Is anybody participating in NaNoWriMo this year?

For those of you who don't know, NaNoWrimo, otherwise known as National Novel Writing Month, is a writing challenge held every November. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel (or 50,000 words of a novel) starting November first and ending November 30th at 11:59 PM.

Otherwise, discuss! Anyone a NaNo Veteran? Share your tips and tricks for pumping out those words (and staying sane while doing it). Is this your first year to attempt this literary madness? Best of luck to you!

Yikes, I guess it kind of does, doesn't it? It's not how I meant it at all, but most people I talk to are usually like "What the heck is NaNoWriMo?". I thought some clarification was in order. ^^;

(And the fact that I'm incredibly awkward with starting threads doesn't help >.>)

I just genuinely wanted to know who else here was crazy enough to do this.
