I know this sounds kidish, but I really like Kung Fu Panda! XD It's my favorite animated flick. I also like Jurassic Park. (I met the director of the third) And you can't beat classics like E.T. and Star Wars.

Uhm, I don't really have a best movie ever, but a really good movie I've seen recently was Rachel Getting Married.
I think Anne Hathaway did a very good job.
And the story was depressing at times, but it also had hilarious moments.
So, I recommend.

Star Wars saga (except for Clone Wars, blegh), PotC trilogy, Labyrinth (the Jim Hensen movie from the 80's, not Pan's Labyrinth), Transformers 1 and 2, Phonebooth, Derailed, Alien, Aliens (the third and fourth "Alien" movies sucked), War of the Worlds (2005 Spielberg version), ALL the animated Disney movies from the 90's, Harry Potter movies, ALL the Pixar movies (except Cars...that sucked), Jurassic Park trilogy, Spirited Away, Tokyo Godfathers, Titanic, ALL of Tim Burton's movies, Indiana Jones series, Signs, The Sixth Sense, Independence Day (BEST ALIEN INVASION MOVIE EVER!), E.T., The Invasion (the movie with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig), Star Trek (the new one), Men in Black 1 and 2, Mr. Limpet, The Day the Earth Stood Still (not the new one, that sucked), Jaws, The Time Machine (the old one, cuz the new one sucked), The Golden Compass, both Chronicles of Narnia movies, Monster House (shut up, it's not as stupid as they make it out to be), Lilo & Stitch, Brother Bear, Emperor's New Groove, Terminator series, Resevoir Dogs, Tropic Thunder, Donnie Brasco, Armageddon (did I spell that right?), I Robot, FF: The Spirits Within (amazing for a sci-fi movie, but not so good for a FF movie), FFVII: Advent Children (oh, this one was certainly inevitable), Dr. Strangelove, Forest Gump, Shrek 1 and 2 (if you say that you actually "liked" or..."loved" Shrek the Third, then I am disgusted with you), 007: Casino Royale, Predator 1 and 2, AVP, Space Jam, Hoodwinked, Gran Torino (amazing movie), Burn After Reading, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Role Models, The Hangover, No Country for Old Men

I recommend ALL of the movies above. Have fun watching them! :D

but their are more than 3 books and the Hobit is which is apart of the series is being made into a movie so its a series not a trilogy

Actually, he is right and you are wrong. It doesn't matter if the hobit is in the same realm, it is still a completely different book that takes place during a different time. There are more than JUST those four as well. There were many other books written after that took place in the same setting, but they still stand as different books.

Does it have a few of the same characters? Yes, but 3 that have already been made are still their own trilogy.

Other than that, 28 days was good and the sequel better. But, the way the sequel gets the infection started off makes me turn off every time. Omg i could just beat the F*** out of the dad infected or not. Seriously, if i had met him one on one it would be a bit scary but i would still beat the crap out of him. Till he's dead yeah but that's what he would get for doing something so stupid. Stupid stupid.

I'm going to try and list movies I don't think people have listed yet. Anyway, here goes:

Io non ho paura (I'm Not Scared) - An extremely stunning Italian film with incredible music and visuals without the use of special effects. It's beautiful and suspenseful. Is it scary? Not necessarily. I highly recommend it.

Elephant - Really do like this film. Friends showed me this. Addresses high school shootings but it ain't some documentary. Does Columbine ring any bells?

The Motorcycle Diaries - Spanish film (and yes completely in Spanish) and it's not about motorcycles really. Wish it had a better title. It's about Che, you know, that Spanish revolutionary guy.

Wedding Date: it isn't a very well known movie but if you are into chick flicks (I am a hopeless romantic) then you would really like it.

V For Vendetta: loved this movie. there is some romance but basically it is a great mystery.

The Dark Knight: you just have to love the Joker lol and it has quite a bit of action.

My Sister's Keeper: this was a very touching movie. i don't know anyone who didn't cry when they saw that movie.

Yes Man: i suppose i am just looking for a comedy to suggest lol it was an ok film but i think it could have been a little better.
