Why so much FF?

Why is the majority of the square area FF? Square soft and Enix have came out with much better games then that. Let's talk about other better games by square.

Your joking I hope?? We talk about FF cause Square Enix created it .. And if you have played Kh than you would know that there are FF games in it? The reason for forums is too talk about what you wanna talk about as long as it's appropiate.. And it's your opinion that Square Enix has created better games than FF. :)

I wouldn't say there are many things better, and it was their most successful series, but I do remember such games as Gun Hazard and Chrono Trigger. I'm also playing Star Ocean at the moment, which is cool lol. I didn't really play the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest 7 is probably my favorite DQ. It gets much better later on. And Cloud blade I know that but this is the other Square game section. Sure FF is a good series but that's all anyone talks about with square. They have much better series like DQ, Star Ocean, and a bunch others. ANd FF is not there most secssesful series in Japan Dragon Quest is much more popular then FF. And about the only game you are all talking about in the other square section is FF. There are much more(and better) games to talk about. ANyways the only real good FF are the first 6. You might think 7 bis the best like most think but it's just the same story as 6.

I played a few DQ games and thought they were crap. lol. Chrono Cross was absolutely fantastic, I wish they would make a sequel to that.

This is slightly off topic, but did anyone every play EarthBound for the SNES? Probably my favorite RPG outside of Square, just wondering because I have never met anyone who has played or so much as heard of that game. lol

It was never released over here. :( But I've played the ROM. Riku, have you ever played Super Smash Brothers? That kid Ness is one of the main characters in Earthbound.

Yeah, I've a friend who's played earthbound, but I haven't. I heard it was ok, but not great.

I loved it! Totally different than any other RPG really. They come up with a lot of funny names for enemies. "Annoying party guy", "Mad Taxi man" "Mondo Mole", "Titanic Ant", lol. But as fun as it is I have never beat it. It is soooo hard at the end, you'll be lucky to even get to the end boss, which is a nightmare on it's own.

My complaint is with that people talk to much about FF in the square thread. Square has more games then FF. I know there are alot of FF and I don't mind that. I'm just saying that the people talk to much about it.

I guess because Square - Enix wants a break fom Kingdom Hearts there making more Final Fantasy games Ia don't know the exact reason but I think it has to do with money and a high apppeal for the Final Fantasy games then again I think there is money and appeal for Kingdom Hearts and other games Square- Enix make.

No that's wrong. Over in japan Dragon Quest is a much more popular game. More people play them because it's a real RPG. So it isn't their most popular. FF12 wasn't very good because the story just plain out sucked with no love intrest in the game. I still like FF it's just that the first time I came into thius section every thread was about FF except for 1 or 2. So I'm just saying people should also talk about other ones.

Hey bud, I think you should check your statistics. Dragon Quest has sold more copies in Japan than other series (including Final Fantasy), but overall, on a worldwide scale, Final Fantasy has sold many millions more than Dragon Quest (and indeed Kingdom Hearts, Chrono, etc).

That DQ is popular in Japan is undisputed, but there are not that many Japanese people on this board.

Regardless, you're entirely welcome to talk about other Square games as you like, but please do not try to disrupt other peoples pleasure in discussion Final Fantasy.
