This... this my friends is one of my favorite animes of all time. I just LOVED this show (and I'm enjoying the manga as well). I don't really know what else to say about it. This is one of the very very few animes that I give a full 10/10 to (this one and Rurouni Kenshin - Trust and Betrayal OVA are the only ones I give 10/10 to so far.)

Amazing anime.

Well GTO is usually on Cartoon Network last time I checked and on onDemand if you get Comcast/Surewest. I'm not sure if they show it on TechTv anymore with Anime Unleashed. But GTO is a really extremely hillarious show and I love it.

Well since this thread has been revived, I'm going to revise my statement about GTO. I don't think it's as great as when I originally created this thread. The manga was way, way better than the TV series. I've also seen a lot of anime now that is a lot better than GTO was. So now I give GTO like a 7/10.

Well didn't you want the threads revived? Well as to your statement about the manga I haven't really gotten that far into GTO. I thought I just start with some AMV's then see some of the series to see if I wanted to get into it or get into Naruto and that wasn't as great as the promotion video was. So I decided I go with GTO since it was on AnimeUnleashed and then my parents got rid of Surewest for cable and then AnimeUnleashed went with it so not much anime is on TechTv now since that happened. So whenever its on OnDemand I go watch it there. I have to say that it's not as good as Initial D and some other anime that I'm into right now. So I would have to give it a 5/10.

Yeah revival is fine. I still love the show. It's also one of the few shows that I think I might have liked better in English than in Japanese (only because David Lucas totally owned the Onizuka role). The supporting cast in the english version sucked, though. It was a very feel-good show, it was almost never depressing at the end of an episode or anything.

Hm I thought it was just fine a little annoying some times but not as bad as some other shows I've seen. I think that was the first anime without a depressing ending or so I've heard anyways. Not positive though since it's been quite some time that it's been out. I mean Escaflowne was almost the same way but

Hitomi and Van seperated in Anime

you don't want that because most people love happy endings.
None the less what I've seen is great..

A lot of animes have happy endings. Quite a few don't. I would say it's far more frequent that you see animes where individual episodes will end on a depressing note (and eventually the show will become or end happy). GTO doesn't even have any depressing episodes I don't believe.

I really haven't seen any depressing episodes actually. Just a lot of bad attitude with teenagers..lol.

I completely agree with you. GTO was an amazing anime series and is occupied in my top 5. Never read the manga though, maybe I should. :)

Yeah maybe I should read it to. Sometimes things are taken out or put in like books with movies. So I never know until I read the manga see the series and any movies with it..

I felt like overall the story in the manga was presented better. There were some inconsistencies between the two, and overall I liked the manga's plot line better. The ending was also a bit better, in my opinion.

I can't recall what all of the differences were specifically.
