Does anyone else watch this? I really got into it this year (i watched all five seasons in about a week =P) and it is probably the funniest program i've ever seen.

It's such a good show! I rarely see it, I've only seen...maybe...10 episodes...but everytime I laugh the whole way through.

I watched the original before the US version and even though it is a remake, it is so much better and only a few episodes are based on the UK one.
The British version is extremely funny, and equally funny, if a little more awkward. A lot more sympathy is felt for the main character (The equivalent of Michael). It was written by Ricky Gervais, so if you know of him, it really uses all of his awkward, cringy and sarcastic qualities.
I find both absolutely hilarious in their own ways, but that's because I enjoy both British and American comedy. Wizard show, man.

=P.
I just think the characters are better in the american one, Gareth is just not as funny as Dwight (Dwight is a purple belt).

But those two have been written as different characters, you know? Dwight consists of lots of things people find funny; generally random stories & stupidity, y'know?

Oh really? I always thought that Jim was based on Tim and Michael was based on David etc. Well you learn something new everyday =).

They are BASED on the characters, but they've been written for a different type of humour.

I LOVE the office. I don't want to be a poopyface but thtis show is so much funnier for me because I'm from the Scraton area. :P All the jokes they make are of real places and they are soo true. You guys should on down for Office con so you can check out all the places mentioned on the show. You won't regret it.

I've a few episodes of both series...I don't really seek it out. It's not that it's not funny, indeed, in the UK version, the jellied stapler is hilarious, I've just seen aspects of it (especially David Brent's awkwardness of character) done better elsewhere (Gareth Cheesemen of Coogan's Run, for example.
However, one thing I do like about it is that the US remake remains as good as the original, which is nice ^^
