What kinda of music/bands are you people into!? Discuss them here!!!

Being a musician on a music course, I'm very open-minded and listen to a helluva lot of different types and genres of music. Being the sad guy I am, my favourite has to be The Black Mages!! Excellent band who do rock and heavy metal versions of Final Fantasy and Dark Chronicle Battle Music lol. I absolutely love em :)

Other than that I'm quite a big fan of Nightwish, and thousands of other bands, but those I'll name specifically lol.

Go to bluelaguna.net to find some Black Mages music :) The band itself includes Nobuo Uematsu and he composed all the arrangements lol. It's absolutely legendary!

Edit: I play keyboard, piano, penny whistle, flute, sax, cello, violin and acoustic. Used to play recorder, but I don't have the time ^^

I like most genres of music except country. Heres my long list of favourite singers and bands:Wolfmother, Evermore, Franz Ferdinand, Utada Hikaru, No Doubt, Nirvana, Midnight Oil, Foo Fighters, Korn, Gwen Stefani, The Doors, Coldplay, The Killers, Jamiroquai, Magic Dirt, John Butler Trio, Blondie, AFI and Bob Sinclair. I've probably got loads more but I can't remember them right now.

i like rock music the most....i guess i would have to say evanescence is my favorite band...and for artists i would say avril lavigne and utada hikaru....and i can only play the clarinet but i want to learn how to play the guitar.

I played violin until Grade 1 but gave up. I used to play recorder and tin whistle, and does kazoo count? lol I'm Geade 6 Piano and self-taught guitar.

I like a lot of stuff from classical (old and contemporary) to rock-alternative, JPop/JRock, even some opera. The Black Mages are cool too. :P

I like All american Rejects, Story of the year, Utada Hikaru, Linkin Park, The Trapt, and Fray. Mostly rock bands, I used to play the sax and trumpet.

Me i'm open minded when it comes to music, anything that sounds good to me whether it's rock, rap, or country i like.
Ps: my ace bands are linkin park, system of a down, paparoach, lost prophets, and i guess Korn have some good songs. oh and the artists i like are eminem, jay z, and stevie wonder..ect! :D

I like old school, Like Led Zep, Metallica... That stuff, and I hate rap... and I like Slipknot (Vol 3: Subliminal Verses ONLY)

You're not the only one :) I'm sad enough to have quite a few RPG soundtracks and rearrangements - the Final Fantasy games (with a lot of rearrangement cds, for example Potion 1 and 2), Kingdom Hearts I and II, Dark Chronicle (and Premium Arrange), Arc: Twilight of the Spirits, the Best of Sega Volumes, and a few more I can't remember right now off the top of my head.

Can't forget both the Black Mages albums though - I love em so much. :)

Well I definitely prefer the music in Kingdom Hearts II (mainly the theme from Deep Dive as it was used throughout the game) to the original. I'm really hoping the extended secret ending will also have awesome music to be used in KH3.

I pretty much like rock, pop, and country(but mostly rock!). I hate rap and that hip-hop stuff.

KH2 did have a cool soundtrack. Just hope KH3 will have a good one too.

I'd love to learn how to play a musical instrument, the only thing I can play is the keyboard and piano, but only cause we learnt how in high school. I haven't touched them in about 3 years. If I could pick one to learn, it'd have to be the drums.
