Before I go on another one of my rants, I was wondering how many forum members were tennis fans like I am? I don't follow it religiously, but I like to get in on the occasional match. I've been really interested in seeing Oudin play lately. Other than her serve, I think she's a fantastic player. Sort of disappointed that Roddick didn't make it. I've definitely been rooting for him over the past couple years, especially after that great match with Federer.

I loooooove tennis, although I only watch a couple of tournaments, (French, US Open and Wimbledon)..the others, I just watch the final. I also like to play tennis. My favourite player is Nadal..I like to see him win every match! :D Murray is my least favourite. He is so up himself, and I hate arrogant players like him. I lol'ed when he lost the other day. loooooooool.

I really love to play Tennis. (which I do)
I'm busy now with school and all, so I don't get a big chance to watch U.S. Open a lot. But I do like watching it every now and then. In a way, it helps me think about myself as a tennis player and what I can do to improve.

I agree so much! I hate that stuck up little-so-and-so, even if he is British. I relish in his defeats >=D And I don't really follow Tennis that much, I'm boring and support Federer.

I despise Murray. His attitude, his appearance, his Adam's apple. Ewewew.

This is exactly the reason why I don't like him.
He makes such a big deal out of being "Scottish" and not "British" .. ugh.

LOL!
Williams sisters deserve what they get, especially Serena. I can't stand either of them.

Who here saw Serena flip out?
I did and it was awesome.
I probably have a few details mixed around, but here's the short of it:
Against Kimmy on the final set, she got a foot fault, double faulted, making the score 15 - 40, match point. Afterwards, she went up to the lines person, showed her the tennis ball, and listed off a string of profanities and the like. Something along the lines of "if you ever do that again, I'll shove this ball down your throat." Except she dropped the f-bomb about a dozen times in that sentence. The lines person was RIGHT by the stands, too, so the audience heard. She went back, got ready to serve, hesitated, went back to the lines person, waved her racket and threatened her again with another sentence filled with swears, then went back to serve. Ref asked the lines person to come over, asked them what happened, and then gave Kimmy the point, which won her the match. Entire crowd booed Serena up until the point where she lost the match and left.
Normally, anyone who would say something like that would be completely disqualified from the tournament. Thing is, she hadn't played doubles in the final with her sister yet. She was fined the maximum (10k) allowed and, last I heard, they're reviewing it to see if there's enough there for further action.
Like I said, they deserve everything that they get. I hate the Williams sisters.
