Darkness. It overcame me. I had no regrets at the time. I just wanted out of there. Out of my prison. That's what I thought it was... But I now realize... It was MY prison. They were MY islands... With my friends... When I stepped through that door... I..
...I betrayed them...
I now regret that decision. There was so much that went wrong. I should have been stronger than that. Now... I wonder...
...What if I didn't?

Keyblades... what are they? They choose their wielder. And that would be someone of strong heart... The Keyblade of Twilight... It chose me this time because of the path I walked. But light... It was supposed to choose me. Not Sora. But I chose that door. And my heart changed. Sometimes... Sometimes I hear it talk to me. At least, I think it's the keyblade. Telling me that I was the strength of Twilight... Everything turned out right. But here I am, sitting on this Paopu tree. Wondering, what if? What if on that day... I made the decision to not walk through the door to darkness, and received the keyblade of light. That's when I closed my eyes...
____
This boy... He hates himself.
No, Not hate. Simply regret. He doesn't know that things played as they needed to.
That being so, we can show him.
Show him?! Ridiculous! We would have to shift him to the alternate universe, erase his memory, and turn back time.
Hmm...
What is it that you are thinking?
Is it truly the right? Is this universe what was meant to be? The keyblade of light did originally choose him. Who are we to say what is right and wrong? Perhaps we should give the lad another chance.
W-what? Preposterous!
No. I am inclined to agree. The keyblades have never been wrong before. Riku was meant to walk down the path of light. What makes them wrong this time?
Nothing is perfect! Everything is entitled to mistakes.
That being said, I believe that it should be. Let us see where things shall go.
You too?! Fine! It shall be done. Let us hope that it will not be the doom of everything.
For being a creator, you seem to hold some doubt on the creation.
Hmph. Just do it, and we shall see...

I will only allow three Original Characters. Please send the bios to me via Private Message (commonly known as a PM). Do not be in a rush. It isn't first come first serve. It's whoever I feel will be a good character. Please PM the Square Enix character bios as well. This will keep this thread uncluttered. In the beginning of your PM'd submission to show you read the rules, type "Insanity" and your username as the subject of the PM.
On the subject of romance: I want you to keep it PG-13 max. Remember that Kingdom Hearts was only an E rated game, and there wasn't even kissing. This RP does not revolve around romance, so I don't want you to get too caught up in it. I don't care if you do mxm, fxf, or mxf relationships, but don't let it go too far. Kissing, cuddling, tops.
I shouldn't have to remind you of the rules of the RP forum. Keep to the minimum post length of the RP (2 paragraph minimum), proof read, and I don't want to hear any excuses about "writers block." I know it happens. It happens to me, too, but I keep to the post length anyway. Rules are rules. If you need a little help, don’t be afraid to contact me. Trust me, I am your friend! If you’re having trouble writing, work with me.
There are just RP no-nos that I shouldn't have to remind you of, either. No Meta-gaming or God modding. Don't be afraid of making funny references here and there, but this is a serious RP. Please keep it that way.
So just remember those lovely little steps, and everyone will be happy. For those of you wanting to play SE characters, thank you. For those who want to try for the Original Character spot, good luck, and don't be shy to play another Square Enix character if your character doesn't make it. I won't turn you down. And remember, that it isn't limited to Final Fantasy. If it is copywrited by "Square," "Squaresoft," or "Square Enix" it is a valid character.
More shall be put into light as the Roleplay trudges on.
If you have any questions, PM me, or send me an IM on MSN if you have it.

Name: Quistis Trepe
Game: Final Fantasy VIII
Personality: Quistis seems to constantly be suspended between two polar personalities. One of these is confident and intelligent- easily capable of giving orders and holding leadership responsibilities, while she also has a side that is much less sure of herself. This self-doubt is something that she has dealt with throughout much of her life, but has been compounded through recent events. Regardless, she takes teamwork very seriously, and feels a sort of responsibility for those she chooses to or needs to work with. She struggles with emotions- not entirely sure how to deal with a lot of them- but in the end is usually able to come up with rational, logical solutions to difficulties. Having spent much of her childhood progressing through a military academy, Quistis has still not quite mastered the art of social interaction with her peers. This is not to say she lacks social skill, but at times she can be percieved as a little awkward.
History: Following the conflict with the sorceress Ultamecia, Quistis did not try to regain her role as an instructor at Balamb Garden. Instead, she became the leader of her own small SeeD team, whose company she grew to enjoy immensely- much like she had with Squall, Rinoa and the others. She still saw her friends often, but rarely fought along side them.
One day while out on a mission, the world was invaded by a mysterious darkness, and overrun by shadows. When she was evacuated via gummi ship to the unfamiliar world known as "Traverse Town", none of her team members and few of her friends could be found. Although she knows that there really wasn't anything she could have done to save them, she places a part of the responsibility for their fate on her own shoulders. She was, after all, responsible for them. Since discovering people in this town who had all gone through similar experiences, she has joined up with some of them in order to use her military training to protect her new home from the same creatures that still appear in the streets.
Weapon: "Slaying tail"- A silver-colored chain whip fixed with a sharp, diamond-shaped object at the end of it's length for added efficiency.
Appearance:[Link] (http://www.flickr.com/photos/illiara/376890463/) Quistis still retains most of her original costume. Once exception, however, is that she gave up on the skirt that she used to wear outside of her black pants in favor of more ease in mobility. When her chain whip is not in use, she wraps it around her hips as a sort of makeshift belt. She also now gathers all of her long blonde tresses in a loose ponytail and out of her face.

Name: Ulf
Game: Grandia III
Personality: Ulf, like those he grew up with, loves food and simplicity, though he left his home after disagreeing with his parents' strict rules. This has caused conflict between himself and his village in the Valley of the Dragons, but Ulf found friends outside of the village who supported him, including some who he could share his passion for flying with, namely the pilots Yuki and Schmidt. No one is more important to Ulf than his dragon, Shiba, who has been with him since he was born, though he is quick to make new friends - who he sometimes "introduces" himself too by biting (typically a shoulder). Ulf is big on loyalty, trust, and freedom, and those that mess with these, either by betraying Ulf or those he considers friends, or by trapping people against their will, will find themselves on the recieving end of this wolf-boy's ire.
History: After Ulf left the Valley of the Dragons, he spent a couple of years traveling the world with his dragon, Shiba. Eventually the two met up with Yuki and Alfina, and joined them in their quest to find Alfina's brother Emelios, and to figure out why he was going around killing the Guardians. After meeting with the Guardian of the Valley of the Dragons, Drak, a dark sphere appeared above the trio of travelers. They thought it was a Verse sphere - an orb that transported people to the Verse realm, a realm of glass that was terrifying in its silence. Instead, it was the world falling apart as it was consumed by the Heartless. Now Ulf has found himself in another world entirely, and his dragon Shiba has become a two-foot-long, miniturized version of his former self. though Ulf has had the freedom of the skies as well as all of his friends taken from him, he is thankful to still have his other half.
Weapon: Ulf specializes in physical combat, preferring to take out enemies with his flail. He is notoriously bad with magic.
Appearance: Ulf's appearance (http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt304/Ally-Kat722/Ulf.jpg) has not changed as his adventure was interrupted by the arrival of the Heartless.
Ulf and Shiba (http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh43/heavensaria/Ulf.jpg)
Shiba: Shiba is Ulf's partner, a dragon from the Valley of Dragons, protected by the Guardian Drak. After the Heartless attacked, Shiba was sealed - shrinking him to about the size of a parrot. He is capable of an ice breath - a stream of ice that can slow or freeze opponents, depending on how long the stream is focused on them - but in his small form it is not immensely effective. Ulf is searching for a way to restore Shiba to his original size, but until then, he's less than willing to let Shiba out of his sight, because of fear for his safety.

Name: Caim
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Weapon: Kingsblood. As pictured in the Appearance. No element, or magic.
Limit Break 1: Enables Caim to dual-wield any two two-handed weapons without subtracting from their efficiency and use both of their respective abilities.
Enjoys: Battle.
Fears: Losing Angelus (http://that.animeblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/Drakengard/09.jpg)
Appearance: [Caim] (http://www.duose.com/p/2005/0629/35642_6000400000.gif) (The tattoo you see on the right is engraved on his tongue. It is the Pact Seal, which signifies the Pact Price Caim had paid for entering the pact with Angelus: His voice.)
Caim is quite tall, standing at 6’6, well-muscled and broadshouldered, the body trained from birth to be a perfect weapon to its master. Countless battles keep him in shape more than regular exercise, as he has long forgotten the days when he could practice his skill without engaging in a battle. His skin, hidden by the armor and clothes, is heavily scarred, the wound which nearly killed him the greatest one, though invisible due to his clothes: it is on his back, a large, ragged, diagonal scar across the entire torso, which shredded his cuirass as it was inflicted. This is a memorable scar, as it is the one he earned in the battle when he made the Pact with Angelus.
He has an open, lightly tanned face with brown hair which reaches halfway to his shoulders, and black eyes, a grim look usually written in them, the lips pressed together into a line, the very image of determination. His face nearly always wears the same kind of serious look, unless he is angered, which is when he can be seen nearly snarling. Getting a smile out of him is practically impossible. Caim wears black pants and a dark grey shirt, which is overlain by the chome-black cuirass with blue ornamental lines, which covers his chest and back, as well as covering his neck in an iron collar. Both his right and left hand bear a thick material wrapped around them, slightly higher than the elbows, secured in place by two belts each.
These serve as additional armguards, in addition to the ones that are hidden beneath the sleeves, to deflect blows. The only difference between the right and left hand’s armor is that the right bears a black glove, the material best suited to hold a weapon even if it is fully drenched in blood, and the right is left bare, but with a gigantic gauntlet around the hand, which is made of the same material as the cuirass, and ornamented with blue lines in the same way. The sheathes to Kingsblood are secured via a complex belt system directly behind him, on the level of his midsection for optimal access in battle. Caim bears black metal boots with silver clasps the tops of which are hidden by his pants which drop directly over them.
Larger Image: [Caim2] (http://www.rpgfan.com/pics/dod/art-002.jpg)
Caim is also wearing this (http://img191.imageshack.us/my.php?image=helmet.png) helmet.
Skills: Caim was born with a weapon in his hands, and taught to fight from the cradle. As such, over the course of his life, he has mastered every weapon taught to him, finally achieving the rank of ‘Weapon Master’. It did not matter what he wielded anymore, any weapon would have been wielded with utmost skill and efficiency, its full potential revealed in the massacres it would bring fourth: claymores, flamberges, bastard swords, rapiers, sabres, daggers, halberds, spears, battle scythes, swallows, whips, knives, staffs, maces, hammers, bows, axes, and shortswords. However, because of Caim’s heirloom being a sword, he prefers wielding them over other things, but only a bit. The only real other skill would be his warrior’s instinct and his phenomenal physical power.
Personality: Even before his world had been devoured, Caim had not been particularly kind, due to his parents’ brutal deaths, the weight of the responsibility for the Union, and the fact that he had lost his sister to her duty as a Goddess. This had only been furthered as the Union had collapsed and the Empire overran the land, and captured his sister by means of his best friend turned mad traitor. After his sister died, so did many of his companions, none of whom he really cared about, but who still helped him. Just as his rage against the Empire began to lessen, suppressed by the sorrow of losing Angelus to the Goddess Seal, the world ended.
But now, seeing everything he bled, suffered, and worked for crumble to ruins within seconds, the flame of hatred had been relit, burning far greater than ever. But although such grim things turn inside him, Caim is not, in the complete sense of the way, a berserker. He smiles rarely, due to the weight on his shoulders. He is extremely confident in his abilities as a fighter, and it’s not just arrogance. He is intelligent, but rather rash in his actions, sometimes acting without thinking, when something of great importance is happening. When like this, he is brutal and downright merciless, almost enjoying the battle frenzy he is in.
He also has a tendency to treat his allies poorly if they say something which makes him mad. As an example, there was one priest who kept prophesying his sister’s untimely demise, and Caim kicked him for it every time. He is somewhat rough: the usual way to check if someone is alive for Caim is to give them a slight kick in the ribs. That being said, he is extremely loyal, and will not stop even at impossible odds. It doesn’t matter whom the opponent is, and why they are his opponent, or how many of them there are. If you’re in his way, he will remove you from it, be it one man or an army; he is quite used to taking on those.
History: Lord Caim of the Union, brother to the Goddess. It used to mean something, those words. Not anymore. Not since that day. He had awakened up in an alleyway in Traverse Town, grief-stricken and shocked. The Empire took away his sister and best friend, and tried to take his world as well. Now something unknown had succeeded where the Watchers have failed. All of it gone, in an instant. All the fighting, for nothing. Even before, he had bloodthirsty urges, cutting down any enemy, be they young or old, mercilessly, charging into even the most hopeless battle like a berserk, eyes lit by anger.
The only comfort he had received upon waking in this strange new world was discovering he had not been alone: a tiny, shrunk Angelus lay by his side, the great red dragon become the size of a small parrot. Covering his face with the helm he had found just before the end of his world, only empty steel sockets of a metal skull gazed upon the world, the man unable to utter even a single word, shambling about without purpose or knowledge of where he was or what he had to do. After all, what was he to do now, having lost everything, and with nothing to direct his rage at?
Caim is of royal blood, the son of the rulers of a small nation which became the figurehead in the Union’s struggle against the Empire. He and his sister, Furiae, had been children when their parents have been devoured by a black dragon. Since that day, Caim had a deep hatred for dragons which only dissolved during the journey with Angelus. Because of the wartime situation, Caim remained Lord, not King. He and Furiae had eventually become friends with a man named Inuart, to who Caim was like a brother, and who loved Furiae.
Unfortunately, Furiae had been chosen to serve the world as a Goddess, a living seal to keep the evil Gods called Grotesqueries out of the world of Inverse. Fatally wounded in battle, Caim made a pact with Angelus, a dying dragon captured by the Empire: The Pact restored them both to good health, granted Caim immense power, and they routed the troops trying to capture Furiae. Later, the other three Seals holding the Gods have been broken, and Inuart, led by his weak heart and prodded along by the High Priestess of the Watchers, Manah, had joined the Empire under the idea to create a new world where Furiae would be his, a normal woman.
As soon as he crossed sides, he obtained great power, and made a pact with a black dragon, the very same which killed Caim’s parents. But upon obtaining the power to protect Furiae, he had no longer cared about her, the spell only broken when she had killed herself because of Manah’s manipulations. But by them, it was already too late, the two friends now mortal enemies. Eventually, Caim defeated Inuart, who wanted to resurrect Furiae using a Seed of Resurrection, also called a Seed of Destruction, which would have turned her into a monster.
As the High Priestess, the six-year-old Manah, had been defeated and returned to herself from possession by the Gods, the world crumbling, Angelus offered herself as a Goddess Seal. Before disappearing, she told Caim her name, to be the first and only human who ever knew it. But as Caim collapsed on Angelus’s fading body, shedding tears for the first time, the world dissolved, and he found himself in Traverse Town, a tiny unconscious Angelus at his side. Just as the Seal was about to resolve, everything had been destroyed, saving Angelus from eternal torment as the Goddess, but as a price, taking their world away from them.
As soon as he woke, as soon as he realized what had happened, Caim had already decided his course: destruction of all those who had been related to the destruction of his world. Even Angelus, usually the voice of reason calling him back, had agreed to her Pact Partner’s decision. To lose the entire world was much more than losing a few people, or lands, and the price paid by those who had done it would have to be appropriate.

Square Enix character sheet:
Name: Daisuke Bito “Beat”
Game: The World Ends With You
Personality:
Stubborn, hot-tempered, and boisterous, Beat has quite a forceful personality. He angers easily, and can find random and unimportant things irritating. He tends to announce his anger rather loudly and in an explosive manner. If he gets something set in his mind, he can be incredibly hard-headed about it, stubbornly holding onto his ideas. He isn’t usually stubborn about staying angry though. In fact, he doesn’t really hold onto anger at all. For all his hot-tempered-ness, he has a short attention span, and gets over any and all irritation quickly. This is not to say that he will not be regularly irritated by the same thing.
He is very emotional in his loud and hot-tempered way, often making impulsive decisions. He tends to act before he thinks, and goes by what his emotions demand, not really thinking about other factors beforehand. He’s not likely to think about the reasons to do something or not before leaping in, nor is he likely to consider someone else’s reasoning. He is impatient, and gets irritated when people don’t keep up with him. Sadly, that is a common event, as he had nearly limitless energy. He is not particularly violent, though it seems like he may be with all impulsiveness and temper. He would never actually consider hurting someone without having a valid reason, although he may seem to threaten violence. He doesn’t particularly like fighting people, though he does get a thrill out of fighting noise. This is mostly because he loves skateboarding, and enjoys using this skill at any time.
Although Beat projects a tough guy image, he is really a big softie. He doesn’t like anyone to know this, and gets embarrassed and flustered when people figure it out. He cares deeply for his friends, and will sacrifice a great deal to protect them. He is fairly welcoming of people, although they are just as subject to his impulsive temper. It is not hard to become his friend, as long he feels the person has some value and positive character.
History:
Beat grew up in modern day Shibuya, Japan. He had a fairly uneventful childhood, living as a normal kid. He has a little sister, Rhyme, who he had never been very close too. As her brother, he did love her, but he acted uncaring and would often push her away from him. He developed his love of skateboarding early, and easily fell into the skate-boarder stereotype. Beat never really got along with his parents, and as he grew older he started having fights with them more and more frequently. After it got to a point where the fights were nearly constant and always nasty, the hot-tempered Beat left home.
After Beat left home, he wandered, not really sure what to do. Unknown to him, Rhyme had come after him, and was looking desperately for her older brother. She found him, but luck was not on their side. As Beat realized his little sister had come after him, he was also faced with the horrible reality that he was about to loose her. She had ended up in a car’s path, and was in immediate danger of being hit. Beat tried to save her, but in the process, they were both hit by the car and died.
Apparently, all was not over for them though. They both woke up in a strange version of Shibuya, one where no one could see them and strange monsters roamed the streets, unknown by the people wandering around as if everything was normal. They soon learned that they had been shoved into something called the Reapers Game. If they survived till the end of the week, they could be brought back to life or given life in another spirit dimension. If they didn’t make it, their souls would be erased, completely eradicated. Players must play the game in Teams of two, each can hold pins that give them powers with which to protect themselves. Each day the players are given a mission, if they don’t complete it they are erased. If a monster, called noise, kills them, they are erased.
Half way into the first week, Rhyme was killed by the noise after getting purposefully caught in a trap meant for Beat. This left Beat lost, both because he had grown considerably closer to his little sister during their time together, and because he now had no way of surviving at all, seeing as his partner was gone. He ended up approaching the game officials to ask for a chance to continue playing so that he could find a way to save his sister. They gave him that chance, at the cost that he had to join them in their attempts to increase the rate that players were erased. He agreed.
Beat is currently set on finding a way to revive his sister. Although as a Reaper, he is supposed to be erasing players, he actually has no interest in this, not wanting to harm anyone. His goals are to save his sister, avoid having to kill his friends, and survive the game.
Weapon:
Shockwave pin and Skateboard
In the Reapers Game, players acquire pins that grant them special abilities. Beat’s pin gives him the ability to use a shockwave power with his skateboard. The shockwave essentially creates a resonating vibration that radiates outward from movement of the skateboard, almost as if normal vibrations had been enhanced and increased. When manifested in air, the vibrations usually gain an almost physical form and act as a blunt physical force emanating from the skateboard in accordance to whatever movement was performed, and can have a heavy impact on surrounding objects if Beat chooses. They have full ability to force people or objects back, and to damage as any other blunt force. When used on more solid objects, such as the ground, it can make the surface tremble and shake as if from a heavy force.
Beat is very skilled at skateboarding, and has a wide assortment of skills and tricks. He is especially good at jumps, an ability is increased by the fact that he can actually use the shockwave ability to push the skateboard further into the air. The shocks manifested in the air not only have a backlash that can push him upward, but they provide an almost physical surface for him to jump off of. Although he cannot keep this up forever, it grants him a great deal of in-air mobility.
Appearance:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/twewy/images/thumb/2/2e/Twewy-beat2.jpg/250px-Twewy-beat2.jpg
Beat is pretty tall, standing at 6 ft for his 15 years. He is very physically fit, and rather muscular considering that he does not work out extensively. He is very physically active, spending most of his time skateboarding and honing his tricks. More often than not he has scrapes or bruises from a failed attempt at an aerial trick. Both Beat’s facial and body structure are very angular and harsh, appearing very solid and sturdy.
Despite being born in Japan and having Japanese heritage, Beat appears to have European blood in his veins. He has even, mid-tone blue eyes of striking vibrancy. His thick, dirty blonde hair is on the long side for a short hair cut and is very shaggy. It is not usually visible though, as he always wears a hat. His skin is pale and sunburns fairly easily.
His clothing style is pretty simple, a plain white a-shirt and long shorts with sneakers. He does have an interesting selection of accessories, which he is never found without. These include a chain on his shorts, a cloth wristband with chains imbedded in it, and a black chain necklace with a scull figure. He wears an oversized black scull cap with a grey scull on it, the edge of the hat sets his eyes eternally in shadow.

Name: Lulu
Game: Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 (Not progressing that far here.)
Personality: Lulu is as wise as the mages can come. Practical and realistic, highly intelligent and thoughtful, she does not simply submit to the religion or ideas she was taught. She not only easily questions it, but sees it as a political tool and is less damaged by the fact than the more radically faithful Wakka when Yevon fails them in the end. She can be impatient, and like Wakka describes her, "has a short fuse". But is able to assert herself in a calm manner. She manages to put people in their place without carrying the big ego.
History:
Born in Hollow Bastion, Lulu was orphaned by the time she was five through the death of her parents. Lulu grew up with other orphans including Wakka and Wakka's younger brother, Chappu, and shortly after, Yuna. All taught the teachings of Yevon that believes if one follows its teachings, humanity will be atoned for its sins. As they grew older, Chappu and Lulu became romantically involved. Chappu decided to join the Crusaders in their cause to defeat Sin, a great monstrosity that continually manifests to torment humanity in a never ending cycle of death and rebirth. When the Crusaders joined the Al Bhed people and consented to using machina at an attempt to destroy Sin for good, Chappu died in the battle and his body washed ashore. The man considered proposing to Lulu. Brutally heartbroken, she is especially hard on Wakka because of the death of Chappu. She is still clearly bitter on the subject.
Raised in the arts of Black Magic, she is well versed in controlling elemental spells and many others. There is no doubt of her niche in magic. Her skills have established her as a valuable Guardian, a person who devotes their abilities in helping a summoner reach the end of their pilgrimage, "Summoners are practitioners of a sacred art, sworn to protect the people of Yevon." A journey which takes the summoner able to retrieve all Aeons, powerful entities in order to summon the ultimate Final Aeon . The Final Aeon is thought necessary to destroy Sin and bring the Calm, temporary peace from Sin for a limited number of years.
Lulu has extensive experience in her guardianship abilities having guarded two summoners previously. Both pilgrimages ended abruptly. One of death, the other reconsidering their pilgrimage entirely, journey ultimately ending. Yuna's decision to become a summoner like her father would make this Lulu's third guardianship role. Though mostly critical of others, Lulu allows Yuna who is like a younger sister to her, to make her own choices without criticism. Since Yuna entrusted Lulu with being one of her guardians, she feels obligated to protect Yuna till the very end, deterring anything that might get in the way of the pilgrimage.
Tidus enters the story when he is found by Wakka, washed ashore. Tidus is a prized Blitzball star athlete and was attacked by Sin during one of his games. Sin transported him a thousand years into the future in which Tidus is shocked that the once great civilization he once resided stands but in mere ruins. But the sport that Tidus is familiar with, Blitzball is still alive and well and is also played by Wakka.
Trouble arises when the village becomes worried Yuna has taken too long to reemerge from the temple on the island, which houses one of many Cloister of Trials, a test the summoner must partake in order to acquire an aeon. The area is restricted only to a summoner and her guardians however the heroic Tidus decides to run in to try and save the summoner while solving the Cloister of Trials on his own. He solves the trial and Wakka finds him to tell him he won't be punished too badly for his intrusion. Wakka also reveals that he is another one of Yuna's guardians. Yuna emerges safely much to Lulu's dismay for Tidus' interruption.
Fast forward deep into the pilgrimage, Lulu has never been on a journey that has endured as long as Yuna's. The team attempts to bring an Eternal Calm, one that will last forever without the rebirth or existence of Sin. Their abandonment of the Yevon tradition brings about a new method that doesn't require the sacrifice of the summoner nor the Final Aeon and Sin is successfully relinquished forever. But an even more eternal force, Darkness, has separated Lulu from her comrades. Escaping abruptly to Traverse Town she awaits the day when she will run into her party. But she doesn't push away the possibility that none of them survived. But she still hangs on for hope as one can never really know too much about the mysterious darkness.
Weapon:
Moogle Doll - A stuffed animal resembling that of a Moogle. It can attack physically but is extremely weak in that regard. Its primary use is to heighten Lulu's magical attributes.
Appearance:
Concept Drawing (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w254/robouprising/10-lulu-a.jpg)
Gasp CGI! ( http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w254/robouprising/wallpaper-final-fantasy-x-lulu001-1.jpg)
Lulu is adorned in quite the dress. Seemingly inspired by the gothic aesthetic, it is heavily detailed. Far different from the black mage staple of dress, Vivi (from Final Fantasy IX and Kingdom Hearts II for example). Mainly soft black in color and topped with a corset with a caramel fur ruff. The sleeves and skirt trimmed with intricate flower decor. But one of its most striking points are the numerous overlapping belts.

Game: Dragon Quest VIII
Personality: At the first glance, Angelo would be an easygoing person to get along with. He doesn't ask to much, except for fun and amusement. If not for his serious attitude in cleaning up the town from Heartless, it would be easy to assume that he has no care for the events going on around him. Despite liking to be social and have fun, Angelo still keeps a lot to himself. He is concerned for the well-being of others. He just doesn't like to say it out loud. Prefers to show it through his actions and deeds. Other than that, he likes to contemplate privately about the meaning of life and other things. It wont be surprising if he showed an occasional act of wisdom every now and then.
History: Orphaned at a young age, like many boys in the same situation, Angelo was sent to Maelle Abbey. Suddenly whisked to a foreign environment, young Angelo was alone and sacred. It was then an older boy knelt down in front of him, sympathetically asking the reason of his crying. Angelo replied that he missed his parents. The boy immediately understood that he lost his family. He comforted Angelo, said that the abbey is now his new family, everyone here is in the same boat, and that he will become one of his brothers. Since the death of his parents, little Angelo smiled for the first time.
Alas, the happiness was short-lived. Moments after the older boy knew Angelo's identity, he spurned on him. It turns out that the boy was Angelo's elder half-sibling, Marcello. Years ago, Angelo's father had an affair with a maid. Since Angelo's father had no heir at the time, the aristocratic family put up with it. Once Angelo was born, as the son of the proper wife and rightful heir, Marcello and his mother were forced to leave without a penny. Marcello's mother died not long afterwards, hence he ended up at the abbey.
Marcello grew to resent Angelo and his father. He studied and trained hard to become an exemplar Knight Templar. After Angelo came to the abbey, he grew spiteful towards him. There was never anything right about Angelo in his eyes.
Angelo was naturally gifted in the sixth sense, he was also quite talented with the rapier. But due to the rift between Marcello, he became rebellious. Eventually he grew up to be a troublemaker, not only at the abbey itself, but also the local town. He has a habit of cheating in gambling and wooing the village girls, which has caused an outcry a number of times.
One day, the mad jester Dhoulmagus, using powerful shadow arts, invaded Maelle Abbey and murdered Abbot Francisco, then vanished from the Templars' sight. Angelo wasn't convinced that the jester was completely gone. He could still sense the dark presence lingering nearby. Angelo went off alone, following the trail. When he finally got to his destination, Dhoulmagus was nowhere in sight. Instead, he was confronted by shadowy creatures with large, yellow eyes. Outnumbered, Angelo became weary during the fight, and lost his balance, falling through the nearby portal.
At first, he thought was in heaven, as Traverse Town has no shortage on pubs and beautiful women. He soon found out that he is one of the survivors of the Heartless invasion, which is spreading throughout the world. Traverse Town became a refuge of those who survived the destruction of their home worlds. At loss to what do to do next, Angelo spends most of his time getting to know the locals at pub, while sustaining himself with the Heartless bounties.
Weapon: Rapier
Appearance:

Perhaps as an act of defiance, Angelo wears a red Knight Templar uniform instead of the standard blue. His attire was quite simple, possessing no additional embroidery or decoration. It suggests that he was probably quite low in ranks. His rapier is hung on his belt, which is strapped diagonally on his waist.

Name of Character: Aurora Simarron
Age of Character: 16
Weapon of choice: Aurora is vaguely familiar with the use of a katana, and she makes the throwing of kunai a 'hobby' in the same way that others might throw darts or even knives at targets on the back of their doors.
Enjoys:
- Singing: Aurora has always wanted to be a member of a choir and it's not hard to agree that she would excell.
- Reading: Though the normal romance story or political adventure may catch her attention, Aurora's favorite genre is actually historical fiction - she is fascinated with the past of the world and with how fickle and delicate it can be, when looked at correctly. [lulz.]
- Learning
- Magic
Fears:
- Darkness. As much as she tries to hide it, more than about five minutes in utter blackness invokes pure terror in Aurora. Seeing five feet in front of her is only a little better. A good sight radius of ten feet will keep her from freaking out too badly.
- Having no friends.
- Failing/losing friends she does get.
- Spiders. Snakes, rats, beetles, even cockroaches Aurora can handle. Spiders rattle her up. Any spider larger than her thumbnail will make her scream. She does NOT like spiders.
- Most of all, Aurora fears 'a cage', a la Eowyn from Lord of the Rings - she fears the possibility that she will never amount to anything.
Appearance: Aurora is tall, and quite beautiful - she always has been. She's around 5'9", neatly symmetrical in shape and tone, graceful in build, skin flowing like water around her form. Her no-nonsense straight, elbow-length hair is a very unusual color - naturally, it is deep purple, but she dyes it to a more lavender shade (dye doesn't do very much to it) most of the time; her eyebrows remain deep purple. Her eyes themselves are an electric lime green, giving her a shocking, vibrant and sometimes forceful presence; the idea that this girl is somehow normal is usually the farthest thing from the onlooker's mind upon first meeting her.
Aurora knows better than to try to look normal in her dress. She wears short-sleeved shirts with long, purple, transparent stockings most of the time, and long skirts to match her blouse, both of which vary in color and style depending on the day. Aurora is not particularly averse to dressing up or down for any given situation - she enjoys elegant dresses, but not so much as to go through the trouble of wearing them all the time, and she doesn't mind changing out her gloves and skirts for real gloves and jeans when the occasion calls for it.
Personality: Aurora feels naturally special (history explains a bit more) and it's very important to her, in the back of her mind, to stand out and make something of that specialness. Though she tries to stay modest and simple, her mind wanders constantly to dreams of a greater self - a common theme is the bearer of the Keyblade. She finds these dreaming habits extremely unhealthy and distressing. Until she has a good reason to feel that she might actually amount to something as serious as her dreams suggest, she does her best to aspire to the best of the mundane.
Aurora is a fairly competitive girl. The idea that someone might be better than her at something, when there is no obvious reason for that to be the case (more training, more experience, etc), tends to grate on her nerves, and she tends to have problems turning down a challenge in any form, particularly from people her age. She seems to get more satisfaction out of the challenge than winning it, but she doesn't like losing regardless.
Aurora tries to be kind in all that she does, knowing that just because she's unique and unusual doesn't mean that she's the only one with the right to be so. Sometimes she is a little strained on kindness - particularly when it comes to a contest - but in normal situations, she's the girl who will rush to help you pick up groceries, who will offer a sad-looking stranger a smile, and who will step in and stick up for those being bullied. Strangers are often intimidated by her appearance, but once one gets to know her, they find that she is an invaluable friend... most of the time.
Aurora does have a mean streak - and it's saved special for anyone who steps on her pride. She is very proud of who she is and what she is, and anyone trodding on it, even accidentally, can expect to come under fire from her. She can be quite the bitch when roused to it (and has made herself cry on some occasions because of it).
Recent events have greatly dampened her dreaming spirit. (See history.)
History: Aurora's family, the Simarrons, are descendants of a race of beings who had great magical power and very interesting physical traits (as per Aurora's hair and eyes). Even before they fled to Traverse Town, their bloodline had broken down and the magic power was all but gone. The women in Aurora's family had, for a few generations now, always been blessed with pride, independence, and a striking personality, but never had it manifested so strongly as it has in Aurora - not just her personality but also her body itself. Aurora's family believes that she may be the rebirth of the race she comes from, though this is a little odd because her family doesn't know too much about the race itself anymore.
Aurora has always done well with studies of any kind, and has managed to balance those studies and her peers carefully in her life, under the constant weight of pressure of her own self-expectations. She has practiced with magic - which is stupid to say, because she hasn't actually managed to cast anything yet, but she's proud that she understands the language at all so far.
Last year, Aurora's group of 'friends' from her childhood finally came forward to confront Aurora about her 'demanding' and 'superior' attitude. Aurora was shocked and heartbroken that her friends felt this way - and not only that, but had waited so long to say anything about it. However, before that, she was furious, because her friends unwisely worded things and when Aurora began to get defensive, they effectively told Aurora that she was nothing special at all. Aurora exploded in prideful wrath and all but kicked the other girls out of her life. When she realized what she had done, however, Aurora realized that what they had said concerning her attitude was true, and she went into a state of brooding that has not fully ended yet.
Name: Alexandra | Lady Stardust
Age of Character: Sixteen
Weapon: Her Body [via mixed Martial Arts] or a hoe.
Enjoys: Winning, David Bowie, The '80's, Glam Rock, The Martian Arachnids
Fears: Being a gang member, and leader of a gang at that, she has a profound, not necessarily fear, but distaste for police officers.
Appearance: Here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v309/despair_6/202303.jpg) she is in her normal wear. She looks as though she'll start singing about Pulling Up To Her Bumper in no time eh?
Personality: Alexandra is the leader of a street gang, so naturally she's, what her friends would call, a "hardass". Never one to miss the opportunity to crack an joke or drop an insult, Alexandra thrives in animosity. When accompanied by her peers and fellow gang members, she is free to jest and make references to Ziggy Stardust, but in the thick of battle she says little apart from threats. She is what you'd expect from a hardened gang leader - a belligerent asshole.
History: Now, Alexandra's history is rich in eccentricities. She took the reins of criminal activity at the age of fifteen, galloping down the streets with her posse, gardening tools scraping the cobblestone. Traverse Town, being a sort of pub for those whose worlds had been destroyed, introduced her to the world of Glam Rock and most importantly, David Bowie. She took to his "style" and his cryptic lyrics, eventually modeling her dress and aesthetics with those of the Earthly 80's.
She stood out in Traverse Town by the time these interests manifested themselves at age fourteen. She was taunted here and there, but it was not until one boy had insulted her that she formed a gang. The "first mate" of the Hibiscus gang, Kay, had mocked her style of dress - at the time being her Ziggy Stardust t-shirt and her leotard underneath. She swore revenge, and has from that point on harbored a personal vendetta against Hibiscus, striving to uproot the source of such shame.
In order to rise through the ranks, she began challenging gang leaders from other gangs and recruiting their right hand men at each turn, giving her numbers to fuel her vengeance. By the time her member count had reached the hundreds, the prized street fighter gave name to her gang, second only to Hibiscus - The Martian Arachnids. As more and more wanderers come into Traverse Town, wearied and carrying foreign charms and attire, Alexandra has been changing her modes of operation from petty theft and extortion to dominating the Black Market by selling these foreign wears, stolen from the guests.

Name of Character: Vern Kresoveer
Age of Character: 16 yrs old
Weapon of choice: Highwind Longsword Mark I-A special semi-automatic pistol crafted by Cid Highwind. It's appearance resembles the Desert Eagle, but it's oddly lighter in weight. It has a .41 magnum cartridge.
Enjoys: Target practice; dreaming.
Fears: Being helpless.
Appearance: Easily described as ordinary, but a notable sophistication in fashion. Casual wear usually consists of an unbuttoned dress shirt (preferably dark colored) over a black t-shirt turtle neck. Black slim cargo pants with connected leather belts around the thighs that seem to have no practical use, and black steel toe boots. Accessories include light elbow pads (hidden under the dress shirt) and gloves. He stands at a frail 5'3". His hair is naturally black with long bangs, and he has taken a liking into dying it dark blue. As much as he hates them, he dons a pair of round spectacles over his sickly golden-green eyes. During his night work, he dons a white mask, a body suit, and a long white scarf as a costume.
Personality: Vern has a habit of unintentionally deceiving others on first impressions. At first, he presents himself to be a timid youth. In reality, he is just shy and he often attempts to compensate for what he believes it to be insensitivity. In many cases this causes him to be overly-interactive with strangers, making him appear too eager for attention. Deep down, Vern is very lonely. He doesn't have many friends, and even they find him difficult to understand. This doesn't remove the fact that he is kind-hearted, and looks out for others before himself.
History: Vern was born in Traverse Town, a place that became a hot spot for refugees from worlds that were lost to oblivion. At an early age, he started to dream of traveling to different worlds, wanting the thrill and adventure of seeing them all. Being just an ordinary boy, he didn't have much to hope for, but he never stopped thinking about the possibilities. If there was some way for me to get out, he thought, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Though he dreamed, he would never tell a soul of how desperate he was. He kept it to himself, fearing the humiliation if anyone found out about his growing obsession. This in turn contributed to his shyness, lacking the confidence to even face other people. For a while, he was a depressed loner, with hardly any friends to seek out for help. Nothing seemed interesting in life anymore, save for that impossible dream of going to worlds. Late one night he witnessed a battle between a lone warrior and a legion of Heartless. A spectacle that was uncommon, because a night curfew was enforced due to spontaneous heartless activity. In the dead of night he watched as the man gave everything he had to rid the town of the creatures. In his last stand, the wielder perished. Inspired by his self-sacrifice Vern had decided that he too would do whatever it takes to protect his home. Since then he became a solo Heartless exterminator, cleaning up his town late at night. It became a self-fulfilling hobby that he felt had given him a new purpose in life. It also allowed him to play super hero while masquerading during his night shifts. But like his undying desire to visit other worlds, this new job of his would remain a secret.

Now that the interruption is over, the first announcement:
The Roleplay will be up Tuesday, July 7th.
For those of you who were in the roleplay previous, the first post won't be too different, only changing things for continuity issues.
EDIT: And for clarification all Final Fantasy characters are from Hollow Bastion, known as Radiant Garden in Kingdom Hearts 2, because of what it was.
The fall of Radiant Garden happened 7 years ago. All Final Fantasy characters should know plenty about the heartless, and know the town well. It should also be known as Hollow Bastion at this time.
This thread will continue to change as updates on history and continuity are established.
EDIT2:
Original Characters should know only that Heartless have come to Traverse Town recently and are a menace, but should know plenty about them. They've been there for about a year and seem to be looking for something.
You don't know what.
If anyone has any questions, ask them here, via PM, or IM.
One last edit:
All Final Fantasy Characters should know each other!
They all lived on the same world, and should know of each other if not be great friends, besides, being in Traverse Town for seven years will have made them comrades, just know that not all the lovable characters made it, and you may see them on your journey.
