Jessixx and Darky are the first two members of it so we are not looking for anymore people as of now that can have what it takes to join the Design Team. You can tell who is part of the Design Team since when you look at them on the forum they are the people in Purple.

The main focus as of now is to create signatures and avatars for people that request but more things will be added as we get it set up in the future. They still have to follow rules limit on the site.

If you steal the designs of the ones who created it then you will be suspended no questions asked. What I mean is if you say it is yours when it is someone else's.

- Know how to keep things organized for the members. That way you're both setting an example and making sure no one is disappointed.

- Have good grammar, punctuation, and spelling--this is so everyone will understand you. We want people talking this way: "And that is how things work around here", instead of: "lol i no rite"

- Tell us what you're good at so we know what to expect of you! This will eliminate the factor and excuse of "but I didn't know that", etc...

Adobe Photoshop is NOT free (it's like $500)... but a very similar program: The Gimp is free.

Actually you don't need any 'previous' photoshops. CS2 is the newest, thus if you get a trial for it you shouldn't need any previous versions.

Unless you like having a perma-photoshop from a previous version, of course.

The Design Team is in charge of creating Graphical art for members. They take requests, and please the users with them. Basically, it's a little group of Staff Members united to create GFX art for you guys to enjoy ;)

Hmm, this is when i wish i hadn't decided to get myself more of a life 2 years back :p. I'm so rusty in PS now it's just not funny. Hmm..well, I'm moving to New Zealand soonish in which i'll probably have bundles of spare time sitting at home to practice and hopefully be back up to WOAH standard lol; then i can hopefully apply. Made a new sig in a couple of mins or so (roughly 15)...bit shoddy. I quite like the background render i did in C4D though - that's one of my strengths i guess (abstract renders).

I am obsessed with working on photoshop, it is the best program ever made I think. I am always taking screenshots of kingdom hearts movies on youtube, cropping them, then making them look nice, and in the end they become my sig. So to make it short, I love to make sigs, or I like to make pictures look good.

I log onto the forums everyday, actually..it has me logged in forever...it's strange.

I'm not as good as Jessix..hehe

What I really do is make pictures look nice, filter them, a nice clear border, and an inspirational/touching quote in the corner. I have brushes and fonts, but I rather keep to my style. I like to watch the youtube, as I said, and take screenshots, I have a real good eye for capturing the scenes that would look good as a sig, it takes a few times to catch it, but I always get it..So here are some I have done:

No, not at all. We're all using MSN in some form or another, and having to run another IM client is a pain in the ass, especially since we do all of our staff meetings and such over MSN.

To add, the images that you're using as your base look low quality and compressed. Your cutouts look like you went at them with scissors. Your fonts do not look professional, muchless readable. Your background blends don't flow well, one of them even looks like multiple backgrounds just pasted side by side with no blending. Your best one is the top one. It looks amateurish though. Making a good piece of artwork does not mean taking an abstract background and adding a picture to it. There is definitely more to it than that. Also, I think the lack of artistic text on the top one puts it in the "not very good" department.

I'd say you need to improve on your choice of images and the way you render them..soften them so they 'dissolve' into the background. You have some good base ideas i.e. the idea of having sora and roxas on opposite sides - seeing as they are opposites in a way. On the point of renders, to start out with you might want to get easier renders to use (selections)..i.e official art as it has the image placed on an expanse of white..this way you can use the magic wand -> right click -> select inverse -> copy and paste into sig.

Don't over-complicate things with too many ideas and images - it causes clashes. Remember 'S.I.G' - 'Simple.Is.Good'. Opacity levels are a wonderful thing in blending, learn to love them.

Try some tutorials on deviantart - and while you're there grab some brushes and 3d renders. Practice enough and you'll be up there in no time.. You could also look do a search about (and read about) colours, where they lie on the wheel, which ones contrast and which ones harmonise. Contrast and harmony are very useful and important in making art too!

I'm getting carried away here. Hopefully this will be a basis for you to start improving upon.

I can see exactly what you've done with your sig's, but wow you know about C4D's!

You've basically copied the layer multiple times and blurred the layers, setting them all to either Screen or Lighten. You've just added some vector brush layers and a bit of Fractal Grunge and slapped some text on :)

Experiment more, although I do think you're good enough for the team.

Jess you almost nailed it, no brushes in this one though, use smudge and sharpen for cartoony light sigs, ill post one with a bit more depth etc. yes OD I use C4d but switched to vista and its not working and I'm trying to get some cash to buy a compatible version.

But Miss-Blinky, if you want to make the part--NEXT TIME, of course--I'd suggest downloading pre-cut renders from Planetrenders or some free source like that.

It'd make your signatures appeal more without the choppyness of the magic wand tool.
