Hello, designers.

I was recently approached about a concept, and am currently in the process of designing the layout for an engagement party invitation. The theme is bold, and must be done in black and white.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good possible textures, texts, or just general designing to help me get started.
Your input would be greatly appreciated.

The best way to go with texts is to do basic texts like times new roman, calibri and such and just tweak them, play around with sizes and such.

As for textures, I don't recommend them for wedding invitations ;]
Vectoring would be the way to go

Mm, I'd actually say go for a Sans Serif font (Arial, Helvetica) rather than a Serif font (like Times New Roman), but that's just me. Just something simple and clean is best for this kind of dealio. Mess around with the kerning & alignment also. Along with that, keep the design clean and uncluttered.
