Since i'm not going to be here this Labor Day Weekend; I best do this now.

The point of this thread is that it's a personal one on one recommendation of what members here on the forum may be interested in.

For the first post I'll have only a few people listed because there are very few of among the KH3 that i think I have a accurate assessment of their likes and dislikes.

Other than that, It runs on a system of Recommending three titles. One will be a webcomic, another a manga, and the last one a traditional comic. That way it would be a fair objective recommendations.

Well now i'll continue with the List:

Emily the Penguin:

I recommend for the Web Comic the Power Puff Girl Doujinshi

http://ppg.snafu-comics.com/comics/040118_ppg.jpg

It's cute and fun while it has a great manga art style. It won a web comic award that i can't remember but it's good trust me.

http://ppg.snafu-comics.com/index.php?comic_id=0

Manga i'm not sure what you maybe into but i think you'll like

Detective Conan
http://www.onemanga.com/Detective_Conan/

http://pagesperso-orange.fr/yukikoworld/film1.jpg

It's known as case closed in the states but it's a really good manga and anime for that matter. It' concentrates on murders and detective work but i think you will like it. Btw, the first case was the perfect murder. Just only if she didn't show any emotion.

Traditional comic
http://i27.tinypic.com/n4ul1h.jpg

RUNAWAYS

I know i have recommended this to you before but for those who don't know it's about a group of kids that find out their parents are more than what they seem and they runaway like the Title of the book. Btw, i love that cover.

Forgotten Memory:

Web Comic: Devil Wake
http://www.zudacomics.com/files/covers/962_224x168.jpg

The Synopsis Reads (and in better words i could ever put)

It’s been thirteen years since the Last Pandemic. No one knows where it came from, but it changed the world as it spread like wildfire in areas with major international traffic: London, Paris, New York, and L.A. In the blink of an eye, the cities were filled with rabid, blood-thirsty undead. Small nuclear weapons were used on large populations in hopes of containing the infection, but only resulted in further destruction and despair. In the end, only those lucky few living in the middle of nowhere with a stockpile of ammunition had a fighting chance. Now, pockets of humanity endure in the flyover states of rural America, waging a constant war for survival. To make matters worse, the undead enemy is beginning to evolve, showing signs of intelligence. In this dangerous landscape, a lone woman known only as Omaha wanders with her trusty horse and a pair of samurai swords, waging her own private war against impossible odds. For years she has stayed away from human settlements in order to avoid facing her mysterious past. However, along the way she accidentally befriends a young boy from the small camp of Hovenweep in Southern Colorado. Will her secret past finally catch up to her? Will she travel to the rumored sacred city of Gehenna where she might find lasting sanctuary against the undead? This is a perilous journey across post-apocalyptic America where there will be death around every corner and surprises at every turn.

It features a strong Female protagonist and it has beautiful yet morbid art direction/story. I can't recommend it enough to you Nikki.

http://www.zudacomics.com/devils_wake

Traditional Comic:

Batman: The Man Who Laughs

http://www.dccomics.com/media/product/8/3/8332_400x600.jpg

I know how much you love the Joker so i thought in case you missed that i recommend you a Year One Story of The Joker by Ed Brubaker (the main currently running the critical Acclaimed Captain America comic).

It's number 22 of the top 25 best batman graphic novels and IGN speaks rather well of it.

Burnt Lettuce (this one is going to be fun)

Webcomic: Blood Hunter

http://www.danielgovar.com/linked/blood_hunter_1600.jpg

This comes from you telling me that you love Hellsing as your number one Manga. And i can see you are a romantic. Well as i think i am; I'm more about focusing on the unrequited part but i digress.

Well i can't remember this having a lot of romanticism but it focuses greatly on character interactions. It's riveting and also legal to read online unlike hellsing lol. Also, it's about vampires like hellsing and i know you will enjoy.

http://zudacomics.com/node/592

Manga: Kuchibiru Tameiki Sakurairo

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a2/Kuchibiru_Tameiki_Sakurairo_cover.jpg/230px-Kuchibiru_Tameiki_Sakurairo_cover.jpg

All you need to know that Milk Morinaga made this. Yes, the mangaka behind girlfriends.

http://www.mangafox.com/manga/kuchibiru_tameiki_sakurairo/

Click there to know more about the stories because the manga itself is a collection of One Shots stories.

Traditional Comics: Strangers in Paradise

http://i25.tinypic.com/2nby44n.jpg

It's a the american Equivalent of Girlfriends. It's not as cutesy though but it's more meaningful i think. Your not going to find this online sadly but it's one of the greatest LBGT comics of all time. (emphasis on Girl Pairing) Their selling the complete 90 issues in one book for 150 dollars. I wish i had that money but you can buy pocket editions for 10 bucks on amazon.

I love it from what i read and i think i like the western sensibilies that the writer brings and the environment its in better than girlfriends. If you ever find yourself in a comic book story or on amazon. Look it up k?

Zai (know i do this because i Hate you and i should be going but i'm going to finish this first XD)

Webcomic: Bottle of Awesome

http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/dcbofaad.jpg

http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/botlawsm_zuda_00001.jpg
Yes it's that awesome.

Anyways ZAI; i know you're like the person that has the shortest attention span when it comes to reading and it's like perfect for you lol. Seriously though it's really good and there is only 27 pages atm. You can read it all in one sitting and you'll be good. You'll be hook though and be like YOYOCOOl how dare you make me wait like a single page a week? XD

But here what's it's about:

This is a story about a boy named Billy Butterman, a loser, a putz - what have you, just trying to get through grade nine. High school is a total nightmare. All the cool guys at pick on him, chicks don't dig him and everyone at the school calls him "Butterpants," because he had bladder control problems till he was twelve. That is, till the day he finds a hobo in an alley. Billy notices the bum has a full bottle that he’s not drinking from and the bum tells him it is because the bottle is full of awesome and that a a sip will make him awesome as well. He warns the boy that a person can get too awesome, but will he listen?

Manga: SGT. Frog

http://www.homemademech.com/Uploads/Mreview/73i.jpg

It's Hilarious it's random and you need to read it Zai. No But's or If's about it. It's about a space frog who comes to Earth and attempts to take over the world XD. But he stuck with these two kids lol. It's really good and check it out.

http://www.mangafox.com/manga/keroro_gunsou/

me and my friends back in the day actually look forward more to reading this than Naruto. Trust me, it's that good.

Traditional Comic:

Ultimate Spider-Man
http://www.jkrweb.com/comics/images/ultimate-spider-man_sm.jpg

This one was pretty hard coming up with you and i just took a random pick from one of my favorites. It's a very good re-imaging of spiderman for the 21st century and it's a favorite among comic book fans. It's a book i recommend to anyone and you should look for a copy in local book stores. I bought my volume 1 of it in a half price book store matter of fact. Amazon also sells it for real cheap. Check it out.

Umm i'm running out of time put so sorry Lasci that i didn't get to you. Also, i take request from anyone to have me make them a recommendation list. Also, for those i already posted, you can ask me to make another list as many as you want though those that haven't gotten one get priority though.

Some Quick Shots: I recommend to Oddity Scott Pilgrim (which is going to made in to a movie :D) because it's funny and i know he'll love the art style. Torrent it now.

http://meaninglessguy.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/scottpilgrim_cast.jpg

P.S: For those who want a list; please post it here http://kingdomhearts3.org/showthread.php?p=1454057#post1454057 .

Well that link is a guide to what i want to know and just click view full thread and then post according to what you read XD

Thanks for the mention. I'll post a couple of my comments regarding some of your recommendations.

For ForgottenMemory, I implore her to pick up Mad Love (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_Love_%28comic%29) if she already hasn't. I've never gotten a chance to read it, but I've heard nothing but praise for the comic. It's also very much related to The Animated Series, what with the art and the people behind the comic being from the TV show itself.

To Zai and anyone else considering Ultimate Spiderman, it's definitely an entertaining read. I haven't devoted myself to reading a lot of the series, but from what I have seen it's a very interesting, new(er) take on an old concept. Pick it up if you're a comic enthusiast.

And, to steal the topic a little bit, I have a couple of recommendations for anyone else who stumbles upon this. If you're not afraid of graphic and explicit content, MPD Psycho and Leviathan can be good mind "screw" reads. In regards to online webcomics, I've always been an avid fan of Chugworth Academy. Good comedy, though it tends to be a little bit dirty. Misfile (http://www.misfile.com/index.php?page=1) isn't too bad, either. It tells the story of a car enthusiast that is turned into a girl by a twist of fate. I haven't really read it for a good year or two. Order of the Stick is good for D&D geeks like myself. Loserz was a gem, though I don't think you can even find it anymore.

Dano the Mano

You said you're not really big on lots of comics, so this was kind of tricky with basically just Naruto and Avatar as references. But, as a fan of those myself, i have a pretty good idea, I just hope this is accurate.

Webcomic(s)!

http://www.justinbevans.com/art/senior-thesis/final/08-sprite_radd.jpg

Kid Radd (http://home.att.net/~miller.daniel.r/index.htm). This one is a bit of a stretch. I think Dano is the type that likes a good bit of humor, and reading a bit of this, I felt it might fit. It's a sprite-based webcomic with animated panels, following a video game character called Kid Radd. As far as I can tell, it has a good bit of humor about if videogame characters were self-aware and knew they were under the control of someone else. The series is supposedly complete, so you don't need to follow it forever, unlike VG Cats or Penny Arcade.

http://hlcomic.com/smallbanner.gif

Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman (http://hlcomic.com/archive/). Yes. I'm kind of cheating on this by suggesting two comics, but I wanted to make sure I provided something you'd be into. As for this series, it is a webcomic made using the garry's mod modification of Half-Life 2. If you're familiar with that game, then this is a very funny read. If you're not, it's still very good, but some in-jokes may be lost in translation.

Western/Traditional Comic!

http://www.comicartcommunity.com/gallery/data/media/577/ultx069_cov11.jpg

Ultimate X Men. There are a few reasons that I chose this. First, is that you like Naruto and Avatar: The Last Airbender. In Naruto and Avatar, there are different elemental abilities and such, and the plot seems to float around epic battles and teenage drama. Ultimate X Men is a retelling of the X Men series in Marvel's Ultimate Universe, much like Spiderman. X Men, like Naruto, contains a wide variety of characters. A lot of these characters also have interesting abilities and powers. Also, a big feature of X men in general is the overarching theme of acceptance and rejection which relates to the feel of teenage angst present in both Naruto and Avatar from time to time. Also, it usually has funny moments every now and them to cut the seriousness with some characters.

Manga/Manhwa!

http://static.minitokyo.net/view/45/04/342745.jpg

666 Satan/O-Parts Hunter (http://www.onemanga.com/666_Satan/). This was the easiest conclusion to come to. Why, you may ask? Because this series was created by Seishi Kishimoto, younger twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto. The artistic style is very similar, with an aesthetic touch similar to Dragonball thrown in. The themes of this series are also similar to Dragonball and Naruto as well, but it is done in a slightly more mature fashion. The series also revolves around Judeo/Christian symbolism and ideals to drive the plot along. The characters are a little less diverse than Naruto's, but in exchange, they are fleshed out more. Female characters also play a more significant role here than in Naruto, making this series a bit less sexist in the 'guys are stronger than girls' mentality. Also, the series is complete, which gives another advantage over Naruto. you can follow the link to read it, but know that you can also buy volumes of the American Version, 'O-Parts Hunter', which is unedited besides the title, which was changed to appeal more to the Western market.

Does that have anything to do with the machinima series on youtube? Well, almost all Machinima based on HL2 use the same mod. If there's a video series for Concerned, then it's probably a video adaptation.

Webcomic: Scary Go round

http://www.scarygoround.com/sgr/strips/20020604.png

The first Page of the comic :D Sorry there was no cool cover art or splash page that could perk your interest.

Scary Go Round is a webcomic set in the fictional West Yorkshire[3] town of Tackleford, England, and written by John Allison. Scary Go Round was named one of the best webcomics of 2004 by The Webcomics Examiner. The Sunday Times describes it as "postmodern Brit horror" that is "subtle and stylishly drawn, with a bold cartoon edge".[4] The Morning Star has called it "brilliant, bonkers" and "the best British strip that I've yet found".[5] Scary Go Round won the Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards in 2003 for Outstanding Original Digital Art, in 2005 and in 2007 for Outstanding Comic.

From Wikipedia

Where as i recommend a lot of Zuda comics to people on the virtue i like high production value; Scary Go Round humors goes a long way in keeping me interested and having fun in reading it. Plus it's british. Everyone knows they write the best stories xD. Jk but it's really good.

Manga:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7a/Zombie_Loan_Volume_1.jpg

When a human is marked to die, a faint gray line that is invisible to most appears around their neck. As time passes, that ring becomes darker and darker, until it is eventually black, and that person dies. Kita Michiru has an unusual gift, she posses "Shinigami eyes," which allow her to see these rings. When Michiru notices that two of the boys in her Class, Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito not only have rings, but that they're jet black, they reveal to her that they were supposed to die in a tragic accident six months ago. With the help of the Zombie Loan loan office, they were given a second chance at life, should they be able to pay for their debt by doing the work of Shinigami and killing malicious zombies. They petition Michiru to assist them in their efforts, and she finds her everyday life changing dramatically.

From Onemanga.

I originally checked it out because it was listed as a horror manga. I thought it was really good and here i am suggesting it to you. It's more shoujo in nature like the cover would indicate and i guess it runs some similarity with Vampire Knight (i wouldn't know i haven't read VP) but i suggest you give it a try.

American Comics:

Bone

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/26/Out_from_Boneville.jpg

It's a all age comic that I like and not being intimately familiar with your interest i thought i should suggest this because it's funny and epic.

The series itself centers around the Bone Family, white, bald cartoon caricatures with big noses. In the opening pages the three Bone cousins—avaricious Phoncible P. "Phoney" Bone, goofy cigar-smoking Smiley Bone, and everyman character Fone Bone—are run out of their hometown of Boneville after Phoney decides to run for mayor with disastrous results. After crossing a desert and ending up in the mysterious Valley, the cousins are separated by a sea of locusts, and must individually make their way across the fantasy landscape pursued by rat creatures. They joyously reunite at a local village called Barrelhaven, where they are taken in by a mysterious girl named Thorn and her even more enigmatic grandmother. Fone Bone instantly develops a crush on Thorn when he meets her, and repeatedly attempts to prove his love through poetry. As they stay longer in the valley, they encounter humans and other creatures who are threatened by a decrepit dark lord, the Lord of the Locusts. The Bones are quickly drawn into the events around them, compelling them on a hero's journey to help save the world.

Although Boneville is never actually shown in the story, it is implied as technologically contemporary: Fone refers to its extensive downtown, Phoney carries dollar bills, and Smiley refers to the presence of nuclear reactors and a CornDogHut.TM In contrast, the Valley is depicted as somewhat medieval, judging by its lifestyle, use of a bartering system, weapons and modes of transportation, and Phoney persistently refers to the valley people as "yokels."

Although essentially a high fantasy, Bone also displays slapstick humor, particularly in The Great Cow Race (issue #10) and Phoney Bone's ongoing efforts to become rich off the credulous valley residents. As the series progresses to graver issues and a more serious level, its characteristic use of broad humor lessens but continues to recur.

From Wikipedia Above ^ and Bottom V

Bone has received numerous awards, among them ten Eisner Awards[3][4][5][6][7] and eleven Harvey Awards.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16] The 1,342 page compilation was put on Time magazine's list of Top Ten Graphic Novels of All Time.[17]

There's one supersize volume edition that's printed in the original B&W version while as there is a scholastic version with full color. I like the full color better myself but it'll be cheaper if you go B&W.

You can easily find it at your local Barnes and Nobles or you can order off the net. It's cheaper that way :D

It's more shoujo in nature like the cover would indicate and i guess it runs some similarity with Vampire Knight (i wouldn't know i haven't read VP) but i suggest you give it a try.

American Comics:

Bone

The manga sounds splendid.

I'll make sure to check it out sometime.

Also, forgive the previous links for scary go round. The series had recently ended and the author had now started on a new series. He archived his previous works and made the links i had made out of date.

Again, it's a great series and you pick up on it.
