the scythe that wasn’t quite simply just a scythe, and amassed a great power. She shot forwards straight through Deliriums ‘barrage of black birds’, and attacked the man. Some of the ravens were disoriented but most of them were still able to act, and along with Delirium they turned around to chase the girl. She wasn’t done, however, and she leaped again and sent a blast towards Delirium and her ravens. Most of the birds burst and turned to bubbles as the blast first hit, and a few simply fell to the ground before disappearing. Delirium herself could feel the power and lost control of her own for a second, forcing her out of her twisted form.
As she fell to the ground she reverted to her original form, then she crashed into the soft earth below her and sunk a few feet into it. Dazed and delirious, she got up slowly and started zigzagging towards the place where the girl was lying on the ground. Through hazy eyes she could see something that looked like a person who was carrying the girl away into the bushes, but Delirium couldn’t quite make it out. She fell down on one knee and started to shake her head violently.
”gEt OuT, geT oUt, GET OUT!” she yelled to no one in particular, wanting her state of mind to return to the ‘normal abnormal’ state it usually was in. Then her sight cleared up and she was able to return her hunt for the blue thing, which during the last few minutes had turned into a fight for the blue thing.
”ThIs cAlLs foR a little PanT… uHm, LiOn… oR… UHm…” she stood still for a few seconds, lost in thought, then shrugged and started to transform. Her skin was quickly overcome by black spots, a slink, smooth tail started growing from her back and her hands and feet were changing as her entire form became one of the Pantherinae, a Jaguar. Her senses were sharpened to the point of perfection, she had been an innocent little girl and now she was a fearsome hunter. She didn’t notice the fact that her back was covered in hawk feathers, but it didn’t matter much either way.
Without another moment of hesitation she sprinted into the bushes and chased the obvious tracks. Broken twigs, the grooves in the soft ground, the scent of a male and a female… As the tracks became fresher she increased her speed and roared as high as she could, and within the roar was a familiar, playful tone speaking familiar, maddened words.

“Hey, kid,” the celestial organism fastened to his left arm stated, “let’s give him to old double combo!”
Peter’s attack had hit the beast, yet at the same time, his new young team mate had also initiated an attack, that would hopefully destroy the massive sliver, monster in front of them. Megaman’s two bombs smashed into the robot, creating gigantic flames, at the same time, Peter’s electrical bomb hit the flames and combined with them, creating a combustion reaction about half the size of the robot. This reaction had the desired effect that Peter and Megaman had hoped for, as the beast fell over and broke in half. Before anybody had time to recognize what had happened. Peter rushed over to the once powerful monster, they had terrorized them and started pulling it apart before it regenerated and came back together.
After a few minutes he was done, and he slowly walked back to Megaman and the now sleeping Ulquiorra. He looked down at his team mate and saw the scratches upon his body. Peter gently knelt now and felt Ulquiorra’s pulse. It was fine, yet it was obvious that some of his bones were broken.I wonder... Peter quickly felt in his pockets and thankfully found a syringe that he had left there when treating a patient back at home. He quickly stuck the syringe in his arm and filled it up with his blood from a vein. He then withdrew the syringe and stuck it into one of Ulquiorra’s veins, as he released the blood; his team mate slowly began to heal, until he was sleeping peacefully. Glancing back down at his arm, the puncture had already healed on Peter’s body. Standing up he addressed the boy in blue. “He should be fine now, I’m Peter and you are?” He asked

Shikamaru grimaced. He was nearly at the top, but his calculations were correct, there was only a few hour left until the city fell. He jumped on a cube, dodging another and pushed another away. He gasped for breath, but did not slow down. He hopped on one of the darker looking ones and took a minute's rest. He was worried that his teammates would not get the in time. Had he also made it harder for his team to reach the top?
He dismissed the thought and prepared to keep on his way when he felt the cube he was on vibrate. He jumped back, kunai drawn and watched in amazement as the cube slowly opened up and into a silver, robotic beast. The beast did not hesitate to attack and fire upon Shikamaru. Luckily a cube moved in front of Shikamaru and took the bullets.
Shikamaru was stunned for a second before he composed himself. He quickly crouched and began to think. He opened his eyes a few seconds before a cube smashed into his and he lost his balance. Falling, he tried for the edge of a cube and pulled himself forward. He looked up and saw the mechanical monster aiming his weapons at him, but also a lot of cubes moving around. That would protect him for the moment being.
Jumping, he avoided the dark cubes and got closer to the beast wit h each jump. He barely dodged another cube and pulled out a kunai with and explosive tag. The beast had seen him ans was preparing to fire, but a cube went a it, knocking it off. Shikamaru stared before replacing his kunai back into it pouch and continued on his way.
That was anti-climatic.....
Shikamaru looked up and noticed he was a few cubes away from the top. With a burst of speed, He jumped those last few cubes and landed on a very solid-looking stone floor, the teleportation device in the middle and a bit with mat-looking square. The teleportation device was giving of a blue glow and he walked to it. His sense were still alert and he jumped back as another mechanical beast came down upon him. He was not sure if it were the same beast, but he knew he didnt not have the cube's protection.
His only hope would be to hold it off until his teammates got there, if they ever did. Quickly, he threw a smoke bomb, hoping to hide himself. The beast just began firing wildly, Shikamaru had taken to the floor, and moved around, shooting in every direction. Shikamaru was irritated by the sudden turn of events and pulled out an explosive tag and placed it under him. He rolled away, to the edge of the smokescreen and did the same. He stood and ran to the edge he had used to get up to the floating stone floor and placed another one. Then, a bullet hit him on his shoulder and he yelled in pain. It wasn't pain he hadn't experienced before. It was just like a kunai. but he never got used to it.
He hoped the beast would step on the tags., but he had to lure it into them. He waited, laying low in case of a stray bullet caught him again. Once the screen disappeared, the beast saw him. And moved forward. The blast was excruciatingly loud, considering how the place he was in seemed to echo it all over. He put his hands on his ears to try to block the sound, but to no avail. The beast lay crumpled in pieces and Shikamaru was surprised to see how fragile they were. Before moving, he pulled his headband and placed it tightly where the bullet had hit him. It would be enough to stop the flow a blood that was trickling down his arm. He avoided the other two tags and took hold of the teleportation device and the square glowed.
He did not take a step towards it, he moved to the middle of the stone. He was close enough to the square in case the city began to fall, but he would wait for his teammates. He would wait for the last minute and then leave. If his team was not there by then, there was nothing he could do.

Vegeta saw something in the water. A soldier like form swimming in the frigid looking water. "Oh well. I have to find this core thing before this place falls down." Vegeta thought as he jumped headfirst in. Vegeta began to try to communicate with the soldier by tapping him on the shoulder, which caused him to point his gun at Vegeta.

Johnny swung around in apprehension, aiming his handgun at the stranger behind him, despite having no ammunition at all. Yet he paused for a second, his eyes darted the Saiyan Prince before him. His muscular figure somehow was bigger than it was once before, but he was glad to find his teammate in this near zero-degrees sunken city. “VEGETA” Johnny shouted in happiness, hope returned and a higher chance of survival. Johnny clutched onto his mouth, worrying that his voice might echoes and alert the strangers.
“What took you so long?” He asked in a whispered tone, wondering where Vegeta were. After all, he was alone and exhausted all of his ammunition, without any of his teammates out to help him.

"I had business on Planet Namek" Vegeta said in quiet whispers so they would not be heard by the other team. "I was suddenly transported here by a force. I didn't understand. I thought i could ignore the invitation to this hell hole. Do you know the force of these people?" he said, looking at all 3 of his opponents. One with oddly shaped hair. "What is her name?" he thought, marveled by how someone's hair could even go into that shape.

"AH!" Luffy yelled agreement and awaited phis chance to board the other ship but something was weird about boarding inside a safe area. Luffy needed danger and risk whatever he was doing. With that circling in his mind Luffy opened the door and immediatly felt the hallway air pressure suddenly drop and Luffy almost being sucked out grabbed a pipe that was closely secured to the top of the hallway ceiling.
"NOT A GOOD WAY TO DO IT! BUT OH WELL!" Luffy yelled to himself as Marcus was in the control room so for him to hear his voice would be some feat.
Luffy held on tight and soon the pressure stabilized but he wa still in danger of falling off the ship.
"GOMU GOMU NOOOO!!!!! PISTOL!!" Luffy screamed as his right hand released it's grip on the ceilings pipe and shot at an amazing speed to the top of the airship and grabbed the antenea that was near the front of the ship.
As soon as he had grabbed it Luffy's grin turned to a huge smile and yelled, "weeeee," as he shot through the air and landed on top of the ship.
He looked at the Crumbling Flying Castle, "Awesome I want one." Luffy said as he had one hand holding his straw hat and his right hand still holding on tight to the antennea.

Moments pass and they come in. At least now Yamamoto can ask who they are himself rather than pondering it.

Amaterasu stared at the old, bearded man standing in the control room, who was surrounded by a pure and dazzling light. He seemed like he didn't belong here, much like herself and the boy. Though he looked slightly dazed and confused, his deep, dark eyes held incredible wisdom and experience.
He could not be a normal human: no, he smelt much different. Ammy wondered if she could communicate with him. At any rate, he was another ally, and that could only be a good thing. She sat down on the hard, metal floor, and looked between the young boy and the old man with impatience, to see how they would react to each other.

Neku started at the old man. He seemed just as confused as he was when he first arrived on the ship. He knew that he must have been sucked into this world just like he had. He walked over to him slowly looking at him. He was old. Maybe even ancient but with that age he also felt a great power within him. His snow white beard fell from his chin down his front almost to his waist. As he reached him Neku outstretched his hand. He watched it shake slightly.
"Neku Sakuraba."
The man's dark eyes stared into his own and he felt the same familiar connection he had with the wolf. He knew then that this was the last person in their team. He slowly put his hand back down and looked at the wolf. He motioned at it with a hand.
"That's... Wolf... I don't know it's name..."
He looked back up at the old man who stood with great power and pride in his stance. It was almost scary how he looked.

An uproar of mind roused every one of Rogue's ideas and notions to gamble against ultimatum. She couldn’t stand the twist in her life and in her mind. Everything would soon come to a crash and burn. Rogue scoped her surroundings with guarded eyes, having to investigate every single movement. She paced the traffic of her actions slowly, though her thoughts were hustling into a thoughtless anarchy.
With puckered fists, Rogue poised herself, perched on air’s unseen interface. She slipped her hands into her jacket pockets: careful, in control. The sound of an uncanny affair wafted into her ears. Panic was toxic, polluting every bodily function. A brew of saliva slobbered down the side of Rogue's mouth. Had she forgotten how to swallow?
All attention fell to her right foot now. An eerie misfortune would soon unfold. Rogue's foot, her only support to keep her from falling... and falling—it sank down into the lumpy, rustic soil. It was like the ground had been breathing, like something alive resided below her, and where ever she ran she could never escape.
Soon everything smelt of smoke. The scorching heat and a grunge that dyed the air with obsidian had choked Rogue's senses. This alien, barbaric forest was struggling now, struggling to hold Rogue and her two companions.
“There's no time!” Rogue's voice jumped between syllables. She found her head dancing to the music of this chaos, trying to find any means of escape. Along a bend of hedgerow and beyond the undergrowth of oak and pine that margined her existence, a mass of chatoyant light appeared to be fermenting. Brilliant aurora and galactic waste coasted along a stratum of black in the night sky.
This lucent retrograde in this basin of black would not salvage this godforsaken place, unfortunately. Rogue knew that; common sense told her so. This was not some fairytale. What her instincts told her, however, that their attendance there would be vital for survival.

Amaterasu felt relieved that they were not hostile towards each other, though the old man seemed strangly...uptight. The boy introduced her as 'Wolf', at which she let out a soft, indignant bark.
As the people made their aquaintances, Ammy looked out of the deck leading from the cockpit. The Castle was truly magnificent, though it was crumbling away sadly. It seemed to have grown...they were moving towards it, she realized with alarm. More concerning were the two other metal crafts not far away. But what Ammy was most worried about were the rocks that were falling ever so close to the ship.
She bounded onto the deck to see a huge, jagged rock that was too close for comfort. Instincively, she cut in in half using Power Slash, and it melted into harmless dust. But it was not the last, and her ink was not endless. Arching her sleek white head back towards the cockpit, she barked shortly and sharply at the humans, trying to get their attention

Rogue and Lulu... Hmm...
"I, too, felt this connection. I believe that we subconsciously came here, to meet up in such circumstances," Clare replied. The cool wind brushed against her soft skin. "Let's continue moving; we have to find a way to escape this godforsaken forest." Standing up, the blonde warrior sheathed her sword, and began walking, urging the other two to follow her.
It was then that something grabbed onto Clare's left foot. Turning around to investigate, she quickly realized that it was the ground, as if it were swallowing her foot. Struggling for escape, Clare found that resistance was futile. Looking for help, she saw that her new companions were being attacked by the ground as well. Swinging her Claymore at the ground, it seemed that, this, too, was hopeless. It seemed that her promise to Raki, and to Teresa, would not be fulfilled.
"I will avenge Teresa, and kill Priscilla!"
"Raki, we will both live to meet each other again. I promise it."
More than half of Clare's body was now engulfed by the ground. Releasing about thirty percent of her Yoma power, enough for her eyes to turn gold and her face to start mutating, she started to rapidly send a volley of attacks at the earth, all to no avail. Her arms, and Claymore, now consumed, all that remained were her chest and arms. As her head began to sink under, she said, "Teresa, Raki, I'm sorry..."

Soul was hurrying through the bushes, up ahead was the glowing platform he had been hoping to see. He was about a mile away from its glowing beacon and he began to pick up the pace. Looking back he spied a black leopard tussling through the bushes, stealthily waiting to attack. Soul was hobbling along when Maka awoke in his arms. "What-what happened?" She spat, coughing up a bit of darkened blood.
"I got you out of there, Maka. We need to get to the transportation device and use the core to get out of here."
"What happened though, I remember power...unyielding power."
Soul dropped his gaze and hopped over a root, stepping sideways to avoid another. "We used the Black Blood."
Maka gasped. "No, Soul we couldn't have." Soul only nodded in reply. "But Soul, I thought, I thought, we were able to sustain it."
Soul stopped behind a tree branch and panted, catching his breath. "We held it back yes, but these are no ordinary opponents, we need to learn to control the black blood if we are to have any hope of getting home safely." Maka nodded.
"It's okay I can run, I just needed a few minutes off my feet to recover." Soul hesitated then put her down. "Transform." Soul appeared in her arms and she turned back to see the Jaguar getting closer. "Here kitty, kitty, kitty." She turned at the next moment to start her run and found a short brown haired kid with headphones on and futuristic clothes on. She was cornered but Soul vibrated in her hand. "He's no foe."
"Who are you?" Maka asked eying the kid closely. "What are you doing here?"

"What's your name?"
The old man mildy suprise that a mere mortal could actually look upon him said quietly in deep voice, "Be proud to hear this name as spoken from lips child for many have not walk away after hearing so. My name as First Captain of the 13 Court Guard divisions is Yamamoto Genryuusai Shigekuni."
Yamamoto waits a second to see if his name would have any effect on him but seeing none continues, " I must ask if you would know the reason for being here. None in my 2,000 years of life have i been swept away by something so strange as this."
It was then he felt a silmmer of power being held in check as if someone was doing their best to keep it hiddent. He turns his head and see's it's emmanting from the wolf.
In what was to be another in a string of pleasant suprises that he realized that this wolf was that of godly figurely such as him. Surely, one such as this could tell him what was going on. At least more so than the child.
Now fully turned to the wolf; he asks, "May you be a spirit or divine being such as I?"

While Amaterasu locked eyes with Yamamoto Genryuusai Shigekuni, she felt the old man's voice echoing inside her own head: they could share their thoughts. She thought towards him 'I am Okami Amaterasu, the sun Goddess. I was travelling with my companion back towards the celestial plains, when I suddenly found myself on the ship.
'I think Neku, the boy, has had something similiar happen to him. We need to find a way away from this place. We are near a floating, crumbling city. There are other ships around us, which may be hostile. We are also in danger of falling rocks. I may be able to protect us from them for a while using the celestial brush.'
She made her thoughts short and simple, so that he would understand them easily. She broke the powerful connection between, and gazed skyward. She slashed more tumbling rocks into nothingness.

MegaMan ingeniously observed the two new, eccentric individuals. An astounding wrench of tenderness grazed away at his vigorous soul, tightening his resolute union with his other team associates. Something within his own pure essence was desperately gesturing the blue bomber to lessen his obsessed guard, and allow his unexpected relations to encase his intellect.
I feel like I should know them somehow. We are... connected.
“My name is MegaMan,” the forceful teen responded as he reduced the immense strain that was constraining his MegaBuster. “What’s going on?”
He could feel every energetic beat dwelling inside his petrified heart, countering his impulsive state of inclusive terror. In the matter of mere minutes, the lone boy was compelled to once again compete in the aggressive clash against several resolves, and assisted in the persistent obliteration of an atrocious mechanical beast.
These procedures were certainly related to the appalling games he once remembered. If the infuriating Gods did not erase his moral memories, then perhaps his ambitions to terminate the unnecessary bloodshed would still tremble within his innocuous spirit. However, even if the impervious beings seized his fallen recollections, his enthusiastic drive for peace would never erode and dwindle. Even now, as he spoke with his existing comrades, his sense of integrity and tranquility still swallowed his luminous core.

"Impressive" says Yamamoto, "yet let me show you what i can do."
It was then that Yamamoto considered drawing his Zanpaktou in destory all that stood in their way with one swift stroke but decides against it in fear of what adverse effects that may arise if unleashing his monstrous power would do much less the effects of the flames.
He then refocuses his attention to Neku and asks, "What do you have plan boy?"

"We don't know what is going on. I am Ulquiorra and this is Peter." Ulquiorra nodded to Peter. "All we know is that we have to find a power core in the center of ther forest. We have about 5 miles to go." Ulquiorra looked at his wounds, and they were already closing up. Ulquiorra also sensed Peter inside of him. "Peter injected me with healing blood? But I think that blood does more than just heal..." Ulquiorra raised his hand, and the same electric blue ball appeared in his hands, the same one in appearance that Peter used. "Intresting...." "We have to go." Ulquiorra said. "We have another teammate, but he isn't around here. Let's go. See you there." Ulquiorra grabbed Peter, and planned on Soinidoing, but instead ran at Super-speed. "Odd...."Ulquiorra stopped, and looked around. They were surrounded by a ring of trees. They had arrived at the center of the forest.

There were voices, many voices, resonating, vibrating, all in a symphonic melody. They all yelled, a name he could not understand, yet it felt familiar somehow, like they were yelling for him....
Yoh jumped back in sudden disorientation the view around him alien and new. He fell on his rear end and let out a small gasp of pain amplified by confusion. His vision whirled and his head spun in reminiscence. He calmed down as it all came to a stop, his hands leaving the side of his head, it was like someone suddenly turned the volume up. For a moment, every sound seemed like a sharp shriek that reaped blood from his ears. Everything normalized as he stood up, looking around, a different hue of colors then when his eyes had closed.
"Damn, what the hell."
He tried to move feeling a little woozy at first and slowly regained his former balance.
"Anna?, Morti? Amidamaru? Where are you guys?"
He had a small panic attack, his eyes going blank for a brief second, but rearranging themselves just as fast. He looked around frantically as he heard a voice say: "Who are you?" and "What are you doing here?"
Not recognizing the voice his immediate reaction was to back flip and knock a firm branch out of tree as he quickly sustained it and brandished it dangerously.
"Who am I? You better start answering who are you, and where am I?" His eyes still looked around for a wisp of hope, but Amidamaru was yet to be seen.

Neku watched as Wolf and the old man looked at one another. He felt a certain electricity between them that made the hairs on the back of his neck standup. As soon as he felt the connection he also felt it disappear. The wolf looked up toward the sky and as Neku was walking out onto the deck he saw a giant boulder heading down toward the ship. The wolf looked completely calm and collected as she concentrated on something. As he looked on he saw a power build up around her. She quickly slashed the falling rock with a psychic force. When Neku looked closely it looked like ink. The boulder melted at it's touch and turned to dust falling harmlessly to the ground. When the attack was finished he watched the man talk to the wolf again. He finished talking and looked at Neku. He watched his mouth move but his attention was elsewhere. He looked up and saw another boulder coming down at the old man. He acted quickly and dug into his pockets. He fished out a pin and looked at it. On it a simple white glove was printed. He held it in his hands and pointed it up at the boulder. Focusing his energy he felt the same familiar power surge through him. He released the energy onto the boulder. He watched as it froze in mid-air. Neku knew he had a grip on it. He moved his hand moving the boulder along until it was well out of the ships reach. He let go and watched as gravity took over and it began to fall once again.
Neku looked back at the old man.
"We need to get with the program."
Neku pointed toward the distant ships as the floated timidly through the air.
"One of us needs to get on one of those ships and get this 'Power Core' thing. That's the only way we can get out of this place."

Ulquiorra began looking around, at the forest center. He chopped vines, cut down trees, pulled up grass, and still found nothing. Then, in the middle of the clearing, was a piece of metal. "Found it." Ulquiorra reached out to touch it, and recoiled, as an earthquake had begun. Energy was flowing everywhere, and the piece of metal rose, becoming a giant robot. Ulquiorra reacted quickly, to see if the power core was under the robot, where it had been buried. It wasn't. The robot let out missles, and one slammed into Ulquiorra, breaking his ribs. But Ulquiorra got up, and could already feel them healing, thanks to Peter's blood. He ran, and he felt something odd inside of the robot. He quickly plucked out his eye, and when the robot roared, through it in. They eye Ulquiorra had lost had regenerated, but the eye inside of the robot aloud Ulquiorra to see. There, in the middle, powering the robot was the power core. Then, energy built up around the eye, and crushed it. The eye shattered like glass. Ulquiorra jumped onto the robot, and hacked two of its arms off. The arms became mini robots. Ulquiorra then chopped the legs off, and still found his way inside barred. The legs also became mini robots, which advanced on Peter, paying no heed to Ulquiorra. One looked at Ulquiorra, scratched its head like a normal human being, then advanced on Peter. "It must be the same aura...." Ulquiorra cut a hole in the robot, and found the shattered eye, already melting. The inside was closing fast, and he knew what he had to do. He grabbed the power core, and jumped out of the hole which he had made. The main robot, still on the ground, became two more robots. Ulquiorra tucked the power core in a safe spot, a sealed pocket with in his outfit. Ulquiorra then closed his jacket, grabbed his sword, and leaped at the robots advancing towards Peter.

Maka walked off, hoping he would follow and began to talk as she strolled politely. "I am Maka Albarn! This is Soul Eater Evans." She tapped the scythe on the side and Soul's head popped out. "How do you do?" He transformed back and she kept walking. "Please keep up, we have somewhere to be at precise sundown. You see, you are in a garden on some floating city, brought by some Judge of Wisdom, who has unleashed a pox of robotic beasts on us. As a downside we have the object we must obtain, the core" she pulled it out of her pocket and let the blue orb shine brightly, then shoved it back inside. "But we are being pursued by a dangerous loony girl who happens to possess an extremely annoying talent of transformation. I suppose I should tell you we're teammates." She extended her hand to shake.
Soul was laughing. "Maka you are quite the talker." Maka kicked him in the blade and swung him over her shoulder, still waiting for the handshake. "I would be honored if you would hold off the little beast while I activate the transport pad. Whaddaya say?"

(OOC: If you have never seen heroes, Peter's blood heals you....but its ok I guess...)
Peter had been following Ulquiorra through the forest, making sure that Megaman was following behind as well. As soon as he saw Ulquiorra digging around in the mud, he knew it was a trap, he didn’t know how, but he knew. “Stop… He cried out but he was too slow, as a giant robot erupted out of the ground and started to advance on Ulquiorra, while Peter could only watch in horror. However it was apparent that Ulquiorra was keeping his own against the robot and had gotten the power core, while in the mean time of this epic confrontation, six mini robots started to advance on Peter, even though they were mini versions of the bigger robot they were as strong or even stronger then their father.
“Die!” Peter yelled out as he quickly unleashed six electrical blasts from his fingers, however it had no effect. It seemed the robots had adapted to Peter’s attacks, suddenly all the sliver beasts, jumped at once with claws outstretched. However when they reached the spot where Peter had been, he was now on the other side of the clearing, he smiled easily as he rushed towards the monsters and let lose a massive punch into the head of one of the robots, while at the same time he swung at the legs, hoping to unbalance it. The trick worked and the robot crashed to the ground, yet there were still five robots left. He quickly turned to Megaman and Ulquiorra. “Help Me!” He yelled out as he dodged a blast that was aimed for his head.

Amaterasu was impressed by the boy's unexpected power; it would make it easier for them to defend themselves. With extreme concentration, she gazed at the two other airships, which were floating along steadily like Lilypads on a stream. She thought that she could make out someone attempting to board another airship from the third. Her ivory stood on end; an enemy. From this distance, the only thing they could do was try and hinder them, so she readied the brush, and preformed galestorm around the airships. They buffetted wildly in the harsh wind. Ammy looked at Yamamoto again, and asked 'Can you or Neku drive this ship?'

All the information was absorbed, even though if it wasn't understood. It wasn't the first time he had been trapped in some unknown place with a group of strangers and forced to fight an opponent he did not know.
He wasn't too sure what to do, but Yoh would keep his cool like he always did. He was still worried about Amidamaru, if he didn't show up, he wouldn't be able to fight back any attack. Eying the strange girl carefully he stretched out his hand to shake hers and put on a big cheesy grin, those were his specialty. He greeted her talking weapon unphased, in fact, he himself had one that was nowhere around. "The name's Yoh Asakura the Shaman King, but Yoh will do fine."
He looked around searching for the leopard. It couldn't be Jaco... Yoh's eyes fell back on the girl before he continued talking, "I'm no use without Amidamaru. Shaman King or not, I'm nothing without my spirit. Have you seen him?" His hands felt for his pockets, searching for anything that seemed familiar. "He's this big," he outstretched his hands, indicating the size of Amidamaru. "He's a 500 year old Samurai, with some funky looking hair."
"Funky? Master Yoh there you are!" A cheery call made Yoh react and he spun around meeting eye to eye with his guardian ghost.
"Amidamaru..."
"Master Yoh I thought I lost you!" He was squeezing Yoh Asakura and weeping tears of joy.
"A..mida...maru... air..." The ghost dropped the shaman boy instantaneously as hie refilled his lungs with air and laughed at Amidamaru.
Yoh turned to Maka and gave them the thumbs up with the cheesy smile again. "Alright, I'm all set. Wheres the cat?"

Ulquiorra quickly jumped, and intercepted the beam with his blade, then jumped away.
Ulquiorra jumped, and slammed his sword into one of the robots. The sword stopped, and Ulquiorra was suprised. But the sword cleaved through the robot after a minute. Ulquiorra proceeded to dice up the robot, and the pieces fell to the ground. They began reforming. "I don't have much time.... Cero!" The green beam built up energy, the shot out towards the pieces. The pieces literally put up a fight, sending parts of he Cero back at him, injuring him, but it then healed. After another minute, the Cero pushed through, eliminating the pieces from existence. Ulquiorra went over to Peter, back more to aid him.

Peter was about to yell out again, when he found Ulquiorra at his back. This is going to be hard… He thought as he grabbed a robot head and blasted through it with fire, however the head soon reformed in his hands and bit him. “Ouch!” Peter exclaimed as he dropped the sliver, mechanical head onto the ground. It then jumped back onto it’s body and resumed its attack. The last remaining robots then seemed to look at each other, and conveyed a message between their robot brains that were so connected. They then moved to each other and a whirl wind surrounded them. After a few minutes a gigantic robot appeared, towing above all of the other monsters that they had fought. It was massive and would easily squash them like bugs.
At this moment, only one thought entered Peter’s brain, only one thought prevailed through the fear that had grabbed him. The instinct to survive the flight or fight instinct that each and every human had in common between them, Peter only had one thought and that was to, “RUN!” He yelled as he turned and got ready to sprint the hell out of the clearing. But before he could grab his team mates and disappear, another robot appeared in the direction that he was about to run in, about the same size as the other one. “Ok…now what?” Peter wondered as he ended up in a triangle back to back with Ulquiorra and Megaman…

Maka was at the transportation beacon, placing the core in it's slot and smirked. "There" she pointed where the bushes were coming to life. "Good luck partner" she turned back to the machine and opened a hatch on it. She dug inside and found two cords, one red and one blue. She crossed them and plugged them into the side of the core and suddenly the transportation beacon lit up with a humming sound. Maka placed her hands on the side and shrieked as a zap wen through her. Floating in the air around her were weird symbols and words. She tapped a few of them and the transportation panel hummed louder. She put her hand down on one of the control bars and let the image of a battery fill the screen. She pressed it until it said 3% and watched it slowly charge. "Yo, Yoh! I got it up and running, now we just gotta wait for it to charge all the way and get out of here." Soul was smirking. "Maka, I think I like the odds we have right now." Maka nodded.
She took her stance in the middle of the transportation beacon and let the power surged around her. A few times the gravity became stale and she had to step back. She gripped Soul firmly before letting him transform back. "Keep and eye out for any of the other team members." The battery filled to 10% as they began to keep watch. "No one's getting passed us."

Blood was all he could feel, all he could taste. He saw it everywhere, even when it wasn't there. It was taking over his mind, his sanity strangled and held down in venomous binds of darkness. His humanity, grew smaller and smaller in size as his beastly nature came forward. There was a reason, he was here. His mind was trying to hold onto that fact, desperately looking for something to grasp. To keep Rex alive. The battle seemed to be a lost cause though, and still his eyes turned more red, following the trail. The trail had led him through a very long journey, catching up with battles he had missed by a short amount of time. Now, though...
He was catching up. His hearing picked up the heavy breathing, the coughing of blood. The hunger he felt grew more and more, but one thing was still missing. Nobody had yet to feel true fear.
That would change soon enough. For a Darkling would never be completely satisfied until fear captivated the heart, making the soul incapable of movement. He had only to find that fear.
They were nearer... Yes, they. He sensed two beings, not one. He ran faster and faster, wind whipping back his dark brown hair, red eyes shining. The dark liquid that would complete him, it would be his soon enough.
Without hesitation, Rex jumped onto the platform, locking onto a boy who was trying to stand watch. Rex's glare was strong, running straight at him with tensing muscles.

"Hey Soul," Maka said as the battery hit the 20% mark. Soul tensed and sat up. "Yeah Maka?" Maka typed something into the floating computer monitor and whispered. "It's way too quiet now. I feel as if someone should be trying really hard to get the platform to themselves." Soul hesitated before he responded. "They should, keep a swift eye."
A dark presence loomed from the bushes and before Maka could clearly identify the bearer of the Soul that was looming something shot out with the intent to collided with Soul. Maka heard it coming before Soul could react. Maka knocked Soul to the ground, taking his place. From his place on the ground Soul looked up and saw Maka's eyes burning brightly with a goal in mind. Soul sat back at his piano, deep within his own consciousness. Maka took the stage in a beautiful dress again. Soul tapped his first note and she bent down, grabbing Soul's hand as he transformed into his scythe mode. She twirled him behind her and aimed at the figure making the assault. She used the blunt end of her scythe to knock it away. She twirled the scythe around her body and her Soul expanded to cover the entire platform.
"You will not take what is rightfully ours." He voice shook the platform and the battery hit 30%. Maka was looking around for the traces of Soul left over from the creature, whatever it was and brought Soul behind her, so she could attack him from any angle. She was slowly making her way to the center of the platform where the core floated in the air. She was stangin directly below it now, nothing could take it from her. Nothing would dare attack when the black blood flowed through her.
Deep within their minds Soul was drowning in madness. The red demon danced on the piano, twirling and screaming. "Ah, Soul, what a happy madman you've made of yourself." He clapped and danced as Soul's legs were consumed by the darkness. Outside, however, the air was heavy with power, power that was drifting from her scythe. "Come out, come out, whereever you are." Her voice rippled through the air like a rocket.

Darkness had settled within his heart, filling him with the wisdom and instinct of a millenia of Ancients. Every ability they had began to take over, and he felt as if his body could change as they had the ability to. Perhaps, he could. The force of the attack had repelled him, but he had immediately gotten back up after rolling backwards, snarling at them in a rugged tone. He went rigid, feeling his human mind getting crushed even further.
He stood straight up, his arms limp. His smoldering red eyes bore into the one who had saved the boy. Somehow, the boy had become a weapon, knocking him back. His prey, actually putting up a fight. Not the average humans. He watched them, glowering with hate, but with a mysterious light added to his eyes. Rex was searching within them, trying to find their fears. He could still sense the soul of the boy, however insane it had started to become. One question remained in his mind.
What do you fear?
The Ancients whispered in his head. This was the ability to be used, to immobilize an enemy. To make them see their fears. He felt empowered as he attempted to use the power. If they were immobilized... He could attack. A brief window to kill... Yes, he would taste blood.

Neku ran back into the control room of the ship and looked around. Everything looked complicated. The blinking lights and array of switches confused him. He looked around for anything that seemed the smallest bit similar. He saw that he would have guessed was an altimeter. He found throttle that seemed promising and next to it a steering wheel. He quickly went back to the door and yelled out to the old man and wolf.
"I'm going to see if I can get you closer to the other ships. Then one of you get on and get their core!"
Neku went back towards the controls and looked at them tentatively. He placed his hands on the steering wheel and turned it slightly towards the right. The ship responded by lazily drifting to the right. He grabbed the throttle and pushed it forward slightly. One of the reader's needles began to move slightly as the ship gained speed. They flew closer and closer to the ship until they were a few hundred feet from one of the ships. Neku walked back outside.
"Go, I'll stay here and guard the ship."

Maka was waiting as a black mist enveloped her. "What do you fear?" She watched as the creature shot out of the darkness and knocked Soul from her hands. She scrambled to pick him up but the creature was too fast. The creature turned into a man, and he was holding Soul by his blade. Maka gasped and ran forward but the man knocked her backwards and she flew into the cold stone of the altar. The man stood over her holding Soul and then gripped the blade with his hands and clenched it tight. Soul shattered to pieces at her feet and and man pressed his foot against her head, smashing her into the shards of Soul's lifeless weapon form. She cried Bloody Mary as the horrific creature threw her off the transportation pad and into a lake of black ooze. She was sinking now, her blood dripping from her eyes like black tears. She was on the floor, sinking into the black ooze as it consumed her.
Emptiness, dark, black, abyss. She was trapped in madness and Soul was dead. "Soul!" she cried with all her might. "Soul save me." She fell to her knees in the darkness bloody tears streaming from her eyes like rivers. The light of her world faded before her as she saw the blurred vision of a man standing with silver hair. She looked at him and he called to her. "Maka, snap out of it." She got up and ran to him. When she blinked she was standing on the transport beacon again. The voice had come to her from Soul, who was barely holding the creature back, both his arms were sharp pointed blades and he was attacking the creature so it wouldn't get the core.
"What do you fear" the creature was cursing at Soul. Soul simply shrugged. "Your mind games don't work on a weapon. They may be good at keeping away Meisters but I am a weapon who needs no master." He parried the creature off of him and ran over to Maka. Maka was on the ground, clutching an invisible scythe and she was shaking. She looked around and realized what happened. "Maka, you must no fear the black blood, and you must not fear losing me, it will only make him stronger." Maka nodded weakly and grabbed Soul's extended hand getting back up she saw the battery meter was now at 75%. "Soul get ready, we have to hold this thing off, whatever it may be."

Rex roared furiously, gaining control of his movements. It hadn't worked on both of them, and the weapon had freed it's master. How touching. Regardless, Rex's blood pumped through him, his ears ringing with sensation of power. His skin felt as if it was taking on a darker tone, yet it wasn't much of a difference. Looks like he had only the attacks to do. They were protecting something, that much he had gathered. That held no meaning for him, though. He had only one intent on mind, and that was the death of the human.
He bounded forward, dashing with greater speed than ever, hands outstretched as a claw, darkness changing him even as he moved. He truly was a darkling, or very close to it. He could feel the leathery skin moving over him again, just as he had felt that one night. The black skin spread from his back, covering his arms and hands. It crept up towards his head, but stopped right below the mouth, leaving his face visible, with an insane, instinct driven look etched into it. One last snarl, and he slashed out with his newly formed hand, the skin molding into four long claws, attacking the scythe first with ferocity. Bringing up his other hand, it too changed, becoming talons that would easily cut and hold onto the soft skin of his prey.

Maka dodged the hit and swung Soul up behind her. The creature had somehow become even more scary and now it was charging making hits on her like crazy. She glanced over to see the power charger reach 80% and then felt a knock against her cheek as a claw pounded into her. Another claw went up to get her other cheek and she kicked Soul so that his blade was covering it. 81% She pushed back against the creature and aimed at pushing him off the platform. She spun around in a circle now, keeping her ground. 82% she was making good time, if only she could keep it charging. She jumped over a hit and kicked the claw backwards. 83% She flipped backwards and landed in front of the core again, this time she dropped low down and let the hit go over. 84% He was advancing quickly but she had left the core unguarded for a split second. The creature did not even make a go for it and she aimed at his legs, swiping furiously at them, trying to push him backwards. 85% She moved with precision, bringing herself into full circle of the core. "Back off swipey, you're not gonna touch it." 86% She made sure there were no open angles for him to attack and then grabbed the core and shoved it into the panel below, protecting it from any chance of thievery. 87% She stood in its line as the beast made another charge and brought up the scythe to hold it of, but her aimed low and her leg made an awful sound. 88% She fell to the ground horribly hurt and pushed the beast off her. "Get away from me." 89% She kicked with all her might and drove it backwards. She rolled over in pain and screamed as loud as she could.
Soul transformed back and both his arms became blades. "Maka are you alright." Maka nodded, "I'm fine it's just a bad scratch, I can stand." Maka grabbed onto his back and stood wobbly, her feet shaking as she did. "Maka, this is gonna take both of us." Maka nodded and they circled the panel together, guarding the orb. It clicked to 90%.
The blast emitted by the humorous axe-scythe wielding adolescent was far more menacing than he had anticipated. Something in the way she taunted him sent a chill down his spine, a rare occurrence for someone so drenched in blood. He doubted that taking the blast head on would be rather disastrous and that any wound would be more disastrous and would not yield the same results as the first wound she had inflicted.
With a simple wave of his fingers, a large rock from the remains of a tower rose off of the ground and flew through the air, striking him with enough force to send him fifty meters away. A large, prickly bush broke his fall, though he did not make a sound. He slowly rose to his feet and stepped out of the bush; lacerations caused by the bush's thorns quickly healed and left droplets of blood scattered across his body to be absorbed by his clothes.
The boulder that had struck him lay a short distance from where he stood. An idea struck him and a smirk broke his hardened face. He climbed atop the rock and sat down. Immediately the stone rose in the air and floated across the grassy field below.
A glow in the distance caught his eye.
Whatever she possesses must have some purpose.
The trinket glowed as well, he realized. Perhaps it was the trinket or something power by the trinket. Whatever the case may be, inspecting the mysterious glow was the only feasible action
As he approached the glimmering location, A swift movement caught his eye: a dark figure leapt from the over an easy-going looking boy and faced the girl. The stone lowered and he sunk below the foliage.
The girl let out a shriek.
This is my chance!
The rock moved silently around the perimeter until Sylar was directly behind the girl. It was at that moment that the wench broke free from her trance.
Shi-
The figure that had attacked transformed into some sort of wolf-like creature and the wench attacked it.
The only idea that surfaced seemed absurd and relied heavily upon the element of surprise. Since it was the only thing that came to mind, he decided to run with it. He leapt from the platform he was seated upon and in four bounds was on the glowing "thing". As he ran, he took the moisture from the humid air and froze it, forming several very thin icicles.
"Freeze!" he shouted, then realized what he said and burst into a fit of laughter. "Get it? Freeze? Guess not."
The icicles hovered in the air, poised to strike.

He ignored the new prey, for he had only two targets in mind, and he had already tasted the blood of these two.
The skin was like armor, he felt practically nothing, yet even in his insane state of mind he knew deep within that it was just the adrenaline, or whatever the hell it was that made the darklings so persistent. It would fade soon, he knew, and he would feel pain. For now, though, all he felt was hunger. The blood covered his claws, dropping down. He stood before the two of them, staring at them with wide, expectant eyes. Such powerful prey, but they tasted all the better that way. As if to reassure that fact, the monster that was Rex slowly lifted a claw, licking at it with a blackened tongue, as if the darkness had infected everything beneath his skin as well.
It tasted incredible, multiplying his hunger, increasing the Ancient's power over his mind. The being took a step forward, then another. He was no more than five feet away, yet they didn't make a move. They were waiting for something, yet of course he didn't register that. With a sudden jolt, he jumped towards them, pulling both claws over his head, ready to bring them down onto the ground, and hopefully through them in the process. The battery slowly clicked to 97%.

Ulquiorra grabbed them, and pulled them forward. "IF you won't come quickly...Guess I'm just gonna have to force you." Ulquiorra continued in the direction the light was pointing in, holding onto Peter and Megaman at the same time. Ulquiorra walked through the forest, and by the time he had to change course because the light was pointing in another direction, it was already sunset. "I don't think we have much time..." Ulquiorra gasped, as he saw a plain open clearing. "We are out of the forest? But how is that possible?" Then Ulquiorra looked again, and saw tons of trees felled, blended to look like the ground. The light in his pocket died out. The sun was almost set. "I think we are here."

Soul parried the icicles as they flew at him. "You really think you're clever." The battery clicked to 98% as he spoke and he winked at Maka. He swiped after the man jabbing him with every chance he could. He was blocking hits left and right and using his two blade-arms he was dueling fairly fell with the fellow. Deep inside Soul was laughing, did they even know about the real goal here? Did they only wish to murder Maka and himself, or did they truly just wish to beat them and steal the glory of winning. Soul laughed out loud, probably catching his opponent off guard. "You're not getting past me, no sir-e."
Maka punched at the animal as it leapt after her. She knocked it's paw aside and kicked at it, sending it flying backwards. She jumped over it and kicked at it again but it got back up and swiped at her, injuring her leg again. She fell to the floor and gasped, choking back tears. The battery hit 99% as she did. Soul ran over to her and held the animal back as she cried in pain. He blocked a montage of icicles and held off the animal on the other side.
"Nice try" he shouted ducking under their next hits. He parried and flew forward, slamming his fist onto the control board just as it hit 100%. The panel exploded with light that leaked into the sky and zoomed across the garden. Deep below the garden the transporter beacon began to rise into the sky and the terrain crumbled beneath its might. Maka felt the rumbling as it rose higher into the sky and Yoh jumped up to join them. Maka sat up and smiled as Soul laughed. "Looks like we have a few extra passengers on this trip." Soul smiled back at her as the entire sky faded into a blinding white light. All they remembered next was that they were holding hands and then Maka and Soul drifted into sleep. Deep unmadness, sleep.

The light scorched him, burning the leathery skin that had covered him. The acrid smell it left would make any other person grow sick within moments. The light destroyed the skin, pushing it off from his pale, human skin. Ashes flew around, and pain beyond anything he could ever imagine was making him cry out. Rex made every attempt to hide from the light, but it was everywhere. There was no escaping it's pure, awesome presence. The darkling side of him fought with every last bit of it's strength to hold onto it's grip, but it was slowly losing the battle. Rex would soon gain control...
Perhaps, when he regained conciousness. The pain faded away, his mind felt as if it were being locked, held in place. His red eyes slowly faded while they gently were closed. He felt tortured, but at the same time...
He was at peace. He had but one question, as Rex regained control.
Where am I?
The creature next to him seemed to burst into flames and dissolve. The being that remained resembled that of a young man.
Please don't be naked.
The man seemed confused; lost.
Aren't we all?
He extended his hand to try to give the kid an anchor, something solid to grasp on to mentally and physically.
"My name's Sylar. Welcome to a whole new type of hell, kid."

It all came rushing back to him, at least parts. He had been taken over, completely under control. That was simply wonderful. His new, cold personality took over, as the man next to him extended his hand, offering his name. He considered ignoring him, but somehow he felt that was not what he should do. This man... He didn't know what to think of him.
He didn't grab his hand, but the least he could do was say his name.
"Rex," he managed to say, just before the rush of air took the breath from his lungs. The light blinded him, and he fell gently unconcious.
Depression slowly descended upon his conscious mind as he realized that the only other person who may or may not be awake was some goofy looking kid. He eyed the man who had identified himself as "Rex" and sighed inwardly. He hoped that he would be able to use him to advance in the wicked tournament that he had been thrown into. Again.
Though he was not tired, he lay down upon the ascending platform and closed his eyes, conscious of every sound that was made, ready to act at the drop of a hat.

"Take heed and leave now my children." The goddess whispers as the city slowly crumbles to the sea below. Those who did not accomplish their goal will receive less points than those who did. Good luck int he next round, my children.
