I laughed when I saw it. And look at Mario's keyblade...it looks like the people who created this article tried to create it themselves. The key part of the blade is a little messed up. But I give the writers props for trying to think of something creative. :cool:

When my friend informed me of this, I think a few of my brain cells literally died.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge addict/fan of Kingdom Hearts (hooked from the first trailer), but it just didn't feel like 3 things already huge on their own(FF, Disney, and then Mario) would mesh without some major holes in the plot and continuum.

I had a friend give me an alternate link where I didn't see Mario holding a Keyblade, and I'd heard from other people that they were considering adding people from different franchises in, so I actually thought maybe they were considering it. If I'd seen him with a Keyblade, I would've immediately discarded the link.
Not to mention I didn't know EGM ran jokes of any kind. I'm going to give my friend a nice kick in the pants for feeding that link to me as real news.
