Sort of reminds me of The Last Samurai, which was an excellent film.

They don't put his brains in a actual alien. They use some type of technology (that you see in the trailer) to basically make an alien that he can control (think the matrix) and they are called "Avatars", hence the name of the movie.

Vaugely reminds me of the plot to The Host. This seems to be much more directed to Scifi and male audiences, though.

Then again, I kind of find it hilarious. The action scenes in the Avatar trailer look like crap too.
