Drake pulled the blade out of the furnace. It had taken him 3 months to make it yet every minute was worth it. He placed it in water to cool the looked around his shop lining the walls on steel racks were many swords of unigue shapes, designs and decor. His talant for smithcraft was as of yet unrecognised by anyone outside his village but he did'nt care. He simply loved what he created.
Drake pulled his newly formed blade out of the water and marvled at his finished product. This new sword was his finest creation by far, and it was the one he would not sell, for it was HIS. He reached into a box under the counter for a sheath for the blade. All the sheaths he had were the same, universally built to fit every blade he made. But his newest one wouldn't fit. Darn, he thought, I'll have to make a new sheath for this one. He set the new sword on a rack with others that he had made and then set off for bed. He would have to think of a name for his blade sometime.
As he set off for bed, his nameless blade glowed in the moonlight with a silver and gold reflection, the steel seemed to be translucent and the ruby in the hilt glowed. With a last glance his finest blade, Drake retired into a hamock by the furnace, not knowing he had just forged his own destiny.

Outside of town, five figures looked out over it from a hill shrouded in trees. The first, Rant looked to the others and said, "We need a place to stay tonight, Since we lost the imperials five days ago, we can rest in that village over there."
"What if they catch up to us while we are sleeping?" Said the one called Sino.
"I said we lost them five days ago." Rant said. "They wont catch up."
"Rant is right." said the girl to the right. "We need rest and mabey some food."
"Aye, food" said the dwarf.
"And weapons." Said Livia. "I dont Know about you guys but my swords a tad dull and rusty."
"In the morning I will see if I can find a Smithy in town." Replied Rant.
"Agreed." Said the others. Then they set out for the village by the moon light.

On the peak of a black mountian there stood a Castle carved of pure Obsidian. In the day it would shine with blinding reflection, at night it was part of the dark sky.
By moonlight, was the most evil construct in the world. Inside resided one who ruled with Iron fists, powerful magics, and a firey temper. She watched over the land daring anyone to oppose her. Some did...
